Sortly was so easy to implement

Kommentare: Love Sortly. Use it every week sometimes every day, and it has been a great addition to our bag of tools at our company.

Vorteile:

The staff position at our office that was responsible for this information has been replaced a handful of times while I have been in this office. The guy there when I was first hired bought a competitors software. I setup the local server for him, connected his iPad to it, and my phone. But before we could use it, I told him that he was going to have to configure it, and determine how he wanted to manage the inventory. It wasn't until 3 people later that Sortly was purchased and put to use the same day that we actually had an inventory up and running.

Nachteile:

I use a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3. Previously a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The support team worked with me on the Note 9 due to a text size issue and the issue was mostly solved; however, I have yet to report that the problem is quite prominent in the Fold 3 and so they still have some work to do with their Text Flow/layout. At least on the Android side, but I don't know how much that would be their fault so much as it is the problem with Android allowing such a wide variety of configurations that every company wants to put their own spin on that I'm sure it can be a daunting task for them to address.

Sortly for inventory managment

Kommentare: I like it. It is not our main inventory tracker but has allowed us to integrate with what we are doing so we do not lose all information if someone accidentally deletes an excel or Google doc file.

Vorteile:

I love how we are able to track our products and inventory for our additional warehouse. It gives us visibility although it is not staffed 24/7.

Nachteile:

We track a lot with expiration dates. While we can add this feature into the programming, it is tougher to do when we have numerous cases of the same product with different expiration dates. Each group must be put in separately.

Absolutely no customer service

Vorteile:

Pictures. Would be relatively easy to use with Pugh all the glitches

Nachteile:

Have had nothing but problems with this program. It is very simple programming errors that they seem not to care about or address at all. Every time we have had issues, we try to call, but there is no number they just make you email. However I receive a response saying they will get back to us and then never respond from there. We are basically just communicating with a computer system with no human interaction. Problems we have: (1) website doesn’t communicate with app and is severely delayed. (2) Items don’t update when you edit them. For instance, I change a quantity on an item, press save, and it doesn’t update. Have to do that about ten times or more for it to register. Causes major problems. (3) when you move like items back into a folder, they don’t merge. So if you have 2 of the same item, move one over to a stage, and then move it back, it duplicates the item instead of merging back with the original. OVERALL LOTS OF PROBLEM AND ABSOLUTELY NO HELP ON BEHALF OF SORTLY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEM WITH LOTS OF GLITCHES, THIS IS FOR YOU!

Useful for inventory identification and tracking

Kommentare: In commercial construction for a flooring company, I use Sortly to catalog our overstock items available for our sales reps and walk-ins alike for easy and quick browsing. Photos, details, and quantities are nice to be able to offer and I can export records of everything or inside of set parameters (for example, rolled carpet over 75SF in the color brown) based on whatever information I entered about the product upon record creation. It has helped to keep these items easily viewable for those not located at this office and separate from our regularly inventoried products.

Vorteile:

Sortly's easy to acclimate to and fill with your products, mobile apps offer a smooth 1:1 experience paired with web based tools.

Nachteile:

UOM not having more options (SY) and having export pre-sets (i.e. field display settings for sharing exports with a customer or internally - with/without costs for example).

Great app/software

Kommentare: This has changed my job as manager of Inventory for an office space! It is so much easier to get things sorted when they can be counted in a flash, instead of having to use an excel spreadsheet.

Vorteile:

I love that we can assign our own barcodes or Sortly will make them up for us. Also, that anyone can use it through their own phone, so it negated the need for several additional physical items to keep track of.

Nachteile:

It was a bit expensive. Also, it took a learning curve to figure out that the imported items folder could be manipulated easiest. It would be nice if several functions could be saved in more detail with a pull down menu? For example, I use more shortcuts than the four allowed on the phone scanner.

