Great desktop software for complex data dedupes

Kommentare: Great tool to allow our business to clean and manage its advertiser and reader databases.
Support staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

Vorteile:

Powerful feature set that allows easy single and double file dedupes. Supports many formats of data and runs very fast

Nachteile:

Some features are quite complex to configure but once you get to grips you will be pleased by the level of complexity and configurable settings

not sure how it cleans data??

Kommentare: overall it does the job, whilst being fairly slow, 20 minutes plus to clean and check 10K records.
sometimes disappointed that the software isn't able to identify correct information , but in the wrong order.

Vorteile:

it does the job, however part of our job is to check addresses that are un-verified by the software., which can often result in 1000;s of records to check

Nachteile:

if you have just a postcode and a house number the system will generally fail to add detail and verify an address, likewise if address data is in the wrong order (house number after the road) the software is unable to spot and correct this. Also spaces in data fields cause the system a problem

MatchIt Software Solution

Kommentare: Have been usiong MatchIt for over a decade. The software has always been functional and well supported.

Vorteile:

HelpIt systems provide a very good level of support, including training courses if needed. Software is low cost and also flexible. DPS allocation system, in particular, works much better that our external PAF supplier.

Nachteile:

No particular issues, other than the occasional problem which arises every now and then.

Couln't do my job without it.

Kommentare: Overall experience has been very good and would recommend/have recommended it's use to other businesses

Vorteile:

You can create your own unique searches, not just rely on default settings. Many setting variables allow you to tailor the searches to the varying quality of data sets worked on. Finds matches I would have struggled to find, if find at all, manually. These days MatchIT is far quicker than earlier versions. Easy/straightforward to renew every year. Enthusiastic and helpful support.

Nachteile:

Sometimes seems a little fragile/sensitive. Keyboard shortcuts don't work properly, have to keep switching to mouse.

Good product, great support and service

Kommentare: Initial sales and consultation process was very good, lots of help/advice without being too pushy to get the sale. Excellent after sales support to help us get the best from the product.

Vorteile:

It's flexibility and open-source nature of the SQL version and quality of results

Nachteile:

It's a bit tricky getting your head around how and what to change in order to tweak the matching results to get it tailored perfectly when working with different different data sources that have different quality level

Very good tool, closely integrated with SSIS and with excellent support available.

Kommentare: Cleansing customer data such as postal addresses and names. Deduplicating customer data. Suppressing specific categories of customers. Integrating within SSIS solutions. Migrating data between environments and applications

Vorteile:

This is for MatchITSQL. - On-premise only environment which is deemed important for data isolation per legal requirements. - Uses MS SQL Server which takes advantage of existing infrastructure and licensing. - Closely integrated with SSIS which allows for very detailed and complex customization and manipulation of and allow to alternate between MatchIT automation and pure SSIS transformation/scripting as necessary. - Brilliant and responsive customer support as well as good quality consultancy services have been a great help in implementing MatchIT in real-world solutions with very little downtime due to blocking issues. - Very extensive parameterization capabilities.

Nachteile:

I think it would be beneficial to have more detailed documentation available as well as step-by-step examples/tutorials/videos to help get up to speed with MatchIT SQL, especially in relation with the plethora of parameterization capabilities available.

Good quality product

Kommentare: We really like Match it its a great program, its expensive but like anything you get what you pay for. The staff have fantastic knowledge and are incredibly helpful. The tech support is second to none.

Vorteile:

The software is clear and simple to use. It does vastly more then similar competitors programs. It has a lot of great features which make it simple.

Nachteile:

The last version had a few glitches that don't seem to have been resolved yet.

Leading Dedupe Softare

Vorteile:

I've used MatchIT for 10+ years and get really good results on this software. Whilst many many apps will do deduplication on data, we find MatchIT to be the most flexible and affective.

Nachteile:

It can be a little fiddly to get things setup right the first few times although guides are available.

Does what it says on the can

Kommentare: It as provided most of the things we need and has performed well. Help is very good and I would recommend it.

Vorteile:

It seems to be very accurate and we haven't had any anomalies with data etc. Runs pretty fast considering the amount of data it uses, especially when using suppression files.

Nachteile:

Little bit quirky and has a few minor issue, mainly with interpretation of data and header records. Not the most easiest layout to use as things need to be run in certain orders and this can be a bit clunky on this side.

