Gutes Tool zur Planung digitaler Produkte

Kommentare: Wird zu stark gehypet.

Vorteile:

Der Drag and Drop-Editor und die Möglichkeit, die eigenen Entwürfe mit Kolleginnen und Kunden zu teilen, ist hervorragend. Die Nutzung von Vorlagen wie Apple UI Kits, sonstigen Mockups oder Fonts (z.B. via Icomoon) funktioniert nach etwas Übung einfach. Auch komplexere Projekte sind abbildbar. Und man benötigt keine Creative Suite, um Figma zu nutzen.

Nachteile:

Das Pricing ist intransparent: Beim Jahresabo von Figma kommt noch ein Monatsabo von FigJam dazu. Leider lassen sich Screens nicht so einfach duplizieren und ausrichten, wie ich das in Adobe XD gewohnt war. Letzteres bleibt mein Website-Layout-Tool N°1.

Umständlich, schlechtes Interface

Kommentare: Könnte eine tolle Software sein. Man müsste das Interface verbessern und übersichtlich gestalten. Die Stabilität ist mäßig.

Vorteile:

Theoretisch gute Vektoren. Könnte gut für Animationen sein. Aber es ist ein Herumgeschiebe, weil, wenn man eine Arbeitsfläche oder ein Frame sperrt, dann die Objekte festhängen. Sehr nervig.

Nachteile:

Das unübersichtliche und oft versteckte Interface. Man kann nicht intuitiv arbeiten uns viele Datenformate, die wichtig sind, kann das figma nicht öffnen oder exportieren.

Gute Software

Vorteile:

Einfach zu bedienen, viele Möglichkeiten, gute Darstellung und Testing von Front End

Nachteile:

Teils etwas unübersichtlich im Funktionsumfang

Amazing software I'd be lost without

Vorteile:

It is a well-designed program clearly built by designers for designers. As a UX/UI designer, I would be lost without Figma, as I have never used any of its competitors. I absolutely love FigJam, too, and was so thrilled when that was rolled out, as I had used Miro and Mural in the past and didn't like having to toggle between two platforms. With Figma and FIgJam being as part of the same ecosystem, my work is streamlined significantly, especially since I can move designs between the two with ease.

Nachteile:

There isn't much I dislike. There is a learning curve to do more advanced design work and there doesn't seem to be enough tutorials to cover everything, or the tutorials aren't always up to date to match current features, if they do exist. That said, I rely on a lot of random independent content creators who publish tutorials and guides to places like Medium and YouTube.

Why Figma is far more better than other design softwares

Kommentare: Figma's intuitive interface makes it accessible for both beginners and experienced designers. The learning curve is relatively smooth, allowing users to quickly adapt to the platform. I'm glad I came across Figma in my learning stage as a product designer.

Vorteile:

Figma runs in a web browser, making it accessible across different operating systems without compromising performance. It's standout feature is also its robust real-time collaboration, allowing multiple users to work simultaneously on a project.

Nachteile:

I honestly don't see anything I dislike about Figma because I've used other design softwares and I can say that Figma is a life saver when it comes to UI and UX design.

"It was a perfect tool until the latest updates"

Nachteile:

Currently, I'm designing a website consisting of a relatively large number of pages compared to my previous projects. However, I've encountered an issue with the latest updates in Figma, the design tool I'm using. After the recent update, Figma started displaying the amount of memory being used, which has exceeded 77 %.Figma recommends deleting unnecessary files to optimise memory usage, but I have already ensured that there are no extra files in the project. It's frustrating to face these performance and memory issues even before completing the site.Consequently, I am compelled to consider alternative design tools since working on this project constantly battles productivity.It's disappointing that Figma is unable to handle the required number of files for a single project, and the proposed solution of splitting the project into multiple files seems impractical.I have been a user of Figma for several years, but the recent influx of new features and updates has significantly hindered the program's performance. This situation prompts me to question whether these improvements were necessary if they ultimately resulted in such a critical deterioration of the program itself.

Great Prototyping Tool

Kommentare: I've really enjoyed using Figma. As a previous user of both Axure and Adobe XD, it appeared to be relatively straightforward to switch over.

