Just what we needed.

Kommentare: Buidxact has sped up our estimating and the templates we've created have made us a lot more efficient.

Vorteile:

It's easy to use, being able to upload the drawings and do the takeoffs has saved us heaps of time.

Nachteile:

While it's not really a con, we already use a CRM and project management software for our jobs and cost tracking so these features aren't really relevant to us.

Vorteile:

Buildxact is easy to use and set up. The support team are great and are also following up to see that you are okay, even after the problem has been resolved.

Nachteile:

The purchasing process could be a lot better

Daily Usage for Renovation Industry

Kommentare: I quite like the program but the reporting is very lacking so we rely heavily on XERO to do this part.

Vorteile:

That is works well with XERO to track expenses according to each job

Nachteile:

That there is no search feature in the Actuals. In the building industry there are so many different items used and a search to find an item would be handy.

We found [sensitive content hidden] had so mcuh intellectual property about Buildexact, and had the patience to share , and teach , which was very helpfull , she really knows her stuff also, her explaining of features in the sofware was so easy to adapt . her call backs were on time , great asset to the company .

I can put together a $400,000 landscaping estimate together in an hour, super fast. And having used an excel sheet prior and accidentally deleted fields, it's nice to know this doesn't happen

Nachteile:

I do not put through purchase orders as it means double handling with having to enter receipts into xero

Exceptional Customer Service

Vorteile:

I have now been in business as a builder since the beginning of 2020 (basically right at the start of COVID). For two years I was using a different platform, and for the past year BuildXact. I was constantly stuffing up my estimates and bleeding money using the old platform, but since changing over to BX and building up my own custom template, I've now done three major extension/renovations through your software and every single one has been profitable!Whilst I'm never satisfied and I'm always tinkering and making improvements to my template, I think my estimates are now really high quality and I'm also winning work based on the professional look of the quote letter.It's been such a massive positive change for my business and I hope my business can remain profitable and healthy into the future using BX and a couple of other handy digital tools.

Nachteile:

Costs are high, takeoff features could do with some improvments, no plan annotation feature for use with tablet/ stylus

Buildxact for the win!

Kommentare: I am solving my scheduling and project tracking bottlenecks. This program makes it very easy for the client, and myself, to understand (visual - Gant chart) our overall project progress and what employees are working on what portions of our project.

Vorteile:

Integration with my past, current, and future projects was easy. Buildxact is user friendly, and the technical support team is very responsive.

Nachteile:

I don't have anything negative to mention about Buildxact at this time. Sometimes, having multiple windows open will create a lag in refreshing the data entered, but this is a highly user-friendly program overall.

Completely overhauled our business model

Kommentare: It has been a great journey, wouldn't change a time. Buildxact team have been super helpful the entire journey.

Vorteile:

The customizable templating and recipes building has streamlined our processes and estimating take offs, reducing time and improving accuracy.

Nachteile:

Estimate costing screen needs margin and markup options, and showing the total exclusive of tax

Great Support

Kommentare: Customer support is what has really set you guys apart from everyone else and one of the main reasons we went with buildxact. Keep it up

Vorteile:

We loved the wide range of things we could do with this software. A one stop shop for our costing, scheduling and backcosting.

Nachteile:

We would love a timeline longer than a month to be visable on the dashboard to see all our builds over say a year span. We would also love some more new zealand suppliers. I also struggle sometimes when recipes update wrong or not at all from the categlogue to the esitmate.

My Buildxact review

Kommentare: Estimate writing is much easier, and more reliable than previously done. I just tried another software package for 6 weeks. Had thought of making the change on based on monthly Pricing. What I have here may be a bit more per month, but the overall savings on time, reliability, presentation organization, is worth much more.

Vorteile:

The ease of Authoring the Quote. Being able to create and add Categories and line items keeps the quotes organized and easy to review. I like my quotes to be presented chronologically as the work will be progressed. The ability to Move categories, and or individual items is great. And simple as this sounds, being able to insert a line where ever I want, is priceless.

Nachteile:

I have only used this software for the writing of quotes. After 1.5 years of use, the only shortfall I have is to be able to total out individual items throughout the quote such as labor, materials, equipment.

Abroenet Constructions - BX review

Kommentare: It has been a great addition to my business with its integration to xero and deputy.

Vorteile:

I love the estimating, the take off tool within the estimating section. Its easy to convert a quote to a project. It links to my suppliers pricing which means i should always have the most up to date pricing avaialble

Nachteile:

Dont like that you pay per user, not just per account. Or have a residential package to suit up to 5 users say. The timeline scheduling, unless I'm not using correctly is difficult to edit and frustrating so i dont use it like i probably should. Love that it links to xero and Deputy

Admin in Construction New to Buildxact

Kommentare: I have picked it up quite well, the more I use it the more comfortable I am with it. The support is just amazing

The support is spot on and reliable with a very quick response through the chat software

Nachteile:

The reverse integration of Xero to Buildxact ( although I hear it's on its way). Daily logs for staff on site to share progress.

Nachteile:

I think $260 per month is a bit expensive.

Benefits Of using Buildrxact

Kommentare: It is truly a great software to use for estimation. However, if there is one thing i have to make a comment is about the presentation of the spec.

Vorteile:

Take Off Feature helps me to speed up with my estimating.

Nachteile:

Price Update, I find it is very hard to update the pricelist if it contains lots of items.

BuildXact - An Investment, NOT a Cost

Kommentare: We use it daily and is an integral part of what we do, currently managing 17 builds at a time from start to finish and easy to do so.

Vorteile:

Project Management from start to finish made easy.

Nachteile:

Multiple users on one job can cause some miscommunication within the software.

Buildxact - Estimating Game Changer

Kommentare: Estimates are so much quicker. I have been an estimator for over 20years and this system makes my job so much easier and faster.

Vorteile:

The digital take-off is by far the best part of this software in my opinion. When linked to Recipes I can complete a full estimate far quicker then I ever have using other systems. Very easy to use and set up.

Nachteile:

It woud be great if you could have a report while still in estimating stage of all Cost Centres with Recipes allocated, not being able to add more than one item at a time is a pain.

Nachteile:

customising templates. we have struggled trying to integrate our logos and additional info into the quoting template

Residential Home Builder / Remodel

Vorteile:

Hands down the best product I have ever used. Their technical support is beyond the best that I have ever encountered in any product. I have had many customers tell me that our quotes are the best quotes that they have ever received for any kind of product.

Nachteile:

Wish that they were connected to more suppliers, but they are working on improving that.

Great all round software

Kommentare: Love using the software and makes my job as a builders wife significantly easier and would highly recommend the software to all looking for an al rounded building software that does, quoting, takeoffs, job management and job tracking etc.

Vorteile:

Takeoffs are a breeze, proposals look and present well. The costing and profit and loss is also great

Nachteile:

Needs to have a good app that we can use easily on-site, the portal needs works before I will start suing as this would be a more site friendly/ ie app for messages etc and photo upload

Streamlined and revolutionised

Kommentare: We are all now accountable for work now that everything can be traced and accurately recorded. It showed us the holes in our business prior, and we have streamlined all our processes off the back of shifting to BX.

Vorteile:

The ease of tracking costs when integrated with Xero has made administering projects ever so simple. To follow a project from conception to completion is priceless.

Nachteile:

The profit & loss and work in progress could be a little easier to understand.

Review from a designers perspective

That there is no material list for the designer. Not everything you put into the invoice needs to be showcased to the client
