Better reporting would be great. Reports are sufficient, but more customizability would be great.

Maybe that you need patches to restore to Proxmox. But no big deal

A powerful and efficient backup software that supported a lot of Virtualization platform

Vorteile:

1- The one of the most important point of Vinchin is support a lot of virtualization environments so it can manage and maintain all backup using one dashboard!. 2- The second point is easy to use, and can keep track the running jobs using a fantastic graphs with valuable content. 3- V2V Cross platform, I really used this feature to migrate VMs between different virtualzation environments. 4- Cost efficient.

Nachteile:

Vinchin is still not support tape library backup

Kommentare: Vinchin is excelent backup solution for cloud provider, the ability to do backup restore across the cloud-provider, regardless their cloud technology, is the advantages of vinchin.

Vorteile:

Vinchin is supported many cloud virtualization including vmware, the migration across different cloud is just one click away.

Nachteile:

its not yet supported metered billing (pay as you go).

I didn't find any problem about Vinchin software

I think emergency recovery is the most powerful attraction.

So far, the P2V function seems to be lacking. But it's not that important because it's something we can solve.

Review for Vinchin Backup & Recovery

Kommentare: Overall, the Vinchin Bakcup & Recovery is good to meet our basic backup & recovery requirements and it costs not so much. In addition, the software is user-friendly such as UI design and operation.

Vorteile:

The software has basically all the functions and it is not expensive as those software in the market.

Nachteile:

The software is not able to backup physical server and that will lower the rating a bit.

Kommentare: A few months ago, while the Exchange ProxyLogon Attacks, Vinchin helped me restore our Exchange Server in different Versions. Every Backuprestore creates a new VM automaticly. So i was able to switch between day-versions for running testscripts to find IoCs and export overwritten logs.

Vorteile:

I decided for Vinchin Backup and Recovery to save time for me for writing and for my collegues for explaining bash scripts. Vinchin gives me a nice and easy to use GUI to manage backup and restore processes for our oVirt VMs.

Nachteile:

The backup log ist not showing the task duration for a single VM. Sometimes Vinchin is not able to delete a backup snapshot (not furter investigeted yet - maybe my fault) Since the update to v6 the backupjob duration increased by about 6 hours (not furter investigeted yet - maybe my fault)

The perfect compromise to backup a mixed Virtual environment

Kommentare: We have been using Vinchin for 2 months and we are very satisfied .. We would probably need more training videos on specific type of hypervisors. But the overall experience is great...

Vorteile:

- The ability to manage different type of Hypervisor - The web Visualization interface ( The most beautiful visual Monitoring interface I have seen ).. - The features offered ... - The performance and the simplicity of the backup process -- And definitely the update process directly from the web console .

Nachteile:

- Still some improvement to do in the "File backup management" ( not flexible enough ) - Admin cannot interact with file backup agents directly...

Reliability Backup solution

Kommentare: Good experience, For maintenance you pay renew only for upgrade new version of software after first year, but support is for lifetime

IT is very good to have a solution dedicated to Sangfor HCI Cluster with a very fast service support.

Nachteile:

Vinchin Backup & Recovery Review

Kommentare: At the Executive Environment Agency there are virtual machines worked on Citrix server. Vinchin Backup & Recovery allows us to backup our virtual servers with just a few clicks via the Vinchin Web Console.

Vorteile:

The product is very easy to use. The integration with Citrix was easy.

Nachteile:

There is no difficulties to use the product Vinchin Backup & Recovery. The integration with business processes of the Executive Environment Agency was not difficult.

Vinchin in small Datacenter

Kommentare: Vinchin is the kind of software you would expect from a modern company. It does exactly what it is designed to do, fast and easy, without compromising the security and robustness of the product.

The easiest backup tool ever

Vorteile:

The first thing, their support. I was not even their client and they gave all the support necessary to come to speed using their tool. They were available to answer everyone of my questions. Second, their tool is wonderfully easy to setup and use.

Nachteile:

Could not find anything yet a thing a would dislike.

Vinchin Backup Citrix Hypervisor

Vorteile:

Reliable product, fast and easy to integrate.

Nachteile:

Payment method not atractive; not possible to pay in euros.

Great Product with Very Intuitive Interface

Vorteile:

What I liked most about this product was the very intuitive Administration interface. Everything was just where you would expect it to be which made things very simple.

Nachteile:

I cannot think of any cons at this time to post.

Smart Technology Solution

Kommentare: It is used for protecting vmware environment and used to replace vmware data protection (VDP) because VDP is very slow and it does not support the next vmware version (6.7). Vinchin is not too expensive and very easy to use and config.

Vorteile:

It very easy to use and not so complicate to config and use

Nachteile:

it not have a summary backup report for management review. It environment does not have any replication feature that very important for customer.

Support Problem

Kommentare: support must be fix problems in less time

Nachteile:

Support time need to be more less, OLVM support is need to be more. When had a issue always support need to time.

VinChin Backup & Recovery as an alternative to migrate VM from VMWare to Proxmox VE.

Vorteile:

I am using Vinchin Backup & Recovery to migrate VM from VMware and others virtualization platform to Proxmox VE and works perfect.

Nachteile:

It's need more customization in the recover forms, regarding Proxmox VE options, but this can changed in the Proxmox VE WEB GUI.
