Vorteile:

completes returns i would otherwise have to fill out by hand

requires an amount of navigating to get the software to put things when I want them to go.

Great for small businesses owners

Kommentare: Turbo tax is very user friendly. I recommend it to all my friends. It finds deductions I didn't know about and calculates everything for me quickly and efficiently as I go through it.

Vorteile:

Turbo tax makes it easy to understand what information is needed to fill out my tax returns and asks questions to make sure nothing gets missed

Nachteile:

It's time consuming to do my taxes. There are a lot of steps to get done in order to complete them

The only tax prep. Company i use every year

Selecting no for premium plans. Basic plans. Regular plans is a good experience. Because i've always done my taxes with them.Never with any other company

The thing that I liked most about turbotax is how easy it is for me to upload my W2. Information and then filling in my personal information makes doing taxes way less.Hectic

Nachteile:

I would have to say constantly asking 4 YouTube, pay for this pay for that basic plan for this premium plan for that. They should just put it all in one bundle and if it's a free service it should be free should not cost in the end

Good software for startup businesses.

Kommentare: Overall, we have had a good, but not great experience with TurboTax. I would recommend at least consulting a CPA in conjunction with this as your business matures.

Vorteile:

Seems to function as we need it to, along with providing the data and information that we need.

Nachteile:

There are some things that a CPA might catch sooner than the software will. Customer service can take a while to reach.

The ONLY way to do Taxes

Kommentare: TurboTax for Business is anyone and everyone. The most simplistic way to do your tax returns.

Vorteile:

This is the only way to do Taxes for my family. It walks you through everything with explanations and tells you exactly what you need for each step.

Nachteile:

The only con was that there were sometimes I needed my old tax returns, and it wasn't straightforward finding them.

Turbotax Business

Kommentare: I filed business returns, rental property, Individual and business taxes. The software is more advanced for these types of returns.

Vorteile:

Able to process business returns with ease and accuracy

Nachteile:

I think the price is too high, It could be more affordable like the home version

Excellent software for small business taxes!

Kommentare: TurboTax Business thoughtvof everything, including expenses I had not thought of. My tax right offs went well above what I originally thought they would be which made my refund several hundred dollars more then I originally estimated.

Vorteile:

I started a small business 2 years ago & needed to be able to write off my expenses which were close to $10,000. TurboTax business was my choice after reading plenty of reviews on other small business tax help programs. I was able to file with turbo tax business with my normal w-2 income as well as include my small business. It helped tremendously when it came to my tax bracket & the amount of a refund I was able to to receive from filing along with my business expenses.

Nachteile:

I don't have anything to really compare TurboTax business with since it was my first year filing & can't think of any reason I would use any other software when doing my 2024 taxes.

Bug in Business Software downloading

Kommentare: Terrible!!! Look under con part to see what Issues I had.

Vorteile:

Nothing was good since I was unable to get software downloaded ok.

Nachteile:

- unable to download business software package or uninstall it. - Spent 5 hours on phone with technical staff and they could not resolve the issue. - Technical staff not familiar with potential issues and are not understandable. - Every year there is an issue with Turbotax Business Software - Trusts should not be part of Business software package. - I was able to easily download Turbotax Premier software OK.

Efficient Tax Prep Software

Vorteile:

I like that TurboTax Business is easy to use. It provides prompts and moves you along the process quite quickly. I have a super small business, so it literally takes me less than an hour to get my taxes done.

Nachteile:

The only real issue I have is the price point. However, if I were to hire a tax consultant, I am sure I'd pay double.

Not a bad software

Vorteile:

The functionality is easy. Going back and fixing errors is easy as well.

Nachteile:

Hard to get rid of some errors...having to to go thru pape by page instrad of having a list of items or outline of the thibg we are working on.

Great for the small business owner

Vorteile:

I can't afford an accountant - this software is my tax accountant. It's easy to use and I've used it for years to manage taxes for my small business.

Nachteile:

Nothing, it works great and I find it easy to use.

Makes filing taxes easy.

Kommentare: I have been using Turbo Tax for 20 years. It is very thorough and I have never been audited. I feel confident that I am in compliance with the tax laws.

Vorteile:

It asks all the questions so you don't leave anything out.

Nachteile:

I couldn't think of anything except that you have to pay to file the state portion of the tax.