Vorteile:

Figma seems to get better at each incremental software release and is relatively straight forward to use.

Nachteile:

The downside is that your prototypes cannot be served offline, as you need to be connected to the internet to use it. This can be difficult for example using prototypes on location for film/tv.

Figtastic Tool

Kommentare: Absolutely epic, so far have not found any missing feature and in fact with introduction of AI tools, productivity spiked.

Vorteile:

It's basically the Adobe Suite killer but not as expensive. It has absolutely everything you need for Prototyping, UX/UI Design, Graphics and much more.

Nachteile:

mmm... maybe difficult in the beginning to understand the menus and features.

Figma is really good for Programmers and UI/UX Designer

Nachteile:

Figma can not create for responsive prototype and does not have breakpoints for components.

Sometimes its hard to learn as a developer to make minor tweaks

Best UX Designer Tool

Vorteile:

Figma is best web based UX design tool. It allows my team collaborative works on one design . It provides powerful tool vector editing which is essential for our project. It's ese to use and easy to integrate with JIRA. We used this for all UX design for our web application.

Nachteile:

Slower internet speed cause the performance issue(takes time to load design) .

Great for beginners

Vorteile:

I have been using Figma for a few months now and, although it is still not a program I know by heart, it is not a difficult one to learn. In just a few weeks I've learned a lot about it and I know the more I work on it, the better I'll become.

Nachteile:

The one thing I dislike about Figma is the storing of layers in the documents - which sometimes become very confusing -, the copy and paste function and the fact that you cannot copy comments within your artboard to another folder.

Options are endless

There are so many things you can do, the options are endless. It’s easy to use, has a fun interface and you can easily collaborate with others.

Nachteile:

There is a bit of a learning curve but I’m sure if I took the extra time to learn about all of the features, it’d be better.

Figma should be the industry standard for UX/UI design

Kommentare: As somebody who deals with complex applications, the collaboration and design system capabilities Figma brings to the table is just awesome. I switched from Sketch which covers some of the functionality but it's very hard to create and maintain a design system which mirrors how developers build up interfaces. Figma enables and encourages you to think in components and build and scale a design system as oppose to individual screens. This approach is essential to any product-based business.

Vorteile:

- Collaboration: follow every update in real time. Sharing designs with client? You don't need to worry if they look at the latest updates or not. Collaborating with others on a design? No need to sync or update - it happens in real-time and automatically. - Components: very easy to use components and start to apply an atomic design approach. - Design system-centered thinking: Figma nailed a bunch of tedious and cumbersome design tasks: for example, it was not intuitive to work with layer styles, text styles and colors in Sketch (before I switched to Figma in 2018). In Figma, you can apply a saved color to texts, vector objects - anything. Very easy to work with saved text presets as well - they all built in a way to help you re-use them.

Nachteile:

- The design (UI) of the interface is not so nice :) After 2 weeks I stopped noticing it, but as a designer it bugged me at the beginning. - In some cases it takes time to load. - Figma updates the software regularly which in some cases means a completely new interface - and sometimes not all the updates are very intuitive (though they are iterating pretty rapidly so that's a good thing)

Incredible

Kommentare: Amazing. Figma has sped up many parts of our design process and enabled non-designers to contribute meaningful feedback more quickly into the design process. It's also enabled team members to quickly create visuals for things that don't require a lot of design oversight (eg. social media visuals). It gives a lot more power than Canva and at a lower price.

Vorteile:

I can't believe software this good is available for free. Figma provides every single feature you need to create great user interfaces, advertisements, documents, and any other design you could possibly want to create completely free. We use the paid version of Figma which allows a large number of collaborators as well as a few other high-end features. While there is a bit of a learning curve, Figma is surprisingly easy to learn for non-designers with just an hour or two of video tutorials (I used Udemy). Once you understand how to manipulated elements of your design, even a design newbie can churn out some pretty incredible designs very quickly. This software is a godsend for marketing teams. With traditional creative suites like Creative Cloud, you end up going back and forth with a designer - in Figma, anyone can pop in and contribute their thoughts in real-time. Our marketing design team has moved to doing the majority of their work in Figma now and it's been unreal.

