Diamond Scheduler Software Review

Vorteile:

This software was easy to install, easy to get started. The tech support was next to none, the developer was very responsive and helpful.

Nachteile:

Some functionality was difficult to find or achieve, but again the developer was very responsive, and the instructions were clear and concise.

Diamond Scheduler Review

Kommentare: I use the Diamond Scheduler to produce schedules for baseball/softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. The number of teams has been 200-500. It has been useful to use different scheduling parameters for each of the leagues for the sport. We have some leagues with an uneven number of teams. The schedule for a league can be generated and then re-generated with different parameters to get a better outcome. If parameters are selected carefully and you concentrate on defining a sufficient number of game sites for all teams, a high percentage of games can be assigned automatically and the varied constraints are honored. The software package is also used to handle re-schedules and scoring. As I have gained more experience with the product, I have established some good tools to organize information for scheduling, to populate the required tables in Diamond Scheduler, and then to run the required permutations to produce the initial schedule. Support is handled by email. The responses are prompt and customer focused. Suggestions for enhancements can be made and some end up in the product.

Vorteile:

All information required to schedule can be uploaded meaning the information can be gathered from multiple resources and collated in a spread sheet. All information from the schedule can be downloaded. Although it takes a bit to learn the impact of some parameters for scheduling, the variety can be used for different scheduling scenarios. Teams which cannot play at the same time can be marked with a common coach allowing the schedules for all teams to be viewed when reviewing the placement of teams for multiple teams. Conflicts for teams can be viewed when using the grid to re-assign time slots to games. The package includes some good displays which can be used to confirm teams are playing the assigned number of games and the distribution of opponents is appropriate.

Nachteile:

When game times need to be assigned manually, some type of warning should be given if the time violates a conflict or a coach with multiple teams. You can check this later with varied reports but knowing that when placing the game would be helpful.

Adult League Director

Kommentare: This is easy when you have 30 or less teams to schedule. If you have anything more then it gets too challenging and time consuming.

Vorteile:

I like that you can assign a person to the team to help with conflicts.

Nachteile:

Trying to generate the schedule. Trying to figure out the right combinations of settings in order to get all the games scheduled can be very irritating. Sometimes it makes no sense when it tells you there were 10 games unscheduled when you have plenty of field space.

Remarquable scheduling software!!

Kommentare: I've been using this software approximately 25 years. I've been using it for hockey and ringette leagues.It's been so useful for any type of scheduling. Any questions or demands was easy with support team. Any request or add-on in the software was often done within days! Remarkable! You don't see this being done by any one else. Working with this software is stress free! There's no doubt in my mind this software can and will provide satisfaction to the teams that deserves a good schedule!!

This software provides users the ability to generate optimal schedules for any sports. The software is user friendly and easy to manoeuvre within the platform. It has the ability of scheduling all type of schedule like tournaments and regular season. Any questions or problem you may have, are answered fairly quickly.

Nachteile:

I don't see anything wrong with this software.

Does everything you want, if you know how to make it do it

Kommentare: Diamond Scheduler can absolutely do what you need it to, as long as you can put the patience into figuring it out.

Vorteile:

This software does just about everything you'd need it to do for scheduling a league. It also has third-party integration for syncing your schedule and scores with league hosting sites. The software is organized well and puts a lot of thought into making repetitive tasks more efficient. For example, you can set up a whole regular schedule by copy/pasting one day onto a range of dates in just a few clicks. The software also provides the flexibility to take into account your random exceptions, like if a team can't play on Fridays or if one person coaches two teams. After you have the software create the schedule, it still allows you to make manual changes as you need. There are also a ton of reports so you can check almost any metric you can think of -- are teams evenly distributed throughout the week; do they all play each other the same number of times; etc.

Nachteile:

The software can be hard to learn, especially if you have a lot of requests and complications to your schedule. Support is there, but if you're someone who wants to do it themselves, it can take a bit of fiddling with to get the software to do what you want.

A Grand Slam!

Kommentare: Our league runs like clockwork. Every team, coach, player and parent has benefited from our use of Diamond Scheduler. We simply could not have a new season without it.

