Nachteile:

Die Erzeugung von Planköpfen ist komplizierter und bei REVIT besser gelöst ;)

Is AutoCAD Architecture Worth It?

Kommentare: This software always brings out the creative in you. It is always coming to the rescue when I least expect it so I plan on using it furthermore in the future.

Vorteile:

This software comes with tools that allow me to model my buildings in 3D and comes with loads of options on how to create a set of architectural drawings. I can manipulate physical properties with certain parameters and drive the geometry accordingly by changing the value in the properties palette. I can even create door and window schedules based on components that are in the model I'm working on.

Nachteile:

I really wish that AutoCAD (VANILLA) and AutoCAD Architecture were integrated as one sometimes, it would make my life so much easier.

AutoCAD Architecture: The Leader in Architectural Software

Kommentare: My overall experience with AutoCAD Architecture has been a positive one. Once I completed my first concept drawing, I was pleased to see our architect come up with much the same thing, using the same software. A vote of confidence from the industry solidified my impression of the software.

Vorteile:

AutoCAD Architecture provides an easy to use, yet powerful interface for designing homes and other structures. When the time came to do a renovation on our home, I tried several alternatives before settling on AutoCAD Architecture as the most viable option. All of the other software suites lacked the functionality I sought in terms of views, materials control, snapping, dimensioning, and more. I had initially thought I would simply be using plain AutoCAD, but AutoCAD Architecture has enough architectural-specific features that made home design so much easier (standard thicknesses for walls; blocks for windows, appliances, etc.).

Nachteile:

AutoCAD can be a bit overwhelming for the uninitiated/untrained. I had lots of experience with standard AutoCAD as an engineer, but was worried AutoCAD Architecture might be too complex. That concern turned out to be unfounded as there are many helpful teaching videos available online. After a half hour of how-to's, I was up and running without incident.

Outdate product that could use some big updates

Vorteile:

AutoCad is straightforward and simple. It gets the job done but just not always in the most efficent manner.

Nachteile:

The product freezes too much, or worse, shuts down if you ask too much of it - resulting in lost work, constantly (good look finding your backup file saved somewhere.) Some tasks are backward, or shortcuts to make your work production easier are hidden in the depths of the menu bars, impossible to figure out. The fact that you cannot change shortcut keys for certain tools is obscene, you need to essentially write code in order to do this. The software is not made for the user, and it seems like they do bare minimal updates to move it along.

The software is highly compatible with many other products. There are unending resources available and supported by most if not all industries in one form or another which makes our job easier.

Nachteile:

Can be cumbersome at times and has glitches that require work arounds. There are times where the program freezes up and requires reboot.

Kommentare: I am a self taught CAD operator who designs small houses and AutoCAD helped me a lot and is still helping me to this day even though I am still learning more, it is a good software that really helped me.

Vorteile:

AutoCad is a very good CAD software because it is user friendly and it delivers quality graphics that encourage creativity, and it has a lot of features that can be added on and manipulated, which makes it a perfect Draughting tool for Architects old and new.

Nachteile:

It took me too long to get a hang of everything, but truth be told, whatever I learned stayed with me because it was easy to apply, I feel it has a lot of features that need to be learnt first before everything is clearer.

3D AUTOCAD FOR ARCHITECTURE

THE LIBRARY GAVE ME DOORS AND WINDOWS, THAT I COULD CHANGE THE MEASURE AS I NEEDED IT.

Nachteile:

SOMETIMES THE ELEMNTES THAT I INSERTED WENT CRAZY ON THE MEASURMENT , SO FOR EXAMPLE, THE DOORS WOULDN´T SHOW .

Kommentare: AutoCAD ultimately has no comparison, this version improved on the previous one. Its automated function for smart windows or the ease of creating detailed plans and drawings at any time are some of the functions that we liked the most.

I like to Using this to Layered, Sketch. It's very useful to Coordinates the Google-map. its easy to import files to another modelling software

Import and export data quality is little poor its little bit harder to change Units. configuration is this software is harder to adapt

Best Architectural Software Ever

Kommentare: Initially, it was really difficult to help a customer appreciate how his or her project will look like and it took more time to put together sketches in a way that customers can understand.
However, with this software, it has become easy to interact with customers about designs they may have in mind.
with the help of this software, customers get a better idea as to how their intending projects will look like when finally executed.

