Remote first? Matter matters

Kommentare: I wasn't sure at first since I hadn't used a system like this before. But now that I've used it for over a year I think it's really valuable. Getting folks to think slightly larger than themselves through peer recognition and surveys helps a remote-first team stay connected.

Vorteile:

For a remote-first company, Matter encourages engagement and peer recognition among team members. It also supports the management team taking the pulse of how people are feeling and what they are thinking about.

Nachteile:

It can be a little pushy to get responses. This might be a configuration option though.

The slam dunk of all activites

Kommentare: Excellent. It helps to lose weight, keep you active, and help you sleep better.

Vorteile:

The challenges and the gift certificates.

Nachteile:

Losing the challenges to my Baby girl [sensitive content hidden]

Easy to use tool

Kommentare: Initially it was a great experience but over time I have become indifferent towards it.

Vorteile:

The tool is very easy to use on desktop.

Nachteile:

There is no real value to it. Over time it starts to lack of impact to provide feedback and alternatively to receive it if there is no benefit.

Great add on

Vorteile:

It is easy to use as it is in Slack which we use every day. It is fun so encourages people to use it. It is easy to use and customise. It provides a little friendly competition with the MVP each week.

Nachteile:

Nothing, it meets all our needs. They also keep adding new features all the time!

Kudos are a game changer for a healthier work culture

Kommentare: I've been a kudos reciever and giver during the last year and a half, and it's a nice way to feel appreciated by your team, to help them feel special because of the connection that Home office lacks. Putting those feelings into words and turning it into a kind of social stream that's commentable and with the ability to add reactions from slack is a very good add-on to everyday work life

Vorteile:

Giving Kudos help us encourage a culture of recognition in all our collaborators, we have a Feedback Friday instituted, to help everyone recognize a specific type of kudo to their peers

Nachteile:

It doesn't have a lot of options, kudos is a very simple functionality, maybe adding diversity on additional stuff apart from the kudos types, that only change color and an icon, it could help

Love having Matter!

Kommentare: Matter is a great and cost-effective solution to boost team morale. I have used similar platforms in the past, but many were cost prohibitive for a small company. The cost is fair, and once you have it set up properly, it requires very little maintenance. This is one of the best things we've done for team morale.

Vorteile:

We use the Teams integration and manage Matter almost entirely from there. Once it's set up, it really runs itself, with Matter encouraging the team weekly to send Kudos, and all approvals and notifications coming through Teams.

Nachteile:

I wish there were bonuses you could award for certain behaviors you want to incentivize. For example, taking a vacation, where the employee could go in and redeem for points themselves, and matter would automatically limit the frequency with which it could be redeemed per employee. That would be the icing on the cake!

My experience with matter

Kommentare: Really good, My overall experience with Matter was positive. The platform provided valuable opportunities for team recognition and helped build a supportive work culture. However, the effectiveness depended on consistent engagement from all team members, which was sometimes lacking. Despite this, Matter was a useful tool for fostering collaboration and boosting morale.

Vorteile:

I enjoyed using Kudos with my colleagues because it fostered a positive and collaborative work environment. Through this tool, I was able to recognize and appreciate my teammates' efforts and dedication instantly, which strengthened our relationships and boosted team morale.

Nachteile:

I found it challenging that some team members didn’t engage with Kudos as much as I expected. This limited the overall impact of the tool, as consistent participation is key to maintaining the positive and encouraging atmosphere it aims to create.

Fantastic Addition to Teams

Kommentare: It has been very good. Our employees love being able to chat and give kudos. It has really brought our team together.

Vorteile:

The social aspect that brings our teams together across 3 locations.

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything. The platform runs smoothly and we like how it integrates with Teams.

Great engagement tool

Kommentare: Really straight forward to onboard and integrate within the company, we were provided materials to circulate, and the install was a simple add in on Teams.

Vorteile:

Matter has really made a positive impact on morale within the company, it has increased engagement and recognition. There are a wide variety of rewards to choose from to suit everyone's tastes

Nachteile:

Just that we didn't implement it sooner!

BEST REWARDS!

Vorteile:

ANALITICS REPORTS were one of my favorite things, also earning prices was great.

Nachteile:

NOTHING IT WAS AWESOME, it might be a little confusing sometimes but once I get use to it.

Using Matter has been a game-changer for our team communication!

Vorteile:

The platform is intuitive, making collaboration seamless. The organization of channels and direct messages keeps everything tidy, and the integrations add tremendous value to our workflow.

Nachteile:

1. A little limited in Kudos output formats 2. There aren't many charities to choose from for donations.

Matter is Amazing at Peer Feedback

Kommentare: Absolutely love it - Matter has been a game changer for us.

Vorteile:

Before Matter, my team had to wait on our managers for feedback. Our managers are too busy which is why my team looked for Matter. It makes getting a pulse on how your peers feel you're doing so easy and dare I say fun.

Nachteile:

Would like to better understand how to use Matter at my company vs just my team.

Increase an engagement of your employees

Vorteile:

The way of kudos, with the option to add customized ones and now the possibility to add some coins and receive some rewards later on, is a perfect tool for motivating your colleagues and making our workdays more fun.

Nachteile:

I would like to see better-structured reports.

The good side of matter

Kommentare: Well in as much of the redirections and all it's a great application that aids in communication for organization

Vorteile:

I like that it's s live application that keeps one updated when tagged

Nachteile:

I just don't like that it's a web application if it's a standalone app it would have been great

Matter Matters

Vorteile:

Matter makes it easy to recognise my peers and reward great work and spread positivity in the team.

Nachteile:

In Slack not the biggest fan of having to leave the modal in the Kudos channel we have (as a project manager quite often I have to give recognition to whole project teams and like to check I've referenced everybody who was involved)

MATTER AND ORANGE

Vorteile:

Since the company works with everyone remote, Matter has been a really important tool for us to get everyone closer, recognize their value and their good work every day or week. It also makes us socialize more than if we didnt have it.

Nachteile:

I think there is anything that I dont like, I even love the gifs they use to invite us to join kudos or so.

Nothing but good things to say

Vorteile:

A lot of companies don't do a good job of highlighting the accomplishments and hard work of its individuals. Matter makes doing so easy. The weekly recognition between peers and higher-ups is fast and fun, while giving people the validation they deserve.

Nachteile:

Nope, I truly have nothing negative to say about my experience.

This Matters

Kommentare: I utilize Matter weekly by sending encouragement and good jobs.

Vorteile:

The ability to show good teamwork or work in general to others in the company.

Nachteile:

Not enough coins to give out each week to those being recognized.

Great for team feedback

Vorteile:

Great to manifest publicly what the team or individuals accomplished. Usually, teams are not aware of what other teams do, so this is great.

Nachteile:

The web dashboard is not super intuitive and very few users use it.

Why it Matters

Kommentare: Overall it’s been very useful, and uplifting also when I get recognized.

It give you the opportunity to show love to co-workers.

Nachteile:

That I can’t generate matter coins on my own

Matter matters

Vorteile:

What I enjoy most about Matter is that it allows me to have weekly engagement with my co-workers and also allows me to give out "coins" or appreciation for their work. Coins can then be traded for real money so I think it always makes an impact when someone gives me some of their limited coin allowance.

Nachteile:

The only thing I think could be improved is some more fun pre-made kudos templates. Although I know we have the ability to make our own which is also great!

Kommentare: By far the most pleasant 360 feedback product ever created.

Vorteile:

Matter puts the individual in control of their 360 feedback.

Nachteile:

Would love live chat for questions, support, submitting feature requests. Would also love an enterprise plan.
