A great choice for email marketing

Kommentare: I switched to ConvertKit because we needed a more powerful email marketing tool. ConvertKit is the industry standard, and I feel like our email marketing system is much more professional after switching.

Vorteile:

I like that the audience can click a link within an email and be automatically segmented. It is also easy to create new broadcasts (emails), and ConvertKit recently added the ability to have saved brand colors, so changing the font and button colors is simple.

Nachteile:

ConvertKit isn't as "pretty" (or image-based) as some platforms; however, I'll take deliverability over pretty emails any day. It's also a little overwhelming to learn what everything means in ConvertKit, but once you become familiar with the wording and where things are, it's easy to accomplish what needs to be done.

It's basic and lacks some advanced features

Vorteile:

I like Convertkit because its templates are easily customizable compared to some other landing page builders that I've tried. I mean, it's one of the criteria I research from every software.It's equally Mobile Responsive and supports a few awesome integrations.

Nachteile:

Convertkit provides Limited Customization Options which can be hard to cope with. There is less flexibility when researching advanced customization options.- It also lacks advanced features like AB testing and advanced analytics, which I find essential for my business.

Extra Expensive Options

ConvertKit is easy to use and has a lot of features. I like the segmentation and automation features.

Nachteile:

ConvertKit is more expensive than some other email marketing tools. Some features are only available on the more expensive plans.

Kommentare: I've had a great experience. There is a bit of a learning curve when you first start, but CK is a powerful email marketing tool with loads of customizations and automations that make it worth the time to learn it.

Vorteile:

CK allows me to tag my subscribers so easily which then allows me to send customized content to each set of subscribers. I also love the email templates that make my weekly emails easy to complete. The extensive library of training resources are SO helpful when I have a question.

Nachteile:

CK is pretty technical so you have to have more of a systems/logistical brain to use it. If you're used to drag/drop, point/click, you may be a little intimidated by parts of CK. It all works well but requires a bit more technical skill that I needed for Constant Contact. It's totally worth it for me though!

It works, but takes some getting used to.

It might be overly simplified. I converted from Mailchimp, which seems more geared towards small businesses; it is easier to learn how to use. ConvertKit also does not offer as many design options as Mailchimp but is a good choice if you have plain text emails.

Top Tier Email Marketing Tool

Vorteile:

How easy it is to stay organized, schedule content, and collaborate with team members. Our [sensitive content hidden] has utilized ConvertKit for email campaign management for years and the features just continue to get better and better. It makes it easy to stay updated on metrics with click and open rates, subscriptions, etc. It has played a vital role in lead generation and the continued success of our company.

Nachteile:

We have had a couple scheduling issues with drip feeds, but I believe they have been resolved.

ConvertKit was a great product for this Newbie at Contact Management.

Vorteile:

I loved that it was free to start up to a couple thousand contacts.

Nachteile:

The price rose sharply as your contacts rose whether you were using it to make money off the list yet or not.

A great email service provider! The best!

Kommentare: I am relatively new to the email marketing business. I have found the support of the Convertkit team to be great. It has helped me a lot.

Vorteile:

Convertkit is easy to learn, and many videos and training resources are provided for newcomers to email automation.

Nachteile:

There's nothing I don't like about Convertkit. I only wish I had more time to explore and try all the features.

Amazing for creating custom audiences

Vorteile:

I like how easy it is to segment custom audiences within your emailing list. It helps us to not annoy our audience by sending them emails they don’t care about. We can better align with their interests.

Nachteile:

The landing pages leave much to be desired, but considering how advanced the responses can be and how that can be set up, this is such a small thing.

Love the automation Convertkit provides

Kommentare: I needed an email software that reaches leads without going into their junk email, that was reliable, flexible and allowed many different pathways for leads. This makes it so much easier to send personalized messages.

Vorteile:

I love the detailed automation you can set up and it is fairly easy once you know how. I really like the function that you can tag leads and send them into different funnels and send them personalized emails. This helps with conversion rate.

Nachteile:

It does take a little bit to learn. Such as when you set up rules and such in the automation it can get a little overwhelming but once you get the hang of it, it is easy and quick to set up.

Good for Segmenting

Kommentare: Does what we neede it to and was an upgrade from our prior platform (Mailchimp). We can easily create attractive and effective newsletters, email campaigns, landing pages and sign up pages that work across the rest of our tech stack, and it's easy to sort and segment all f that data on the backend for targeted campaigns. Does what we need it to and at a fair price.

