Product Tracking as a foundation for Stewardship

Kommentare: Positive, supportive, flexible and easy to use.

Vorteile:

Allows tracking of product from production facility to end-user that supports our inventory management, but also in the foundation of one of our critical stewardship activities. Our certified distributors have access to their own inventory and sales information with a firewall across users, while overviews across distributors is critical for the administrator.

Nachteile:

No real issues with use. Customized report generation for individual users in isolation from overall administrative views would be a desired feature.

Kommentare: Overall we like Sortly. There are some features we would like added but Sortly is always offering new capabilities.

Vorteile:

It has helped us cut down costs astronomically. We can move our stock between shops and cut down on ordering. We have been able to log loss of product, leave notes to our managers about stock, organize our vendors. It’s been great.

Nachteile:

There isn’t a way to see what your inventory was on a certain date. For example we do a COGS adjustment at the end of each month to see how much inventory we’re sitting on. If I don’t pull the report on that date I can’t go back and look at my inventory in that point of time retrospectively. I also wish it was clear that there was support to help set it up. I did it all manually and it was tough.

Kommentare: not terrible, but has some shortcomings. I would like better team training, better ease of custom reporting set up. Improved app conection with dropbox, smartsheet and other PM software. More automations and out of the box API's

Its cost and being internet based so my team can view levels of inv offsite and remotely in real-time without a large outlay of IT for an ERP system

Nachteile:

Ease of use. Specificaly drives me nuts that i have to upgrade to save only 4!!! again upgrade licensing to be able to save only 4! reports. That is insane to me in 2024. Also that the user activity summary function is only included in premium. That is a core feature in my mind but I'm the the CEO so....

Excellent Product for Small Companies

Vorteile:

We use Sortly for our small construction business and we're able to get both our admin and build staff to use the system with ease. It's visually easy to understand which is imperative for staff members that need quick answers for where they can find their project material for construction. There are custom fields that allow us to build information our around our company needs instead of trying to fit into a premade product.

Nachteile:

My only negative feedback about Sortly is the limited pricing options. They seem to have too large of a jump in options. We have a larger inventory but we do not need any additional features that are available in the next step up for cost. We are limited to 2,000 entries and we need, approximately 500-1,000 more. The next step up provides 8,000 more entries (10,000 total) but it is 300% more expensive per year. We cannot justify the cost as a small company but we would gladly pay 50% more just to add another 500-1,000 entries.

Kommentare: Overall, Sortly has completely changed and improved how I run my warehouse. Our inventory management has taken a 180 degree turn for the best. We are still working on adding everything into Sortly, which we are close, but it has made our company more successful. We used to say that the warehouse was just wasting company money, but we've finally reached the point where the warehouse is MAKING the company money, all thanks to Sortly.

Vorteile:

It has made our inventory control so much easier, and we are having far less issues such as over assigning our products to clients versus how much we actually have available.

Nachteile:

The main things I don't like about Sortly are the limits of Sub-Folders and the limits of characters you are allowed to have in the text boxes.

SORTLY IS AMAZING

Vorteile:

I really enjoy how easy the app is to use because I do not have to spend much time training other staff members to use it. The Inventory Management and Control aspects of sortly are really what makes the app so worth using though.

Nachteile:

I do not like the group items feature that has been included. My items used to stay grouped together, and now I have to click the button every time to get them to group back together.

Kommentare: Ease of use, even for older people. My boss uses it with me and he has gotten so used to it that he doesn't want to stop it. Even with another inventory system, we use this as a back up inventory system.

Vorteile:

Very clean and super easy to navigate user interface. Easy navigation. Perfect search function. Browser based.

Nachteile:

It does what it is supposed to flawlessly, so nothing i didn't like about it. I wish there was a invoicing feature where it is integrated with Shopify directly and able to invoice things on Sortly. Also no integration with Shopify is what i least liked about Sortly.

Quick to learn and easy to use

I like that it’s an easy to use interface.

I wish it would connect to Shopify. Other than that there’s nothing to dislike.

Kommentare: It has help us get visibility from all departments around the world, manage and control better out spending and inventory. Makes work way easier to do without the paper waste, eliminates a lot of human error

Helps me keep track of my inventory, the location of it and gives me alerts whenever an item is about to expire, this helps us to be compliant with OSHA and ahead of our game, preventing injuries and/or sanctions. We were unable to keep track in the past and pen and paper wasn't cutting it with the number of employees we currently have, Sortly made it so easy and accessible to all our managers all around the US. Price is way more accessible than most places that offer inventory services that starts in the thousands.

