GolfStatus - your website services and support staff ROCK!

Kommentare: We have nothing but fantastic things to say about GolfStatus and all of the staff we have had the privilege of working with. Overall, they make sure you are taken care of and feel like a top priority to them. I cannot recommend them enough!

Vorteile:

4 key points for us about this software: 1) The customer service is on point for GolfStatus. I think any question we have had has been answered within a 10 minute window and the staff has went above and beyond to make sure we understand things and are taken care of. 2) The appearance of the website: the interface is clean and direct. It's pretty simple to understand for users (and once you get the hang of it, the back end is pretty good as well!) 3) Setting things up: This is made easy for almost anyone to do. We love the features! 4) Payment: The site being tied to Stripe has made our lives so much easier! I cannot begin to talk about how many hours the website has saved us as a team in organizing the event.

Nachteile:

There really are no big cons we can think of. If I was nitpicking it all, I would say there are some reports that could be easier to pull / run for the event -but that's really nitpicking at it.

Alleviate Your Admin Duties with GS!

Kommentare: Overall experience was top-notch! The customer support as an admin was very hands-on as we prepped for our first event using GS. I loved that printouts were available already on how to use the app for scorekeeping. It made it easy for us to "sell" our participants on using the app over a paper scorecard.

Vorteile:

I like that it's a one-stop shop with respect to scorekeeping and registration. Some sponsored items were easily ordered with GS's help, but I would appreciate even more involvement in this aspect of event planning. One of the major headaches I experience is ordering sponsored items off of 3rd party sites, proofing artwork, ensuring timely production and delivery, fronting the money, and requesting reimbursement from the sponsor. Lots of coordination! I appreciated the experience we had with GS and our pin flag sponsor, for example. Once the sponsorship slot was filled, all that was needed was the logo and payment to cover the expense. GS took care of the rest (thank you!).

Nachteile:

As a person crunching the numbers and keeping tabs on all of our donors/contributions, it would be helpful if there was a download that has a comprehensive list of all participants (regardless of their classification) to see how are proceeds were derived from. Even having 1 tab on a download contain contact names, email addresses, package(s) purchased, and purchase amounts would have saved me some time grabbing information from different sources.

Worth it for a golf tournament

Kommentare: It was great--the team at golf status is incredibly responsive and helpful! Again, I think if you’re looking for a quick, easy, and inexpensive golf tournament management software you’re in the right place.

Vorteile:

I think its an easy registration software when you have a specific event like a golf tournament with 4 players on a team and holes etc.

Nachteile:

Unfortunately, it was marketed to us as something that could be customized depending on our needs, and that was not entirely true due to the technological constraints on the software to be JUST for golf tournaments.

A Huge Help To Our Event And Our Cause

Kommentare: Great software and tool, OUTSTANDING customer care/support. I've used other tools and pulled together my own tools (Constant Contact, Paypal, MailChimp...), GolfStatus made my life so much easier. I am a fan and loyal customer for life. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was an outstanding liaison from an account perspective and [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was always there when we needed him for administrative/website support. Really impressed with the tool, but LOVED the support from start to finish.

Vorteile:

The software was easy to use as the administrator and easy to use for our golfers and donors. Not complicated.

Nachteile:

I would like to get the sponsors more "eyeball space", perhaps on the front page. I know the Tech Sponsor is a big deal for GolfStatus, but I don't like that we have to go to a separate tab to see the sponsors.I also would like to be able to load my marketing list and create an outreach tool via GolfStatus - I use Mailchimp, I'd rather get rid of that and have it all integrated into the same platform.

Kommentare: Our reps have always been extremely helpful and responsive, no matter if our tournament is the next day, or a year out. It's always very comforting knowing we have them there to help.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use with golf status and that they make it a seamless transition each year for us by building out the page for us, we just make small adjustments based on what we've changed on our end. I like that our customers seem to have a fairly easy time getting their information loaded in.

Nachteile:

For some reason this year, the website feature was not working for our sponsors. Whenever they would try to add their website, it would say that it was not a URL so I would then get a phone call and I'd have to tell them to just not add a website and I would then add it later. I also don't like that I can't prioritize packages by reordering them on my own. They're instead automatically ordered by price so then sometimes it's confusing because certain things should naturally go together/next to each other.

The customer support is probably the top highlight of GolfStatus. [sensitive content hidden] was quick to respond when needed, and previous employees we have worked with had the same urgency. The platform has a sleek design and setup is pretty straightforward.

Nachteile:

We were disappointed to learn that the discount codes now carry a cost with using them.

Kommentare: I don't know the firt thing about golf tournaments and GolfStatus makes it possible to run a successful event. The website is super user friendly and literally does it all for you. We've used GolfStatus for our event for the last two years and it's been wonderful!