Sortly, Inventory Management for every trade of businesses at accessible prices

Kommentare: It has help us get visibility from all departments around the world, manage and control better out spending and inventory. Makes work way easier to do without the paper waste, eliminates a lot of human error

Vorteile:

Helps me keep track of my inventory, the location of it and gives me alerts whenever an item is about to expire, this helps us to be compliant with OSHA and ahead of our game, preventing injuries and/or sanctions. We were unable to keep track in the past and pen and paper wasn't cutting it with the number of employees we currently have, Sortly made it so easy and accessible to all our managers all around the US. Price is way more accessible than most places that offer inventory services that starts in the thousands.

Nachteile:

It lacks instructional videos or easy access to assistance, sometimes you have to wait over 24 hrs for a response. Sortly has many uses and can be arrange in different ways depending on the kind of business you're running, you can add items, tools, equipment, personnel, vehicles, insurances, all kind of things, it should be hold back as an inventory tool only, seems you guys don't know what you created, and the potential it has to reach so many businesses.You should offer templates for startups, so we don't have to build from the ground up, seems you need to have a lot of time and creativity to get it going and to make it work.Report generating should be easier, sometime we run reports but we don't get the info we need, courses or videos abouty this sui

Great APP overall, but could use improved reporting tools

Vorteile:

Sortly is overall a great app. Easy to use and understand from creating folders, product and utilizing the barcode scanner to make things easier to locate. Custom fields is also an added bonus as we can customize fields relative to your company.

Nachteile:

It could use better reporting modules. The inventory management at ship station offers a better visual on our best moving products and gives us an inventory aging report as well.

Sortly- Year 3

Kommentare: The centralization of Sortly allows my lab to database product and vendor information

Vorteile:

Solid user interface that is clear and well organized.

Nachteile:

Mobile app can feel slow and clunky. Hopeful for further workflow integrations like Slack and creating purchase orders.

Unhappy

Kommentare: The overall experience for me ended very badly because I paid out a lot of money on employees, putting the inventory into the system with the hopes that my entire inventory would fit into your system. We’ve reached out to you several times to find out if we were doing it properly if that’s the problem of why we can’t put our whole inventory into the paid amount.

Vorteile:

The pros to this says I love how easy it is to use. But that’s the only thing I like about it.

Nachteile:

I’m just a small balloon company with only a couple people working for me and your product is not have the ability to hold my full inventory even at a high price. It was a total waste of money, and all the hours I paid my employee to scan in the inventory to the point that it was full, which was not all of my inventory plus paying for the membership and it was a total loss of money. Totally overpriced, and totally not functionable.

An easy and affordable Inventory Software.

Kommentare: I use it to manage all my prepaid inventory and how I invoice it to my others offices. Each month, I get my unsold inventory and I'm sure that all the stuff is invoice to whom get it.

Inventory management in one simple app that works for mobile devices

Kommentare: Uploading our inventory from excel to Sortly was easy. Sortly allowed us to set inventory limits for notifications as well as item expiration dates which is very helpful for our clinic.

Vorteile:

As a clinic manager in a university setting, I looked around for a software program to meet our inventory management needs. I like that Sortly is an affordable program and it allowed us to easily integrate our inventory system from excel into the app. It simplified our inventory management and was efficient & time saving for our clinic faculty, staff & students to see what inventory was at hand. Sortly provides instant access to inventory quantity for the entire academic department. Sortly allows us to set expiration dates for our items and sends us alerts on expiring items so that our clinic can be OHSA compliant at all times.

Nachteile:

Sortly does require a time investment to learn to navigate all its features and functions, but the Sortly support team is responsive.

Essential to Our Services

Kommentare: Overall, it's been a delight. It's easily customized, consistently functions well, allows us to run the reports we need for inventory tracking and auditing, and it's easy to use, so it's easy to onboard new volunteers who join our Inventory Team.

Vorteile:

We love that Sortly is mobile, allows us to track inventory on the go, and the app is so easy to customize and use.

Nachteile:

We're a nonprofit, and while we love the product, it would be helpful if Sortly offered some type of discount structure for nonprofits that benefit the community. Every dollar we save is a dollar invested in the families we serve.

Very good for inventory management, but gets quite expensive to add users

Kommentare: Usage has been great. But am looking for another solution as we grow and need to add users. Wish we could add a user without all of the additional features of the next tier, for a smaller fee per user

Vorteile:

Once items are set up, using Sortly is easy and it facilitates keeping track of inventory positions.

