The dev product made by devs, for devs. It feels awesome to use it and made us drop many unneeded systems.
It would avoid me multiple transactions, especially when using a currency that is not Euro.

The best PaaS ever

Vorteile:
Easy to implement, Clever cloud does not need any custom code, and rely on open source resources!
Nachteile:
the GUI could be improved, and the API could have a better documentation

Kommentare: What we also like is the auto-scaling featuer. We are conferences's organizer. During our events we need maybe 4 active servers, to host and to server between 5000 to 10,000 attendees. But once the tradeshow is over, we don't need such power in term of CPU/Memory. Clever-cloud has a native auto-scaling system that save a lot of cash. You pay only for what you consume.
Vorteile:
Clever-cloud is a simple platform as a service solution we've been using for the Devoxx conferences since 2016. We deploy Java and Scala backend applications, with postgreSQL, Redis and Elasticsearch add-ons. The solution is very simple (basically, you do a git push to Clever-cloud and voilà). The tooling is good (you can use a CLI to deploy from your localhost or to fetch logs). What I like the most about Clevercloud is the Support team. They are always helpful and they can help you when you need.
Nachteile:
It's not a Container as a Service solution. You can deploy a Docker container (we did that for Keycloak), but it's not the most natural approach with Clever-cloud

The ease of deployment process among the quality of the documentation.
Nachteile:
I miss some ways to deployment software in 'dev' envrionement, espacially for PHP. I would like to be able to configure my deployment for a target environement (prod, dev, test ...). The main bottleneck for PHP is that by default the deployment process install Composer dependancies without the flag --dev. It could be useful to configure it through an ENV var in the console

Super easy integration and setup: deploying multiple applications with a database is really quick and the documentation is helpful and up-to-date. Also, vertical and horizontal scaling is very easy to configure and you'll pay only what you've used.
Nachteile:
The database pricing which is separated from the credits: I would like to pay only for credits, and that the database, which is invoiced each month, use my credits to be paid. It would avoid me multiple transactions, especially when using a currency that is not Euro.
Amazing dev experience

there's no "apps group" feature in the UI :D
No more hosting and scalability issues
Kommentare: Clever Cloud allowed us to focus on our product and customers, instead of dealing with servers and infrastructure issues.
Vorteile:
I like that Clever Cloud deal with servers and network in order for us to run our apps without caring about infrastructure.
Nachteile:
Deploying on clever cloud asks the app to be fully gitable.
PaaS the easy way
Vorteile:
The easiest PaaS I have used so far to deploy application.(and by app I mean any app and/or language) You can easily configure everything from the console UI, but there is also a solid CLI for your ci/cd process. Great pricing and world class support.
Nachteile:
I miss a solid metrics dashboard and a more easy to use log inspector.

Nachteile:
The sluggish UI, sometimes does not load, some workarounds to do to integrate with the cc build.

aucun, ils ont été déficient pendant toute la durée de la prestation
Nachteile:
aucune fiabilité, les serveurs tombaient tous les 2 ou 3 jours, nous avons trouvé un autre hebergeur qui a su gérer notre infra pour un budget 2 fois moins élevé et ensuite ils ont continué à facturer de mauvaise foi.

Un seul client dans votre secteur ces 12 derniers mois nous a quitté donc nous avons une idée de quelle entreprise laisse ce commentaire vindicatif, et donc de ses raisons. Vos besoins spécifiques sur des serveurs tiers avec une architecture particulière que nous avions déconseillée, ont été incompatibles avec notre plateforme. Nous avons fait tout les efforts pour résoudre les instabilités en acceptant ce risque avec vous. Nous avons hélas échoué à être au niveau de vos attentes. Ainsi nous vous avons proposé de prendre à notre charge une grande partie de votre facture, ce qui fut accepté. Les factures contestées sont celles que vous aviez accepté de payer à l'amiable. Nous regrettons que vous les contestiez désormais pour ensuite porter atteinte à notre réputation anonymement. Nous sommes heureux que vos services soient stables, et vous prions de croire que nous vous souhaitons le meilleur.

Git push et c'est déployé ! Monitoring inclus, si l'instance s'arrête ça recommence au bout de quelques minutes. Et le support client est plus que réactif !
Nachteile:
Autoscaling peut être un peu brutal, mais il a raison de l'être.
Easy deployment and not worry about uptime
Vorteile:
Once software is deployed, it's in the hands of Clever Cloud. It allows me to focus on my code and not worry about handling downtimes.
Nachteile:
Setting up the build pack needs a bit of work, but once it's done, it works great.