Vorteile:

Diamond Scheduler is both powerful and flexible. As a volunteer coordinator for a large Little League, I searched for many seasons before I found this god send software. It was so easy go install and get going. I thought our situation was complex, but the software seemed to anticipate every one of our many oddball needs. And the one time I was stumped, I contacted customer support and got my answer back very quickly. I’m so impressed. We got every other league to get it too.

Nachteile:

Not a complaint but because it is so powerful, I was intimidated thinking I would have to use every feature. But no, I just use what I need. But the rest is there should my needs change.

Diamond Scheduler

Kommentare: Diamond Scheduler helped bridge the gap with scheduling in other programs. It was straightforward to use and the support while learning and using the program was excellent.

Vorteile:

Fabulous technical support and assistance.

Nachteile:

The interface with other software was cumbersome.

Easiest software I could find!

Kommentare: We've been using this software to schedule almost 100 teams in 5 different divisions in a League that all play out of the same rinks. Been using it almost 10 years and over the years, Rep was open to suggestions about how to tweak it to work with who hosts our League web/scheduling. I have recommended it to many other Leagues over the years. Absolutely the best I could find and rep is awesome for support!

Vorteile:

The ability to tailor the schedules to the teams and available ice times, and the support from rep is second to none!

Nachteile:

In the beginning, the export of the schedule files were not compatible for uploading to Goalline , but I asked rep and he was able to change it so that now it is a simple process!

Vorteile:

The support is second to none, Thing can get complicated, how ever the email support is answered quickly and politely. many different scenarios can arise and the scheduler seems to be able to handle them or make them work

Nachteile:

it can get a little complicated, until you figure out how it all works. some times it take time to learn how to down load to your website.

Diamond Scheduler Biggest Fan

Vorteile:

There is an easy wizard to use to upload files and setup the league schedule.

Nachteile:

Thus far no cons with the software, any issues we worked with the vendor and they had the ability to accommodate what we were looking to do.

The best support for the scheduling dummy!

Kommentare: I use Sportsengine who sold me on the ease of their program - and that they were adding a scheduler. Well they have not so far. But the Diamond Scheduler fits right in like a well made jigsaw.

Vorteile:

Once the basic data entry has been undertaken the scheduler does a great job. Much better than my previous use of the Gotsoccer program. The customer service is outstanding. Called or emailed back in minutes and I am on the East Coast and the representative is based on the West.

Nachteile:

I've now done six seasons of games for my adult league using Diamond Scheduler. There are a couple of steps that if you miss them will slow you down. But once you get the hang of it, it makes your life so much easier.

Vorteile:

Scheduling is difficult and Diamond Scheduler makes it a lot easier. Its interface is easy to use and it solves and caters for complex scheduling problems/desires. Lots of great output options and integrated nicely with SportsEngine. Support for me was great.

Nachteile:

I cannot think of any real cons. software works as expected for me and support is great.

The Best Tech Support for the Best Sports Scheduling Product

Kommentare: Diamond Scheduler is a sports scheduling software. I use it with SquadFusion which is a sports league management software.

Vorteile:

Everyone knows that Diamond Scheduler is the best sports scheduling software. When we had issues with the software addressing our needs, the manufacturer made changes to accomodate us. When was the last time you heard of a software manufacturer being that supportive?

Nachteile:

It appears that you require me to say something negative so my comment is that it would be handy if he lived next door so I could see him personally. Other than that, this software and the support were awesome!!!

Gorge Soccer Experience With Diamond

Kommentare: Fantastic. The program is great, and I cannot express enough how much I value CSR's customer support.

Vorteile:

The streamline with TeamSnap, the functions and filters you can apply to schedules. CSR's customer support has been PHENOMENAL.

Nachteile:

Was a bit hard to get started with, just because of all the functions you can use - so it was a bit overwhelming, but after a couple schedules generated, it is now easy.

Love but always room for improvement

Vorteile:

That is integrates with with SportsEngine. And customer service is amazing. The players love seeing their schedules on their phone.

Nachteile:

That you can’t update scores or make schedule changes in DS and then just upload to SE. But do love mass scoring option in SE. When entering exceptions to team calendars in blocks of time vs everyday. For example if their schedule is the same Mon-Thurs you could select that block vs having to enter the same info for each day.