Vorteile:

First, the customer service is outstanding. Any question or problem I have, they help quickly and efficiently. I love that it's a one stop shop - register for a team, purchase add ons, sign up as a sponsor. I love the ability to look at payout reports. The options of how to view and download the data is great.

Nachteile:

Sponsors are asked up upload their images but they aren't high enough quality to use for signage. This means we have to ask for another logo from our sponsors. There is also no good way to download the images from GolfStatus. Last year we had the complaint that the website didn't work properly with browsers other than Chrome. As a Chrome user, I didn't notice and I don't believe we had complaints this year, but I wanted to note it in case it still needs addressed.

ASHRAE Golf outing

Vorteile:

The user interface and ease of managing a golf outing is so much easier with GolfStatus. I have used this service for about 5 years now, and it makes running a golf outing a breeze.

Nachteile:

I can't really find a con. I have tried running golf outings without GolfStatus, and there is no way I would go back to the old way.

Great Software to steam line golf tournament planning

Kommentare: The biggest problem GolfStatus solved was automating the registration and payment process. It helped make that a lot less manual and alleviate the stress of chasing payments. It also made the event a lot more professional in my opinion.

Vorteile:

The best features of the website were being able to register and pay online easily and be able to track teams, sponsorships, etc. I really liked the reports that were easy to generate such as scorecards, cart signs, player lists and more that saved me time on the back end. It was a nice feature to have the ability to pass on processing fees to participants so it does not take away from money for the fundraiser. I also cannot say enough about the customer service. Every time I had a question my account manager (Paul) promptly got back to me and was very helpful. In our post-event follow up, I shared by feedback and ideas to enhance the website further and it seemed like a lot of my ideas were already in the works so GolfStatus is constantly looking to improve and add new features such as invoicing, easier logo uploading, etc. that will make this an even better product in the future.

Nachteile:

I wish there was a section I could add notes such as "paid by check, comping tee-sign, etc." I think some of the challenges for me was that there were still a good amount of people that wanted to pay check so I had to manage two systems (GolfStatus and a Google spreadsheet) which was time consuming. With the ability to send invoices in the future, hopefully that will be solved. I would like to see a tab where you are able to manage tee-signs in the future (i.e. company name, logo received, sign created, etc.)

Great for Fundraising

Vorteile:

I use golf status once a year to help organize our golf outing which raises money for a few different local nonprofits. The management software is very easy to use and the customer service when I had questions was more than helpful and quick. It is easy for our golfers to use as well and a few simple clicks and they are registered!

Nachteile:

A few of the features on the management side didn't work as well as last year. Seems to be just a glitch. Like any software the fees are always no fun but it makes for such a smooth registration process the day of when everyone has already paid online. It's worth it.

I Used Golf Status for My Hotel's Charity Golf Tournament

Kommentare: For the most part, it was an easy experience - especially for someone like me who does not play golf nor do I understand the rules. Customer service was outstanding and [sensitive content hidden] should be specifically recognized for his attentiveness and availability for all my Golf Status needs. After the tournament was over, I needed to break down the funds we had raised, and their chat service on the site is also outstanding. I got all the information I needed.

Vorteile:

I really liked that the admin interface is pretty user friendly. The other thing that is outstanding is the service and tech support that Golf Status provides.

Nachteile:

I think there may be some more features that should be included as a regular administrator of a tournament page. For example, on the day of the tournament, because Golf Status had closed registration, players were unable to buy mulligans through the site until I contacted someone to open registration again. We had advertised to all the players that they could purchase a mulligan online at any time through the app before players got to their respective holes, but by the time registration was open again, the most effective time to purchase mulligans was over. I felt like maybe this was something I should have been able to do myself.

Vorteile:

I like the way it carries over year to year. The site is easy to change info when I need to. Moving golfers around, sponsorship info, etc.

Nachteile:

I would like to see the availability of sending out emails to sponsors. Also, under "Orders and Payouts" i would like to be able to sort by what it is they paid for. ie. sponsors, registrations, non-golfer dinner, etc.

Great Platform for Golf Tournament Mgmt

Vorteile:

GolfStatus allowed for ease of registration for our sponsors/attendees. We were able to easily and more efficiently sign up our sponsors/attendees, while providing an ease of payment so we were able to collect funds faster. GolfStatus staff ([sensitive content hidden]) was top notch with helping with the set-up, training, and troubleshooting. Quick and friendly responses were super helpful when managing the event planning.

Nachteile:

If you have multiple elements to an event, outside of just golf, customization is needed to incorporate all the registration into one platform.

Great experience

Kommentare: Overall, it was a great experience. Myself and a few others were in charge of planning a charity golf tournament for the first time, and GolfStatus made this manageable in many ways. The GolfStatus staff was there every step of the way to assist and ensure the event was a success.

