Vorteile:

The best thing I like about screaming frog is its ease of use and speed. It gives a lot of technical SEO issues with all the details and their solution as well. Many of those issues other tools cannot detect, like HSTS security issues and more. For me, it's a must-have tool for a technical SEO audit.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it does not reflect the changes even if the problem is solved on the website. Due to that, I had to re-run the tool multiple times. It happens frequently.

You can easily fetch data for the number of internal links that each of your web pages is receiving. The more the number of internal links the more SEO value a page gets. Based on this data, you can easily alter your web architecture to pass the maximum number of internal links to your key landing page. 3. You can check all the images which has missing alt tags 4. You can find duplicate content pages on your website 5. You can check pages with missing meta title and description 6. You can check pages with duplicate meta title and description

Nachteile:

1. The max crawl speed available is 20 URLs/s which can be increased 2. They should also provide hosting platforms to run the crawler or introduce a web-based solution

Kommentare: Although it surpasses its competitors in terms of the amount of information displayed, I don0t like having to start from scratch, or for it to crawl what it shouldn't - which puts you over the 500 url limit... even on a small site.

There are so many features - most of which are available in the free version

As far as I could see - there was no way to only crawl the links I provide. I could also not locate a way to save the progress to check on another day, meaning I have to start from scratch every time. This, however, wouldn't be an issue in the paid version as far as I can see

I needed to pull real-time crawls of extensive client sites. The free plan allows 500 URL's, which is a good start for small sites, but the Unlimited access from a paid plan is essential for any mid-size or enterprise sites. Easy data export into CSV for documentation or graphical manipulation. Super simple interface and navigation that isn't bloated with design complexity.

Nachteile:

Some data fields could have include a better description of what they are pulling for values. A simple question-mark adjacent to the field would help, rather than having to hunt down documentation on their site. The user-interface hasn't been updated in ... well, ever. That could be improved, though I like the simple aesthetic, which I'm sure helps the application run quickly.

Too many features gets the software a little complicated to start with. The learning curve is the only thing I would say is the dislike of the Screaming frog and its outdated UI.

My favorite feature of Screaming Frog is that you can analyze a competitor site to view there internal linking structure and possibly find ways to beat them in rankings. This tool also has a powerful feature that lets you find broken links on your own website. This includes both internal and external links from pages that may no longer exist or where moved.

Nachteile:

Scream Frog lacks the visuals of other modern software which can make it a bit challenging to view. It looks and behaves like a backend database which is fine for most who use it. But unless you are a pro user, you may have to massage the data a bit to find what you need.

This tool has defined the SEO crawler space for me and many SEOs that I have worked with. Even so-called enterprise crawlers have a lot to learn from the number of and quality of reports. Whenever I look at other crawlers that can handle huge websites, I compare their reporting to Screaming Frog SEO spider.

Nachteile:

What I like least is that it does use my local computer's resources and slows my other work. I am willing to deal with this on smaller and moderate projects that can be crawled in a day.

I can get it to tell me anything. I don't use it for everything (I still have other SEO tools), but when I want to have an understanding of something, I rely on Screaming Frog more than anything else.

It's a powerful spreadsheet, so you can't just press a button that says 'do this thing'. But once you get used to it, there's nothing you can't do.

Kommentare: I've been using Screaming Frog SEO Spider for years now, even before my current position. It has usually been my first step in any SEO audit, because it provides me with a full overview of what's going on.

Speed. Screaming frog has always been very fast at crawling, and the general oversight it gives me is just what I need. When I say general, this doesn't mean that the data isn't in-depth! Large availability even from the free version. I have very rarely felt limited.

Nachteile:

The UI is dated, but this is not an issue since the functionality is on-point. I also wish that I didn't have to crawl the entire site each time.

Nachteile:

I really cannot say here anything negative, even if you reach out to them when you have a question they are super helpful. Maybe that it will take some time if you are new to the tool, to explore all the features they offer.

Vorteile:

I love the many features that Screaming Frog offers but I especially like the Tree Graphs under Visualisations where I can quickly show my supervisor a snapshot of all interlinked webpages.

Nachteile:

I can connect accounts such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, PageSpeed insights and Google Search Console but when I close the app, then reopen it, I have a reconnect those accounts. Not a big deal and it's easy to reconnect but would love to see those accounts stay connected.

The one thing which i like the most is that it is very easy to use, and also the tool audit your website in real time. if you change something today in your website and then audit again in the tool then i can catch that change whatever you did in your website.

Nachteile:

The updated are very frequently in tool and there should be at least keyword tracking feature which can make it undefeated in the seo market.

Incredible Results to Make You Scream

Kommentare: Working in SEO, being able to crawl a client's site at a moment's notice and get results back FAST is always incredibly valuable. Screaming Frog does that - and more! Getting information about broken links, duplicate content, missing title tags, missing or excessive H1 tags, etc. is critical to my position and Screaming Frog does that with aplomb. I love using Screaming Frog and will continue to use it in the future.

I like the ability to customize your crawl depending on your clients' specific needs. For small sites, nothing beats the speed and depth that Screaming Frog website crawls provide. Also, the image and video crawling abilities are unparalleled

The only issue I have with Screaming Frog is that it can be a little difficult to set up and analyze your first time using it. There's probably a beginner's guide or instruction but I neglected to look for it.
