Easy to use and saves us money

Vorteile:

Easy to import our Excel mailing lists into the program. Sorts and corrects addresses quickly and easily. Does the forms automatically!

Nachteile:

We are very familiar with using it, probably a users manual for new users would be welcome.

You can't afford to be without Postage $aver

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Great support from [sensitive content hidden]. Up to date within microseconds of changes from the USPS, Postage $aver is ready go .

Nachteile:

I desperately want to save jobs to specific job files so we can pick them up and re-run the jobs. Also would be nice to have PS add the needed feeds without having to so the manually.

Distribution Mail Outs

Kommentare: It's okay not great but okay.

Vorteile:

That you can print out the tags even though I still have to mark them as non presort

Nachteile:

I still have to fill out the forms to use for non presorted - parcels for Bound Printed Matter. The program doesn't recognize mailing out phone books. When I have called in the past the person I spoke with acted like I was an idiot and did not want to help.

Small Bulkmailer - Long Time User

Kommentare: Excellent! No major issues. Questions to [sensitive content hidden] always promptly answered.

Vorteile:

Postage saver does all of the heavy lifting with sorting, reporting and bar coding. Could never do bulk mailing without it. PLUS - we save the annual fee because we submit our mailings as Full Service.

Nachteile:

Doesn't do Carrier Route Presort for Marketing Mail Flats

Best tool for small mailing houses...

Kommentare: I have tried four (4) other software and online services. PostageSaver is the easiest to use. Also, I found it has three to five times more features than other software and services out there.
Obviously, it does not handle data cleansing; and I am glad, since we use other tools for that.

Vorteile:

It's unbelievably easy to use. It guides you step-by-step through this complicated and nightmarish process that the USPS has created for mailing houses.

Nachteile:

I can't find a single bad thing to say. However, if we want to be picky, the font size look a little small on my 32 inch monitor. It seems that they need to upgrade the font to be more responsive to the screen size being used. My resolution is 3840x2160

A few years in

Kommentare: Customer Service! They have it, and a great product that just works.

Vorteile:

I like that it's so easy to run. If you follow the prompts It just works. But the best part of Postage Saver is the customer service!!! I had a few questions and problems way back when we started. The problems where related to my lack of understanding of the postal system. Not the software. I emailed to ask questions and got an email within minutes. They had all my questions taken care of that day. And even asked me about a few things I didn't know I needed to do and helped me take care of that too.

Nachteile:

Honestly for our small non profit I don't have any complaints. The software just works. I don't have to worry about it not being updated or not working. This is huge in my book.

Vorteile:

first I must say that I have never had a better service and product. this is by far the best program out there.

Nachteile:

none. I have used this program from many years, never had one issue

Fantastic Product for Any Bulk Mailer!

Vorteile:

Low cost, easy to use and keeps up with all updates from the USPS.

Nachteile:

We have had no issues with Postage Saver since we started using them in 2011!

Inexpensive, featureful, and well supported.

Vorteile:

The frequency of the updates, the features match our needs, and the (very little) support requests needed have had immediate turnarounds.

Nachteile:

The "single flow through the wizard" model is a bit weird for our use case. We use the software to generate our bulk-mail sorted lists of address, THEN we print them, stuff them, etc. So we have to go through twice; once before we print and stuff to get the sorted lists, then once again afterwards once we have the weights and known dates of mailing, which we don't necessarily know ahead of time.My OCD makes me very, very nervous that the 2 runs will sort them differently somehow. To date there's been no problem so I'm less anxious about it now, but I wish we could do a "sort only" run, then add the dates/weights to it and print the reports USING that original sort.

Bottom Line

Vorteile:

easy to use, inexpensive, some elements not automatic

Nachteile:

can't print endorsement line, which is probably user error

Nachteile:

It's pretty good all around. No complaints. The software interface/graphics/art could use some updating, but that doesn't detract from it's functionality at all. It looks like it's software from the 90s or something, but that doesn't really matter because what matters is that it works. It gets the job done and it gets it done well! [sensitive content hidden] probably doesn't bother spending time updating the way the software 'looks' because he's too focused on providing great customer service.

Great product for a small publisher

Vorteile:

I rely on this product for bulk mailing my quarterly publication. Years ago I had a more expensive software and was in a panic when they stopped producing it for the Mac (the only computer I have ever used). This product is easy to learn and use. The postmaster always praises me for doing such a good job with my mailing reports.

Nachteile:

A few years ago I bought a small Mac with the latest operating system especially for internet use and Postage $aver. I had always dreaded updating to the latest system for fear something would go wrong. But a few months ago Postage $aver stopped updating their software for that older system. So I had to install the latest Mac OS. But my fears were eased when it went without a hitch and I was able to use the updated Postage $aver version.

Postage Saver Makes Bulk Mailing Easy

Vorteile:

We like the fact that Postage Saver links with our MuniLink billing software, and sorts everything. It's great that it calculates the postage. Tech support has been very good when we have needed it.

