Vorteile:

I've been through several major software transitions during my time as a manager at Fortune 500 companies, so I knew how important choosing a management software would be. Carestack has been supportive, actively engaged, and willing to push out new features based on our feedback. Their support team is extremely responsive, and their innovation driven mindset has created significant value for our locations

Nachteile:

Just like anything, you get out of it what you put into it. Spending the necessary time up front to ensure that the functionality was there for our needs was a big lift, but it ultimately paid off.

Vorteile:

easy to use. supportive team members, the migration process was organized really well.

Nachteile:

Setting up the software. the migration process should make it easier for codes, and clinical notes to be migrated without having to do all the legwork ourselves.

If I have an issue, they try every way possible to fix it immediately.

Nachteile:

Very difficult to understand in the beginning. Too many steps to do one thing.

Kommentare: Carestack has a great customer service with a robust reporting software. Sometimes it definitely gets overwhelming so I would highly recommend they should simplify the process.

Kommentare: it was kind, personal, dedicated care by teams that got to know me, my clinic and my staff personally. They are responsive, precise, and highly professional.

Vorteile:

it is extermely user friendly, ability to integrate with multiple programs to simplify work, communications, billing, anesthesia monitoring and radiology.

Nachteile:

initially there were few photos that are generic and attached to treatment plans that were not as accurate, these were removed when requested.

Kommentare: I’m so happy to have chosen Carestack. Taking the leap into ownership has been very nerve wracking, and choosing to use practice management / EHR software I wasn’t familiar with was even crazier. Every step of the way, there have been people so willing to help and so eager to help me succeed. They don’t leave you out to dry after you’ve signed the contract. The software has been great thus far and I really feel that I made the right choice in partnering w Carestack.

A great system for great practices

Kommentare: I wasn't the biggest fan at first, but after being on several meetings with [sensitive content hidden] and learning the ins and outs of the program, I'm super happy with it. I love how it's genuinely set up to make things easier on us.

I like how accessible the help is. There are so many resources at our disposal to learn the system!

I think at first, carestack is very intimidating. It seems overwhelming if you don't understand fully how to navigate.

Cloud Based Dental Software

Vorteile:

I appreciate that CareStack is cloud based allowing me to access my schedule at home.

Nachteile:

CareStack tries to accomplish too much on any given page. It is not user friendly, and you must have instruction to use it. The fact that I have to right click and select "view dental chart" to open a patient's chart is ridiculous. Why make it so many steps?! Just let me double click on the appointment to open the chart! CareStack caters to front office while leaving the providers in the dust. As a provider, my time is limited and valuable with each patient - why create so many obstacles when trying to complete a task? The redundancy is not appreciated and the user flow is ambiguous.

Pros and cons of Carestack

Kommentare: Overall, I think customer service is great. That is why I kept Carestack. If your representatives are not friendly and helpful, I would've changed softwares. I really think the problem with MiCamp is a BIG headache. And I am disappointed that Carestack is not following up with that.

Vorteile:

Able to send insurance electronically. Able to send text message and emails to patients for recalls, appointment reminders, campaigns, etc. Customer service is good--keep it up! Most of the employees are knowledgable and friendly. I've had a few who didn't know they were doing and was kept on hold very long. So I would recommend to have your newer customer service rep be a little more knowledgable before putting them in charge of customer service.

Nachteile:

Currently, I don't like and very unhappy with how MiCamp works. They are very slow, shady, and unprofessional. They have charged me $499/year--I don't think any merchant services company I've worked in the past (e.g. Elavon) has charge me an annual fee (and I was told about the annual fee AFTER I signed up with Carestack). Carestack keeps on saying, "You have to deal with MiCamp because they have their own rules"--but Carestack is that one that recommended MiCamp. When I was deciding if I should sign up with CareStack or Easy Dental or other software companies, Carestack made it sound like MiCamp will work with the patient portal without any problem--which is one of the main reason why I chose Carestack. I've had Carestack for over a year now, and MiCamp and Carestack are still saying, "we are working on the patient portal"--but I really don't know when or if it's going to work...

User friendly and Easy to use!

Kommentare: Overall, it’s been pretty positive! There have been a few things that confused me or that I didn’t understand, but the Support team has been very helpful in answering my questions.

Vorteile:

As an administrator, Carestack is so much easier to look at and use than other products I’ve used. It’s clean and modern and was very easy for me to pick up despite never having used it before. I love all the analytics and reports, and how easy it is to get from one section of a patient’s account to another.

Nachteile:

I am a little disappointed that I can’t easily see appointment changes within the appointment. Perhaps this is just a feature I haven’t discovered, but in Dentrix I could see a list of modifications to the appointment, like if an appointment had been moved from a different column or time. The history of status changes is important, but also once an appointment is cancelled, I lose access to that history it seems unless it saved to the Memo.

Awesome Patient Management Software

Kommentare: The ability to run custom reports to help us manage our patient care and schedules is first rate. I have used most all dental softwares available and Carestack is the best by far!

Vorteile:

The ease of use coupled with the ability to personalize the interface makes it the easiest software I have used as a clinician. Being cloud based is also definitely a bonus!

Nachteile:

Sometimes we have issues after updates or when the internet is disrupted but those are minor and rare occurrences.

Vorteile:

I like how a lot of services are in one place. I can remind pts about appts, verify insurance, collect payments, etc in one place. Also, there is a lot of support, training videos and literature that I can access when needed.

Nachteile:

My implementation team made it very difficult for me to get the support I needed early on in the the process.

Vorteile:

I really like the user friendliness about it! It’s nice to be able to go home and do notes, look at the schedule, or make any changes on the schedule in the comfort of your home. Also, the program is easy to learn and adapt to. I LOVE that patients get text messages about their appts and how we can communicate with them through the software!

Nachteile:

I don’t like there are so many clicks that you have to do on the software.

Excited for the Future

Kommentare: My overall experience with CareStack has been great thus far! I’ve had the opportunity to network with other CareStack users and partners that have expanded my knowledge base.

Vorteile:

I love the fact that CareStack has features that scrub claims and remind you to add supporting documentation to ensure claims are approved and paid the first time. CareStack truly cares about their clients and provide a tremendous amount of educational tools and support to ensure success.

Nachteile:

During my trial, the system did have a slight glitch where I wasn’t able to save my test patient while learning how to navigate the software.

Kommentare: It is going good so far. It is a much newer software and it is clean looking and organized.

Vorteile:

It is user friendly. Has all the information and data you would need. Any reports, payments, can be pulled up and generated.

Nachteile:

There are too many different ways to get to the same place in the software. I'd prefer having one button that takes me to one place vs multiple buttons that take me to one place

Can utilize remotely, and multiple locations. And explosion codes.

Nachteile:

Insurance estimates have to be recalculated manually by staff, confirming tx plan fees are correct more often than usual.