Nachteile:

Setting up items can be cumbersomeHaving more than 3 users is a huge jump in cost (triples monthly fee to go from 3 to 5 users)

Kommentare: Really like the software but I have been suggesting an upgrade to the alert system for years and just am not getting the traction I would like to see on this. Also sorting of fields isn’t consistent, and mobile app shouldn’t have to DL items it should just pull the items/pix like it does on web

Vorteile:

Ease of item entry. System is clean and legible

Nachteile:

Alerts: need to be better, have more info to stream line processes. Needs an OCR function on the camera

Perfect for Camera Equipment

Kommentare: Sortly pro has been great. I was in the process of designing my own custom app for tracking my equipment, but am glad I didn't go too far down that road before I discovered Sortly.

Vorteile:

What I love about this software is how flexible it is... if pressed for time I can quickly snap some pictures of what I need to inventory, and come back later to fill in the details. Also, the custom fields really help me fit it into my own systems. Also, the more you use the software, the less time consuming it becomes because the information tends to be already input... now I mostly am just moving things around.

Nachteile:

A lot of what I do is basically "Checking in" and "Checking out" equipment... making sure what SortlyPro says is in the case is actually still there... there's no simple solution for that... but I've worked out my own way of doing it. I also wish the "History" option worked better for what I do... would be nice to be able to easily see where a piece of equipment has been... but the current format for History is basically a very complicated list.

Solution with Logic

Kommentare: Very please with the performance of the app and appreciative that it is simple to train with my staff.

Vorteile:

Sortly has been a perfect solution with a simple user interface. We attempted to use several other applications prior to Sortly and they were not user friendly. Sortly has a clear interface and logical approach.

Nachteile:

The primary issue with the barcode feature is that is does not require an input of "adding" or "deleting" from inventory prior to a scan.

Decent Software for entry level Inventory Management

Kommentare: So far, during the last 2 years, I implemented Sortly in our warehouse to manage cosmetic packaging components; since we have 35+ different packages, it was helpful to take a picture and create a profile for each element and manually adjust the location of these items in the warehouse, it was done manually, we had to find a way around, but so far it works, we think is limited, but is decent for what we need now.

Vorteile:

Pros:Image - picture was taken to easily identify items / in our case components for cosmetic productionEasy to create and navigate menus

Nachteile:

Cons:Not easy to take advantage of the full product

Love Sortly!

Kommentare: It has helped streamline our business and saved us money by knowing how much we have in inventory at a glance.

Vorteile:

We started our franchise 3 years ago and at first we did not have any way other than by hand to know how much product we have in stock. Causing us to spend more on product than we needed to. Sortly was easy to set up and easy to keep up to date. At a glance, we can see how much we have in inventory and make our buying decisions based on stock as well as likely use. Love it!

Nachteile:

There is nothing that I have found that I dislike about Sortly.

Best Inventory System on the market!

Kommentare: I really needed a system that could track my inventory of parts for our crawl space business. I checked all the others on the market, but Sortly had features that came with the initial purchase that were add-on features on others you had to pay extra for. If you want a great system to control your inventory and where it's going, get Sortly!! Can't beat the price either!

Vorteile:

I love the fact that my project managers and myself can glide through checking our inventory with our crews with just the scan of a QR code!

Nachteile:

There needs to be more versatility on how you can control the settings, and maybe a way to lock a folder so nothing goes in or out of the folder to help not having it placed into the wrong folder by confusion.

I like how easy it is to keep track of the hundreds of cabinet hardware that we stock. Easy to add and remove inventory!

Nachteile:

We do not use all of the functions on Sortly. The amount of options could be overwhelming.

The program is uncomplicated. Easy to use, manipulate, track, edit, and operate. Simple and effective in my daily needs and operations. Customer Service is quick, kind, and responsive. Using Sortly makes my job easier...what's not to like!

Nachteile:

When there are bugs that need to be worked out... Customer Care is always available to chat and get to the bottom of any cause an effect.