Nachteile:

It lacks instructional videos or easy access to assistance, sometimes you have to wait over 24 hrs for a response. Sortly has many uses and can be arrange in different ways depending on the kind of business you're running, you can add items, tools, equipment, personnel, vehicles, insurances, all kind of things, it should be hold back as an inventory tool only, seems you guys don't know what you created, and the potential it has to reach so many businesses.You should offer templates for startups, so we don't have to build from the ground up, seems you need to have a lot of time and creativity to get it going and to make it work.Report generating should be easier, sometime we run reports but we don't get the info we need, courses or videos abouty this sui

Helpful inventory management app that could use some "tweaks"

Vorteile:

Sortly has made it extremely easy for me to track and order my inventory. I also appreciate the fact that their support team puts up with my many questions and responds in a timely manner. Very glad I started using Sortly!

Nachteile:

The only gripe I really have with Sortly is the lack of integration with UPC scanning and desktop versions. "quick actions" are only reachable through the mobile version which is our main way we send, move, sell and receive items. Having a bluetooth scanner hooked up VIA wired (not bluetooth) would be a great addition to this application ( i feel i have most issues due to a bluetooth connection/ bluetooth scanner..my remedy would be using a usb cord from my POS UPC scanner which works much better but since these features are only available on the mobile version, there is no place for me to plug the usb in and the app just does not accept it wired). Other than that, sortly has been great.

Great Addition!

Kommentare: We started with Sortly as a trial to see if it could easily and accurately track our inventory and also give us added features like visuals of the items and the option of generating a variety of reports. We did take our time with the transition to make sure we were comfortable with the new system. We worked on building our inventory in Sortly simultaneously while running our old system. We used the bulk import feature to add most of our inventory which was a plus. Overall the transition has been easy and is much better than what we were using. It is faster, accurate and user friendly. The search feature is excellent and the ability to easily generate a variety of reports is also extremely helpful. Overall I am very happy with Sortly!

Vorteile:

The ability to search for a product multiple ways and upload pictures of the product. I also like being able to print a variety of reports and always seeing the total value of our inventory at a glance.

Nachteile:

Not being able to list items in size order. There is also a lag time when updating quantities and adding photos.

Why Sortly Wins For Us...

Kommentare: It's been wonderful. I'm glad I did my due diligence and took the time to go over other products before realizing I didn't need to waste my time and money on others that had a bunch of features I wasn't going to need. While Sortly has features I can add on, as needed, I'm perfectly happy to be able to customize!

Vorteile:

I spent a couple weeks going through various online trials and zoom meetings with companies showing me how their company was "top notch" in asset tracking, inventory control and all these other things. Turns out a lot of the other things were all the other things I didn't need... and the things I did need, were never included in any plans. Sortly fit all I needed. It was perfect. It had the ability to customize and categorize the way I needed and I honestly haven't had an issue with it from the get-go. Set up was a breeze. We started out with handheld scanners, and have since upgraded to tablets, and the changeover was seamless.

Nachteile:

I'm honestly trying to find something I like *least* about Sortly, and I have nothing. My team has zero complaints, and they use it daily. Other than having to remind them to always use the same method of entry when entering a product (like typing the name in the same way...) - that's it. But that's a user issue, not a Sortly issue!

The ease of entering our products into Sortly was a big plus. We also link our vendors to the products so any users can quickly replace stock.

Nachteile:

We would love the ability to change units on products already entered into the system. When changing how we record usage from feet to inches or feet to yards, would be a big benefit to flexibility to the user.

Kommentare: It had a small learning curb, but there are so many features and capabilities. You can sort, add features, create bar codes, scan bar codes, etc. The possibilities are endless.

It is a very cost effective way to manage inventory for a small business, that doesn't quite need the large inventory software that is out there.

Nachteile:

Some of the features are hard to understand for people that aren't savvy with computers.

Vorteile:

It's easy to use for my team. I'm not sure if they and I could use that easier complicated software. I like managing my team besides, I can see all the movements of my team easily and can check what they did.

Nachteile:

Now I have an issue about searching results. I have some items which have variants and when I search I see the variants instead of main item. I requested this to be fixed and sortly will take care of it hopefully.

Vorteile:

It has been great to keep track of our supplies over 3 clinic sites. We have one ordering manager, and they receive notifications when supplies are running low at one of our clinics.

