Eine große Hilfe für die Auswertung von Transkripten bei Abschlussarbeiten

Vorteile:

Durch die Code-Funktion konnte ich Transkripte übersichtlich auswerten und miteinander vergleichen. Das hat mir sehr viel Zeit gespart und ich hatte eine transparente Übersicht über das Gesagte. Im Vergleich zu Excel eine riesen Zeitersparnis!

Nachteile:

Habe ich in der Zeit meiner Nutzung keine gefunden!

Good access for Education Institution

Kommentare: The cloud version is the one of choice for initial users and has reasonable pricing. I mostly use that one. I'd recommend the local version for mid to advanced users. The speed of the work increases a lot with the AI functions, that is something you will be using with big amounts of data.

Vorteile:

Pricing is good for educational first users and students get free trials and discounts. That's especially useful for students and teachers abroad, who end up paying from their pockets. The software is stable and work amazingly.

Nachteile:

The learning curve is complex. I recommend watching the tutorials and using the learning options more than once. It's like other specialized software. It will take a while to get the most out of it, and it can turn expensive sometimes.

An Essential Tool for Qualitative Researchers

Vorteile:

Atlas is a user-friendly software. It allows us, qualitative researchers, to have all our research material in one place – images, video, or transcripts. It is also a handy feature to rename the documents already uploaded to Atlas.It does not do the analysis itself and gives the researcher the tools to use their skills and creative mind. This software design is essential to ensure the authenticity and novelty of data analysis and research output. It is also a significant bonus to have the Atlas tutorials readily available on the web and their support team, which is very responsive and eager to help via live chat and email.

Nachteile:

Two people cannot work synchronously. One person must work, save, and send the project to the other. The cloud and simultaneous collaboration features need further improvement to increase the collaboration capacity.

Desktop version is great, but stay away from the web version

Kommentare: Important product to perform literature research or qualitative analysis. Desktop version is good and helps especially with scientific work. Just do not use the web version, then you can be sure that you can work well on your project.

Vorteile:

Files are easy to import and you also save time on literature searches because you only have to read books once and then you can easily search for statements within all books.

Nachteile:

Web version works too slowly and errors occur when encoding PDF files. There are also problems when exporting projects, so that it is not even possible to continue working in the desktop version. Customer service definitely handles such cases too slowly.

Atlas.ti; the most user-friendly qualitative software

Kommentare: My experience with Atlas.ti has been awesome. It's data visualization abilities and code-document analysis helps derive more insights from data.

Vorteile:

The fact that I can group my codes and documents. Then view my findings with excellent and beautiful visualization tools does the magic for me.

Nachteile:

Statical analysis functionality of Atlas.ti is something I am yet to get a grasp of. I think it would be very helpful if a webinar is organised to sensitize users about this functionality.

Things to keep in mind

Kommentare: It is a software that requires time and testing exercises to understand how each of the tools works, but once this process is done you can achieve great mastery of its use. You also have personalized advice 24 hours a day by chat or zoom

Vorteile:

Virtual advice 24 hours a day that provides the tool to resolve doubts or concerns in the use of the software, in several languages

Nachteile:

The web version has many analysis tools in beta mode, which makes it difficult to work synchronously in a collaborative group. Therefore, it is necessary to work on the computer version to get the most out of the AI tools that have recently been incorporated.

A straightforward workbench

Kommentare: My overall experience with Atlas.ti is quite positive, including the support staff's quick responses and availability. I recommend it to colleagues and students and look forward to using it with enhanced AI features in the future.

Vorteile:

Atlas.ti does exactly as the title says - it is a very straightforward workbench, providing a handful of tools to enhance qualitative analysis, enabling a systematic and methodologically robust way to work.

Nachteile:

Data visualisation should also be exportable (which still needs to be 100% available, at least in the MacOS version). Although I appreciate the AI features are still in the beta phase, the limits of their functionalities should be more explicit so that the users would have realistic expectations and optimise their time and use of the tools.

Navigate through all academia stages with Atlas T.I.

Kommentare: My experience with Atlas T.I. has been excellent. I use the software every single day: as a student, professor and researcher.

Vorteile:

Atlas T.I. is a software that ease all type of academic work. Users can read, codify and analyze their course materials, develop literature reviews or conduct entire empirical or theoretical research. Atlas T.I. allows to work with different types of materials: documents, videos, images, news, media, social networks, etc. Furthermore, its analytical and visualization tools permit to arrive in relevant conclusions.

Nachteile:

I would like that Atlas would include tools like translations and transcriptions. This will make the workflow easier.

Practical and Complete

Kommentare: I believe Atlas.ti to be a practical and complete tool that helps a lot to organize data and providing insight to data analysis.

Vorteile:

The intuitive and free way of coding and the tools for registering meaning and insights.

Nachteile:

It has changed a lot over the years and although improvement is good, it generates new costs of learning.

ATLAS.ti crashed 😔

Kommentare: Good, very easy to navigate, and with the undo button its really easy to play around with some functions.

Vorteile:

It makes it to analyse the qualitative data, and i can always go back and change code, or merge or split, its quite helpful.

Nachteile:

Mine crashed, and i am not sure if there ia some information on how to go about that in the manual because I was just frustrated, because i could still open projects but the documents content was not showing in the main window, and i could not creat new project.

