Eine unendliche Katastrophe ...
Kommentare: Wir waren vor Navan beim Anbieter Comtravo. Dieser hat unsere Anforderungen und Bedarfe vollumfänglich bedient, wir waren zufrieden. Dann wurde Comtravo vom Navan aufgekauft, zu diesem Zeitpunkt hieß die Firma noch TripActions. Ein Unternehmen aus den USA, die sich auch auf dem europäischen Markt als Geschäftsreisebuchungsportal etablieren wollten. Ab dem Moment der Übernahme war es eine Katastrophe. Das Portal war viel schlechter aufgebaut, bot einige notwendige Funktionen und Filtermöglichkeiten nicht, die Abbildung von Firmenraten zog sich unendlich hin, die Kostenübernahmen haben regelmäßig nicht funktioniert. D.h. der Reisende stand im Hotel und musste selbst zahlen. Die danach folgende Korrektur mit navan war zäh und zeitaufwendig. Eine Mitarbeiterin in der Buchhaltung war fast ausschließlich für die Bearbeitung der navan Abrechnungen und Korrekturen zuständig. Es wurde immer versprochen, dass es nur Startschwierigkeiten sind. Doch je mehr Beschwerden unsererseits kamen, desto weniger kam von den Ansprechpartnern bei navan zurück, bis wir schließlich komplett ignoriert wurden und wir daraufhin den Anbieter gewechselt haben, was die beste und einzig richtige Entscheidung war.
Vorteile:
Ausschließlich der Preis. 5 Euro pro Buchung pauschal. Aber das schlägt sich in der Qualität wieder. Siehe unter Nachteile.
Nachteile:
Der Umgang mit Kunden. Bei Problemen wird nicht geholfen. Die Hotline hilft bei Problemen und bietet kaum Unterstützung. Bei buchhalterischen Fragen das Gleiche. Falsch ausgestellte Rechnungen, falsche Währungen, falsche Steuerabzüge, die auch nach fast 2 Jahren, in denen wir nicht mehr Kunde sind, noch immer nicht korrigiert wurden. Seit 1,5 Jahren senden wir einmal im Monat eine Mail an einen maximal großen Verteiler, jedoch werden diese Anfragen ignoriert. Oder falls eine Rückmeldung kommt, wird zugesagt sich um das Thema zu kümmern, aber erhält anschließend kein Lebenszeichen mehr. Es wurde am Anfang viel versprochen, aber nicht umgesetzt.
Nicht vertrauenserweckend
Kommentare: Sehr wenig Kundenservice, kein Schulungsmaterial, im Allgemeinen sehr unseriöses Verhalten.
Vorteile:
Einfache Buchung von Reisemitteln, mehr positives kann ich nicht sagen
Nachteile:
Schlechte Übersicht der Website, als Abrechnungstool für den deutschen Markt unbrauchbar, von Navan wird viel versprochen aber wenig gehalten
Kein brauchbares Tool für den deutschen Markt
Kommentare: Wir nutzen inzwischen ein anderes Tool. Das Spart Zeit und Nerven.
Vorteile:
Die Auswahl an Flügen und Hotels ist gut. Der Chat funktioniert auch und es wird einem meist schnell geholfen.
Nachteile:
Die Abrechnung ist katastrophal und fehlerbehaftet. Für den deutschen Markt wirlich unbrauchbar.
Gute App aber schlechter Support

Kostenübernahme funktioniert nicht wie gewohnt, nach aufkauf unseres Anbieters hat sich der Support durch Navan verschlechtert.

Expense and Travel Management Tool
Vorteile:
Being multi-device SSO online software.Online travel management amongst others.
Nachteile:
Nothing to dislike since it meets all under one roof.
Customer Service can't be beat
Vorteile:
The customer service is fantastic. At the airport with flight delays, I can jump on a chat with a real person who will work to figure out alternatives. There have been some application quirks but hopping on with CS tended to fix the issues in short order. Our company also implemented "saving sharing" where the employee would get a cut of the savings - in the form of a gift card to Amazon or whatever - if they chose a travel option that was more economical then some threshold or average. This was a very popular feature.
Nachteile:
It didn't integrate well with Frequent Flyer status and sometimes failed to show options that were allowed under travel policy. For example, status that allowed selection of premium economy for free would sometimes not work right, and you'd have to call after the booking to get it fixed. Additionally, even though policy allowed for upgrade to business in some cases, the application still fired off a "this is out of policy" warning. It also wasn't always the cheapest option - in a couple cases booking directly through the airline was actually most cost effective.
Not worth the time or money
Kommentare: Poor. Not only have they created more problems than they solved, they are hard to work with, dishonest, and overly priced.
Vorteile:
That employees could book and have charges go onto the company card, cut back on employees having to use their own cards and get reimbursed.
Nachteile:
Cost of product. Higher than all of the others we reached this year in our attempt to find a better product.None of the books are actually discounted as they sold us on. Not only can our employees book the same rooms/flights cheaper going to Expedia, Priceline, or directly withe the hotel/airline, but we get charged for using Navan to book as well. One of their biggest selling points was we'd save money with the discounts they get. We don't.Customer service is definitely lacking. They have never been able to solve any problems, in fact they do a lot of back pedaling and changing receipts on the website to cover their tracks when something goes wrong. Have double charged us on multiple occasions, very difficult to get refunded without going to the credit card company. Have had receipts showing we used a credit, but then got charged for that 'credit' when booking on top of the full price of the tickets.

