Vorteile:

I've been through several major software transitions during my time as a manager at Fortune 500 companies, so I knew how important choosing a management software would be. Carestack has been supportive, actively engaged, and willing to push out new features based on our feedback. Their support team is extremely responsive, and their innovation driven mindset has created significant value for our locations

Nachteile:

Just like anything, you get out of it what you put into it. Spending the necessary time up front to ensure that the functionality was there for our needs was a big lift, but it ultimately paid off.

Vorteile:

Our office switched to CareStack in Dec 2023. So far we are very pleased and its pretty intuitive. I have used many PMS in my 30+ years and this system has it all!

Nachteile:

When we switched over to CareStack our old software did not merge over. Not Carestack's fault. We were using a no name brand system :(

If I have an issue, they try every way possible to fix it immediately.

Very difficult to understand in the beginning. Too many steps to do one thing.

Kommentare: The CSM team after implementation, including our lead manager Abhishek, has made up for all for any roadblocks we may have had during the initial transition period from our old practice management software. The lead you through how to properly access your workflows and reporting to make sure you're taking advantage of all the new features of Carestack, which continue to expand. I've been impressed with the level of detail and care that the Customer Success team has shown to us on all of our calls and email correspondence.

Vorteile:

This is clearly a software made by a software company, not a dental supply company. They have the resources and team members to make updates and changes that are relevant, and you can even request changes with their development team.

Nachteile:

The switch from our previous management software was very time consuming for a private practice. Their sales team failed to mention that we have to convert over all the files for patient forms, note templates, etc. which we are still completing months later. Other online form providers have done this for us within implementation. This is a really big problem for trying to use all the features of CS, but not having it personalized with your documents unless you devote a lot of time. Note: we are an office with a multitude of very in depth forms, if you only have one set of forms for your patients, for example, this may not be as big of an issue.

Kommentare: As will all new software, I found there to be a learning curve. However, with the assistance of the training team and the support team it has gone very smoothly.

Vorteile:

I love all of the different report options. The information available on the reports is fantastic. I also love the availability of your support, the ease of which contacting support and receiving answers to our questions is outstanding.

Nachteile:

The only negative I have found is the inability to print from the TimeSheet screen.

Vorteile:

It's cloud based and has routine updates.

Nachteile:

Same issue with all digital software: It's easier to flip through paper to get a overview of a patient, but it takes more time to click on each note. Maybe with AI, there will be a summary feature down the road.

Vorteile:

I like the ability to truly customize the software to work for our pediatric dental office, without having to create a bunch of modifications and work arounds.

Nachteile:

It's still geared for general practices, not pediatric offices, but I have been pleased with CareStack's responsiveness to considering improvements for practices that operate like ours.

Kommentare: I have had a great experience with CareStack. Even when we run into any hiccups they are quick to help and the streamlined interface is easy to use even when they have updates it is quick to get used to. The team and customer care is quick, friendly and efficient. I have no issues. Would recommend 10/10

The ease of use and quick customer care responses when we have issues. We also utilize a lot of their team help and it has been a game changer.

Nachteile:

CareStack is the only Dental software I have personally used ever and for the last 5 years. I have not had any issues .

Kommentare: My experience with carestack so far is great.

Vorteile:

I like that once you get the hang of it is easier and there a hotline to call to get help if needed.

Nachteile:

That we have to type in and delete every code to app to an appointment instead of just pushing enter and then being able to enter the next code.

Vorteile:

Love that it is an all-inclusive solution to the multiple applications our office was using for a modern Endodontics office. I no longer have to pay separately for patient engagement and digital forms or run a separate 3 party electronic claims solution.

Nachteile:

I was a huge learning curve from the legacy software we were moving away from and I would like to see more professional referral letters.

Kommentare: After working 20+ years with the same software, I was a bit hesitant of the change. However, it was almost seamless. The team at Carestack was there the entire process and they made it so fluid. Overall it was a fantastic experience

The reporting, the ease of learning the program. The customer service.

This a pro and con. There are multiple ways to do the same thing. So sometimes you can doubt yourself if you are doing it the most efficient way

We love how almost everything is one click away! It makes going through the patients chart so much easier!

We don't like how the online forms don't automatially input the information into the patients chart.

Kommentare: I have personally had a tremendous experience with Carestack. I have participated in their Platinum Coaching program and their desire to do everything they can to help you succeed is second to none!

Vorteile:

I like that Carestack is a web-based platform so that even if I am not in the office, I can access our schedule, patient records, claim information, everything! Equally tied to accessibility from anywhere with an internet connection I love how user friendly it is.

Nachteile:

They are missing some features and functions that competitors currently offer. However, the Carestack development team is exceptionally receptive and want to know what you need and want within the platform and develop plans to incorporate.

Progress not Perfection

Kommentare: I’m very new to the dental industry. As a patient care coordinator with an education background…I find that CareStack promotes feedback/criticism. They allow for room to grow and develop. The interactions with CareStack employees has been top notch! They are very client-centric. I feel like the CareStack team that I personally work with is always striving to better the quality of service as well as ease the workload of in person colleagues. They allow front desk staff to work smarter not harder! I can appreciate that they are always improving. Progress not perfection.

Vorteile:

CareStack team is constantly learning from criticism and feedback. They take what the customer is asking for and implements it as quickly as possible. Continuous improvement/updates to proved the customer with tailored care for their unique practice.

Nachteile:

CareStack’s downfall will be the reliance on technology functionality. If our WiFi is down - that leaves us stranded in many areas (phones, appts, access to info). I would like to be able to do more with the system from my iPhone. Compatibility with various interfaces would be a huge improvement.

Easy to learn and Simple to use

Vorteile:

What I love about Carestack is that it is so fast and easy to schedule an appointment and moring from tabs to tabs. I love how quickly you can search a statement , chart note , Appointment with a simple click ! It also makes Scheduling easier because as soon as you create an appointment you can just move that same appointment around without having to create a whole new one. ! As well they have a great support team for any questions you may have !

Nachteile:

Honestly as far as i have been using it there is nothing i least like about CareStack

Vorteile:

During the integration the CareStack team was always helpful and really listened to our needs as a practice.

Nachteile:

The amount of characters per text message could be greater, and sending/receiving photos would be very helpful to the practice!

Pros and cons of Carestack

Kommentare: Overall, I think customer service is great. That is why I kept Carestack. If your representatives are not friendly and helpful, I would've changed softwares. I really think the problem with MiCamp is a BIG headache. And I am disappointed that Carestack is not following up with that.

Vorteile:

Able to send insurance electronically. Able to send text message and emails to patients for recalls, appointment reminders, campaigns, etc. Customer service is good--keep it up! Most of the employees are knowledgable and friendly. I've had a few who didn't know they were doing and was kept on hold very long. So I would recommend to have your newer customer service rep be a little more knowledgable before putting them in charge of customer service.

Nachteile:

Currently, I don't like and very unhappy with how MiCamp works. They are very slow, shady, and unprofessional. They have charged me $499/year--I don't think any merchant services company I've worked in the past (e.g. Elavon) has charge me an annual fee (and I was told about the annual fee AFTER I signed up with Carestack). Carestack keeps on saying, "You have to deal with MiCamp because they have their own rules"--but Carestack is that one that recommended MiCamp. When I was deciding if I should sign up with CareStack or Easy Dental or other software companies, Carestack made it sound like MiCamp will work with the patient portal without any problem--which is one of the main reason why I chose Carestack. I've had Carestack for over a year now, and MiCamp and Carestack are still saying, "we are working on the patient portal"--but I really don't know when or if it's going to work...
