Vorteile:

I love the fact that that there are so many variety of test one can take in order to earn money. It's usually $10 a test, but the more you take the more it adds up. There are times when more compensation is offered, but again it's usually $10 per test; the rule of multiplication comes in when you use more than one device. With the opportunity to also use your own devices from home or remotely (as long as it's quiet in the background), you can use your desktop, laptop, tablet (if allowed), iPad, and/or iPhone. I believe drones can be used now, though I'm not exactly sure.

Nachteile:

Two main disadvantages are that you're not going to qualify for every test. Some tests are based on region, age, gender, if you have certain devices, if you have a certain version software on the device, etc. That's given so it's best to keep your devices and software updated. When you're updating your devices and would like to get back to the test in order to complete it, that's where the problem lies. They should have it where you're able to return to the test in order to complete it.

UserTesting Review

Kommentare: Overall, I like Usertesting's communication with testers who are using their app and website. They are able to get back to you as soon as they can. The app may crash at times which can be annoying, but they give out frequent tests and is the most used website. I would continue to use their app and website. I just wish some of the crashes were fixed.

Vorteile:

I like the app a lot. The design of the app is very sleek. The functionality works good where I do not have many problems with it when it comes to tapping on the menu or when I receive tests. I am able to communicate with Customer Support fairly fast and they are able to compensate when it comes to finding bugs at times. They also have an option where you can check to see other tests on the laptop / desktop which they can allow you to test multiple devices. You do get paid to take their tests and they are very good about giving payment. Though, it may take a little longer to receive at times.

Nachteile:

There are times when the app takes a long time to open after receiving a test. There are other times while you are taking one of the tests which you received that there will be lag time for a minute when clicking on the plus sign. Once tapping on the plus sign on the app, it may freeze, and take awhile to get to another page they may request for you to use. Sometimes after you do that, the app crashes.

QUICK MONEY!

Kommentare: My overall experience with UserTesting was half good and half bad. They had sometimes where their website would glitch and throw my test off. Then I would have to contact customer service with the test number and a few more details which made it a little annoying. The good experience I had with them was that the reviews were pretty short and easy to do when I did get approved. I would get my money within a week and be able to pay for things that I needed. Such as material for my business or gas and sometimes even help my employees out with something.

Vorteile:

What I like most about UserTesting is that it's most of the time quick money. I would review some software or an app/prototype and if the client decided that I was truthful and gave them what they needed to better their item I would get payed in a week. Some reviews were for $10 and then they had live interviews for $40 which was a big bonus for me. It was a quick and easy way for me to get some money on the side, if I had any upcoming bills or needed gas money.

Nachteile:

What I least like about UserTesting is that they would have me go through a little test before doing the actual review. That test determined if you were eligible to do the review, which was the catch. Sometimes I would spend like 30 minutes trying to get approved to do a review and it was VERY time consuming. To the point that I got so excited when I was approved to do one and it was only for $10. Then sometimes it wouldn't take long at all, so I guess it's kind of a hit and miss.

Probably the best User Testing platform on the market, honestly

Kommentare: We're really easily able to add in a qualitative vetting layer in addition to our quantitative layer of measuring data and ensuring we're delivering products that meet peoples needs and ensure our success.

Vorteile:

My favorite thing about user testing as a platform is its ability to generate insights in a short amount of time. The User testing team has built out an extensive network of testers all over the world to make sure that we can get access to those that are under our target audience and in a timely manner.

Nachteile:

Occasionally we'll get a few participants who try to speed through and game the system by giving false responses to earn the incentive. This kind of thing is hard to control and is expected. The User testing team has always been good about swapping these sessions out to not impact our usage.

The New Age Lottery

Kommentare: UserTesting is a great site to make side-income. If you live outside the US then it is much better, because the company pays you in dollars which would be easily a lot more in your currency. I would highly recommend UserTesting to those who are constantly on their laptops/desktops because all you need is to keep the site open and wait for the 'ding' sound while continuing with your work in the next tab. It is easy to understand and honestly fun to speak out loud about what goes out in your mind.

Vorteile:

1) Your payment per test ranges from $10 to $60 depending on the tasks, the best part is that the tests are hardly going to take you 10-15 minutes to complete. 2) As a tester your opinions are taken into consideration by Multinational Companies, your opinions are valued here and hold some utility. 3) You will be given the opportunity to test multiple products and services, hence the tests are not monotonous, and its always challenging.

Nachteile:

1) Waiting for a test could get really tiresome, because the tests are rarely available. The availability is so low that sometimes you can go an entire week without hearing 'the ding' sound on your laptop. 2) Qualifying for tests is another aspect in which most people lose out. You may be online when a test is available but it is not always possible to qualify for a test. 3) The UserTesting mobile app is not always going to pop-up with notfication when the tests are available. Infact, in my experience the app has never notified me about any tests. 4) Sometimes when you are qualifying for the tests, the survey stops in the middle because the test already has enough users to begin, which invariably leads to wasting the time you spent on filling out the form.

