Extrem entäuschend

Kommentare: Leider habe ich Fusion grade wieder verlängert, wird aber mein letztes Abojahr sein, das Gesammtpaket ist leider nur extrem entäuschend.

Vorteile:

Die weite Verbreitung macht vieles einfacher, solange keine komplexen Vorgänge zu bewältigen sind.

Nachteile:

Leider läuft Fusion immer wieder extrem instabil. Fehlermeldungen sind kryptisch. Durch die vielen Updates sind die meisten Tutorials nicht wirklich hilfreich, die eigenen Quellen sind eine Katastrophe.

Fusion 360, a simple alternative for 3D mechanical design

Kommentare: The use that I have given to Fusion 360 is more oriented to modeling simple parts and parts to be printed in 3D, in these areas it is even more versatile than the other software I have used, such as Autodesk Invetor and SolidWorks, which I have used. used to perform complex assemblies and simulations.

Fusion 360 is a lighter and cheaper alternative for the design of 3d parts and machines, although it does not have all the features that can be found in specialized software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, that simplicity and low cost can mean an advantage if what you want to design and draw is not very complex. Another great advantage is that Fusion 360 can be used for free if you are looking for a hobby use. For example to manufacture parts on your 3D printer or on your CNC router.

Nachteile:

As it is a technical software, free modeling is somewhat restricted, so if you are looking to make aesthetic models or with complex shapes, this software is not the best alternative. In terms of mechanical design, although you can get good results with simple parts and machines, for complex assemblies it will also be somewhat limited and you will have to opt for options such as Autodesk Inventor.

Kommentare: This software has been so easy to use from day one! I couldn't be more thrilled with it. Being an SME, it is offered on an annual basis free of charge. My network of engineers are amazed I am able to accomplish what I have using this software when the companies they come from are paying thousands for licensing. I also would like to note that Autodesk offer an incredible specialization to really round out your skills via Coursera.

Vorteile:

This software has been an incredible tool for my business. Being that our principle service is Design and Engineering, Fusion 360 has offered all my team and I could ask for in a software. It has been very intuitive, and regular updates or feedback from the customer service team. In addition, there is a massive online community with video tutorials or guides both created by, or individual users of the Fusion360 software.

Nachteile:

I can honestly say that there has not been an issue since day one of using the software. If I have a need to address, the online community are quick to provide thoughtful responses and guidance allowing me to solve any issues my team and I may have.

Overpriced and doesn't properly work

Kommentare: It's bad, i wouldnt recommend. I've started to use it because it was free to makers and small companies, then it got hella expensive and i wouldn't suggest to even touch it.

Vorteile:

Ease of use and UI is elegant to look at.

Nachteile:

Software isnt yet to be finished. Coding itself is bad and people with coding background including myself thinks that this one software is built upon 2 different programming languages that contradict each other. It's clunky and tries to bring you errors instead of trying to understand what you're trying to do and forums are full of self-boasting fans and dwellers which only to bring you that it has a "workaround" and you should be ashamed of yourself to bring the problem on the table. Everything is cloud. What i mean by everything i mean EVERYTHING. You dont have any privacy or any probability to work offline. Render costs you money. Even if youre a paid user. Little things come together and forms you this one big mess ball. Tl:Dr : i wouldnt touch this program ever again after this project ends.

Fusion 360 quickly became our #1 Design software

Kommentare: Fusion 360 is a fantastic program at a great price. Since bringing this tool into our environment we have pretty much stopped using everything else.

Vorteile:

What initially drew us to Fusion 360 was the price compared to Rhino or Solidworks. However, this is a POWERFUL tool with just about every feature we could ask for.

Nachteile:

Our team who had previously worked with Solidworks and Rhino took to Fusion 360 very quickly. Personally, I am more of a novice on CNC. For me the learning curve was pretty steep. Ultimately I found a course on it which helped a TON.

Fusion 360, the always improving youngster in CAD/CAM/CAE!

Kommentare: 3D modeling in Fusion 360 is a wonderful experience as I have designed products ranging from medical equipment to automotive technology to household tools and even industrial machine parts with ease.

