An easy tool for quick video editing

Kommentare: Avidemux is an easy to use and functional tool for all the basic tasks of the video files editing: you can cut, merge, subtitle, add logo, apply soundtrack, encode, add generic effects etc. It is very handy when you are to make a video promo quickly from some filmed material and upload it to you corporate website or social network page. It's user interface is very similar to the earlier popular but outdated now VirtualDub.
You can avoid bothering yourself with all that containers, codecs etc. staff, just choose the target file extension like MP3 or AVI and save what you have edited.
Of course it lacks the might of the professional video editors like Adobe Premiere, but any everyday office task can be performed with it, and all that for free.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to use, you should not be a video editing professional or a container/codec guru. It performs all the everyday office tasks such as an uploadable promo video creation. It works with all the popular video file formats. It does not require any 3rd party audio/video software such as codecs etc. It is free and up to date.

Nachteile:

Until now I did never encounter any video editing task which was not supported by this software. I just can't point out any faults.

Avidemux video edit

Kommentare: I am using Avidemux to edit video captured from VHS.

Vorteile:

I can edit and transcode with it any kind of video. It is an excellent linear video editor. i like the transcode feature too.

Nachteile:

I can barely convince it to do batch transcoding (multiple video at the same time). The software had, at a previous time, an add-on to do that, but I didn't found it recently.

Great For Beginners

Kommentare: Too simple, not much features but some people like it that way, it can be less confusing! Great for young kids who want to practice video making!

Vorteile:

I like how simple and easy it is to use. For sure, beginners, really great for when kids want to learn how to video edit. Best for making quick videos.

Nachteile:

Its a bit too simple, not many features.

Advanced Video Editing on a Budget.

Kommentare: Use Avidemux for editing video for animation projects as well as gameplay video for development projects. It does what I need without getting in the way.

Vorteile:

Avidemux is an Open Source solution that supports most video and audio formats. Clipping and Cropping are simple operations that just work. Video optimization, scaling, motion compensation, speed control, add borders, flip, rotate, fade.... All built-in features. Noise filters, Subtitles, and more. Export video to Mpeg1,2,4, x264, h264, AVI, DVD Compatible MPEG, flash video etc. Change audio tracks, mute audio, and more. Supports custom scripts to perform more advanced operations. Did I mention that it is open source and you can download it for free? It is available for PC Windows, MacOS and linux/BSD.

Nachteile:

While most features are simple and straight forward, some of the more advanced features will take some time to understand and utilize. Some codecs may not be supported.

Avidexmux is simple and yet powerful.

Kommentare: Besides that it's free, it's handy software. Small and fast. You don't get many of those around these days. I recommend using it primarily for lossless editing - you can cut and merge video clips and add filters. It has its issues, like it used to crash all the time but is relatively stable now. One of my favourite free software, period!

Vorteile:

The best free program I've used. It is great for simple video edits, trimming and splicing videos losslessly. It's not for serious and advanced video editing work, so one must appreciate the simple things- intuitive, cross-platform- it works on both Windows and Mac. Also, it can transcode and re-encode a video into different formats.

Nachteile:

It's a free software, and the expectations are really low. Sometimes audio gets distorted on video import. When I try to save an appended video with only mp4 files, it freezes, stops responding and crashes; it's just one glitch after another. There's no timeline with multiple tracks.

Very capable video editor for editing, cutting and converting for free

Kommentare: Avidemux is enough for basic and slightly advanced video editing, and is often updated.

Vorteile:

It is open-source and multi-platform, running on both Windows and Linux. Localization of the environment into many languages, including Czech. Basically, it contains many useful and high-quality filters for deinterlacing, changing the resolution or cropping the image. Allows easy conversion to the most used audio / video formats. If the same output audio / video format is selected, editing is possible without recompression. Easy to add and remove audio tracks via muxing and demuxing. Availability of many quality paid plugins.

Nachteile:

Can't cutting with one frame precision via H.264 codec like Smart Cutter from Fame Ring.

