Kommentare: I've researched Buildbook since they started out with a different company.With the company that I've been with for the last 2+ years we worked with 4-5 different types of software which was cumbersome and not efficient. not to mention having no access to a specific software if they had a bug. With Buildbook we have everything we need within reach in the office or on location.The chat feature to be able to talk with the team as well as with the clients and to document things is a nice huge feature.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, visibility and accessibility for non-tech workers.Software encompasses almost everything needed for our daily operations, it eliminated using 4-5 different types of software.

Nachteile:

We wish there were more (enhanced) CRM type of features

Great startup with lots of potential

Vorteile:

The price and value for money is the best I've seen. The user experience is clean, simple and easy to navigate.

Nachteile:

There are a lot of features lacking and some feel like very obvious oversights such as not being able to see profit margin % from a project's financials.

Initial thoughts

Kommentare: Good. The people seem great. I do believe they will work the issues and help to create product that is in tune with the current market needs.

Vorteile:

When I first looked into it I was happy to have a product that was easy for tracking leads and providing a project tool for our employees

Nachteile:

The inability to turn a won lead into a project. It’s redundant to have to take the notes from the lead and redo them once a project is won.

Intuitive Software That We Have Been Needing

Kommentare: Overall very positive experience. Very friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable staff. We have really enjoyed switching to BuildBook.

Vorteile:

Easy to learn and use. Free onboarding sessions with handy reviewable transcripts. Estimate templates, easily use past jobs as a template for new ones, partial access for subs, cost book, and contact lists.

Nachteile:

It has some areas that are not customizable e.g. the categories to list potential projects under. We can work within it well enough but it would be nice to change the titles to fit our company's jargon.

Fantastic Value

Kommentare: Client management has been better with BuildBook, for those who choose to use it.

Vorteile:

It's easy to use if you're new to using construction software and don't want to spend a lot of money on an alternative like Buildertrend.

Nachteile:

It's newer so there are still some features that I'd like to be included like Quickbooks integration.

Amazing! Simple to use, and beats out the competition

Kommentare: Great! The communication from customer service is phenomenal and I am extremely happy with choosing this service

Vorteile:

It's easy to use and not overcomplicated like other apps. Great for smaller companies that do a lot of the work themselves and don't need those overpriced and complicated systems.

Nachteile:

They only thing I've found to "not like" is that is doesn't calculate the days lost from the initial construction schedule but it's easy enough to figure out how to calculate that on your own.

Great Market Fit, But Need to Counter-Balance Cost-Plus Construction

Kommentare: I enjoy it as a tool for promoting a greater customer experience. I don't know how much I would say that it helps me run my construction business at this point.

Vorteile:

The market distinctive for my business is this software and my design process. This program achieves my goal of promoting high-level visibility between me and the client while allowing me to have a project management system that is efficient and clean.

Nachteile:

As mentioned before, the product feels like it's been built so heavily around the customer experience that it's weak on the project execution features. More specifically the financial management and scheduling side of the project. In regards to the former, the financial management system is almost entirely communicative. But it doesn't actually serve me in any significant ways of managing my financials. The scheduling system is clunky. I don't know if this is a feature but I hope that you guys will allow for a microsoft project integration as I will have to explore other products to schedule construction as Buildbook's system takes way too long.

Easy to make the switch and adapt to

Kommentare: Their customer service team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping users overcome any challenges or inquiries they may have. Whether we needed assistance with onboarding, have questions about specific features, or encounter technical issues, BuildBook's support team was there to provide timely and effective solutions every time, which has made our transition from our previous software easy and stress-free.

Vorteile:

BuildBook offers a comprehensive system of project management tools tailored for the construction industry but can be adapted to our architecture firms needs as well. The software allows you to create and manage projects, track tasks, and assign responsibilities to team members effortlessly. With its interactive Gantt chart and milestone tracking, you can visualize project timelines, monitor progress, and stay on top of deadlines which we love here at our design/build firm.

Nachteile:

While BuildBook offers a good degree of customization in terms of project management and dashboard settings, some users may desire more flexibility in tailoring the software to their specific needs. Depending on your preferences and requirements, you may find certain customization options to be limited for businesses that offer more than construction services.

Me Use

Kommentare: It’s been a good experience for a first time builders software user.

The level of ease that I was experiencing using it.

Nachteile:

I’m having some issues with using the app with my current mobile service.

Construction Managements

Vorteile:

The ability to share all the information for the project with our Pro Team and and clients the ability to access their selections.

Nachteile:

WE have just started using it, so I haven't found anything I dislike.

Build Book Review

Kommentare: I think our initial on boarding process overall went very well for us. Again, the BuildBook team was extremely responsive.

Vorteile:

I like the social media feel of the application which make its easy to use and easy to follow. When something does need to be reviewed or looked back upon, it's still easy to go back and find a picture or document that I'm looking for.

Nachteile:

Like any other app, there are bugs that cause some issues in the functionality but the Build Book team was super responsive and pushed out new updates very quickly.

I like the management aspect, scheduling. The estimate is also easy to use. I like it so far. There is a lot of features I'm not using right now so still have a lot to learn

Nachteile:

I don't like that when you add the payment schedule it changes the order of how you input it. I also which it would be a way to do invoicing directly but I heard it's coming.