Teach yourself qualitative data analysis in days with ATLAs.ti

Kommentare: I am a positivist and often used quantitative analysis. But when i started my PhD studies, i venture into behavioral sciences and realized that i had to put meaning to figures,,....and gues what...when i discovered ATLAS.ti and explored its use through youtube training, within days i gradually became an expert in using it. I most importantly liked the area od qualitative positivism that blends well with advanced data analytics that bring out the best meanings attached to various sentiments from subjective respondents. We love you guys and keep the fire burning!!

Smooth landing into qualitative analysis

Kommentare: I'm new in qualitative data analysis and in the use of data analysis software. I'm not part of a team, but never felt alone. I have in hand not only the information on line (user manual, youtube videos, etc.), but especially the direct and quick personal attention to solve my doubts.

Vorteile:

Documents, dialogues, texts and words in general are a wide world: direct meanings along with subtleties, metaphores, ironies... I higly value how Atlas.ti facilitates to reach conclusion: the easines of coding, grouping, extracting co-occurences and word frequencies, elaborating my own queries, networks, etc.; and the visual sources it offers.

Nachteile:

I can think of a 2 particular details: not yet clear for me (from linguistics) what the coefficient mean in the co-occurrence tables; and still a bit messy for me to build some queries and networks.

User friendly and helpful support team

Kommentare: If you have lots of text and data to deal with, the software can help you to summarize and find the ideas and meanings from the massive data much more easily.

Vorteile:

Very easy to code, group, and analyze all my interview transcripts and other texts. The function is intuitional so that you can familiarize yourself with the coding and analyzing steps easily. Once you have any problem with the software, the online message and service mail from the support team is really helpful and instant-reply.

Nachteile:

New function-AI summary can do the summary only from the text and data, just to make the massive data short, but if you want to "read behind the data", we have the sensitivity of the issue and that's our job that AI still can not replace.

Kommentare: Overall, Atlas.ti was a good product to use for qualitative research as it streamlined the process where all information/data could be found, stored, reviewed and adjusted seamlessly.

Vorteile:

Atlas.ti made the compilation of codes from transcripts relatively easy with data discovery being easily accessible.

Nachteile:

Atlas.ti may be difficult to use at first without the proper training which can be frustrating where certain aspects with data analysis being more difficult than it needs to be.

Smooth user experience

Kommentare: Good and almost seamless user exerience

Vorteile:

Atlas.ti, especially the browser version is easy and fairly intuitively in its use. We worked with a team on a large set of interviews without major problems.

Nachteile:

In the browser version, grouping and classifying interviews could be made more easily accesible

Very easy to use, fast and saves time if you had done this before manually.

Nachteile:

Is kinda weird the subscription . I think that would be better language options visible for other countries buyers.

A product that helps me perform at a high level

Vorteile:

Atlas is intuitive and powerful. With very little support I am able to upload transcripts, code, organize, conceptualize an analysis that lets the story rise from the data.

Nachteile:

I ran into trouble with product renewal which was remedied with great customer support.

Nice tool for qualitative data analysis

Vorteile:

I think it is a great starter for qualitative data analysis. It is easy to organize and start with raw interview data. I also love how it is easy to visualize data with color codes.

Nachteile:

I think it's a great tool to begin data coding, but I use other tools for in-depth data analysis. After grouping the raw data, I use other tools like excel or miro to find higher level insights.

A very useful product

Vorteile:

Provides a very helpful system to analyse our large amounts of qualitative data. The interface is user friendly and there are plenty of tutorials and other resources to utilise in order to understand how to navigate the software. The web app is also good.

Nachteile:

Some formatting issues between the original text files and how it was displayed in ATLAS itself, but we were able to overcome this with some help from the support team.

Would recommand!

Vorteile:

Such an easy software to understand. I really loved the support ATLAS.TI offers. The people are really patient and are really there to make sure you are feeling supported. Small or big questions: you can always chat to them. I used their AI-tool to code my data and that worked great!

Nachteile:

At the beginning, it took Some time to get used to their options.

Use of ATLAS.ti

Kommentare: It is a very useful software but requires a lot of practice and familiarization.

ATALS.ti is an excellent software for data analysis, linking texts and ideas. It exceeds its possibilities for social sciences, since the possibility of relating concepts is useful for multiple fields.

Nachteile:

It would be useful to include more visualizations.

Qualitative tool for regional research LATAM

Kommentare: Great! Wery friendly, specially with teams with very diverse background and research skills

I like we could use the cloud version for different research teams, in different countries at the same time. Makes research collaboration much easier!

Kommentare: As a researcher in the area of social sciences, she considered that the Atlas.ti is a very practical computer program that allows the use of data obtained from particular spaces such as interviews, visits, participations in groups or communities, among others to group them in codes or categories and subcategories of agreement correspond to determine new categories, relationships that in some way qualitatively will respond to investigations. The Atlas.ti is easy to manage, and provides a lot of freedom to name the categories according to the researcher's criteria.

Nachteile:

As a researcher in the use of Atlas.ti, I have had problems when assigning documents to the hermeneutic unit, whether they are texts, images, audios, among others, since these files are stored on the hard disk in a particular address and can not be be embedded in the hermeneutic unit, therefore in Atlas.ti only the reference that directs the linked file is placed, a reference that will allow access to the documents, but if the address is changed the program gives problems to find it, and it can be lost the work done. However, despite this, it is very important that when analyzing with this tool, it is very important not to move the files where the data obtained in the research is held.