Vorteile:

I love the segmenting and the aiblity to sort by anynumbr of tags in ConvertKit. It reallyenables us to create oppourtniteis tostudy our clientele based on defifient and specific needs and the communitcate to onlyt hose parts of the population at given times for certain services. This is key for us an the primary reason we switched from our old esp.

Nachteile:

I wish there was an easy way to capture mobile phone numbers for us to integrate SMS communcation and automations. So often after we connect with clients we would love to send a quick follow up message that doesn't warrant a full email and this tool does not have full functionality for that.

Great email marketing platform if you are NOT a beginner.

Kommentare: I'm not an email marketing beginner, but I tried ConvertKit and I didn't stay with them. I found their platform to be overwhelming, clunky, and I did not like the way the emails to my subscribers looked. The emails are quite plain. As an online business coach for women with service-based businesses, I dont' want to be tinkering around for a long time trying to figure out how to use an email marketing platform i'm paying for and I also want my emails to stand out. ConvertKit doesn't do either of those things for me.

Vorteile:

This is by far the best platform for organizing how you want your email series to be sent out as well as for tagging subscribers according to how they respond to your emails (like if they click on a button in your email to learn more, sign up for something, buy something, etc.). If you know what you're doing, this is an intuitive platform that allows you to keep track of what your subscribers are doing and then target them with the appropriate marketing.

Nachteile:

I feel like ConvertKit isn't beginner friendly because when you first sign onto there the interface is too overwhelming. The positive is that they give you a lot of options as to what you can do in email marketing and then the negative is that they give you too much options so then, like I said, it just looks overwhelming as a platform to work with. They do have tutorials though as well as a trial so you can get to know the platform before you jump into the monthly fee that starts at $29.

I have two ConvertKit accounts, because they work so well!

Kommentare: Most likely, I'll stick with ConvertKit for the long haul. They've got enough features to cover my basic needs - considering it's only myself and maybe a VA here and there, even if I had more bells and whistles, it's likely I wouldn't have the bandwidth to take advantage of them. So, ConvertKit has fit my needs perfectly and their customer service is exceptional!

Vorteile:

I migrated to ConvertKit in 2016 and have never had a problem with their service being down. I love how reliable they are! Once you get the lay of the land, ConvertKit is real easy to use too. Their software is straight forward and can do a ton for the low-cost compared to Ontraport and Infusionsoft.

Nachteile:

A lot of my friends have been moving to Active Campaign, because they say AC has more analytic features than CK. I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I do wish I could have better data from CK on best days and time of day my emails are being received. I wish I could see which email subject lines are working best for me. I wish I could have an overview calendar of what was previously sent rather than having to thumb back page after page. I wish that ConvertKit's email templates were easier to use -- I don't know coding and had a designer help me out.

It's good for lead generation

Kommentare: It's ideal for small business needs like lead acquisition and some marketing purposes. I recommend it.

Vorteile:

It has helped to achieve quite a great reasonable amount of results. We haven't been with it for a long time but It's been a nice option from form design to campaign management.

Nachteile:

I think the landing page builder still lacks some advanced features.I also think that the company is not adding enough templates. ConverKit is costly but it's worth it.It doesn't handle large data well.

ConvertKit is the most tech friendly

After trying all of the popular email marketing platforms, I have found ConvertKit to be the easiest to use, and the best for managing my clients' email lists. The customer support is always outstanding, with quick replies and they always can solve an issue for me, and if they can't they get back to me once they figure it out.

Nachteile:

I wish there were more features/more integrations with other platforms.

ConvertKit is good for creators, but pricey

Best Email Marketing Tool

ConvertKit is the top-of-the-line email marketing tool on the market. It's not just an email automation tool, it's more than that. It has many exciting and advanced features for marketers, making it a powerful marketing solution. The free plan is a decent option for beginners getting started in this industry.

Nachteile:

The price is high, the 300 contacts limit is not lucrative, and if you have a large list, the price will go up pretty fast. I wish they had an LTD with a decent limit.

