The customer service is very helpful. We have found this online phone system a major upgrade from our last provider.
Sometimes while programming it kicks me out for no reason. But this issue is being addressed.

I buy software for our office based on the tech team that I talk with. If the tech team is willing to talk to me and answer my questions, then I know that the whole team wants our business. The sales teams are great but the tech team is what sales the product to me. After I purchase a product or service than I work with the tech team to make sure all is running smooth. The tech here at Intermedia Unite is the best that I have worked with and that means I can get a lot of work accomplished because I have a very good support software and team. Well worth having on my team. Best phone software out there!
Nachteile:
The company does not have any problems with our office and we would highly recommend them to other businesses as well.

Low quality phone provider. Only useful for low volume calling
Kommentare: It was easy to purchase, easy to install, deploy, and start to use. However, after having several users doing a calling activity at the same time, the connections starts to fail

It is easy to use as any other phone provider, it has a good interface and a good reporting system.
Nachteile:
It's server is weak, the connection will keep rebooting, which will eventually affect the operation if it is a large-volume one

Customer service is immediately responsive to our calls and resolves issues promptly. However, we have only had to call them twice over the last 2 years and our problem was rectified within minutes. Thank you!

We cannot think of anything we woudl want to change.

Kommentare: I am so pleased. Everyone in the office appreciates the functionality of the product, especially now that we are 'remoting' more and more. The ability to video conference on the fly is a lifesaver for our team; we can get our work done -- but stay 'connected' a bit more than just a traditional phone.
Vorteile:
The best thing for us was implementing this just before the pandemic hit. We needed better unified communications and hosted phones for our team. The Intermedia onramp team was awesome, we had a single rep guiding us along -- which helped the consistency of the process. The setup was easier than we expected, the software easy to use once setup properly -- and it saves us $$$ every month.
Nachteile:
The support, although seldom required -- can be a bit slow. Granted -- when you have trouble with your phones you want immediate help. The key, however -- is that when help is reached -- they seem to get us fixed-up in a jiffy.

SO much better than Microsoft's exchange services
Kommentare: Initially I got valid, correct answers from Sales. My billing is consistent and accurate. I had one question about billing and got an immediate, understandable answer. When the service became live it worked. It was an easy transition. No emails were missing. My team was happy. And the spam, and hacks are so much less. It's amazing.
Vorteile:
The interface, for the most part, works. Much better than Microsoft's 365 portal. And everyone speaks English!! And calls me back!!!
Nachteile:
The passwords. Every time I use the portal I have to change my password. The login screen doesn't look at the username; instead it inserts a random user's credentials. After that it is not possible to reuse previous passwords. This happens to my entire team.
Outstanding
Kommentare: We have havd this system for some time now, and I have not had an issue that required a service technician on site. Now that I think about it, I haven't had an issue.
Vorteile:
The one feature that I like the most about this software is that is user friendly, but more importantly reliable.
Nachteile:
I can't find anything that I do't like about this software.
Good software for a small business
Kommentare: Overall, Intermedia Unite is a good system at a fair price for small businesses. We like its versatility.
Vorteile:
Our company has 24/7 phone service, but with staffing issues, this has been a challenge. With Intermedia Unite, we were able to set up an answering system for after hours that still gives the caller an option to reach a live dispatcher if the issue is urgent. Our remote staff is able to use their mobile phone to receive, make and transfer calls from our main number. We love the fact that we can have voicemails transcribed and sent via email.
Nachteile:
The system can be complicated to utilize and we do have a fair number of calls that have poor connection or cut in and out. I wish that our automated alerts for wake-up calls would work with the after-hours service that we have set up.

