Total robustness in disk cloning
Kommentare: Powerful and straightforward solution for professional disk cloning. Working with servers and workstation, this piece of software becomes a must in terms of reliability. Clonezilla works at low level on disk blocks to guarantee a 1:1 clone, preserving boot sectors and file structures on any disk.
- Solid kernel and boot process - Any file system supported - Fast and reliable read-write operation - Comprehensive options and setup - Low resource consuming. Good for older hardware.
- Not designed for non experienced users, requires experience and understanding of file systems and boot processes - Old fashion GUI can be surely improved, even keeping the terminal-look for maximum compatibility
A Great Open-Source Drive Tool
Kommentare: While lacking in some functions compared to paid competition and being less pretty, if Clonezilla does what you need it to it's hard to argue with its usability and wonderful price of absolutely free.
Clonezilla is a powerful drive tool that allows for backing up, cloning, and partitioning of drives. It boots off of a flash drive, making it independent from the OS of whatever other drives are on the computer. While not especially intuitive, Clonezilla provides powerful tools that have given me little problem, with some safeguards to prevent you from causing harm to your computers. One of my favorite instances of using Clonezilla was recovering a corrupted drive that would not even be detected by other free drive tools.
The interface is resembles some of the old DOS interfaces from the 90s, a far cry from more modern interfaces with even mouse support. Clonezilla is not intuitive to use, especially to those who aren't computer savvy. While Clonezilla supports any filesystem and file interface, it displays them using Linux's fileystem. Clonezilla also lacks some features compared to some paid options, such as backup scheduling, and granular backup control.
Classic cloning software, tricky to use
A reliable cloning/backup solution and does well to keep the size of cloned disks down. We use it to image Test PCs for easy wiping back to a clean state.
The UI is ugly and slow to navigate, making the software more laborious to use than it really should. It may be confusing for users not familiar with Linux, as it refers to disks as 'sda, sdb'.
Speed up Deployments with Clonezilla
Great tool make computer imaging go fast and it helps to speed up the deployment process.
Sometime you might get error or cloning does not work but all you have to do is make sure you have the latest version of clonezilla.
I have had a great experience with Clonezilla
Kommentare: Great software for cloning hard drives over multiple systems and formats
Clonezilla supports multiple file systems which is great as this means it works across multiple platforms. It is extremely efficient when it comes to cloning image files to different formats and over multiple hard drives. It is also affordable and easily when compared to its competitors.
Clonezilla does not offer as many features as its competitors and is often a bit slower in terms of the cloning process.
Great alternative to Norton Ghost
Kommentare: Open source software is my go to any chance I get.
Ease of use is at the top of the list. Second to that is the multiple configuration possibilities...
Flawless, have never experienced a problem with Clonezilla. SourceForge provides excellent open source alternatives.
Incredibly useful tool to have at your disposal
Kommentare: We recently purchased new machines to replace a handful of old ones, and they all needed an identical configuration. Clonezilla made it really easy to make an image and deploy it to all the new machines. I saved a lot of time that would have been spent tediously installing software and running configurations on all of them.
The software made it quick and easy to get going when I needed it, really helped me speed up the process in migrating to new computers.
As far as my use case scenario went, I didn't run into any problems so I have no cons to report.
What I like most about Clonezilla is how fast I can clone HDD and move to another. Its amazing.
When I first started using Clonezilla, there was somewhat of a learning curve. It took a little to understand and be at peace going through the options. First time users may experience the same.
Clonezilla for imaging
Kommentare: I have enjoyed working with this software, but I would probably try something else in the future.
I have used Clonezilla for making images of hard drives and producing ISOs. It does a pretty good job. There are many formatting options to choose from and best of all it is free. There are some “paid” versions as well. It works really well in what it is designed for, which is system deployment.
It seems to be a little hard to understand at time due to the many options and GUI.
Quick and easy way to clone drives.
It's fast and easy to use. Very fast cloning of hard drives.
Interface is not as intuitive as I would like.
Free and easy to use
This is a very easy to setup and use cloning software. It works well and is very reliable.
There is nothing I don't like about Clonezilla.
Drive cloning afordable and easy
Kommentare: If you have a large ammount of drives to clone or backup somewhere, this is the right tool.
This product has large support for various file systems, and supports cloning many types of drives. Easy to use and intuitive, does cloning in a flash.
Each version adds more options and uses. The hard part would be the use of command line, but an intuitive simple graphic option, makes thing easier.
My go-to for hard drive imaging
Kommentare: Free and effective - what more could you want?
It's free and extremely versatile - I use this any time I'm installing a new hard drive and want to image the existing drive onto the new hardware. Works every time, and you can even ignore bad sectors if the original drive is failing and you'd like to recover data.
It can be a little daunting at first, but just be patient!
So good it should be way more expensive
Kommentare: This has become my go-to imaging software for all new system builds or backups.
For being open source software this thing is amazing. Super fast & easy to clone disks & partitions, better than many paid alternatives.
Like most cloning software, it is sometimes difficult to clone larger source onto a smaller destination (even if there is room). You can do it with Clonezilla, but takes jumping through a few hoops.
Amazing partition and disk cloning.
Kommentare: I love the software once a month i clone my harddrive and send it to my cloud.
Very easy straight forward partition cloning. Save an exact copy of your desktop for a backup. Even keeps your settings.
Honestly there is not much i don't like about this. If you make a mistake or get an error it usually tells you how to fix it.
Kommentare: Clonezilla has been saving us time and work. The ease of migrating content from one hard drive to another with guaranteed operation, makes us use clonezilla whenever necessary.
The best tool to clone Windows or Linux computer. In recent times customers are migrating from Sata HD to SSD HDD, Clonezilla makes life easier because it is only necessary to create a clone of the old HD to the new, without having to reinstall everything again. This saves us work and time.
There is nothing negative so far to be described.
Create a clone of your computer.
Kommentare: Made a perfect clone of my computer
It supports many file types so you can clone almost any os with it. It does a good job cloning the computer. There is a good manual to help you learn the software.
There is no gui all done threw command line. its a steep learning curve to use. It is a bit slower to clone then other options out there.
Worked great when I wanted to install a larger hard drive and move info from old to new hard drive
Kommentare: cloned my hard drive to a larger hard drive no problems
Great support on their website on the entire process from beginning to end. Worked like a charm for me.
Can be quite confusing in terms of setup for booting for a not so computer smart person but there are guides on everything.
An good Alternative to Norton Ghost
Kommentare: - Clonning pc
