Nachteile:

Dashboard icons is confusing so you end up clicking every button till you get to the right screen. Information presented is intuitive but not the navigation.

Reliable Contract Management Product

Vorteile:

What's good with the tool is that it offers you a change to manage all your contracts. You are able to know whe the contracts are ending and when to renew to contracts. I have found a tool to be effective and effective particularly when dealing with multiple contracts of different level. It's easy to use and flexible to fit the business needs.

Nachteile:

No feature that I would wish to be improved in any way. It offers the best experience.

Kommentare: Through CIQ, we are able to effectively manage individual sales rep commission inquiries as well as identify and resolve issues that affect a compensation plan as a whole. CIQ also allows for us to self-create our report models in order to provide the best versions of reporting for monthly accounting close and possible.

Vorteile:

CIQ offers such a diverse amount of functionalities, all of which have their own beneficial aspect that contribute to our company daily. The ability for our sales reps to login and view their payout statements in a user-friendly manner as well as provide us a snapshot of what occurred in order to determine errors (if applicable) is amazing. It also allows the users/admins to dive into the back-end weeds of the system to ensure it's data connectors are working appropriately - for which CIQ is great as it can easily connect with essential systems such as Salesforce, DocuSign, and NetSuite. Integration of this system is perfect as you're able to dictate how you want to design the production instance, no matter how complex or simple you may prefer.

Nachteile:

Some areas for improvement would be providing a few high-level data points that can be easily accessible for relaying monthly/quarterly/annual information to higher-ups. Items such as total commissions paid for the period in USD - you can certainly retrieve this information; however, it's not readily available as one may think. Another area is determining what fields/workbooks have impacts on other areas of the system. Luckily the sandbox instance allows for practice prior to implementation, but when trying to diagnose a fix in a query - you are not exactly sure what the impact of changing a column header or deleting a column may have on your reporting.

Sales commissions transparency at it's finest

Vorteile:

I love how simple and easy it is to navigate the UI as you're looking to find answers about your payouts. I previously used Xactly at my former companies and CaptivateIQ is WAY better. I was always suspicious about my payouts in the past, but since we've started using CaptivateIQ, I'm able to clearly find what I'm looking for and feel confident that my commission is correct.

Nachteile:

There's not a whole lot that I dislike about the platform. The only feedback I provided was that I wish there was a way to read about your payout in more "plain text", rather than having to dig through different tables of data.

Easy to see and use Commission Calc

Vorteile:

Love that everything is in one place and I don't have to rely on using any type of excel doc to see my commissions and run scenarios. This allows them to get updated and I know, no one else can change values in those excel docs.

Nachteile:

The only thing I wish it had was line item commission values for each deal I've brought in.

I like the professional layout of CaptivateIQ. I also like being able to see certain key pieces of commission information at a glance when I initially open the statements.

Great workflow and great onboarding

Kommentare: Commission processing time is down significantly, what used to take hours is now being done in one or less. Statements are quick to deploy and easy to understand. There is a lot more confidence in the plans as they are being administered systemically and not through multiple spreadsheets.

Vorteile:

• Tool is powerful but simple to use. • It's possible to create some pretty complex rules within the engine, but where it really shines is in simplifying the data to payment process. • The onboarding process was phenomenal. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] really went above and beyond to make sure that all of my questions were answered and to make me a power user of the platform. • The formulas used for calculation are simple and familiar as they mimic Excel, and the syntax is easy to pick up as it also mimics Excel. Where it picks up its power is by allowing SQL database functions like joins, unions, table filters, grouping, etc.

Nachteile:

• I spent some time wishing there was a better way to store "environment variables" during setup, rather than storing them as rows in a table. • I wish that there were automated emails that went out to an employee when the payment was "locked" (when the payment amount is approved by the administrator.) • I wish that there was more user hierarchy. For example, I can easily create "managers" who can view the payments queued up for their "employees" but the plan administrator is still the one to queue those up. It would be nice to give the manager final say in when the employee can see their plan and payment. • The dataloader tool requires a bit of data cleansing prior to popping it in, slight nuisance.

