It was easily integrated, customer support was apparent for questions and solutions.
Difficult for multiple child families to sign up and purchase. Difficult for us as business owner for multiple child families to use also.

MyStudio - Great Tool for any any School
Kommentare: [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and his team have been fantastic. Like any other software or apps, there are bugs but they work with you each and every step.
Vorteile:
I like that it allows my students to access curriculum, events etc. One of the biggest plusses is that [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and his team are always building and making it better.
Nachteile:
That there is a little back-end work. There are some features that other CRM have that MyStudio does not have, but that's ok. For the price and the functionality of MyStudio, hands-down winner.

Customizable app for my business - Ability to have members register themselves for events and programs - push notifications and texts to members
Nachteile:
It's not yet connected to Quickbooks. I wish they would get that done ASAP!
Amazing Idea that falls short
Kommentare: MyStudio has not solved any of my problems. In the times that I have emailed or chatted with customer service, I have had to create my own "work around" to solve my issues. Unfortunately, the list of issues continues to grow and I find myself looking elsewhere for a better product.
Vorteile:
I love the events and the ability to upload curriculum.
Nachteile:
The features regarding the data base have much to be desired. Users are able to change their information, therefore making it difficult for my staff to contact them (the users frequently erase their own phone numbers when signing up for events). It's also time consuming to create customized reports/student lists... there are no customized templates for such things. The leadership seems to have their own agenda and not that of the customers. I have several friends who are moving on to similar apps which, in my opinion, "listen to the needs of the customer."

Game Changer
Kommentare: My studio was a game changer for our 21-year-old business. We have tried many software programs over the years, and really enjoyed our last one and the simplicity of it, but it struggled in the bookkeeping department. I was spending too much time every weekend trying to get the proper numbers to our CPA. This company turned my emotionally stressed weekends into a FREE weekend to enjoy life as they have all the numbers done for you. It is now simple to give to my CPA. Bonus: The students really enjoy the simplicity of the app and access to all events for planning purposes. The simplicity has allowed us to grow with less effort on our part in filling our events. Overall, I am so grateful and blessed that I found this program.
Vorteile:
I love the analytics, so I can see at all times where my company is at with ease. I also like the simple sign up process for members and non members. Our events fill up quicker and we are blessed with many non members that come to our events to try our program with my studio software.
Nachteile:
There are some things that is not easy to adjust in the software, but I know the product is getting better each year. Sometimes learning some of the opportunities that it offers, can be challenging, but once you learn how to do them you have another growth opportunity.

MyStudio provides an all in one solution for a member app, communication pathways, billing processing, membership management, event scheduling, member resources, attendance tracking, rank progression, and more.
Nachteile:
The MyStudio website could be improved as we do not use it. We have a website built through Wix.
Works for just starting out
Kommentare: Have used my studio two separate times in the past 6 years and have left for other softwares each time because they just don’t have the functions to help run the businesss and lack in important areas

Initially the simplicity of the software and the layout of the system

There constantly seems to be bugs or glitches to work out, it costs extra to send emails and texts using the software, you aren’t able to sign up more than one user at once unless you pay extra, the attendance aspect is minimal at best and doesn’t provide details about students
There will never be a perfect CRM.
Kommentare: In the beginning they moved very quickly in updating things that customers requested, adding features and developments, and making adjustments as needed. They seem to have slowed some since then.
Vorteile:
I love the app, and the ease of use for families. Information for my staff is clear and accessible.
Nachteile:
There is no way to mark orders from "Unfulfilled" to "Ordered" to "Fulfilled". We do a lot of special orders, it would be nice to have the option to mark items as "Ordered". I have requested several times. Also, we need the ability to track stripes as well as attendances. Our students are required to get stripes to graduate. Parents need to be able to see attendance and stripes in the app. Also, we need to be able to clear attendance after graduation for anyone who did not test or graduate.

MyStudio is a critical element in our business operations and success
Kommentare: Keeps client info safe and easy to access for staff. App has been great for having clients register for ongoing classes and programs. It has also helped with keeping accurate attendance which helps us with retention, we know exactly which students we need to reach out to and get them back in classes.
Vorteile:
Software is easy and intuitive to use. Customer service is always available to support and answer questions. All of my staff can use which keeps things running smoothly.
Nachteile:
It would be great if Apple or Google pay was an option. It would also be great if we could add clients in and charge a drop in rather than having them download app etc. We sometimes get out of town visitors and they just want to walk in and pay and not have to go through downloading app, setup etc.