Nice fun way to make a little extra money

Kommentare: I've had fun with it. Some of the evaluations I've done have been super interesting. It's nice to be able to share my feedback on the tools I use, even if the feedback is negative. It's also nice to learn about new tools that would be useful to me and my business.

Vorteile:

I can take tests on my time. The evaluations that I've done for companies are interesting and I enjoy sharing my feedback. I like that I may contribute to making software better for the end user. I like getting paid for my reviews and feedback.

Nachteile:

Sometimes I have tech issues with the mobile version. The interface for taking mobile tests is not the easiest in the world to use.

Easy and Intuitive Platform for software testing

Vorteile:

The platform is very useful for both beginners and experts who just need some real life experience in usability testing or software testing. We can easily make pocket money by giving genuine reviews that can help customers to buy the product. Also it is beneficial for both the user and tester as a user can get opinions regarding their software product from wide range of ethnicity whereas a tester get paid for the reviews which he or she will post. The main thing I just wanted to share is that the platform provides an intuitive experience through the minimal and effective UI/UX experience for the user.

Nachteile:

According to my opnion I am not getting anything to hate. And also usertesting platform is improving day by day by making their user experience intuitive.

Favorite way of making some extra dough!

Vorteile:

I can say this is my favorite way of making extra money to pay bills that your normal job doesn't cover or you just want to make a difference in the reviews out there. They tell the truth and keep it real!

Nachteile:

My least favorite about this software is the software doesn't really work sometimes and crashes but Usertesting will pay you for the time you took to do the review. They are harsh on the reviewers/usertesters but it is worth it so as long as you dedicate your time and focus on real reviews, they will make sure you are taken care of.

Usertesting is truly useful

Kommentare: It has been remarkably great, and I intend to continue using it, and I have even recommended it to some people, that is how fond I am of it.

Vorteile:

The fact that I can earn $10 in a few minutes testing websites and working from home, in fact, I not only like Usertesting, but I am fond of it, and I have earned more than $ 50 from it and I could have made more money, yet I did not qualify for some tests presented to me, but I love it and it is not rocket science, anyone can earn from it, as long as you are able to utter common English, then you are good to go.

Nachteile:

The one thing I dislike about Usertesting, is the fact that you won't always qualify for tests.

Vorteile:

The best thing about this tool is to arrange so many screeners with targeted audiences. Review response is great and fast too. This gives freedom for what type of testing we want to do. Public website, card sorting, etc like so many comes with this. Support is also great and fast. They give you for your time the best thing in this.

Nachteile:

Sometimes tests not stay for a long time. It can be frustrating. otherwise, all is good in this . Very fast and easy to use. a great way for gathering feedback from consumers. Great for business. beast in class.

Good option for Moderated Usability Testing

Kommentare: A decent option for moderated usability testing. If you ignore the more experimental features, it's got everything you need.

Vorteile:

Easy to set up, with all the standard tools: screeners, recruitment, and moderated testing. Note-taking is particularly good here, and making clips from the sessions is easy and quick, which saves time overall.

Nachteile:

The "automatic highlights" feature is somewhat problematic; although it could be a useful feature in the future, at the moment it feels somewhat unfinished and can distract from the main pain points in a session.

UserTesting is an excellent site for testing software.

Vorteile:

This lets anyone sign up and test different programs. It’s very easy to use.

Nachteile:

The only issues I have with this software are that the recorder crashes often.

Get the right users easily, but annoyingly

Kommentare: User Testing enables me to get in front of the right user provided you're crafty with how you screen your participants. I've used them to conduct usability testing, user interviews, and comparative UI research. It enables me to reach potential users that, for business reasons, I wouldn't have access to in order to conduct user research.

Vorteile:

They make it really easy to get the right participants for your studies, mainly because they have such a large panel. Note-taking and tagging is fairly useful.

Nachteile:

Their plans come with limits on the number of participants per study, if you want more participants per study you have to pay more. Instead they give you this annoying workaround where you can do an unlimited number of studies, which means you have to send them out in batches and then combine the data later, which can get tedious. When you need to replace a participant for one reason or another they make it a little difficult to accomplish. You have to either give the participant a bad rating or report an issue with the video. For such a common issue you'd think they'd have an option to directly replace a given participant.

Being able to test through UserTesting has encouraged our stakeholders to ask questions and contributed to stronger content overall. UserTesting also provides unmatched customer support through chat, phone, or email. The training provided by the online community and the support is exceptional when it came to launching our first tests through UserTesting.

Vorteile:

UserTesting is intuitive and provides a multitude of templates for quick test deployments. It has changed the way our stakeholders think about qualitative feedback, and they frequently ask if we can test ideas through the platform. We have found that the participant pool is sufficient for targeting the exact participants that we are looking for, and the additional screener questions are easily customizable. The tools for creating highlight reels are easy to use, especially when it comes to assembling highlight reels through the available tagging feature. Plus, we have started to investigate the available integration with Slack to quickly share results.