Vorteile:

First of all, you can never lose any file on Fusion 360. Even if you fail to save and your device shuts down, you can always get a recovered version on restarting Fusion on that device. Secondly, Fusion 360 is so light as compared to its other competitions as it really doesn't consume much of your OSD/ROM. Finally and obviously, you can easily get access to your design files from anywhere and at anytime you want it as Fusion saves them on the cloud.

Nachteile:

Of course, Fusion 360 is cloud based and may consume internet data while it is running in "working online" mode. And in offline mode, user experience might not be smooth.

Kommentare: I'm very satisfied to have switched on Fusion360 and I use the simulation features that allows me to made structural calculations using fast cloud computing

Autodesk made a huge development over the year to create a high level product. There is not a best feature but a lot of good feature that melt together makes a very good software

Nachteile:

The leak of some commads, but the development is going fast

Kommentare: We're an Robotics based Ed-tech startup with the help of which we're creating robotics and other technical solutions for our customers. Therefore, a lot of R&D we do, we create each and every single part or component of a robot in the software.
We're rendering the models, creating scenarios and simulating in real time in order to get the right design values and material selection for our product

Vorteile:

1. I've been using this software to create the kinematic links and simultaneously creating the mechanism joints resulting in getting the desired motion, I want to show in a simulation 2. With the help of it's feature recognition tool, it's easy to design each and every single part and can align them in a single tree 3. Easy to access shortcuts helps an advanced user to design components more quickly

Nachteile:

As this software a cloud-based, it requires high-speed internet to stay logged in while designing and rendering the whole model. Constant updating is one thing that I'm concerned cause it popped out in the middle of your work

Best cloud based CAD software

Vorteile:

its cloud based rendering helps me a lot because it helps me getting high quality image without using my pc power and instantly.

Nachteile:

The software overall not have something i don't like but its getting Havier by every update which is a problem for old computer systems. because lot of student use fusion and have old PC.

Excellent 3D CAD design software

Kommentare: I have enjoined using it, I actually was able to finish a prototype design using tool, it saved my day since it allowed me to design an organic piece that I badly needed, that I was not able to design accurately with open source software that I was using at that time.

Vorteile:

- There is a free version for Fusion 360 used for students, startups and teachers. - The modeling tools are really good they allow you to build organic shapes with ease. - The learning curve is not as steep. - It has an amazing support since is owned by Autodesk. - You can create machine code (G-Code) to send it to cut or 3D print. - There are several tutorials online and now is more used in the mechanical design industry.

Nachteile:

The thing I did not like is that is entirely run on the cloud, you have to have an internet connection.

3d models in the making

Kommentare: Thanks to the many manuals on YouTube, you can draw 3D models in a reasonable amount of time

Vorteile:

The software is very versatile and user friendly. The software to go to make 3d models.

Nachteile:

the learning curve is quite steep, but with some effort you wil be able te draw simple models.

Kommentare: So easy to use so good for furniture manifacturing, i say in description that i m working as 3d artist and ui ux designer but before thag i was working with my dad which is a carpenter

I start in learning 3d by this software beacuse it's so easy to use and understand how it work and i can make so amamzing decore or furniture in minute and showing it to my customers

Nachteile:

I switch to blender because it's easier to make organic shapes so maybe thinking to add a sculpting mode to fusion and it will be perfect for me

An Excellent Tool for Designing 3d Prints and CAD Prototypes

Kommentare: In the context of Fusion being a tool for novices, it is an excellent tool to start designing in to learn the ins and outs of CAD and 3D modeling.

Vorteile:

Fusion is a hybrid parametric modeling program offered by Autodesk. Fusion is the more entry level offerings in the Autodesk lineup, being simpler to use compared to their other offerings like Maya and 3DSMax, albeit while fulfilling a different role. One of the main benefits of Fusion 360 is that it is free. After then end of the trial you can choose to continue using the software as a hobbyist for free, allowing you to use it so long as you do not monetize the models created in Fusion. Being free, there is plenty of documentation and tutorials available to get started on Fusion and begin using it for CAD design. One of the areas where Fusion shines is for 3d printing, creating suitable printable models with ease. Fusion integrates with many models of 3d printers so that they can be directly printed from the program. For unsupported printers, Fusion can also export 3d printable formats such as .STL files for the printer to use. This is usually preferable anyways, as it allows for more flexibility compared to printing right in Fusion.