Hi Anna, Thank you for your review and for the feedback! In regards to your desire to be able to have people pay without downloading an app -- you can absolutely do that now :) Everything you sell has a unique URL that you can just text/email to someone - no app needed! You can find those URLs in each respective module in your control panel. You can also charge drop ins, sign people up right at the Point of Sale. Love the MyStudio App
Kommentare: It was easy to learn and adapt to our Studio. We converted everyone over with in 1 month, and integrated with our website using "Frames". Super Easy!
Vorteile:
Very helpful to manage my student base and the payments for my members. And allows for them to sign up for membership, classes, events, everything within the App
Nachteile:
The only thing it doesn't do for me s to integrate with my current Testing Sheet format and to keep a master list of my students testing ranks. We are just used to an old system in excel.
Great customer app
Kommentare: Great experience. Easy for customers to use and so far easy for me to see things on the back end.
Vorteile:
Very user friendly. They do not need to go through too much on the back end to register for our memberships.
Nachteile:
When customers register through the app and they have multiple siblings, they need to go through the registration multiple times
Best investment I’ve spent
Kommentare: MyStudio has been amazing. I would have spent so much extra money and time if I had not given this software a try.
Vorteile:
Once set up, MyStudio makes my life so much easier! Keeping track of ranks/ promotions is a breeze, the app is amazing, the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, billing is so easy, you can just focus on your classes and not worry about your software.
Nachteile:
The initial set up took some time and was tedious, but it was all worth it in the end. As far as getting your app published on the App Store and Google play, I think Mystudio has since made some changes to make it easier and they do some of the work for you.

Nachteile:
Its not intuitive or particularly user friendly. Updates and new aspects come out often but I feel left behind by them. I just don't have time to relearn the software.

Kommentare: I’m very happy to switch over from Zen Planner which was feature rich but overly complicated and had a dated and clunky user interface. The best part of MyStudio is that I can copy paste links for enrollment and retail purchase links into texts to my customers, they love it, we love it!
Vorteile:
MyStudio has a clean and modern web based interface. There is a minimal buttons to learn while providing all the features necessary for martial arts enrollment management.
Nachteile:
I would prefer the ability to speak directly to support or correspond via email as opposed to chat. I haven’t figured out if there are tutorial videos to learn about features that I am not yet familiar with such as automations and the CRM. We are currently using Market Muscles integrated (provides website opt in lead information)with Go High Level as our CRM… I would be interested in using MyStudio as my CRM but I need the capability to schedule and track appointments for new students and automated lead nurturing… the way I have it setup now, the website directs the prospect to a google calendar appointments page (provides by Go High Level) where they can schedule their own first free class
MyStudio has SAVED our studio
Kommentare: Overall exerience is: It SAVED our studio during COVID. They treat you like a person not a number and make things individualized and TRULY care about their customers. They truly get to know you and your needs and WANT to see you succeed.
Vorteile:
MyStudio has made the enrollment process a simple click of a few buttons. The app is so user friendly that ALL parents/students can use. There isn't any hidden surprises or fees or anything... the buyer feels comfortable in what they are enrolling in and what the prices are. What used to jam up our studio enrolling people took an extra employee dedicated to it and at least an hour every night to do so. NOW I don't have to have the extra employee and I can concentrate on instruction of students without distratction.
Nachteile:
Sometimes I don't like that things are ever changing and developing and I have to learn the "new" way to do it, but honestly..... it's just me not the software. MyStudio simply changes things because they are ever improving and LISTENING to their customer and the needs and wishes.

Great Product
Kommentare: Great so far. It was vital to have it during the pandemic.
Vorteile:
I like the attendance feature the most. During the pandemic we had to get rid of "attendance cards". No everyone gets checked in with very little issues. I also like the event and membership registration capabilities.
Nachteile:
Glitches occasionally. One time I couldn't check anyones attendance for 3 days straight. Also loading time takes way to long even though we have fast internet. Email cpabilities are very basic. I would like more synching with mail chimp. They feel like a billing company, but they are not. We have to do a lot of money chasing when a client doesn't pay.

