Great service with simple API setup

Kommentare: The easy-to-use API and webhooks enable our organization to process hundreds of background checks automatically. We would not be able to run at the scale we are without this ability.

Vorteile:

Being able to configure webhooks directly in the dashboard makes it a snap to connect Checkr to external Applicant Tracking Systems. This makes implementation possible even in low- or no-code organizations.

Nachteile:

Some of the reports and background check results can be difficult to interpret. Thankfully customer service walked us through all of it.

Great choice for Planning Center integration

Vorteile:

We use this as an integration with Planning Center to background check our many volunteers. It is quick and easy to use. I like that it provides an estimate of when the background check will be completed, allows you to cancel the invitation, and provides tags to filter the information for easy budget tracking.

Nachteile:

The thing I wish they would change most is remove lines that contain cancelled invitations. It is a waste of space. I would also like to see the tags as a column on the Candidates page.

Horrible company for background checks

Vorteile:

There is nothing I like about the software system called checkr

Nachteile:

What I don't like, is everything about it. It's timing of completing background checks takes FOREVER. Took over 6 weeks to complete a bg check on me for Amazon flex only for my account to be deactivated because of the time it took.

Great product!!

I like everything about it, I haven't had any bad experiences using it.

Review for Checkr

Kommentare: I love it and I want to always be using it whenever I have to run a background check.

Vorteile:

The big thing is that Checkr integrates with Greenhouse. It makes running and keeping track of these checks easy without having to hop into another system for tracking.

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything, everything is super great and support has been helpful.

Easy to Use

Vorteile:

I love that we can use Checkr through our ATS, Greenhouse.

Nachteile:

I have no complaints so far about using this service.

Absolutely HORRIBE Customer Support

NOTHING - Customer service is poor. Not able to speak with a live person.

I've been trying to reach someone at Checkr and the support is horrible. I run a company and need a reliable agency to provide services. I'll be looking elsewhere.

Great software for conducting background checks

Kommentare: Overall, its an awesome platform to integrate with your system for performing the hard manual work of doing background checks online.

Vorteile:

Checkr provides a list of properly documented APIs which can be easily integrated with your system for performing background checks. The results shared by the APIs can then be used for making a decision on the candidate based on the background checks

Nachteile:

Not much wrong about this software. It integrated nicely with your systems and for any issues which arise in integration, the customer can help you out for resolving those.

Wonderful to do background verification hassle free

Kommentare: Awesome experience. No paper work, any time results, more to digitialization, no need to store verification forms physically for future use prospective.

Vorteile:

With this amazing software, can do background verification online. Saves time and more accurate. Just need to fill some basic information and required information is just a click away.

Nachteile:

This is a new concept however not so popular. Need marketing of this.

User friendly program for background screening

Vorteile:

When we started employing people and had to do background screening, we were worried about what program to use; luckily another business owner recommended this so we proceeded with this and we love it! It's easy to use and provides all the information we need for a reasonable price.

Nachteile:

We are very content; nothing negative about this!

Checkr has been a great asset to our ministry

Vorteile:

Integration with Planning Center, ease of use, ability to track the status of background process or if one is expired.

Nachteile:

I wish we could add context to the initial email so that our volunteers know that it is coming from our organization and to be clear on what information we check and that we are using Checkr for our volunteers not for a job application. This has caused some confusion lately.

Background checks made easy!

Kommentare: It's been great overall! Definitely easier to use than other companies we've worked with in the past and the system keeps track of when re-checks are needed, which is super helpful and much more clear to us to keep us on track! Billing is straightforward and easy to change if needed. We're on autopay so it's easy peasy each month!

Vorteile:

We switched from a different company last year and started using Checkr. It works SO much easier with our current organization software (Church Community Builder). From setting up an account, to adding users, to requesting background checks and tracking in the CCB system, it's super easy. Background checks are usually super quick to get results from. And the cost is a little cheaper than the company we used before!

Nachteile:

We don't necessarily know all of the features that are available to us. Cost breakdown wasn't easy to find on the account website. Sometimes it's hard to find answers on the help section for what we're looking for. We just usually need general background checks for our volunteers and also employees and that's really it. I see there's more features in Checkr that we need to probably research and make sure we're utilizing things to our fullest so we will do that! For the basic needs we have, Checkr has been easy to use and the customer service is quick to respond and help when we have questions.

High reviews from companies, awful reviews from candidates

Kommentare: I've never had such a terrible onboarding experience before for a background check. I've done background checks and developed vetting before but this company has the worst experience as a candidate. They frequently pause the check to "request information" but the portal does not have a clear explanation of what they need. Questions are responded to with autoreplies, or responses that ignore the question entirely. Example: I emailed them to ask why my employment references were not complete (they had been completed last week). They ignored the question and told me they needed to verify a totally different thing and had been waiting for me to take action. There was no indicator in the portal or anywhere else that they expected action to be taken, so if I hadn't contacted them I would have presumably missed my start date with my company. The ramifications both for my new employer's business and my own ability to make rent would have been huge, and it was barely averted. Employers: look elsewhere, check the reviews on TP or other sites where you'll see candidates regularly mentioning horror stories with this site. I'm shocked they're still in business

Vorteile:

Checkr is meant to automate the process of background checks by having a useful and easy-to-access portal for users to upload their documents and check the progress of their background check.

