Has a ways to go for specific industries (curtain wall), pretty great otherwise
Revit ist bislang das Beste Programm was ich kenne, allerdings nichts für Anfänger,
Kommentare: qualitativ gutes CAD Programm
Vorteile:
Das 3D alle Ansichten, Schnitte etc . mitgezeichnet werden und man später in diesen nicht viel nachkorrigieren muss!
Nachteile:
Man muss immernoch nachkorriegieren in den parallel gezeichneten Plänen, sollte eig. automatisch richtig sein. Ist ja KI.
Gute Software für 3D Modellierung
Vorteile:
Wir nutzen die Software für 3D Modellierungen und BIM Projekte. Mein Team nutzt die Software häufig und ist mit der Bedienung sehr zufrieden. Die 3D Visualisierungen ermöglichen gute und verständliche Präsentationen bei Bauherren oder anderen Projektbeteiligten.
Nachteile:
Bisher sind uns keine Nachteile aufgefallen.
Efficient and reliable software as an Architect.
Kommentare: A solid contender to other Architecture software. Well built up software!
Vorteile:
Its features and solid layout. It shows that a lot of attention has been given to the development of the software.
Nachteile:
It could be improved upon in the early sketch phase. Its complexity and feature sets also makes it less unobtrusive of the early design stages.
Revit is worth the time to learn to use
Kommentare: I am a decades long AutoCad user, switched to Revit in the last few years. The switch over was fairly simple. Working with models already created to manipulate them is quite intuitive, creating stairs, roofs and schedules is challenging.
Vorteile:
The ease at which a building design can be changed, multiple ideas and concepts can be explored.
Nachteile:
There are some simple tasks in AutoCad that are made much more difficult in Revit. The ability to create tables by just adding the data yourself is very difficult. Schedules in general are tricky to set up
Best software for architectural design and modeling
Kommentare: Before move on to this software, I had to use several software's cocomplete a design. Now I only need revit

My favorite and most using software for architectural designs. This facilitate to model the floor plans, elevations, 3d views and also renderings in a same time

Complicate algorithm lead to lot of problems
Kommentare: I have few experience with Architectural model since I am a mechanical engineer. moderate experience in MEP drawing, but enough experience in families which I hate in Revit.Also I have 6 months in programming with Revit using C#, and I found the object oriented classes and objects are interfered to infinity (as I guess) where it can be in easy way, this core issues lead to the complication in Revit especially as I think, in families the procedures start to solve the parameters in a way lead to unsatisfied solution where it run properly.
Vorteile:
Working without families, has few problems in piping connection especially (as mechanical). I think as from Architectural side few problems we have (such fix the model automatically for epsilon of errors), I create an add-ins using C# to fix this and find errors of an Architectural model or mechanical spaces.
Nachteile:
The illogical behavior of some functions in families and contradictions, even in 3D presentation with thin metal sheets.
Big fan of Revit
Kommentare: I work for a technology design consultant, which is usually the last one in construction sharing space with other disciplines - Revit make that so much easier thna in the past.
Vorteile:
Massive improvement over CAD. 3/D Clash detection feature.
Nachteile:
Some confusion in learning availability of family choices

Best tool for parametric modelling
Kommentare: Very comprehensive and easy to use software that has made creating models and streamlining design easy and fast.
Vorteile:
Revit is the best and easiest tool to create parametric bim models when compared to the others. It has the shortest learning curve and the most tools available
Nachteile:
It struggles when importing geometry from non revit formats even if it is coming from the same ecosystem (autocad). It also needs to improve the topography
Central information of architecture
Kommentare: I mainly use it to extract 3D architectural models for architectural visualization in other rendering programs, it allows different workflows since it has many extensions to export.
Vorteile:
I am dedicated to the field of architectural visualization and revit is a useful tool when creating joint work processes with other people, you can obtain countless information. From 3D modeling to construction pricing.
Nachteile:
Probably its price, Latin America is not yet a market prepared to pay large sums of money, but I understand that it is a program with a lot of technology and extremely useful, I truly believe that it is worth what it costs.

I like how you can easily create a BIM model.
Nachteile:
It’s missing a few features like for kitchen design
Quality software but expensive for a small practice
Kommentare: Good. Love the software but takes some learning.
Vorteile:
3D and 2D capabilities. Time saving later in process.
Nachteile:
Cost. For a small practice it’s expensive, especially for multiple annual licenses as opposed to licenses in perpetuity.
Revit works well for designing buildings
Kommentare: I liked it overall for designing buildings. With a bit more time, I think I would have become more comfortable with how to use it.
Vorteile:
It worked well for designing a house in my class.

It seemed like they could make it a bit more user friendly.
Utilizing Revit
Kommentare: It's a love/ hate relationship. It's a good tool but needs a lot of further development to connect with other tools. It's good for production if set up properly.
Vorteile:
Revit is a system, and if set up properly, will meet a lot of needs. But a lot of additional plug ins and tools necessary.
Nachteile:
Having used the program many years I know the quirks. There are a lot of them... Many simple things you'd think would be simple are not in that the way the program was built. Slow timeline for improvements.
architect employe review
Kommentare: I believe that Revit is so far the best program out there. Everyone can use it even without going to courses or classes. It's at everyone's reach either they are designer's or not. It suits beginners and experts.
Vorteile:
Revit is one of the easiest yet practical programs out there for architects and interior designers. Its very easy and we can say forward and straight to the point. having to draw either 2d's,3d's, details drawings, etc. is very doable even if you don't have a great experience with it. It helps you from the first year of collage until even working on you first job.
Nachteile:
What i least like about Revit is the outcome of the final renders are not always with high quality even when you change the settings to the best, yet sometimes it turns out not as good as you need. The lighting and it's settings are as well a but complicated either the sun light settings or even the illumination of any lighting fixture you add.

Revit is the way to go

Super easy to use. There are tons of BIMS out of there and are wonderful asset. The 3rd part 3D modeling software take your revit floor flan to the next level.
Nachteile:
The newest update with its templates are cool but lead to some really weird and stupid issues.
Revit for civil engineers
Vorteile:
As I think, this is the most popular BIM software in the worlds. As a civil engineer mainly worked with architectural designs, 3d modeling, scheduling etc. But other than that this software allows to do structural analysis, energy modeling, scheduling and costing etc. Anyway very useful and user friendly software for the people working in engineering practices.
Nachteile:
Software is overall good. But it requires somewhat higher processing power for 3d renderings.
Great Bim Software

MEP features are outstanding, Management and analysis features are excellent. Added extensions

Might take quite a while to master, but once you grasp the relevant tools work proceeds smoothly

Intelligent BIM
Vorteile:
I love the energy analysis modeling, it is very useful for my line of work (master student in sustainable design). Also love how easy it is to model high quality housing from plans in a very quick manner
Nachteile:
Honestly, the new interface and project list left side ribbon. It has alot more subgroups and items which is very distracting and confusing for quick access

Steep Learning Curve

Extremely powerful CAD software that could potentially put draughtspeople out of work.

There is a steep, and i mean extremely steep, learning curve if you want to do anything other than model 3D elements. Imagine like setting up your AutoCAD standards years ago, but x10.
An essential program for architecture