Nachteile:

A few challenges have popped up with Figma. First, when you begin collaborating on designs in the cloud, there are times where you end up sharing a file with someone who doesn't have a Figma account. I would be nice if files could be more intuitively shared online with people who don't have a Figma account - especially if those people could drop comment pins on designs. Another con would be that because it is cloud-based software that's doing some pretty heavy lifting, it does tend to be more sluggish than running on-premises software with a high-end computer. That said, it's a minor annoyance and something that's probably worth not having to spend thousands on high-end hardware.

Excellent tool for building beautiful mockups

Kommentare: Figma has quickly become our main UI development tool.

Vorteile:

Figma is really focused on Web UI which sets it apart from generalist tools like Adobe Illustrator. I also really appreciate that it is built as a Web app, making it totally platform-agnostic, unlike industry-standard Sketch which is limited to macOS. A lot of effort has been put into how easily assets can be imported, like for instance how adding SVG objects is only a matter of drag and dropping SVG files directly from the local filesystem. Figma really feels and operates like a native app, with all the benefits of an online service.

Nachteile:

There's very little to dislike about it. I guess the biggest con is that it can be hard to operate in an offline environment.

Unbeatable design collaboration

Kommentare: Overall, Figma is an extremely powerful tool that allows for next-level collaboration with teams and users and so much more. It is a world class design tool that competes with the very best of the other options out there. I'd even say it comes out on top of Sketch.

Vorteile:

My overall favorite feature in Figma is the real-time collaboration on design files. This is invaluable to us in collaborating with other designers, product managers, and development teams remotely. The prototyping tools are amazing as well. I have created some pretty complex prototypes and I still haven't reached the full potential of what Figma's prototyping tools can do. The organization features (pages, files, projects) are very flexible. This allows us to create an organization structure the way we need it to work, instead of forcing a rigid structure on our team. Reusable component variants are a game changer! As is auto-layout for making components adapt to the content inside them as it changes (i.e. a button grows as you type text into the label). There are so many more things I could mention too!

Nachteile:

Some features can be a little tricky to learn. Auto-layout, for example, took me a while to get a grasp of and I'm still not sure I have a full understanding of how to use it.

The best of the best

Kommentare: Figma helps us prototype and design much more quickly than ever before. It's extremely helpful in creating results that can be reviewed by stakeholders and legal without much fuss.

Vorteile:

Figma builds off what other similar solutions offer in providing a very simple, easy-to-use interface with both an web-based and app experience that makes it more versatile and useful in my day-to-day work. I also like that Figma does what a lot of other tools don't do: It factors in the importance of content within design.

Nachteile:

Content within design relies on 3rd party plug-ins for Figma. It would be nice to see this functionality built into the app itself.

Excelent for collaboration on design

Kommentare: It is a great piece of software. It brings fresh ideas to UI design. It is a online-only tool so you can access your files anywhere.

Vorteile:

It is fast and reliable in what it does - designing interfaces. It features a rich community where templates can be found and offers good handoff options for developers.

Nachteile:

Pricing model. You need to be in a team and each user has to be paid for. If you're in more than one team, you still have to be paid for in every team. Also, prototyping tools could be improved with features like sticky elements and inputs.

Figma is a terrific tool for design and prototyping work.

Kommentare: Figma has saved me hours and hours of frustrating design work in Photoshop - where design can become cumbersome at best. It's easy to master and makes design work fun and fast. I love being able to share quickly when needed and the templates make my work easier and even more rewarding.

Vorteile:

The learning curve for Figma is simple and anyone who is new to design can start creating right away. If you have some design experience then Figma will help you increase productivity immediately and will inspire your creativity. The community makes a lot of templates available and sharable, and many of them are top-notch, pro-level work. Also there are many plugins available that make it even more useful.