The software is very easy to use to create videos. Exporting videos is faster than some renowned software

Nachteile:

No problems encountered other than finding the calibration bar short

Great app for converting your video files

Vorteile:

This application has several profiles for converting all type of video files from one format to another. You just have to open a file, and select to which format you want to convert it to, using the included profiles. You can also tweak the conversion options (and there are a lot of options). And the conversion takes place relatively fast (depending on the type of conversion you are doing).

Nachteile:

The advanced features are very comprehensive, but if you don't know what they mean you will have to look into them. You are better off just using the included profiles.

Video Editing Program With A Few One Of A Kind

Kommentare: It's a great program that solves editing problems on videos that were transcoded in avi and mkv wrappers.

Vorteile:

This program can deal with avi/mkv files in a few ways that other programs cannot. If you have a rip of a dvd or bluray and want to make edits or add information, AVIDEMUX is the best and sometimes the only possible solution.

Nachteile:

The interface is outdated and takes getting used to.

Vorteile:

This software works on both Window and linux. And has the option to edit, trim and share video and it is almost free of cost and it can adjust the video quality as well.

Nachteile:

The major cone is that it is very complex to understand without any help and it looks very outdated as compared to other editing softwares.

Kommentare: La mia esperienza complessiva con Avidemux è generalmente positiva. Programma che fa quello che per cui è stato creato in maniera veloce, precisa e senza fronzoli. E tutto gratuitamente.

Vorteile:

Mi è piaciuto che è gratuito, semplice nel utilizzo, grafica molto intuitiva adatta anche ai principianti ed è veloce nello svolgere le operazioni basic

Nachteile:

Mi è piaciuto di meno il fatto che è troppo basic, ha poche funzioni. Dovrebbe essere implementato con l'aggiunta di nuove funzioni sempre utili al utente medio

Buon software per video-cutting e/o montaggi video rapidi

Kommentare: Esperienza positiva per l'utilizzo che ne ho fatto: video-cutting e montaggi semplici. Carica e scarica i file piuttosto rapidamente.

Vorteile:

Le funzionalità essenziali per il video-cutting sono subito ben visibili, in un unico pannello si riescono a gestire più opzioni di in-put e out-put video.

Nachteile:

Interfaccia datata. Ciò non ne pregiudica l'efficenza ma aumenterebbe la usability se si adattasse ai template di ultima generazione.

A great software to edit videos

Kommentare: I overall had a good experience with Avidemux. Once I got used to the software, I was able to easily edit and clip videos.

Vorteile:

I liked how easy this software this was to use. It allowed me to easily edit and clip videos in seconds. I also liked that it was free.

Nachteile:

There was a bit of a learning curve with this software. This software is also a bit bones compared to other software that does the same thing.

A little clunky but gets job done

Kommentare: It does what it needs to do and allows you to clip videos.

Vorteile:

Able to trim the end of the video and beginning of the video pretty easily. It was also really neat to be able to crop the video and get rid of parts I didn’t really want to show.

Nachteile:

It took me over 4 saves to actually figure out how to force the encoding to get it to crop the video the way I wanted. Also the software isn’t very intuitive to use. I ended up having to google how to on several different things.

Easy to use for Video Editing

Vorteile:

Avidemux is easy and simple to use. Very fast and easy to learn and didn't spend hours learning how to use. Also, love you can export videos out.

Nachteile:

Nothing negative to say about the software.

Avidemux is a great free video editing tool

Kommentare: Avidemux is perfect for small, minor edits to videos. I used it to edit videos prior to uploading on YouTube. Perfect for trimming and filtering and adjusting the angle of the videos.

Vorteile:

Avidemux is a simple, free, easy tool to perform basic video editing. If you need to make simple tweaks like adjusting the balance or angle of the video, or cutting and trimming etc - this is a great solution

Nachteile:

Avidemux is not the easiest to figure out the first time, but once you get the hang of it you are good. Not too bad to get started, and if you don't have to do anything complex - it is very simple.

A really simple video editor that gets all the basics right.

Vorteile:

Basic functionalities like trimming, cutting, filters etc and ease of using them. Supports almost every major video formats. Runs on Linux, BSD, Mac OS and Windows. Simplistic and minimal UI.

Nachteile:

Lacks some interesting transitions and effects. Lack of timeline which is important for a video editor.