You Plug it Chugs

I’ve used TurboTax, electronic tax preparation software, for three consecutive years to file my state and federal taxes. TurboTax provides e-filing taxes services and assistance for those filing as self-employed, small business, military, and retirement tax purposes. TurboTax will make filing less of a hassle; all you have to do is plug, and it will take care of the chugging for you. Overall, I have been pretty pleased with the services but keep in mind it is always good to have a second pair of eyes to examine your taxes before filing. Pros We all know filing taxes can rack up quite a hefty bill, especially when hiring someone to do them for you. TurboTax provides the same services as a real person, for a reasonable cost. One of my favorite perks to using Turbo is that it saves all my previous year’s returns so I can easily access and refer to at any time; you can easily switch between the online platform and the mobile app without having to worry about your data or updates being lost. For those who don’t have a lot of sit-down time you can file on the go, directly from Turbo’s mobile app; which supports both iPhone and Android phone as well as an iPad and Android tablet. For beginners, this application is the step-by-step guide that walks you through the complete filing process from start to finish. If you still find you need assistance there is on-demand support and live-phone support (including CPA or EA assistance that can look over/double check your work before sending your return off) readily available to you 24-hours a day. If you are anything like me… a tax amendment or an extension of some sort is often in the equation; TurboTax contains all the forms you can easily access to complete any of these actions and will let you know exactly where to mail it to. After filing, the IRS should receive your return in as little as 1-2 business days and are generally approved within 1-2 business days as well (deposits and refunds take a bit longer, est. 19 business days).

Nachteile:

Although TurboTax does have a free plan, keep in mind you will still have to pay when e-filing (technically speaking… it’s not exactly free). As an experienced Turbo user for three years now, I have only encountered one experience where Turbo did not catch a mistake; for this reason, I would highly recommend you have one of the CPA/EA’s available to you via TurboTax look over your taxes before filing to help you catch any potential errors. While I have confidence in the applications security of my data and personal information I would not put 100% confidence in the results it provides as automated software can make mistakes too. In the future I hope TurboTax provides documentation on all of the calculations so that it is easier for people to work backwards and find mistakes when needed.

Turbo tax business review

It makes it a lot easier for me to add the tax data and also fill out every form and file it with IRS without a lot of hassle.

Nachteile:

Well some of the forms are too long but it is standard.

Amazing for Business Owners and Self-Employed

Kommentare: My overall experience has been amazing. Truly a helpful solution to doing your taxes and it is a fraction of the cost of a CPA. Every dollar can count when you're self-employed so saving that little bit during tax season and being at ease knowing you're using a great platform has helped a ton. Highly recommended!

Vorteile:

TurboTax saves a lot of money versus going to a CPA for tax season! It's highly intuitive and easy to use, even while being self-employed and owning my own business. Every year, the financial landscape changes and different sources of income come and go, but TurboTax asks you so many specific questions while working on your tax return that it makes figuring everything out very easy. In cases where I have been confused, a quick google search yields many results from their site and customer support, which have answered every question I've ever had. I've heard that their customer service and guidance is amazing but I haven't needed to use it.

Nachteile:

Occasionally there is a vague question but that is very rare and usually easily answered. Also, at the end of your return, if something is wrong, it won't process its final analysis so you need to go back and find the problem. Sometimes it's easy to find and other times they don't make it pop out so you have to search for a bit to figure out what was missed or what is incorrect.

Support guys on chat actually tells you if you buy from retailers(which BTW has listed all retailers on their website) then don't expect any help. TTBinc 2020 and TTBinc cannot co-exist. I have saved chats for anyone who cares, about how disgusting the experience with support was.

Till TTBinc 2020 everything was good. With TTBinc 2021 - something has changed as described below.

TTBInc 2020 cannot co-exist with TTBInc 2021 - Support is clueless, chat only, No telephone number!! Support guys on chat actually tells you if you buy from retailers(which BTW has listed all retailers on their website) then don't expect any help. TTBinc 2020 and TTBinc 2021 cannot co-exist. I have saved chats for anyone who cares, about how disgusting the experience with support was. They have a non-working half-cooked Patch with missing steps which they give you on live chat and which doesn't work. They don't help you over remote connection knowing that it is not going to work. So had to uninstall and re-install TTBinc 2020 on a different computer - where I had to get new codes from Support. They did provide new codes though.

Excellent for Standard Returns

Kommentare: For standard returns, I think this is the gold-standard.
Simple and cost effect while still accurate.

Vorteile:

The step-by-step process is really simple and quick. They ensure you don't miss anything without having to spend a long time going through documents.

Nachteile:

The problem comes if you stray beyond the standard return. In my last tax year, I got married to someone who does not have a social security number ... immediately, e-filing goes out the window. Other services make it possible to e-file even if you can't provide certain info for your spouse, as long as your info is accurate.

Highly recommend as a DIY option for income taxes

Vorteile:

TurboTax Business really walks you through everything you need. My taxes aren't extraordinarily complex, but I do run an inventory-based business, so it's more complex than a basic employee tax filing. That said, TurboTax really seems like it can handle the tax situations of quite a lot of people. It's pretty reasonably priced, and asks you questions that walk you through everything. They've got helpful explanations embedded within the software for questions you'd likely have about a specific section. They also have a pretty thorough help section, as well as live support if you need (though I never did). I hadn't ever done my own taxes before (only used H&R Block or similar in the past before owning a business), but I felt like TurboTax was very approachable.