Nachteile:

Fusion is a hybrid modeler, combining the features of a direct modeler and parametric modeler to create a more streamlined and easy to use tool overall. This means that some of the more complex parametric modeling tools and functions are missing from Fusion, making it unsuitable for more serious CAD design. While the interface is clean, many functions are often hidden behind too many mouse clicks that can make the program hard to navigate at times. this can be particularly confusing for those unaccustomed to 3D modeling or CAD software.

Its user friendly and has lots of features that includes simulation and manufacturing that can be used in the industry

Nachteile:

The exporting from a 3d model into 2d is a little bit troublesome because it does not output a 2d drawing like the ones in autocad

A great alternative to the more expensive 3D modeling softwares out there

Vorteile:

The cloud-based rendering is a great feature in Fusion 360 which puts way less strain on your cpu compared to a local render, allowing to continue working uninterrupted. There are a ton of render options for both your model and the background environment, and the final quality of the rendered images is fantastic. I like the cloud-based file sharing option which allows you to collaborate with others on the same project. It's also available for mac operating system as well as windows unlike some of its competitors. Regular updates and improvements that run relative unnoticed in the background, and they are constantly adding cool new features. It takes up very little room on your hard drive as the software is mostly cloud-based.

Nachteile:

Fusion 360 is still a relative newcomer in the 3D modeling software world, and although I think it is a great contender to it's competitors, it is still very glitchy and crashes often. The output file format options are very limited compared to the input file format options.

Simple but effective, Fusion 360

Kommentare: Fusion360 is simple and great specially to get started or simple projects since the software allows the user to undergo the whole process from your 3D model to the simulation of the manufacturing process. A highly recommended product.

Vorteile:

3D CAD is simple, controls are user friendly, very straight forward menu with ease of accessibility to the various 3D modelling tools/controls, work can be saved on the cloud meaning you can access your work at any place. The best part about this software is the manufacturing add-in, you can undergo the whole process of bringing your product to life, from the 3D model, to manufacturing it with the various options fusion 360 has to offer (lathe, milling, water cutting, etc). 3D printing function is also great, the software gives you the G-code (necessary for 3D printers to print) for you to import it into your printer dedicated software and voila!

Nachteile:

The software is simple which can also be a con if you are interested in more complex geometries and mechanical studies of parts you should look for more specialized software like SolidWorks or Inventor.

A well packaged cloud based CAD, CAM and CAE software

Kommentare: fusion 360 was very easy for me to learn and its been a great experience using it so far. majorly, I use fusion 360 in designing products for additive manufacturing as it is easy to modify my design and share with the team from anywhere since its cloud based.

Vorteile:

The fact that it is cloud based made it easy for you to work as a team on the same project. fusion 360 offer great features especially in the 3D sketch as compared to its competitors, and the regular updates improves the UI and UX. as light as it is, its fully packaged with features to enable users make even complex designs, render and as well simulate it.

Nachteile:

fusion 360 crashes too much especially when trying to upload designs made in offline mode to cloud, and it can be really frustrating.

Best choice for Makers

Kommentare: I was able to teach myself 3D CAD, and solve all my basic needs around 3D printing projects, like little accessories, cases or replacement parts for any broken item around the house.

Vorteile:

Fusion 360 is an excellent piece of software for hobbyists and makers, especially considering that it's completely free, even for small businesses. The learning curve is very steep and if you are willing you can create complex designs all by yourself in very short time.

Nachteile:

You need a basic understanding of the working principles of a 3D CAD software and you must be willing to try and learn. It's not as easy as working with primitives like in Tinkercad, but it's of course aimed at another group of people. What should also be noted, is that Fusion 360 is cloud based, so all your designs are stored there, which is convenient, when you access them from different locations but can also be a disadvantage if Autodesk will one day decide to pull the plug on the servers. If you are using an older Mac, be aware that they will soon drop support for macOS below version 10.13.