Vorteile:

GolfStatus was great from the start. We started with a virtual meeting to get our team introduced to GolfStatus, and everything started from there. [sensitive content hidden] and the entire GolfStatus team were extremely helpful and very proactive throughout the entire process which included setting up the website, fine tuning the website’s features, launching the website, and managing registration/donations/add-ons/etc.

Nachteile:

The only con was with the mass email feature that allowed the admin to email all of the registrants. There were only so many words allowed in the email, and it was a little less than we would’ve liked in order to get all of the necessary information to the registrants.

Makes managing a golf outing easy!

Kommentare: Overall, I feel lucky to have found this platform when I first started our annual outing. I had never run a golf outing and am not a golfer, so this make it really easy.

Vorteile:

I like that it is structured specifically for golf outings and gives you all of the tools and reports you need to be organized and professional. I always get comments on how well our outings are run and Golf Status plays a huge part in that.

Nachteile:

I would like the option to list sponsors according to their sponsorship level. It just groups them all together and doesn't allow us to recognize the different levels.

The thing that we liked the least is not being able to pull financial reports but GolfStatus staff is more than happy and willing to help get the information to us.

Kommentare: The registration of our guests so as to eliminate onsite registration was one. Many older golfers wouldn't download the app. Needs an easier registration number. Also, create a template that is easier to read. Designers forget that small type and type in light grays are hard to read and make it more difficult to set things up. Looks good but not practical.

Vorteile:

As a first time golf chairman it helped me organize the golf portion of my event. It enabled me to sell a sponsorship that was never consider (Technology sponsor). If the program did nothing else it helped create this sponsor and got us one sponsor that helped pay for the event with their donation. All other donations went directly to the charity.

Nachteile:

A non profit has certain needs. One is mining the information from the program. They found it difficult to move information from GS to their other programs. PDF's although look great an excel sheet would have been more useful. Information that was downloaded into excel was not in one place. The other thing is that without the online help I would have been lost. As it was I didn't realize I had to terminate the event for the computer to calculate the winners. Non golfers might have a problem understanding the terminology used. Lastly, find a less expensive way than STRIPE especially when you are dealing with a charity.

Great tool, outstanding customer service, good opportunities to increase income

Kommentare: The software was a net benefit to our organization, they very quickly setup our tournament when our alternative option was not coming together. The software worked well and provides a number of good revenue increasing options for organizations to build into their golf tournaments.

Vorteile:

GolfStatus shined best by its customer service from [sensitive content hidden]. The software is relatively intuitive on the admin side and easy to use on the end-user side; but when a question did come up their customer service was absolutely the best I have received from any kind of vendor since pre-pandemic. Registration for end users was smooth and simple, and the necessary tools were available.

Nachteile:

They really need to add 1 additional report that gives all data on 1 tab. The current reports are good, but sometimes it is divided between tabs.

Golf Status Review

Kommentare: Will continue to work with this product. Very simple to learn, admins work with you to find solutions that may not be available in current product.

Ease of use. Flexibility for different types of formats. Customer service is knowlegable and very quick to respond.

Not quite as customizable as we would like.

Easy To Use

Kommentare: This is our second year working with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his team. Everyone is extremely helpful and courteous. The ease of being able to assign sponsors, upload sponsor information, follow teams that have registered online along with being able to add my own teams that will pay later is great.

I like the fact that I can look up teams/players that have registered and paid themselves or add teams as I need who will pay later.

Nachteile:

I do not have access to see who has donated only

Great site for our fundraising scramble

Vorteile:

[sensitive content hidden] has made marketing and registering for our annual golf fundraiser so seamless. He's always quick to get the site online each year and very quick to respond to emails and questions. I tried using our own website's event page once and never again. [sensitive content hidden] Status make it too easy to use anything else!

Nachteile:

I didn't have any issues with any features I used.

Tournament Success 2021

Vorteile:

Using the GolfStatus software system made our event easy to manage. It brought our old paper registration system into the 21st century. I also appreciated the immediate customer support via the chat. I always received help within 5 minutes of requests for support.

Nachteile:

I wanted to have more access to details in the report. Some details could only be added by the customer service representative.

Kommentare: Overall I really appreciated that GolfStatus was available. The non profit option was very helpful for my school and the online registration process made tracking payments easy. I can't wait to use the software again next year!!

Vorteile:

-The customer service was incredible! The Golf Status team seemed willing and eager to help with any questions I had. -The non profit option was incredibly beneficial to my school.

Nachteile:

-It took a little getting used to navigating the software. -The alerts I received when new registrants signed up did not include the name and email of the registrant. I appreciated the email alerts but would have liked to see a name and contact information.
