great if you don't have a data engineer

Kommentare: Very good for our use case. We don't have a data engineer and want to transfer data from few places into BigQuery

Vorteile:

very easy to set up. Covers 95% of cases and with python you can cover another 4%... just 1% left that you can do at source or destination.

Nachteile:

lack CI/CD tools to do infra as code. Hard (if even possible) to back it up. Not useful logs.

Hevo sets up in minutes and is worth every penny!!

Kommentare: Bar none the best customer support I have ever received at any price level. I would pay 10x the price tag and still feel like we won.

Vorteile:

The built in database/system connectors and simple GUI interface made it simple to have running in minutes.

Nachteile:

We have had a small learning curve bringing query models into Hevo. Nothing crazy and we Hevo support (chat engineers) has almost instantaneous response times.

Good product for small data sets

Kommentare: Their customer support team is great with quick turnaround time.

Vorteile:

Easy to setup and no/low code approach is what works for someone just starting with Data engineering.

Nachteile:

reliability has been a concern with Hevo with downtimes, bugs, corner cases and missed events. It doesn't seem to work well at scale.

Hevo's ease of use and support

Kommentare: My experience with Hevo has been great so far. I'm able to setup most connectors on my own but when I run into trouble, they're right there to help out!

Vorteile:

The GUI is very user-friendly and the support has been great! When setting up a connector, the tips on the right-hand side of the screen are fantastic. For instance, when setting up a new destination in Snowflake, the script to create the role, database, etc are supplied there. You just have to change the names. I've reached out to their support team a few times now. The chat box is helpful to get started and they're very responsive. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for an initial response. If the case escalates, the response is equally impressive. The answers are clear and they're extremely friendly.

Nachteile:

It took me awhile to figure out how to change the destination table when using an API. It defaults to the table name 'API', which isn't helpful when you're setting up multiple API feeds to the same destination. Once I figured out how to do it though, it wasn't a problem.

One step solution for end-to-end Data transfer

Kommentare: As a product analyst we signed up for a free trial of Hevo and finds the onboarding process to be straightforward. We used the built-in connectors to connect their data sources to Hevo and create a data pipeline that transfers data from their sources to their data warehouse in real-time. I appreciates Hevo's user-friendly dashboard, automated error handling, and ability to customize and monitor data transfer. After a few weeks of using Hevo, we have noticed a significant improvement in our team's ability to consolidate and analyze data, enabling us to generate reports and insights more quickly and accurately, leading to better business decisions.

Vorteile:

Simple and Intuitive Interface : Way too easy to use .Seamless Integration with Multiple Sources : Integration with almost every possible tool. Real-time Data Transfer.Automated Error Handling and Also showing where the pipeline is failing and what is the reason behind it.

Nachteile:

Data transformation needs to have some helping tutorial . Appending data and taking whole data snapshot should have some toggle.

Hevo Data saved us

Vorteile:

Hevo Data saved our company in more ways than one. For the bi-directional Hubspot features alone, this tool is worth the cost for us, hands-down. We were able to pull all of our Hubspot data into our data warehouse, annotate, and push back to custom properties and objects. The tool worked so well, we began using it as the core ETL connector for our data lake, and are testing as our scheduled task manager for the core transformations for our data warehouse. The pricing model has worked out well for us. The free trial to prototype how the thing works, and how we could be efficient with our usage of connectors, has also been wonderful.

Nachteile:

THe list of connectors is really good, but not 100% where we wish. In addition, migrations from one tool to another (e.g. Intercom -> Hubspot) require us to do a bunch of manual mapping that is hard; other tools have these mappings canned and are therefore easier to use for that use-case.

Hevo - The best EtLT and ELT tool

Kommentare: overall my experience is good, we are ingesting data with fb ads, and google adsense, and instagram and salesforce

Vorteile:

i really like the nice and easy UI to setup pipeline, apart from it I really like their schema mapper function also the latest transformation drag and drop UI

Nachteile:

I don't like that they don't do data qc or do not provide feature to setup data quality rules like glue and databricks does

Hevo: a great solution for all sizes of companies for all data pipeline and data management needs.

Ease of use, flexible, ability to query data and push the processed data into the warehouse, making all data pipeline needs completely customizable.

Nachteile:

Sometimes has bugs which cause errors in pipelines, but their customer service is impeccable, and they literally respond in as little as minutes to solve your problem immediately.

It is quite expensive per row so the quality of the support really matters.

Hevo is a critical in connecting data sources across the org with each other and our warehouse!

Vorteile:

We have multiple pipelines and connections with almost every piece of software across our organization. Hevo makes it possible for us to keep everything up to date and helps to centralize our reporting by brining current data into our warehouse for day to day analysis and reporting.

Nachteile:

We have very few problems with Hevo. If we have any trouble it's almost always related to our usage limits.

Excellent Data Pipeline

Kommentare: It was very easy to sign up and set up Facebook to BigQuery. The user UI is easy to use and step-by-step instructions are included. You don't need a dev to get things moving as long as you're passingly familiar with Facebook and BigQuery and can read directions.

Vorteile:

I used Hevo to pipeline data from Facebook into Big Query. The service worked as expected and properly transferred my data. It was one of several services I evaluated for our data pipeline needs.

Nachteile:

I had some integration needs that HEVO did not include, so I had to go with another provider who included those. Otherwise, HEVO was amongst my top choices.

Making Data Simple

Vorteile:

Ease of use: Hevo's UI is very intuitive and easy to learn. With couple of clicks we can easily build scalable pipelines. Data Transformations: We can write our transformations in python. Hevo also provides out of the box flattening of complex nested json which is very handy while building Mongo pipelines. Quick and efficient Support: Hevo Support team are quite reachable and always ready to help us solving critical bugs and errors.

Nachteile:

Alerting could be much more precise and intelligent.

Seamless ETL

Vorteile:

Hevo is extremely user friendly and very seamless. Data pipelines can be set in a matter of a few clicks. Our business users are extremely happy with all the data at their disposal for any analysis that they need to do. Hevo's support is very prompt and always available to answer your queries.

Nachteile:

When we had started using Hevo 2 years ago, there were only a few sources available. However, I see more and more new sources getting added every month.

Simple to set up and great customer support

Vorteile:

As an ETL, you couldn't ask an easier tool to set up and test than Hevo. This is great for quickly checking if it'll work for your goals. All processes are transparent and if something seems amiss you can get a handle of a very helpful customer support quickly.

Nachteile:

There are some advance features for data handling that seem to be still in development. Overall, it might not be the tool for you if you have a very strict or complicated workflow.

Hevo - Budget Friendly Option

Kommentare: Able to get the data I want, in the format I want, to do the business analysis required

Vorteile:

Extremely Budget friendly, many connector s and destinations, easy to use and good support

Nachteile:

Sometimes, the transformations from the raw connectors can be a bit confusing and it requires heavy understanding of the source. But that's expected.