Essential Tool for our needs

Kommentare: I use this software on a weekly basis, for multiple tasks. i find it intuitive and always meets the needs of the task.

Vorteile:

The software is clear and concise, which allows us to process and analysis our data quickly and accurately. we also transfer specific variables from one list to another, this achieves this need flawlessly.

Nachteile:

It can slow down when we compare large lists against each other.

SQL Prompt and SQL Search

Kommentare: Customer service is key. Every issue we've had has been dealt with promptly, and the people at the other end of the phone line are obviously very knowledgeable.

Vorteile:

We love this. It makes all the niggly bits of SQL coding and automates them out, so you spend your time thinking and programming not typing and looking for names/objects.

Nachteile:

It doesn't like Citrix - we had to run a special implementation. To be fair the workaround does work, but it can be challenging for a new user.

Easy to use

Vorteile:

We manage 1.2mil data accounts with a variety of fields. We generally mail to this data, for marketing purposes. This data needs to checked regularly to avoid duplicates from one file to a next. The matchit software allows us to complete these checks quickly and accurately.

Nachteile:

It can take some time to run the files but this is to be expected when dealing with such large volumes of data.

Excellent mailing house address software

Kommentare: Excellent software for the mailing industry, when looking to reduce postage costs for larger mailings.

Vorteile:

Easy to setup jobs. Fast data processing. Easy to understand 'out of box' reporting.

Nachteile:

Can be resource hungry if you are using large data files. Sometimes have to run jobs multiple times, using different options to obtain full results.

Hard to tell who it is aimed for

Vorteile:

Access to the most common data processing for bulk mailing jobs combined with easy access to additional paid services.

Nachteile:

Unintuitive, convoluted ways of achieving even the most basic results, bizzarre quirks, problems with comma delimited files and lacking so absolutely basic functionality it is baffling (no option to ignore a file's native header row from processing without jumping through so many hoops with so many caveats it's not worth it in the end).

I've been using matchIT for over 25 years.....need I say more?

Kommentare: It's come a long way & having used matchIT since I think v2.1 on 2 floppy disks - it's matching routines assist in many of the multi-file dedupe work I still do!

Vorteile:

Intuitive imports and great processing speed for multi-file work

Nachteile:

Nothing really - having worked with it in its many phases of development - always learning new tricks.

MatchIT Mailsort & PAF datacloeansing

Kommentare: Very good, they are very helpful and quick to respond

Vorteile:

This software is very good at creating mailsort files, bag tags, and quite easy to use after some training that Matchit provide over the phone.

Nachteile:

The only con was that we still cant prevent the column headers from an imported csv file appearing in the mailsort data without a complicated blacklisting of those names (which may be in the data so not a good idea).

Mailing House

Vorteile:

I've worked in the mailing industry for nearly 8 years now. MatchIT suite is definitely the most user friendly and ease of use software I have used.

Nachteile:

None, the software does what i need it to do.

Doesn't have all the requirements that we currently need but still a great product

matchIT Review

Vorteile:

It allows us to mailsort jobs. Does what it says it should.

Nachteile:

The interface is currently too complicated to pass on to our despatch team. Currently have to have our developers using it. The minimum gone away / deceased cost is very high.

MatchIT review. Really easy to use software

Kommentare: Slicker processes and system integration. It's making my teams day to day job easier and allowing us to go above and beyond for our clients.

Vorteile:

The ease of use and also it's feature rich. We use MatchIT for automations and never have any issues. No problems with large data files and speed is not an issue.

Nachteile:

No real dislikes with the software. Overall I am happy with the features.

Very handy software for those in the mailing industry. Those looking to cut costs when it comes to mass mailings for either them or their customers should really think about investing.

Nachteile:

The look and feel of the app is a little dated.

Kommentare: The cost of the software is a big benefit but its good software too so.

Vorteile:

Once you know the steps and setting for your dedupe it's quick and easy to use.

Nachteile:

Sometimes with new data sets it can take a bit of playing around to get your ideal settings.

matchIT

Vorteile:

We can use MatchIT for all of our clients regardless of which postal provider they choose.

Nachteile:

Initially it was quite confusing to use but the IT support was fantastic and talked us through it well.

Data cleaning success

Vorteile:

This software was straightforward to use, and did everything that I hoped it would.

Nachteile:

The support wasn't quite as helpful as I'd hoped.