Nachteile:

Integrating UserTesting was difficult, as our stakeholders are primarily scientists that lean more on quantitative data. The metrics provided in UserTesting are not considered as a statistically significant sample size, especially since our license is limited to 5 participants per test. Now, however, UserTesting an essential part of developing our marketing materials. In addition, after witnessing the benefits of utilizing UserTesting during prototyping stages, our software teams wanted to join in and use the platform for testing during app development. The opportunity to test on mobile devices is exciting.

Kommentare: It's been an amazing experience, not only because you can get a decent compensation but also you learn a lot about all sort of things it's not limited to what profession you have, the test are in general fun

It's easy to sign up as a tester: You must be committed to giving good and honest reviews by speaking your thoughts as you browse through the prototypes or surveys. As a tester is easy to identify what kind of user test is. You can even do a test from your phone

Nachteile:

Sometimes the client prototypes fail. The recorder can cause problems, it's limited to use only in Chrome

Great little way to make a few extra $$...if you're sitting at a computer all day!

Kommentare: It's a great way to make a bit of pocket money on the side, if you're sitting at your computer for work all day anyway, and have a bit of flexibility to take a 10-20 minute break on essentially no notice. Overall the software itself is really easy to use. Even someone with little IT knowledge could probably figure it out with all the instructions they provide every step of the way.

Vorteile:

The software itself is VERY easy to use. It has a lot of walkthrough instructions (even when they put out mandatory new releases and changes are made to the UI). They make it really simple to understand how to use it. Step by step instructions, and the UI is laid out in a very easy-to-use way.

Nachteile:

Seems like it must be a resource hog. Every time I use it my fan starts running, the computer seems to heat up a lot, etc.

Testing websites

Kommentare: I love this software. I even use the app.

Vorteile:

I like how easy and simple it is to navigate the site. I go through websites and tell my opinion on what needs to be improved, what needs to be different or if it is just right!

Nachteile:

There is nothing that I do not like about this software, it works great.

Easy to use and quick turnaround for research

Kommentare: I am helping my designers and product owners get feedback on new concepts, redesigns, or existing products.

Vorteile:

The quick turnaround on studies is the best part about Usertesting! I am able to launch a study and get results in a few hours. It is also very flexible, you can bend the platform to your will.

Nachteile:

The users on the platform tend to be "professional" testers. Profesional meaning that they do testing so much that you have to screen carefully if you are looking for somebody that is more like your typical user.

Best usability testing platform

Kommentare: My overall experience with usertesting as a participant is very good. I like this platform and participate in most of the usability studies only from this studies.

Vorteile:

I Love UserTesting

Kommentare: I have been testing with UserTesting for 2+ years. Testing websites and smartphone apps is lots of fun for me, so I typically have a great experience with UserTesting.

Vorteile:

Software is very user-friendly. Notifications are provided regularly when tests are available and payment for testing is always on time.

Nachteile:

The thing I like least about the software is you have to wait 7 days to be paid for tests you have completed.

Get real-life user tests on your interface!

Kommentare: I've been a UserTester now for more than 6 months and have greatly enjoyed taking part in the community and helping make sites and products better!

Vorteile:

UserTesting is very straightforward and easy to use. Once it's installed on your machine it enables real-life people to interact with your user interface or sitemap. You get real time feedback as testers speak their thoughts out loud as they perform actions. It's very valuable feedback for developers.

Nachteile:

I have not found any cons to date...it's excellent!

I was super excited to find Usertesting. When I first started a couple years ago, I was able to take a bunch of tests which I was super thankful for.

Nachteile:

These days though, it's very hard to even get accepted. And I don't really love that the same test comes up like 10 times. It takes up too much time to sort through dozens of the same test I don't quality for.

I paid $10,000 for quality testers and got fake testers that never tested before. I am reporting them to the BBB.

A Decent Side Hustle

Kommentare: It's decent at best for making a little bit of extra cash, but don't expect to be making more than 10-20 bucks a week with this. The customer support is slow and there are better testing websites you can participate in.

Vorteile:

Testing on the computer is very easy and the only thing that needs to be installed is an extension, everything else is done by Usertesting. The payouts are also very consistent and always come at the same time.

Nachteile:

The tests recommended to you are irrelevant 9/10 times and finding one that you can actually take and earn money from is much harder than it seems. Mobile tests are also extremely glitchy and sometimes don't publish properly. The payouts also take 7 extra days from the actual test to transfer.

A good way to test the feel and ease of your website

Vorteile:

A good way to understand the user when it has first contact with your website. A great way to target only the users you want as your prime target on conversion rate. This service really helps companies by motivating users to speak their mind and see how they respond to certain tasks.

Nachteile:

Sometimes as a company you need more users that fit specific criteria, you have to reach into new wider audiences to receive more users.