Lots of quirks, customer service is awful

Kommentare: Overall, it's an ok tool. A lot of the glitches have cost me money (i.e. sending coupons to my list and excluding purchasers... only to find out prior purchasers still received the email). I've had requests for "discounts" from people who have received these emails after purchasing a product at full price. They are not happy. When people get stuck in sequences they go "cold"... then I end up sending a reengagement sequence before removing from my list and these people get very mad too... they have been expecting to hear from me and think that I don't send to my list regularly. Overall I really feel like just a number to ConvertKit. They don't care about my business and charge a FORTUNE. I think this product has hurt my business, cost me money and soured my reputation. In my opinion if they are charging such a premium price it really should be top notch and this really falls short in a lot of ways. I really wish I thought long and hard before signing up with them as it's going to be a NIGHTMARE to switch. I feel really "stuck" with using them and it's such a nightmare to manage at this point.

Vorteile:

I like the features this has - the visual automations are great. It gives you the ability to customize how your subscribers will go through your funnel. The forms are easy to create relatively easy to set up.

Nachteile:

The system is really quirky. I often times get people "stuck" in my funnel where they opt out of a sequence and then are just sitting in an automation. It gets really frustrating trying to troubleshoot all of the scenarios and errors that can happen. Overly complex to deal with. I've noticed that certain things that should just work need special attention... like moving to the next part of an automation sequence when leaving another. Or "rules" you don't remember making end up messing up other tags or segments. There's literally no way to troubleshoot this stuff on your own the information is just not available so you'd have to go through every individual subscriber to see how they got stuck or got sent an email they shouldn't. If you're looking for support... GOOD LUCK. This is the worst support I've had. They have a chat and you get switched from person to person over the course of multiple days. They sometimes send an email with the support details, and if you reply to that apparently the chat people don't receive it. I've repeated myself over the course of 5 days now and still can't get anyone to understand the issue.... let alone apologize for a mistake that looks like a glitch in their system. I've asked for a manager and the people on the chat just ignore that. There's no phone number to call. It's like talking to a brick wall. I also don't like that there's very little you can do to customize emails. You really can't design them in any way.

Great no-code tool to manage subscribers

Kommentare: Overall it does a great job of quickly getting started with building an audience and delivering value. Still, after a certain point, it gets expensive if you are not monetising your audience. I also feel reporting, and email automation can be improved as well.

Vorteile:

Entire newsletter subscription management is effortless with Convertkit. The landing page can be customised according to brand, with an email form deployed in less than an hour is remarkable. I also felt the overall delivery rate is much better than Mailchimp.

Nachteile:

List management and email automation can be improved a bit. Sometimes I have to go to other tools like ActiveCampaigns just because their automation is much better. Reporting can be improved as well.

Life Saver

Kommentare: Due to the ease of ConvertKit I email way more. I am not getting fancy yet with sequences, but in a matter of using it only for 2 weeks, the way the software is set up, I am begging to formulate big picture sequences, strategize campaigns and IN TRUTH, I was never able to look at my health coaching service and online webinars like this because my background is education. As a educator we don't think like this because our students just come to us, the stress of "getting clients" was so large and overwhelming until I found something like convert kit to make me BE more present and visible online. I AM SO GRATEFUL!

Vorteile:

As a person with little to no tech background, truth, I was quite intimidated by this software. HOWEVER, what I love about it, is its dedication to quick videos that give you instant feedback and education to navigate and understand what you are doing. There are tutorials everywhere, in truth you never feel lost or alone or not supported. It is more about (as a new entrepreneur) it is more abut catching up with the scope of what you want to do with it. I initially used it to organize and gather emails and do live broadcast, but together with Leadpages these two have been my go to towards launching my first webinar only using emails in my direct network and slotting 8 out of 10 seats for my webinar. I really was lost in terms of how to manage all these emails and in truth they manage themselves. I What I love the most is how it auto tags/sorts the emails so I can see who responds to what funnel and make me a better and more strategic entrepreneur.

Nachteile:

Nothing yet, I am more impatient with myself because I wish I could understand its full scope fast.

Amazing tool for Content Creators

Kommentare: ConvertKit is a great tool for email marketing. It does what I need it to do and let's me create attractive campings, landing pages and newsletters.

There are a lot of things to love about ConvertKit. It's easy to understand and you can get started quite quickly. The tool has good segmentation, automations, and confirmation emails. Also the email builder works really well!

Nachteile:

The thing I like least is the pricing. If you're just starting out, the price can be a bit high depending on the amount of subscribers.