Nachteile:

There is one thing which could use tweaking, and I'm not sure if this is the billing software or Postage Saver. But, when the postal codes which tell you what bin to use and which bills go with them are printed out - the hand sorts are at the beginning. This would be fine, but the numbering is off - ie. Handsorts can be numbered 1-19, but this throws off the subsequent numbering. The user has to add 19 to every number in the list - not fun.

Works for us!

Kommentare: We've using PS for years and are very happy with it. It automated (to some degree) a manually system for us, saving lots of time and minimizing errors.

Vorteile:

It's easy to use. The prompts are pretty straight-forward and processing time is quick. Integrates easily with Excel.

Nachteile:

I do a mail merge from Excel to Word to print labels. It would be great if there was some sort of indicator where the each new tray starts, or if it can automatically insert blank rows in the Excel sheet for each new tray. Right now I have to go into Excel and insert blank rows manually to separate the label set for each tray.

Fantastic Product for the money

Kommentare: It's been such a HUGE help for our receipting process and many bulk mailings ... has saved us Thousands of dollars. I love it.

Vorteile:

Saved us many thousands of dollars in postage costs .... very well created, well maintained.

Nachteile:

Could use improvements in the SDK for software developers who integrate this with .net programs. It's a little challenging to automate using vb.net. If that were fixed, this woudl be bullet proof.

Great money saving software. Easy to use.

Kommentare: We have saved a great deal of money using postage saver. It has paid for itself many times over. Also, the developer is quick to respond if there are any issues, although I only had one problem in the years since I've been using it (about 5 years).

Vorteile:

With Postage Saver I am able to add barcodes to my bulk mailing list which allows us to save a lot of money on postage and our pieces seem to be delivered quicker. Mailing services charge a lot of money to do this so by using Postage saver we save money and can mail out more pieces. New updates have added the AADC barcode which was missing before. It is continuously updated as well.

Nachteile:

The user interface works fine, but it is not the most attractive software I have used. It is well organized though and easy to use.

Postage Saver experience

Kommentare: I find it great. It facilitated me to get into Direct Mail with a tool that works, also it is a PAVE certified product by the USPS.

Vorteile:

I can do the processing on my end without worrying about mistakes. I can process PAVE, fill out the USPS forms needed, and print the tag labels for the presorted trays. The price is affordable. I learned with this software how to process all Direct Mails (Marketing, Non-Profit, First Class, not EDDM), which was very confusing at the USPS Business Entry Unit or USPS website, too bureaucratic, not too helpful at the USPS when it comes to training. At the end I processed all kinds of mail with your software, barcoded or not.

Nachteile:

There are cases that I processed our customers' mail with our own USPS permit(s), or when I process the mail with the customer's permit. So there is a Permit Holder, a Mailing Agent, and a Mail Owner in the forms. The software doesn't guide you through that, I have to input the information manually half the way.

Years of experience with postage Rate Saver

Kommentare: From initial install to now, its just what I need for my bulk mail. I used to use another company about 15 years ago and I had some problems and that is how I found this. Been here ever since.

Vorteile:

I like how easy it is and how fast I get responses to questions. [sensitive content hidden] has been great thru-out. Its just what I need for Bulk Mail processing. Not more and Not less. Well it my have some stuff in there I do not need since I typically just send out Post Cards.

Nachteile:

Not much not to like. hard to come up with a negative.

It's heaven-sent

Kommentare: I've used PS for years and years, and it's the best software value i know. Plus, the developer is readily available if there's trouble (very rare).

Vorteile:

It interfaces well with our database program (Filemaker Pro) and reduces manual paperwork by a factor of a million. We used to prepare postal forms by hand and prep the mail the same way. This makes it all a snap.

Nachteile:

Early on we'd lose default settings each time the software was upgraded..which is often to match new postal lists, but that was solved many moons ago. I know of no issues these days.

Everything you need at a fraction of the cost

Vorteile:

Postage Saver offers everything that competitors offer, but at a fraction of the cost and its even easier to use. Customer service is amazing as well.

Nachteile:

User interface design could be more modern

Kommentare: Have used Postage Saver for over 10 years, reliable, priced right and makes the Bulk Mail process easy.

Vorteile:

Extremely easy to use, constantly updated to stay ahead of USPS postage rates and increases. Interface has an easy Step by Step walk through that guides the user through each mailing. All forms needed for mailing are conveniently printed out for the mailing.

Nachteile:

No cons on Postage Save at all, Perfect!

Gets the job done.

It's a little strange having the addresses checked, but no worse than any other company; maybe some kind of integration with a CASS/NCOA provider, but really, it's not a big deal.

Great Bulk Mailing Software for a Reasonable Price

Kommentare: I have been in the bulk mailing business for 35+ years, used several different software packages when I was working for a larger company, but never found one as easy to use with easy integration into an address database. I am now retired and working for my high school alumni association, a non-profit that awards 8-12 $1,000 scholarships annually. I needed to find a reasonably priced CASS Certified program for handling their mailings (2,000-2,500 pieces at a time) for this small budget group, and your software was perfect for us. Easy to use, integrates easily with our database and reasonably priced for a small organization...

Vorteile:

Ease of use, CASS Certification, works for non profit standard mail.

Nachteile:

Nothing really, never had a problem in the years using it.