Intermedia Unite Cloud Hosted VoIP
Kommentare: Our experience with Intermedia Unite has been excellent! Some of our clients have users that are in different locations and before UNITE we would have to setup Site-to-Site VPN's to allow their phones to get on the HQ network. With the cloud based UNITE, phones are mostly plug-and-play!
Vorteile:
Ease of use. As an Intermedia partner we first adopted the VoIP phone system into our office... and use it daily. Once we saw how easy it was to use, we started recommending to our clients.
Nachteile:
The only thing we have had a problem with is ROUTERS on remote phones. With more users working from home these days, our clients are giving them an office phone to bring home. And sometimes those home routers are not compatible with the Intermedia Unite platform because SIP ALG is not a programmable feature to TURN OFF. And then we get dropped calls. This is tough to control and not much that Intermedia can do other than offering a compatible router that has integrated WiFi that we can recommend for home users.
Hosted vs Legacy PBX
Kommentare: Overall experience good with all aspects of features on phones.
Vorteile:
Most PBX features also available on Unite. The integration with desktop app and mobile app is convenient when roaming around office or remote work.
Nachteile:
BLF options are all (ring/no ring) for all buttons. Can't select specific BLF buttons for different ring/no ring.Making changes can be either over web page for Unite or direct to Yealink phone. Confusing on where to make programming changes
Intermedia Unite with VoIP service is superb
Kommentare: Unite has enabled our team to stay in touch and fully functional even when we have to operate remotely - no small feat for a tiny firm. From our initial outreach to Intermedia to setup and installation it was obvious staff at Intermedia know their product and were able to walk me through even the most complex task quickly and easily. Response to trouble tickets is quick if they can't solve an issue directly over the phone.
Vorteile:
The software is flexible and easy to use but also powerful. It is easy to navigate and features are self-explanatory.
Nachteile:
It can be a little obtrusive at times - would be nice if it had a quick "silence" or "sleep" mode - maybe located in the window title bar to prevent the app from interrupting calls or covering other windows.
Software does all you need and so much more!
Kommentare: The software is great and the customer service & support offered by Intermedia is second to none. They have real people with real knowledge available within moments of calling to walk you through any issue you might have. It is a pleasure working with them.
Vorteile:
I love being able to have voice mails transcribed and sent to my email, I never miss a name or digit in a phone number. The website is fairly easy to use to customize everything from the greeting to our billing. It's almost TOO much for our purposes, but the price is fantastic for the services, so I would recommend to anyone!
Nachteile:
There are quite a lot of features, almost too many for my purposes. It's easy to be slightly overwhelmed at customizing the software for your specific business.
We love Intermedia Unite
Vorteile:
Integration was pretty seamless compared to our last VoIP system. I like that there is an app and calls/messages can be managed from my desktop. The Yealink phones are fantastic and easy to use as well as looking nice in our office. I also like the Admin panel for accessing our account, there are many updates and features that can be done without having to contact customer support.
Nachteile:
The only minor issue we have is setting up voicemails for specific events. Establishing the event is easy and straightforward however we have to contact customer support each time in order to attach the voicemail recording. If we could record it each time from the office phone that would be great, it would really save time.
Intermedia Review
Kommentare: Since initial set up, we have had a great experience with UNITE. We use it for our office phone and fax.
Vorteile:
Being able to download the Intermedia ap and use my mobile phone when out of the office to answer business calls has been a great feature.
Nachteile:
The costumer service was great when we originally set up the account. However, setting up the voicemail for our office was difficult and took longer than I felt it should.
Elevate is critical in mobilizing our team
Kommentare: Great product and timely support.
Vorteile:
The ATS/ATC team has improved internal and external communications using the features offered by Elevate. Productivity has improved and customer satisfaction as well. Our team is being proactive and responding to customer needs directly vs. email exchanges and voicemail jail. These collectively will increase customer sat and employee sat. Both key to our business success.
Nachteile:
Wish the hotdesking feature was available.

We have been using Intermedia for our VOIP phone system for 3 1/2 years. We love it and have experienced rare outages, but 99% of the time smooth calls in and out, and a competent VM system.
Nachteile:
the cost is less than having landline, but not by alot.

Kommentare: When I started working here I didn’t know intermedia existed until I had my own office phone. Then everything else came into play

By the way, your survey should include "Consulting" as a industry. As professional technical consultants we actually work in "all' of the categories you listed. I selected architectural / engineering because I could not complete the survey until I made a selection. This selection was because our work typically includes some of this category, but certainly not all.
Nachteile:
I have no "cons' and really find irrating that I can't take this survey unless I type something in your box. How about having an selection such as "N/A."??
The best decision

The product is very easy to use; provides many options and benefits unlike the typical phone system. I have had excellent tech support especially when we moved, Intermedia made sure the system was working to its full potential. Customer service is also excellent. Shold have purchased this system years ago
Nachteile:
The voice message is hard to understand at times. It would be nice to have the verbiage for the respectful industry, so the message makes sense when it's played back
Intermedia Unite
Kommentare: Good
Vorteile:
We switched to Unite about a year ago from Comcast. Unite is certainly more flexible. The cost is a bout the same as Comcast, however, there are features in Unite that we find attractive. The emailed voice mail, the ability to text, etc. However, you do have to re-boot the phones periodically because they will give a constant busy signal unless they are cleared. Overall, Unite is a good value for the cost.
Nachteile:
Occasional problems with the connection, and the fact that you must re-boot the phones periodically.
Very Reliable
Kommentare: We only had one issue which was the bandwidth of our firewall and when we contacted Intermedia they helped us identify the problem and get it resolved with our IT team. Very good service.
Vorteile:
Thankfully we haven't needed to do any rerouting of our office lines calls and have been working in the office. But most of all this software call connection is reliable. We have had no issues with the quality of calls.
Nachteile:
I wouldn't say there is something I like least. We have not had to make any changes or updates, it's self sufficient which gives me time to focus on my business
Lots of Features & Excellent Customer Service
Kommentare: Transitioning from landline to VOIP was seamless and easy.
Vorteile:
Flexibility with the software is great. I can talk from my office or on the go. Setup was easy and intuitive. Customer support was GREAT. They kept working on the issue(s) until they were completely resolved. Very pleased with customer support.

VOIP connections periodically drop voice packets.