Kommentare: No longer need to book and expense my own travel - save money out of my own pocket.
Vorteile:
Being a road warrior (>125 miles with Delta a year) there is never a shortage of travel issues and problems, but Trip Actions quick customer service (chat function) is always there for you.
Nachteile:
- Please integrate the corporate discount rate with BonVoy, I continue to book my hotels outside the system to grab the best rate.
Trip Actions
Kommentare: TripActions has vastly exceeded all of my expectations. I was very concerned when we switched platforms recently, and I have been extremely pleased with the UI and experience.
Vorteile:
Tripactions is a very intuitive expense report and booking platform for travel. It has more capabilities than other platforms on the market and has the ability to generate reimbursements within 24 hours.
Nachteile:
Thus far, I haven't seen many cons to the product. The only hurdle can be that the trips have to be approved by a an approver prior to going to the booking page. That is more of an internal issue.

Best travel software I've used

Vorteile:
Customer service is likely one of the best things TripActions has to offer. Whenever a flight gets delayed/cancelled or something is going on they always let me know before the airline even does. Plus it's great to get Amazon credit for booking within the company asks. Product is easy to use and never gives me headaches like Concur used to do.
Nachteile:
Nothing really comes to mind if I'm being honest.

SO easy to use! I love the 24/7 hour support and the help that the Trip Actions team provides for me. They make painful travel extremely painless. I have recommended TripActions to several of my friends. Also - the rewards are awesome!

The colors, sometimes the vast number of options can be confusing... other than that - really nothing!

Kommentare: Terrible. They want me to pay thousands of dollars even after admitting their system handled my use case oddly. This software looks slick, but isn’t ready for large companies that need to handle many personas & use cases.
Vorteile:
The support people are nice, but ultimately cannot resolve problems.
Nachteile:
1- the UX for booking & cancellation are different. 2- the cost for misunderstanding is extraordinarily high 3- support takes forever & cannot resolve issues 4- bookings are charged to your credit card by Navan as well as any airlines involved (e.g. 1 flight through Delta and Air France was initially billed 3 times)
The best tools to achieve comprehensive control of various expenses
Kommentare: TripActions is an important tool for all companies and groups because it allows us to manage expenses professionally and control the spending process, especially when it comes to external missions. The records that are prepared allow officials and decision makers to easily check the expenses schedule and know the reasons for their disbursement and who paid. This ensures that the money is spent correctly.
Vorteile:
I like TripActions' modern user interface and dashboard because it simplifies the implementation of operations with sufficient flexibility, especially when executing flight and hotel reservations during external missions. TripActions allows us to put all these operations under strict control and ensure that appropriate offers are obtained and that the budget is not exceeded. Due to its close connection with the cloud, this gives us greater freedom to download data and access records at any time, especially since we use it a lot through the mobile app, which allows us to easily scan receipts and invoices and empty the data from them automatically and send it to the direct official, as well as track its status and know the exchange dates. I like how my phone notifies me of all movements at a given time, especially money transfers.
Nachteile:
TripActions is a basic application that doesn't demand a lot of professional time. I had no problems using it, and I recommend it to everyone.