Nachteile:

Despite the portal looking great, the major flaw with this company is their lack of communication, terrible customer service and reliance on auto-replies which suggests a company that doesn't care about candidates.

My personal review

Kommentare: My over all experience for the Checkr is Very helpful in a way to determine the most important details of the applicant and I am satisfied on it's service.

Vorteile:

for me the most impactful on this software is it's very reliable in terms of knowing the important details of the applicant. It's very impactful on both parties for the security of both applicants and the company. I am really impress on the developers.

Nachteile:

There are times when the background check takes too long. for me that's the least I can review for this software and it's part of a process and I am still like it no matter what.

Best Background Check Software

Kommentare: We had an outdated program to run background checks with, but it was slow, pricey, and not very reliable. It was also not integrated to any other program, so once the results were out, they could be lost and we would have to pay all over again. Checkr solves all this and more. I am so excited to be using this program now.

Vorteile:

This software was instantly my preferred choice because of its ability to integrate with our Planning Center and People software. I was easily able to run a background check on someone already in my database. It’s also a lot cheaper for the type of background check you’re getting than some other companies around. I was also impressed by the security measures it provides. You are able to choose between three packages, and you can opt for the more cost efficient one. However, if the person gets a hit, it will automatically run a more detailed check. Being that we are a church which lots of children, I appreciate it this measure a lot.

Nachteile:

The only thing I didn’t like was the mandatory email sent to the person getting a background check. As per our church policy, they have to fill out a form and sign consent. However, Checkr then sends a mandatory email, and it won’t perform the background check until the person in question accepts via email. This is a tad redundant for our purposes, and really slows down the process, so I do wish the email was optional. However, everything else was a easy and straight forward.

Great for Paylocity!

Vorteile:

I like how Checkr integrates with Paylocity - creating less steps and automating the process.

Nachteile:

Contacting Checkr is not immediate, there is not a phone number to call for immediate assistance. It would be beneficial to set up either a plan contact or a monitored phone line for immediate questions - especially if we are in a time crunch and need to have some information. The majority of the time (with employment verifications) there are sections incomplete even if they were able to get ahold of the employer, like the end date for example. The last thing is their ability to override or cancel out a section of the background that isn't necessary after requesting it. For example, if someone accidentally inputs their education incorrectly because they didnt complete a degree - it should be as easy as a click of a button to override the process and mark it as completed after they receive the information that it was input incorrectly and the documentation was sent.

Integral part of our onboarding process!

Kommentare: We used to use Pre-Employ. Hands down, Checkr is a much better product and has made the background check process so much easier!

Vorteile:

Background checks are made easy with Checkr! Very user friendly and results normally come pretty quickly. Dashboard is well designed and keeps the user up to date. Love the "Request Story" feature built in to engage candidate when flagged. Also appreciate the pre and adverse action notices as well.

Nachteile:

At this time, we don't really have anything to note.

Checkr fits our needs very well

Checkr is easy to use, has fast turn around and is compatible with Paylocity making it easy for hiring managers to push out the background checks themselves.

Nachteile:

When someone has to go in and manually verify their social security number or information it takes too long for the turn around on these cases.

Vorteile:

The background check process is very easy with our integration of Checkr and Paylocity, just a couple clicks and the candidate background check has started.

Nachteile:

I would like the background check results to be accessible through Paylocity so we would not have to access Checkr.

Checkr Review

Kommentare: Background checks are being done much quicker & more efficiently now. Makes it less of a hassle for those having to complete one also with it being done through email instead of on paper.

Vorteile:

It integrates with Planning Center & makes it easy for us to start a check & let Checkr do the rest of the work for us. Seems to be very thorough & quick turnaround time. I love that it stores everything for us so we don't have a ton of files laying around with sensitive info in them.

Nachteile:

Notifications are touch & miss. Sometimes I get an email that it cleared & sometimes I don't. Seems like. the ones stating someone needs looked at closer or considered never come through.

Owners…beware-no customer service

Kommentare: Although your backgrounds do come back in a timely fashion, your customer service is horribly lacking owners. Beware, I have found multiple incidences where I have been charged for fictitious employees.

Vorteile:

Although it is easily paired with clear care of the customer service is highly lacking.

Nachteile:

I have called and emailed over the span of 3 1/2 weeks. I have spent 3 1/2 hours of labor hours trying to get information regarding my cost. This is absolutely ridiculous.!!

Easy & Intuitive!

Vorteile:

Extremely flexible, leading edge technology. Their product and services are more complex and customizable than those offered by competitors.

Nachteile:

There is a bit of a learning curve with new products such as Assess but the customer success team is a great resource to help navigate that.

Checkr - easiest background check provider

Kommentare: This is my second company that has used Checkr and I'm a huge fan!

Vorteile:

Checkr is very easy to use. Once you have the types of reports you'd like to use set up in the system, all you need to do is add your candidate's email address to launch a search. The communication to our candidate's is clear and timely and the best feature is the report comes back quickly!

Nachteile:

I rarely need customer support but when needed, it's only via email and response times can take a bit.