Nachteile:

The only small complaint I have is that if you aren't working on the software for a little while, it logs you out (which is great for security purposes), but then when you log back in, it just takes you to the dashboard and you have to navigate back to the part you were working on. I wish it would give you the option when you log back in of taking you directly to the last page you had been on when it logged you out.

Works great for an uncomplicated small business

Kommentare: It does what I need easily and I have no complaints, and for taxes and bookkeeping, that's what you're looking for!

Vorteile:

I have a small business on the side and TurboTax Business serves my needs really well. Keeps me organized and makes tax time a breeze. If you've got a lot more going on or this is your primary business, you may be looking for more functionality, but for a side hustle this is top notch.

Nachteile:

Every time I've tried to contact customer service they haven't been a ton of help. Always want you to buy into a higher tier or send you to the forums. I usually find an answer there but it would be great to have people who'd answer your questions quickly.

TUrbo Tax Excellent for Small Business

Kommentare: Overall, Turbo Tax for Business make tax prep and preparation of a return a breeze. IN less than one day, with only a little advance tax prep, both state and federal returns were done with ease and no stress.

Vorteile:

I am fully confident in the structure, backup and support that Turbo Tax provides for small business owners. Much cheaper that a tax preparer and as a small business owner cost is key to a profitable year. Turbo tax is so simple and easy to use - anyone can do it with confidence that they are getting all the breaks and benefits allowed in preparing a return whether state or federal.

Nachteile:

I filed for an extension last year through Turbo Tax. when I filed the return, it did not include the fee for filing late so it was a small surprise to get bills from both the State and Feds. In this instance, the amount owed was nominal but in another case things could have been different. Would be good for the software to include late fees/interest/penalties or at least to warn you to check with State and Feds regarding this.

Worth purchasing for complicated returns!

Vorteile:

Turbo Tax is one of the easiest tax programs to use. It stands out for how easy it is to use and its intuitive design and flow. It has a free filing option available, but if one want to take advantage of deduction & credits, one need to pay for it. The software lets you import W-2’s as well as your previous year’s return. Turbo Tax also has good tools for finding errors in your return. It runs a complete final check over both state and federal returns to look for errors and see if there are any deductions or credits you missed.

Nachteile:

It’s most expensive software when compared with others. Free version of this is only viable for simple returns. Filing a regular 1040 will need to go with one of the paid versions.

Great tool to get your books in line come tax time

Kommentare: Taxes are so confusing, but TurboTax's clear process makes it easy to see how revenue and expenses impact your bottom line at tax time. Although on the pricey side, the software quickly pays for itself.

Vorteile:

TurboTax Business keeps me and the IRS happy. Their updated software and thorough steps make sure that I don't miss any deductions or mess up my company's taxes.

Nachteile:

I've learned that the price jumps if you don't file before March. TurboTax conveniently saves your info from last year, but of course that makes it harder if you want to switch providers.

Very Helpful for Those Without Tax Knowledge

Vorteile:

I like TurboTax because for the last couple years, I have filed my taxes by myself and TurboTax has made it extremely easy for me to do that! It is easy to follow and I have never had an issue with my filings or returns.

Nachteile:

What I liked least about this software are all the premium features such as not being able to have access to some files after certain amounts of time.

Become a Tax Master

Kommentare: Overall I consistently use TurboTax every single year to file my taxes because I know it will be simple and reliable, they help ensure that I'm going to get the maximum tax refund.

Vorteile:

TurboTax is one of the simplest and easy ways to file your taxes when tax time comes around. It easily syncs to payment providers like ADP so that you can easily integrate your pay stubs and W2s into the software. It also offers the ability to scan a W-2 to easily upload it and file. They explain the process really well making taxes easy to do for virtually anyone.

Nachteile:

I do feel like they charge a bit too much for just a few more services like when you have to buy the premium version just to file your investments.

Make Taxes Easy

Kommentare: I used to go through an accountant that charged 2-3x what TurboTax does. I always was afraid I would get audited because I made a mistake. Low and behold my accountant made mistakes and I still got audited. After trying my hand at TurboTax I cut expenses massively by dumping the accountant and doing TurboTax.

Vorteile:

I love that TurboTax helps me easily categorize all my business expenses so that I can itemize them and maximize my deductions.

Nachteile:

Less a complaint with TurboTax and more with taxes in general, it is extremely tedious and time-consuming, but at least with TurboTax they help make sure I don't miss anything!