Workhorse CAD, Mirrors the Industry Standard.

Kommentare: Once installed I love this program, kids are designing and printing from day one uninhibited by the quirkiness of other freeware.

Vorteile:

This program along with a couple of online tutorials get my students creating solutions to human problems in the first couple of days of class. From there they begin to see the connection between structure, function, and asthetics.

Nachteile:

Initial installation is frustratingly clunky and overly involved. In order for my students to get an educational license I have to provide each of them with a letter on school letterhead. If we are at a school, using school based google domain emails perhaps we can get this program going a little easier!

Trash

Kommentare: The absolute most mind numbing software and customer service on the planet. Do yourself a favor and just spend the money for mastercam or esprit. I cant stress enough how annoying this software is to use everyday. They implement too many weekly changes to have any sort of consistency. You constantly need to adapt. Some features feel like a beta version.

Vorteile:

Its cheap but that doesn't mean its worth your time.

Nachteile:

you get what you pay for, which is a cloud based software that barley works, can't render more then 300 holes without lagging out, and annoying pop-ups that if you hover over anything, will block everything you need to see.

Great tool for 3d Printing!

Vorteile:

The feature set of this tool was really great. I regularly design 3d models to print and this has played a key part in my learning. And it was really easy to use. I have used other cad tools in the past so I do have experience but I do think it would easy for anyone to pickup.

Nachteile:

- Lack of simulation tools for 3d printed parts - Hard to do text or sketch on curved surfaces

Cost effective with some drawbacks

Vorteile:

It is a very intuitive software that is cheaper than most of the alternatives and performs on par if not better than its competitors. It has a great cloud facility which makes collaborating possible.

Nachteile:

it is not possible to replace parts within an assembly which makes it a hassle to reassemble it. Sometimes, the tools that we organize according to our liking defaults to their original places, which then requires us to manually rearrange the tools again.

Fusion 360 is a more Modern and Friendly Solidworks

Kommentare: I enjoy using Fusion 360 for design, the interface and modern design make it pleasant to use.

Vorteile:

The interface is very up to date and easy to get used to. It does not feel like most cad software programs, it is a sort of happy medium between the old interface of products like SolidWorks and AutoCAD and newer simpler products that are made for more lightweight editing. It is easy to manipulate and create objects, and I find myself often working faster in Fusion 360 than when I use SolidWorks.

Nachteile:

It feels like some of the more intense and powerful tools are missing (like structural analysis and finite element modeling), which is likely more a result of the kind of product they are trying to release than slacking on the part of the developers.

A very rewarding program to learn.

Vorteile:

I like this program as it offers many features that can also be seen in programs such as Solidworks. However, Fusion can be acquired for free while Solidworks can cost quite a bit of money. Fusion also has a builtin CAM software so it can generate G-Code straight from the model that can also be designed in the program. Fusion is primarily a CAD program specifically for 3D design and it does a great job at that as well, the models can be easily designed once you get the hang of the program and models can also be easily exported to STL files for 3D printing later.

Nachteile:

The program has a mild learning curve as the main concept of it is to first, draw out a 2D sketch and then extrude that into a 3D model, and even though it is a great alternative to Solidworks should Solidworks be a bit too expensive. It lacks a few features that Solidworks does have. However, the program is quite easy to learn from online tutorials and general trial and error.

Finally a 3D CAD/CAM design software cross-platform

Kommentare: I was a user of another software from the same company probably 14 years ago when I was taking a product design degree, and had to stop using it when I transitioned to Mac. It's great now to be able to use it again without having to create virtual machines! It's still the same great product, with a lot of new features

Vorteile:

It's great to have a CAD/CAM software that runs natively on MacOS system. It has been my favourite tool to design, model, assemble and render projects, and all on the same tool. No exports needed or external render engines - it's all I need!

Nachteile:

It can be a bit heavy when processing big fies, and performance-wise it could be improved on a MacOs systems.