Nachteile:

If you're new to design the interface may be a little confusing and some basic start-points are not so clear at first, but once you get the hang of it then design work becomes pretty easy. Menus are not clear, and some of the most used features (for me) are buried under multiple clicks. Having templates available from a handy list would be great such as templates for FB ads or 'hero page elements' and alike.

Figma, an excellent tool to generate prototypes and increase the customer experience.

Kommentare: It's a reliable tool, and it works perfectly when it comes to executing the prototypes so that our designs are seen by the end user and receive their feedback. We can also share views of our designs or allow collaborative work to be done. In general, its performance is consistent and scalable to complex projects.

Vorteile:

Figma has been adopted in multiple developments for its versatility, and for its proven efficiency in increasing the user experience in prototyping design stages. Its library and object management simplifies work on complex projects where multiple people participate to prepare proposals and guarantees a homogeneous product. Its interface has a very good degree of usability and the learning curve is short.

Nachteile:

Figma has been widely adopted globally and has proven to be preferred by many developers and UX designers. However, some may have opted for other multilingual alternatives, 3D transformations or voice prototyping. But it should be noted that the consistency and simplicity in the use of Figma made it the favorite and currently many companies implement the prototypes and projects through these platforms.

Design in style, that too affordably!

Kommentare: I would rate Figma 8/10. It has been a wonderful experience with Figma until now. Highly recommended!

Easy to use, with a clean UI. It has everything that you need to design stuff in a hassle-free manner. Cheery on the cake is its easiness of Collaboration. The team can work together in real-time on Figma, making life very easy. Value for money!

Nachteile:

Prototyping & Mobile App experience can be made much better.

Figma is Another World Itself

Kommentare: Smart Animate is one of the most impressive features in Figma. You can create advanced animations using Figma's Smart Animate feature. Smart Animate searches for similar layers and animates the ones with slight differences. This feature also lets you create detailed transitions, parallax scrolling, loading sequences, gestures, and much more. Smart Animate also allows you to preview your prototypes, and share them with others just like design files.

Vorteile:

Creating vector shapes in Figma is very similar to creating them in other drawing applications. The basic tools of vector design are the pen tool and the fill tool. Figma includes both of these tools, so you don't need to download an external illustration app. To create vector shapes, use the Pen tool to draw shapes or logos. The color picker is located at the bottom of the Stroke area on the right side of the screen. You can play around in a best way.

Nachteile:

Nothing bad till now, You can mold Figma in any shape you want. You can view the prototype on different devices through the presentation tab. The user can interact with the prototype by leaving comments. The prototype can be distributed as a link or shared with multiple people.

Not good for companies

The ease with which employees can unintentionally escalate costs by sharing projects outside the organization poses a direct threat to operational security and budget management. This oversight indicates a gap in Figma's understanding of the nuanced needs of business operations, especially in terms of administrative control and security protocols. Therefore, I urge fellow business leaders and decision-makers to exercise caution with Figma. It’s vital to vigilantly monitor your account settings and billing to mitigate these risks. The current state of Figma’s system underscores a crucial demand for tools that prioritize not just functionality but also align with stringent business practices and security measures. In light of these shortcomings, I am considering the development of an alternative platform that foregrounds these business essentials. This potential solution would offer robust control over user permissions and financial implications, addressing a critical market need for business-centric design tools. Until Figma addresses these shortcomings, businesses must recognize and navigate these risks actively. This is a call to Figma and other software providers: align your services with the stringent requirements of the business community. Only through such alignment can digital tools genuinely serve and support the diverse needs of the professional world.

Design in Figma

Vorteile:

This is the greatest tool I have used for my design projects, I use it everyday and has helped me to communciate better with colleages and developers. This tools lets me design and prototype, do discovery sessions and plan a project roadmap, create presentations and share files, plus many more things. It is great and very easy to use, it is always improving with new features and really hearing the community to make new features.

Nachteile:

At the beginning I had a lot of .ai files that I could not open or import into Figma, this is still not possible but there are ways to see the things. + As it is always evolving, there are some things that I wish could be easier but I would be surprised because for the next launch they had not only made it easier but also more accesible so there is nothing I would say I like the least. I enjoy using this tool and would recommend it to anyone.