Kommentare: The customer service at myStudio has been great, they can't always fix the things I want, but they always try really hard to! They are very responsive and good at keeping me in the loop on bug and feature requests I put in. I always feel like my opinion on requests is valued and that they are a company eager to learn from their customers.
Vorteile:
I used to have everyone write me a check, give me cash, Venmo me, etc every month. Even when that was only 5 students or so in my early days, it was always such a hassle to collect on time from everyone. I now have over 50 students and I'm still growing, and I couldn't imagine trying to keep track of the logistics for so many people without myStudio. With myStudio, signing up is a breeze, students are automatically transferred from trial rates to full membership rates after a month, retail purchases are easy and self service, and we can even keep all our curriculum readily at hand for them to help practice from the app at home.
Nachteile:
I still think the back end could use several improvements, that I am eagerly awaiting. I'd love to see the all program members view let me customize which columns it display for my participants. I'd also love some sort of integration between myStudio and Wix which I use for our monthly newsletter.

Great choice for today's consumer
Kommentare: MyStudio is fantastic! If you have an issue or suggestion, they listen. They simply respond. Many features are evolving, and taken together they make a great experience for the school owner and customers. Highly recommended.
Vorteile:
Customer payment automation removes the burden of chasing money. And the customer has so much control over how and when to spend.
Nachteile:
(My school is extremely small so I don't think I have a great feel for the minuses.) I've recently taken advantage of their website feature. It's a great idea but has a way to go. There's no visitor statistics reporting so you're blind as to what pages were visited, which page the visitor left the site, etc. There's not a way yet to add content to help traffic. Also, the email system implementation has the issue of the sent emails' return address being useless, not your school's email address. So, one can't simply reply to the email and reach the school.

Outstanding Product
Vorteile:
MyStudio gave my business an app to allow my clients to stay in touch and learn more about my business all in one place. The ability to schedule for classes has been incredibly helpful during COVID restrictions and I plan to continue that process regularly.
Nachteile:
It is frustrating sometimes trying to update the app through Apple. Having to log into a developer account and enter information makes me nervous. MyStudio does a good job with step-by-step instructions and I understand it is Apple's requirement.

Good ideas poorly executed
Kommentare: Good for the price. Developers need to spend more time making the current features smoother to operate before adding new features.
Vorteile:
The platform has been getting much better over time. The ability to merge accounts is a great new feature.
Nachteile:
Slow loading. Counter intuitive operation. Lack of options for modifying programs and payments. Transferring members between programs requires a payment to be made even if transferring to a program of the same value.

Great for users, a bit challenging at times for admins
Kommentare: We were a single unit user and then joined an organization that used the software so we chose to migrate our information over to the new organization’s format. There were some major challenges. It was eventually all corrected but not without the frustrations. Spent way too much time in the process.
Vorteile:
The initial start up cost is relatively inexpensive. Setting up payments to pass on credit card fees was a game changer. They are continuing updating features.
Nachteile:
Everything on the back end needs to be done on the website. Formatting is challenging. Merging accounts is not that simple. Sometimes email campaigns once set up doesn’t send so you have to redo the email message.

Best Software we have used!
Kommentare: Overall - this is the best software we have ever used and they keep coming up with more updates and upgrades.
Vorteile:
Integration was SEAMLESS! This has always been the most difficult in using a new software but MS makes it easy. You can customize memberships and events to your liking so it is very flexible as well.
Nachteile:
I am not very tech savvy so for me some things are not self-explanatory just by logging in but I believe it is because of the advanced options of this software. If i'm every unsure, I just reach out to the Customer Service team and they answer all of my questions!

Kommentare: Settling into MyStudio has taken time to get used to and the software continues to evolve for the better. It has allowed our business to save money and simplify our software.

Ability to save money as we grow our business and it has a clean look.
Nachteile:
Onboarding was a lengthy process and took several months. Glitches here and there that required workarounds. However, the support team is always responsive and MyStudio has done a great job at helping.

The software is a one stop shop for dojo management and billing. Perfect for the new school owner and experienced like.
Nachteile:
Opting people out of communications is difficult on the administrative end.

Perfect for Running Martial Arts Schools
Vorteile:
The essential KPIs (leads, trials, memberships, gross sales) are in your face every day! In order to run my school effectively, I need to be able to see the necessary data with ease, and MyStudio does that! I love that the company continues to listen to its everyday users, and MyStudio continues to upgrade its platform.
Nachteile:
Like all CRMs, MyStudio has a bit of a learning curve. Once you familiarize yourself with its systems, you are able to perform administrative tasks intuitively and efficiently.

I like having one place that the parents can go to find out information and register for events etc.
Nachteile:
All of the updates have made it time consuming and difficult to operate and maintain customer information. Customer service used to answer quickly and Im finding more an more I have to wait for a reply in a chat box for 20 min or more. : ( I used to recommend the software and app to everyone. it's been over 6 months since i've done that.
