Facilitate dock scheduling

Kommentare: We use it in some of our plants that are not using trailer pools. So far we have 4 mills/DC using Dock Master and everyone seems to enjoy the tool

Vorteile:

No need to have the system on premise. Can easily interface our own system with Intellitrans tools by either using their proprietary interface or through EDI. Ease of use by our internal customers. Facilitate communication with our carriers.

Nachteile:

Before configuring the tool and have it integrated in CarrierPoint it needs to be "initiated" by Intellitrans support team. Once done you can customize the doors and dock by yourself.

Good Software, with plenty of customized features.

Kommentare: We now have a much better flow of traffic in/out of our mill. It has helped to make things run more smoothly and efficiently.

Vorteile:

Overall it is a good software to use and it can be modified as needed with the help of the support staff at Intellitrans.

Nachteile:

There were some glitches upfront that we had to deal with, in which the software stop interacting with our systems. Overall seems to be an easy fix.

Carrier point

Vorteile:

Its more esay for me and the simplicity of system

Nachteile:

Its more difficult when i do cancel a shipment an communicate with carrier

Easy for all things trucking

Vorteile:

Being able to view all of my pending loads especially from multiple locations throughout the country. The dockmaster feature talks with our system at the yards instantaneously and makes it so easy to use.

Nachteile:

There are just a few quirks to the system, one of the only things I can attest to is when it defaults to a "FLOAT" door and our yards can't scale the truck in. It only takes a minute to fix but still a thorn in the side!

CarrierPoint review

Kommentare: To be honest I am not really sure what is the DockMaster, we are using CarrierPoint in Stora Enso

Vorteile:

We are using it to create transport agreements, this is easy also very easy to find rates and supplier master data in the system

Nachteile:

Sometimes CarrierPoint is too flexible, we would need to have more boundaries set, if it is too flexible then our procurement managers are too innovative