Vorteile:

The modification features such as Trim, offset, layers, etc have been very impactful. The software is very easy to use. It turned out that this software has the solutions that my company so desired. hence, its integration into the company was really easy

Nachteile:

I wish you can introduce the ability to import PDF files and either convert or work directly on such files in AutoCAD. I will also be happier if I could import RXF files and work on them. However, my company is happy about what we're accomplishing thus far with this software.

It is workflow efficient that alows you to easily edit, replicate and import works from previous designs and customize your projects to fit any requirements. Best of all, it allows you to publish with ease to what ever scale you require. And Its not CPU or Ram intensive so you can use it without buying an expensive high performance PC. Overall, its a designer's best toolkit.

Nachteile:

Over the years, they tried to merge the 2D and 3D functionality together resulting in Bulky software that causes a huge lag on systems. It also had compatibility issues with old designs you had from previous software releases. And lastly, there were bugs when it came to importing fonts and measurement scales that were implemented by other designers when working in group works, but now it is great to see these problems resolved.

AutoCAD Architecture is the best software for 2 & 3D architecture

Kommentare: Using AutoCAD Architecture, I created architectural and construction drawings, which I then presented to clients and persuaded them of their value. It was the best thing that had occurred to me in my professional and practical life. As a student in the Faculty of Engineering, I learned AutoCAD in my first year and was able to separate myself from my peers through my AutoCAD drawings and projects. Greatest tool for an engineering company.

Kommentare: Autocad has helped us create precise drawings really easily, it's libraries are so complete that most of the drawings are almost pre drawn. If you can afford it's really high price then it's totally worth it.

Vorteile:

Autocad is extremely powerful, it is a drawing tool that can work for any type of situation, we have created electrical, mechanical, civil and architectural plans with it, also room designs and layouts. It has so many features that make the use of other cad tools unnecessary if you can afford it.

Nachteile:

It can be overwhelming, since there are so many comands you need to know just to perform the most simple actions such as drawing a circle or a line, it could be more streamlined. Also it is really expensive.

Its a great tool for doing site and initial schematic design, but cumbersome for complex projects

Vorteile:

Its the original computer aided drafting software and has been used by everyone in the construction industry. Its solid and works great. With a little bit of training its pretty simple to use and doesn't require extensive knowledge of 3d software. It does have the feature and is a good start into the 3D world. I love its compatibility with all other autodesk products and can't be linked into Revit easily. Its cheaper than Revit though and is bundled with that as well. Most fabricators and shops still use it so its a must to have if you are in the construction industry.

Nachteile:

Its definitely a bit old school and not really the software you should base your practice around. Its BIM capabilities are very lacking. It does have some 3D capabilities, but the interface is cumbersome and not easy to use for first time users.

new to autoCad?

I would say, the most remarkable thing for professionals looking for floor plan presentations and architectural details for construction mostly, once you get the basics on the menu and keyboard shortcuts, its the friendly and easy workflow you can achieve from having a rough sketch and measures.

Nachteile:

one thing I dislike is the difficult task of plotting on a given scale, its a real pain for most of us non architects.

I use this product in work everyday, almost all day. I have grown very familiar with the software.

I like that it was fairly easy to learn the basics of the software. I was able to adequately use the program with very little time learning the software beforehand. I also like how well the software helps you learn more of the functions and features that it offers, the more that you use it.

Nachteile:

I dislike that the software has seemed to reach a plateau in its capabilities. It seems that other software that provide similar services have caught up to AutoCAD. It seems that AutoCAD is progressing slower than other software.

Although all versions are not compatible it is possible to save the drawing is older versions so if needed can be edited in older version. It can handle very big and complex drawings.

Nachteile:

As it keep updating the software, it is more inconvenient for compatibility of the versions. It takes a lot of time to learn to use correctly all the functions.
