Kommentare: MYOB has changed the way we work, simplifies book keeping to take away so much pain

Vorteile:

- Easy to signup and simple setup to get things started - Pricing - Special offer for new start ups - Invoice reminders - Invoice templates look very professional - Invoice shows when customer / vendor have viewed (SUPER HELPFUL) - Intray for emailing receipts and tracking

Nachteile:

- Not being able to invoice in multiple currencies, have to workarond this by invoicing in the charable foreign currency then after payment is recieved adjusting the template to the local amount that is received.

MYOB Business - Great Software for medium sized businesses

Vorteile:

The financial reporting abilities of MYOB Business are very good and very well developed. They present accurate and real time reports that allow for a large volume of information to be automatically reported from a business management point of view. The ability to add specific permission levels to individual users is also highly valuable as the there may be some layers f information that the company does not want the individual to have access to which is something MYOB has done really well.

Nachteile:

MYOB is more costly than a number of other accounting software packages on the market, although it is more powerful and has more functions. From a personal point of view the user interfaces feel outdated. Although they are very powerful and have a lot of functionality it presents as though it is a 20 year old version of windows.

Daily Bookkeeping

Kommentare: On the website version I am completely frustrated. Why is it that I can not open in the app version when the file has been shared with me via the website version??

Nachteile:

Lack of functionality on website, can't use the find transaction feature.

Kommentare: My overall experience with MYOB Business has been mostly positive. It’s a reliable tool for handling all our core accounting functions, including reconciling accounts, managing payroll, sending invoices, and tracking transactions. The platform offers a good level of detail, and once set up, it’s easy to navigate day-to-day tasks. However, syncing MYOB with other software, like Total Synergy, can sometimes be a bit challenging, which interrupts the otherwise smooth workflow. Despite these occasional hiccups, it’s an efficient solution for managing our finances.

Vorteile:

What I like most about MYOB is its efficiency in handling all my accounting needs. I use it for bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, sending invoices, managing payroll, paying bills, and tracking transactions. It keeps everything organized in one place, making monthly financial reviews straightforward and helping me stay on top of our accounting tasks with ease.

Nachteile:

What I like least about MYOB is that syncing with other software can sometimes be unreliable. For example, integrating MYOB with Total Synergy has caused issues at times, which interrupts my workflow and requires extra troubleshooting.

An Accounting Solution that Is Accurate to Use

Vorteile:

MYOB Business is a sensational and accurate accounting solution. I love the simplicity of MYOB Business.

Nachteile:

I do not dislike MYOB Business at all. MYOB Business is so brilliant.

Probably OK If you Are a Trained Accountant or Bookkeeper

Kommentare: We wasted a lot of time and resources using this software for our small business accounting needs. Whilst it did the job in the end we believe there are simpler options such as XERO for us non- accountants.

Vorteile:

As a small business owner not trained in the art of accounting there wasn't a lot we found easy about using MYOB Essentials. The reporting process at the end is probably our highlight.

Nachteile:

We found MYOB Essentials cumbersome to set up and use. The support team was basically of little help. Sending files to our Accountant at the end of the tax year was a pain. MYOB Essentials is better suited to those with a deeper knowledge of accounting than what we have in our business. That is why we switched to XERO which we find much easier and more efficient to use.

It's a great, easy to use product that would suit any type of business.

Nachteile:

It's limited by that it doesn't allow multiple businesses for consolidated accounting, so it'll always lose to bigger systems.

Fully Functional Software

Kommentare: Very happy with the software and introduction of new features.

Vorteile:

It’s been around for over 20 years. Fully functional and developed software. Easy to use.

Nachteile:

Multi currency can be improved but it’s not used often.

Well worth the time to check it out

Kommentare: not good too complicated for a beginner like myself

I used Myob for the first 6 months of my own business was way too complicated for me.

Nachteile:

Very complicated if you are not up to date with all the terminology of accounting if not for that I would have continued to use MYOB.

MYOB essentials before it was put on the accountright platform was excellent.

Kommentare: Mostly problems compared to the old software.

Vorteile:

Payroll is ok it has some nice features on pay items but nothing the old essentials could do easily.

Nachteile:

The list is far too long. The old essentials is excellent. All that needed to be done is have the option of reports it had be converted to excel rather than PDF. The decision to go to accountright will be fatal.

MYOB review

Kommentare: It is used as a standalone reporting software for financial statements.

Vorteile:

Provides an additional option for small businesses and sole traders with limited budget resources to consider.

Nachteile:

I find MYOB AO functions very rigid and not user friendly. For example, import function from other accounting softwares are not available.Unable to generate reports.Unable to download reports to excel.

Get your act together

Kommentare: works well when it does, is terrible when it doesn't with zero customer support!

Vorteile:

Easy to use. If you have a computer, you can access everything

Nachteile:

Glitch with reconciliation. You have to go back to the dashboard if you want to reconcile a different account (each time) have been trying to setup bank feeds for credit card for years. Have been unable to update credit card details or pay the bill for the product for 2 months. Very annoying to log into, nearly every time you have to log in two or three times before you actually log in. If you like waiting on the phone to talk to someone, only for the call to time out after 40mins or get put through to some white noise, again and again this is the company for you.

The Updated Version is Catastrophic for a very small business

Kommentare: you wait for hours to receive help then get cut off as the wait time is so long

Vorteile:

Not much, the old version worked perfectly, we were given an ultimatum

Nachteile:

Undeposited funds should not be automatic, you cannot delete

Great Product

Kommentare: I would recommend it to someone say a professional bookkeeper, I found Quickbooks to be more user friendly for easy bookkeeping soultuons also finding Quickbooks a lot cheaper than MYOB.

Vorteile:

Very detailed, Easy to add transactions.

Nachteile:

I found the software was not very “user friendly” especially as someone who isn’t the greatest at Bookeeping, the terms (words) and navigation was very hard sometimes. I ended up switching to Quickbooks.

MYOB keeps us on track and informed

Ese of use, accessibility, features are simple, seamless integration, reporting functions, governance

Nachteile:

None, it is clear and easy to use daily.

Kommentare: We have been stuck on it - and are currently planning our migration away from it.

Vorteile:

Commonly used across small business which makes it easier to find bookkeepers who have experience in it

Nachteile:

Needs to have a major overview from a features, functionality and user experience perspective. Nearly no new features in 15 years. An upgrade in technology, but delivering using out-dated tech stacks and restrictive implementation. Not a wonder people are moving in droves to other products.

MYOB for Tradies

Kommentare: I had little to do with the software save reading my payslips and annual payment summary. These werre accurate and easy to read.

Vorteile:

I received my payslips from the office and they were done on MYOB. They were easy to read and showed everything necessary

Nachteile:

There was no app for my to use at the time to record timesheet activities. I had to make a google spreadsheet and email it. If I had an app then my pays would be uploaded and so less mistakes would have occurred.

Vorteile:

I like that it has been around for many many years, and the functionality has NEVER changed or been improved

Nachteile:

The lack of development and modernisation of the product

Easy to use

Kommentare: Being in the cloud makes access to this program easy. It is user friendly and easy to navigate. The cost did increase quite a bit over the 6 years I was using it but it is pretty relative to other accounting software available.

Vorteile:

This program is in the cloud so it can be accessed from anywhere that has internet.

Nachteile:

You couldn't do a recurring transaction.