Nachteile:

Set up is time-consuming when adding barcodes on all supplies. However, once it is set up, It is easy to add new items. But that is the case with any inventory system.

BEWARE, Annual Subscription Increases by 250%

Kommentare: Overall our experience has been good until the email we received 11 days prior to our subscription renewal. Sortly did not INITIALLY cost us as much as the other inventory solutions on the market so we overlooked a lot of the downfalls and lack of features. However, I wish we knew the rate had the potential to increase to $2,700 a year for a plan with 3,098 units. I would recommend saving yourself the trouble and invest your time and money with a company that will grow with you and not increase your subscription at their own discretion.

Vorteile:

Initial annual plan pricing. However, 11 days before our annual renewal we received this message, "Sortly plans are being reconfigured based on your number of entries and usage patterns. On your renewal date, your account will be adjusted to the Sortly Enterprise plan, billed at $2,760 USD per year..." from $1,080 we paid for our first year. We have 3,098 numbers of entries and the plan we have allows for 10,000 numbers of entires. We will not be receiving feature upgrades and after requesting further explanation for the significant rate increase we were told, "We are in the process of reconfiguring our plans." There is no way we could have known we would not qualify for our current plan. If you are a home staging business Stageforce and StrangeDNA have comparable pricing and many more features in Sorty.

Nachteile:

CAUTION the annual renewal rate is not as advertised!! After one year of use, we received an email stating that our price would increase to $2,750 for the next renewal (we initially paid $1,080 for the first year) for the exact same plan we have now. The "Ultra Plan" with 10,000 units is currently being advertised as $708 per year. Be careful investing your time and money into this software. Once you have configured your business or needs around this company they could increase your subscription by 250% like they have with us.

Sortly for Hotel Inventory Management

Kommentare: We are not using all the features of Sortly by any means but has proven the perfect solution for what we need which is managing and controlling our inventory and ensuring we always have the stock we need on hand. I do think that the Advanced plan should have more than two users included.

Vorteile:

We use Sortly to control our stock of amenities and supplies for rooms and it is a simple and straightforward tool for that purpose. It was easy to set up our inventory and the minimum level fields and tags make reordering straightforward and the price makes tracking the value of inventory very easy. Being able to upload a number of photos eliminates confusion over which item is which.

Nachteile:

Only 2 users on the Advanced plan is not very generous compared to competitors. 5 would seem to be a fairer deal

Inventory Visibility and Ease of Use

Kommentare: As far as day-to-day transaction management and reporting, Sortly is fantastic. We use this as a visibility tool, not the actual management of the inventory, which at our location is done in Access. We've been able to link the two systems so the transactions reflect in Sortly when done in Access. We have users who do not speak English, and Sortly was easy enough for them to pick it up with minimal down-time and instruction. It is a very intuitive, very easy product to use.

Vorteile:

Very very intuitive software that takes very little time to bring people up to speed on the every day use. All of the basic features and functions you need to help in Inventory Management and Control are there, as well as the reporting features that you need.

Nachteile:

Could use more customizability in terms of what fields are the primary fields, as well as additional customizability for the formats of the actual labels. Would be great to have additional size options, and ability to add and manipulate the actual layout of labels. As well as having other options for barcode labels.

Great Inventory Software

Kommentare: Sortly has helped my company save a lot of time when it comes to inventory management and being able to see with a few clicks what we do or don't have available.

Vorteile:

Sortly has allowed us to know if we have enough inventory for upcoming events and can be updated if items are lost or damaged from previous events. It's also nice not having to physically count needed items before each event, and knowing even from off-site what we have available.

Nachteile:

One feature that I wish could be implemented is the ability for one product to appear in multiple folders - if an item can be used for more than one purpose.

Inventory made fun

Kommentare: Sortly has made managing our inventory fun! There, I said it. All of our items in one place. Categorized in a way that makes sense to us. With photos so there is no confusion by only having product numbers that no one really knows. We see the value, the quantity, the item type, the variants, etc. all in one place. And, it's mobile! Our inventory used to be a guessing game before Sortly. Now, we always have confidence in what products are in stock.

Vorteile:

Photos! With so many similar items, photos make differentiating products a breeze. Additionally, it's so easy to input items. There is no putting it off because it's too time consuming.

Nachteile:

When viewing items from the folder view, it would be nice if the items individual value was also shown, not just the total value of inventory in that item entry. Additionally, I find History is not always accurate.