The perfect commission calculator - A salesperson's best friend

Kommentare: This is a boon compared to manual calculations, and it saves so much time for our commissions dept. I can't imagine a life where I go back to doing it by hand. Fast, lightweight, and customizable, it's perfect!

Vorteile:

Can effectively confirm, calculate, or predict commissions as well as track old pay periods. Very useful for planning my current and coming months' payouts for my family.

Nachteile:

At the end of the year, it cannot predict the next month, and occasionally cannot extrapolate enough data for perfect future commissions.

Great Commission Management Tool

Vorteile:

It's amazingly easy to check my payouts, and to check what's composing them. Approving the commissions is also effortless

Good with potential to become even better

Kommentare: The software is ideal for avoiding errors caused when you only work with spreadsheets. But, it has space for improvements, especially when it starts to give the users a hands-on experience to create connections with other tools, like google sheets, Big Query, etc. Also when it starts to adopt a low-code philosophy.

Vorteile:

The plans are not so challenging to implement if you have a financial background, the formulas are pretty similar to the Excel ones, but it's a bit time-consuming, so you better save a prominent slot in your calendar to complete the implementation. Also, I like how customizable the software is, if you enhance your knowledge of the platform you gonna be able to do a lot.

Nachteile:

The lack of possibilities when it comes to automation and integration with other tools, unfortunately, CIQ is not available for integrations via Zapier, Workato, Make, etc. So if you need to streamline your process to gain efficiency, you will need to have an IT background because only their API is available.

Processing commissions in <1 min / month even with our new complex plans

Kommentare: It’s been the great..of course the product, but I really enjoyed working with the support staff as well. Not only great guys and A+ service, but they have both been in finance roles where they ran commissions at companies so they’re great resources.

The product truly automates what used to be one of the most annoying manual tasks for us The sales, implementation guys, and support team are all fantastic My reps finally have visibility to their commissions without having to ask me or my admin Data syncs directly from my CRM I was able to change my reps’ plans to have a better (but more complex) plan because I didn’t have to worry about how we’d calculate it each month

The ui needed some improvement but one of the recent updates was a huge boost..it looks very slick now

Takes the pain away from a painful process

Kommentare: I think the system is great. We have harder than normal commission plans in my opinion and CaptivateIQ delivered. I would definitely recommend it to others looking to make commissions less painful to manage.

Vorteile:

We were previously managing commissions in Excel and it was starting to take up more time to manage given our growing team. We looked at CaptivateIQ and we were skeptical they could handle our commission plans but they pulled it off. Their system is very flexible and was able to handle things like ramp, draw, and more for us. I also like their rep reporting section. Unlike other solutions, which were forcing us into their set templates, CaptivateIQ’s was very customizable and we were able to tailor each plan.

Nachteile:

Their documentation is lacking within the product but they have a great services team that was able to help get me trained so not a big deal.

Single Source of Truth

Kommentare: The problem that CaptivateIQ solves for my sales team is taking away any grey area. CaptivateIQ provides transparency for our team and allows direct reports to have ownership over their commission. There have been times were discrepancies have come up between what I thought my attainment was vs. what I was actually paid on and without CaptivateIQ I would never have known this.

Vorteile:

I like that CaptivateIQ provides a single source of truth for my sales team. In the sales world, commission is everything and CaptivateIQ is a platform that allows management and direct reports to be on the same page. If there's ever a question about what I'm being paid I know I can turn to CaptivateIQ for the information I need. In many ways, CaptivateIQ acts as a leger for my payouts and it can be referred back to whenever I need it. It is extremely effective because I can see how my performance as reported in salesforce matches against what I was actually paid.

Nachteile:

I don't particularly dislike any aspect of CaptivateIQ but I wish there were additional notifications. I think that it would be helpful if CaptivateIQ was synced with my companies HR/salary platform (ADP) so I could access these statements in one place. If not, then I'd like to be notified when updates in CaptivateIQ are made so I can stay on top of it.