I love Trip Actions! In my role I travel a lot for university recruiting (mostly in the US and Canada). What I love most about the tool is: -ease of use. it's super easy to keep organized with tripactions. all my traveling can become pretty confusing, so I appreciate having the specific itineraries. It's so great to have ALL of my trip info (flight, hotel, rental car etc) in the palm of my hand, in one centralized location. also the app UI is super user friendly -customer support: super friendly, helpful, and timely -trip action points: i love love love being able to collect points for my travel when i save SurveyMonkey money. i really love having the option to cash in for amazon gift card or personal travel -ability to book personal travel: i often book mine and my families personal travel via trip actions. unfortunately it's not always cheaper, but it is more convenient to have everything in one place
Nachteile:
Just today actually i experienced a functionality that i'd like to be updated. For context, i'm going on two separate university recruiting trips to san diego in the fall (one is september, one in october). both of these trips were merged into one itinerary, likely because it's the same location. however when i reached out to your customer support team, they said that once a trip is merged, you can't unmerge it. i wish you could because it's confusing to look at two separate trips in one itinerary.
Horrible for business travelers
Kommentare: It feels like nobody who works there actually flies frequently themselves. Thus, they never adequately address my needs. It is SO frustrating. This is literally the only company I've ever sought out to actively negatively review. They're masking a bad travel experience with a pretty user interface for booking.
Vorteile:
The interface is easy to use. However, pretty products do not create for a great user experience--depth of integration and customer service do that.
Nachteile:
For business travelers who have status on multiple airlines, this software is pretty miserable. TripActions serves as the barrier between me and my carrier of choice. It feels like nobody who works there actually flies frequently themselves. All I want to do is to be able to contact the airlines myself or have better integration so that 1) I can change things without a third party. In Southwest, I can't change in the app if my flight is late, or if I want to switch (at no cost due to my status) to an earlier flight. With Delta, due to loyalty, often if I call, they will waive change fees for me. However, with TripActions, the integration isn't there and a third party is negotiating on your behalf. It's ineffective and time consuming. Their change fees have to be approved by a manager--this makes it hard to switch flights last-minute and get home sooner. 2) My upgrades aren't invalidated. YUP! You read that right! Because the integration with TripActions and Delta is poor, I am not able to book my seat with status through TripActions. I always end up calling Delta directly to get upgraded. Most recently, though, on a long haul flight from LAX to NYC, Delta confirmed my upgrade, but when I went to check in, I found out TripActions invalidated it when they saw my new class of seat didn't match the initial one I booked. This results in me spending HOURS on the phone/chat feature between Delta and TripActions.

Best Travel & Expense Management Software
Kommentare: My overall experience was outstanding!
Vorteile:
The software was the greatest travel & expense management software I've ever used. The software is very user friendly and has great features, in booking and submitting expenses with the credit card option. When using the software and credit card for business, company reimbursements are the fastest I've ever experienced.
Nachteile:
I actually have nothing bad to say about this software. It is by far the best I've used of its kind.

Pros and cons
Kommentare: Generally good attitude towards tripactions. Coming from non managed our team isn’t crazy about the change, but that’s more of an change management issue. Without the rewards there isn’t anything that employees are crazy about.
Vorteile:
CSM’s are great. Help desk team usually is really responsive and helpful. Booking fees are definitely a little on the expensive side. Their reps can go and negotiate rates on our behalf.
Nachteile:
Small issues with single sign on. This tickets been open for quite some time. Wished that could prioritize this and close the loop
Fun way to book work travel
Kommentare: I really look forward to booking work travel on TripActions so I can try to earn Amazon dollars. It can just be tough to do so when traveling to the Bay Area because everything is so expensive.
Vorteile:
As an employee, I really like that I can earn Amazon gift cards for booking affordable travel options. And I’m sure my employer likes that more budget friendly options are incentivized.
Nachteile:
It can be kind of tough to search for hotels, if you’re looking for a specific place that you’ve already decided to stay.
TripActions self-serve booking is a must
Vorteile:
TripActions is the next best thing to having a travel planner for each employee. I've used it both as an admin and a user. I love being able to book for myself, customize the trip to my own schedule and know I am booking within the preset company policy.I am also able to book for the executives at my company, through the delegation feature, which is essential for executive assistants. Being able to store all of our travel info -- rewards accounts, KTN, etc -- in the same place is invaluable. For companies on the go, it is the best option.
Nachteile:
You won't have access to every available flight or hotel. That said, I've always found a wide selection of options included and never felt overly limited.
No option for Cancellations

Needed to cancel hotel reservations, was told by tripactions that they spoke to a manager at said hotel and was not willing to accept the cancellation. I personally approached the hotel management and explained the situation, was told that noone from tripactions called and they would cancel reservation at no charge.
In my opinion, trip actions just was trying to take advantage .

I do not like the software. Do not see the cost savings

No option for cancellations when schedules change.

Great Tool to Quickly Book Travel
Vorteile:
I love being able to compare hotels in one spot quickly. You also can't beat the Amazon rewards. Its a great money saver for my company, and a great reward for fiscal responsibility. I also like having a quick itinerary I can access via the app with all my trip details
Nachteile:
One thing that is still extremely frustrating is changing a flight or hotel. I can do this task in a matter of seconds on an airlines website, yet I still have to engage with a human via chat on TripActions to change details of trip. Recently, I needed to change a couple of flights and it took 14 minutes for me to get it all sorted. There needs to be a quick and easy way to change travel plans yourself, particularly flights, without having to chat with anyone.

Vorteile:
I like the filters for navigating the platform. It makes it very easy to find hotels, flights, and rental cars. I love getting money back while saving my company money. This has to be the best model in the industry.
Nachteile:
I do find that some hotels do not get listed on the site by cross referencing them to a home site like marriott.com.
