Kommentare: I as a user love the way I can use my social sign in to quickly break the line and enter the profile and start working. As an admin, I want my users to feel the same experience.

Vorteile:

I love this product for various reason, I love it for its capability to in quick way and manage-ability via dashboard. oauth 2.0 runs behind this platfrom, which enabled any user on our website to authorize itself to our offerrings without creating a password at our site. This not only saves efforts of user, but builds credibility that password is not being shared/strored on site servers. This is ultimate way to increase the user traffic by providing seemless logging in experience.

Nachteile:

Best thing is you get pre-hosted ready to use oauth via oauth.io. Saves a lot of management hassles. No cons at all at this range of pricing.

OAuth and laravel integration

Kommentare: I have had a positive overall experience with OAuth. I have found it to be a secure, convenient, and flexible authentication and authorization framework. I have used it to integrate with a variety of different applications, and I have found it to be easy to implement and use. One of the things I like most about OAuth is that it allows me to grant access to my data and resources to third-party applications without sharing my passwords. This is important to me because it helps to protect my privacy and security.

Vorteile:

OAuth is a very secure way to authenticate users and authorize access to resources. User credentials are never shared with third-party applications, and access tokens are short-lived and can be easily revoked. makes it easy for users to connect their accounts to different applications. They only need to log in to their account once and then grant permission to each application.

Nachteile:

OAuth applications need to make additional requests to get minimal user information. This can be annoying for users, and it can also impact the performance of the application.

Not the standard OAuth

Vorteile:

It's a OAuth provider library, appears to have nice features. Their site is very convincing. Nothing else.

Nachteile:

It's a misleading tool if you looking for the standard OAuth. They try to sell a service, which is not necessary for most users.

Easy OAuth configuration for GitHub credentials

Vorteile:

I bought a canned IoT device with Debian image - it had integrated code for oauth <> github integration...but it didn't work. I'm not a developer, so I didnt know where to start. There's a quick start guide that tells you where to go, what changes to make...and they provide a back-end test harness to validate oauth.io <> github integration success...as well as a front end code sample to validate from your client. Could not have been easier! I did have to contact support as I'm a newbie, but they were spot on with help and configuration advice. Much appreciated!

Nachteile:

The only issue I had, and it is completely understandable due to privace/security, is that the baked in image from debian had saved oauth credentials. There is no way for me to look up who that app owner is, or at least I could not find it, so instead of having the original app owner update their app for everyone and republish to the debian image site, everyone will have to make their own apps in github/oauth.

What I like most about this product is that it is an easy tool to learn and understand. Our partners are able to integrate the authentication method in to their code very easy.

Nachteile:

The account owner has to be apart of the process in order for this to work. We sometimes get partners that need access to data to provide info to clients and sometimes they are not too happy with the oauth flow. We then have to provide an alternate way the client will grant access to share data

Vorteile:

Of all of the challenges that come with web development, none is more critical than the gatewayhat gives your users access. I have developed custom logins (not impossible, but VERY time consuming) and used a number of prefab units in the past. None give me (and, therefore, my clients) the safety and security of OAuth. This software, once installed, gives you a Fort Knox-like entryway that leaves no doubt anout the identity of the user attempting access. Since I first used OAuth I have recommended it to every client since.

Nachteile:

NOT for the novice coder. This isn't one of those user-friendly building blocks. If you want the security offered by OAuth get an experienced coder to install it for you.

Oauth authentication seemed like it would be tough, but it was easy to setup in a few minutes. Six months later when I had a question about an advanced feature support helped me out.

Nachteile:

It does have a recurring monthly charge (although not a large one)

Hosted oauth which works as advertised while remaining affordable.

Nachteile:

Interface dashboard can be clunky, although it's not something which you frequently need to use so it doesn't bother me.

Vorteile:

How easy and well documented everything was. It cost me a total of 10 minutes of integrating the sign in flow!

Nachteile:

There were some outdated dependencies, but I fixed that in a few minutes.

Very easy tool offering everything one needs to set up authentication

Kommentare: With OAuth I have configured several SSO mechanisms for several customers, managed their access to the application and used several sign in protocols. I have also managed credentials using this tool.

Vorteile:

The best part about OAuth is that it is extremely easy to set up and save a lot of time when configuring authorization to web and mobile applications. It offers a vast choice of security features that are always at the newest security standards, which makes me certain that this authentication tool is a safe way to go even with my biggest customers. With OAuth I was able to create custom single sign on mechanisms throughout my experience with Software development and it was very helpful from the very beginning of my IT adventure.

Nachteile:

Dashboard interface is not as intuitive as it could be, but after a while one can get used to it and use the full potential of the OAuth platform with no problems.

Best way to login

Kommentare: Allowing users to use a plethora of existing accounts to make a new one is great for us and them.

Vorteile:

The authorization method of allowing users to use existing accounts to create and manage new ones is the future of online accounts.

Nachteile:

There are no specific problems I have with this software, I find it very useful and worthwhile to use.

Necessary evil to have to deal with

Kommentare: I do think it is necessary for a platform to use. Research all available options.

Vorteile:

Overall we were able to connect and use it which really helped secure authentication and help to provide access to multiple web platforms.

Nachteile:

Found the documentation to be lacking which made integration take longer, though I believe they have since improved in this area. I also only used a free trial and no longer use this software.

Great software for authentification

Vorteile:

It was just so simpleto integrate it in our wordpress website. It has great security and all is done instantly, one of the best authentificator on the market. Very impressed also with the security and the pricing sistem.

Nachteile:

Some custom modifications were needed for wordpress, but was done by our programmers in a short while.

Great support experience!

Vorteile:

I tried the free tier to pull out a POC project within a short time. Got one question during implementation. Chatted the team and got replied the next day with detailed instruction(turned out I didn't set up the API integration). Works with ease. Great support experience.

Nachteile:

It will be helpful if the easiest implementation demo can be added to the quick set up section in the documentation.

Best authentication SDK you can find

I like the most that its secure and simple to use, the sdk is very well documented and out of the box you already have all social media sites for users to login

Nachteile:

Nothing negative that i can think of except the beta version in the begining, but that was beta..