The speed and reliability of the system are big plusses. It is easy to use and can cope with the nuances of our different commission plans. C-IQ have an excellent support and customer service team.

Nachteile:

The product is continually improving and adding new features. C-IQ listen to customer feedback in this respect.

Kommentare: Positive experience, CSR has been an amazing team getting us up and running and through the implementation process smoothly. They ask all the right questions and take the time to really understand your plans and help ensure the backend handles all the plan possibilities.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, update and get users accessing on their own. Customer Support responsiveness to use recommendations and general assistance for questions or best practice advice.

Nachteile:

Initially there were some multi step in setup that could be linked to save steps and when i made the recommendation, within a few weeks the fix was in.

Captivate IQ - Sales Incentive Administration

Kommentare: As an administrator I use captivate on a daily basis. It’s an improvement over our previous product in that I can instantly calculate commissions after updates are made. It is much more intuitive to use when creating plans and the statements are much more transparent to the sales organization.

Vorteile:

Ease of implementation and plan creation.

Nachteile:

Captivate could be improved by allowing multiple transformations within one calculation worksheet.

I wish there was the ability to lock down a period and have a "super admin" and regular "admin" so my team would have to go through me in order to change a prior period once locked.

A Brilliant Solution for Your Compensation Planning

Vorteile:

Building and customizing commission plans in CaptivateIQ is quite intuitive and less labor intensive. Third party integrations with our HR, payroll and sales platforms was seamless which help us cut down our manual data processing errors from the past.

Nachteile:

Document management with our legacy platform DocuSign caused a lot of issues when we were not able to dispatch bulk incentive sheets to our users last month.

User friendly commission solution

Kommentare: Previously, we were operating commissions in Excel spreadsheets. It was a very manual process that took a lot of time to put together and manually check. It also opened us to potential problems common with spreadsheets (copy pasting formulas and numbers, etc.). We’ve since been operating out of CaptivateIQ, which is a great platform. It beats manually calculating commissions in spreadsheets and makes the whole process very quick, simple, and easy.

Vorteile:

CaptivateIQ rearchitected a new platform and so far it’s great. It’s very easy to digest and works much better than ever before. With this new design, it’s fully functional and self-service - I’m able to go and create new commission plans on my own. It has a workbook style to it making the UI/UX very familiar and intuitive.

Nachteile:

The statement designer has been great so far in that it’s very customizable but I would like to see improvements around formatting and adding graphics/colors. Also, I’d like to see more from general reporting for analysis. The team mentioned this is something they’re working on and will be out shortly so excited to hear what will come out for this.

Easy to use for your everyday rep!

Vorteile:

As an AE, it can often be hard to track your monthly and quarterly targets. CapitaveIQ made it easy for me to track quota attainment & commissions.

Nachteile:

It would be helpful to have more expanded views with the data and equations that go into the numbers. This could potentially lead to customized reposts for AEs

CaptivateIQ - Great for International contractors

Kommentare: The biggest benefits have been transparency and understanding of where I'm earning commissions. It's also easier for finance to update and approve, so it's helping me get paid 15 to 20 days earlier than in the past. It's made my life as a contractor much easier.

Vorteile:

The product is super easy to use and has provided transparency for commissions and payouts in what used to be a really complicated compensation program. I don't feel like I need to track my sales separately, captivateiq makes it really easy to see what closed, in what tier of payouts and what my accelerators look like, broken down in a granular way. It's made life a lot easiers.

Nachteile:

I think there are some drop down menus that are hard to navigate, there may be some small U/X features I would change to make things easier to find. Rollups and breakdowns of payouts can seem hidden

Kommentare: This is super easy to use and gives you all the information you need for commission and bonus tracking. It sends emails to let you know where you are for the week or month. All the data is right in front of you on your screen and it’s awesome.

Vorteile:

I love the fact that this is real time Data that is updated regularly. You can see everything you need for your commissions and bonuses burn to date. It saves back-and-forth emails with management and payroll. It’s very nice to have in your pocket.

Nachteile:

There is not much else that I can find negatively about this. A streamlined mobile app could be the icing on the cake.