Why should you use buildbook

Kommentare: We have centralized all of our projects info in Buildbook

Straightforward app to be used in your office or on the go

Nachteile:

unselect all option missing Filter notifications by one or multiple people/projectI am quite sure filtering is not either working properly or not giving me information in real time

Switched from BuilderTrend to BuildBook!

Vorteile:

I like that BuildBook is very streamlined. Other software that I've used in the past was unnecessarily complicated

Nachteile:

I would like to be able to apply my invoice payments to specific components of the budget rather than just applying lump sum payments to the overall total. It would be ideal to be able to track how much each budgetary component is paid down at any given time.

Great value with a great team behind it

Kommentare: Buildbook keeps my company organized and keeps clients from texting and calling me all the time. It’s invaluable.

Vorteile:

I love how intuitive it is. I have had every client rave about it.

Nachteile:

It has no estimating feature and needs line items under base costs to show the breakdown of each base cost.

Great Construction Management Software

Vorteile:

This is a great construction management software that lets you generate and manage schedules and materials selections with your customers, employees, and subs. It's easy to use and intuitive for your customers to navigate.

Nachteile:

I would like to see an integrated employee time-tracking option and the budgeting system should be easier to adjust based on the quantity of material used, more like a traditional spreadsheet. You will still need to maintain a separate spreadsheet with all your costs and then transfer the final numbers over to buildbook.

Great tool to track project progress!

Kommentare: Great product for communication between owner, manager, employees, clients, and subcontractors!

Vorteile:

We use this tool primarily to track job progress internally as well as with clientele. We use this software daily, whether it is creating task lists to be completed or post pictures and captions, and we love that we are able to post these progress updates to enhance internal scheduling as well as keep the client updated throughout the process. That being said, the communication capability with all parties is what we love most!

Nachteile:

The to-do lists and tasks seem difficult to create, and I wasn’t aware of several other features prior to taking this questionnaire. Perhaps a tutorial or help guide would be useful in lieu of the chat option. Also, previously I had issues uploading multiple pictures and getting posts to create/post, but that seems to have been improved in the most recent update.

LOVE this APP!

Kommentare: We have only been using BB for a few months so we still have a lot more fun to get into and learn however, what we have delved into so far has been nothing less than fantastic! This app allows you to be detailed, organized, trendy and gives your business a very professional look. The Customer service I have experienced has been excellent. Thank you for having LIVE CHAT!!

Vorteile:

What I like most about Build Book is that the majority of our Client job info can be tracked, entered and stored in one location and the best part is that our whole team can access all the job info seamlessly. I love the SELECTIONS Category, having a visual component in the room view is so nice! Build Book is super easy to navigate, you can add or remove as much or as little information to each job.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if we could customize what what categories we would like to print from the Selections category. This would be handy to be able to hand over to individual suppliers for ordering. It would also be nice if there was a communal group chat that could take place instead of only being able to chat within a particular job.

Small Builder

Kommentare: So far our company has had a great time using buildbook, Customers seem to like it as well!

Vorteile:

We choose to use buildbook based on a competitive price point. User friendly for our less tech skilled employees. Having notifications on my phone for what parts of my projects are to happen each date is great

Nachteile:

Wish customers could have a sign off box on material sections

BuildBook Review

Kommentare: No problems at all, I have enjoyed the experience of using the software as well as working with the BuildBook team.

Vorteile:

BuildBook has helped get my construction company organized. I enjoy the client facing side and team facing sides, and that all project information is in one place.

Nachteile:

I have a few ideas that I have shared with [SENSITIVE CONTENT], who are both responsive and helpful.

Software that bridges the gaps

Kommentare: The customer service is phenomenal, they are always asking me what features they can implement to make BuildBook better suit managing the company.

Vorteile:

BuildBook has a very easy interface that is easily used by my team. They have everything you need in 1 organized location with many options to improve efficiency on the management side of the business.

Nachteile:

The schedule display could be improved when using it on a cell phone. Would like to see a calendar view of how the current and scheduled jobs fit together, but I believe that is being discussed.

Fantastic project tracking tool

Kommentare: The whole idea of this app is being able to improve communication between team members and our customers. Being able to see the multiple projects, see its status, communicate solutions, and answer customer’s questions. The idea extends to the team that created the app, the team at Buildbook. If there’s one thing I can say about them, its that they have excellent communication and customer service!

Vorteile:

Being able to see progress on every project, and directly communicate and comment on individual project posts along with the home owner/customer

Nachteile:

Still a few bugs here and there. One of the more consistent bugs is our team will run into problems uploading photos. But the Buildbook team is so responsive and prompt to address our feedback and squash those bugs. Even our feedback regarding certain requests to improve the user interface gets addressed!

Easy to Use

Kommentare: Enjoy it so far and looking forward to learning more as we work through our first project which is a new custom build.

Vorteile:

Makes communicating all phases of construction and scheduling to the team very easy. Very helpful with meeting order deadlines and sharing selection pictures and costs room to room.

Nachteile:

Would like to see overall budget integration with Excel or Sheets. Would also like to see interface with Construction Financing/Billing in the future.
