Combating spam email with SpamTitan is very effective

Kommentare: Utilizing SpamTitan as the primary spam-fighting app has proven to be very successful, and it has provided me with more benefits than other more well-known brands. I am very pleased with the price and consider it to be very useful for the price I paid. Whenever I thought about email security, the first thing that comes to mind is SpamTitan.

Vorteile:

SpamTitan has a high level of consistency when it comes to preventing spam and malicious communications from reaching my primary inbox. Setting up the specific keyword that I want to be used in the blacklist keyword and the whitelist keyword is quite easy. After setting it up, the procedure is streamlined, and I would not have to keep track of it because it would send me a weekly report.

Nachteile:

There have been times that a legitimate email has been blocked and no message has been received to inform me about this practice, resulting in the email remaining in the junk inbox until I manually search and whitelist it. For the first time, adding a domain to the app can be daunting, and I had to seek assistance.

Great Product for staying Productive!

Kommentare: Managing 250 users can be daunting but, with SpamTitan filtering the garbage out, this helps us sleep at night!

Vorteile:

This product is amazing, it takes all the headache out of spam and garbage into your Business. Highly Highly recommend this product!! It has saved us so much time and garbage into our company.

Nachteile:

Initially, the old configuration pages were a bit daunting but, the new revamp is much easier to understand.

SpamTitan broke and their sales and support completely ignored us

Kommentare: After the issue with greylisted emails, support was never able to release any of the emails. It caused us enough problems that the owner of my company had me completely disable SpamTitan. We have not used SpamTitan since. I reached out to our sales rep to see if we could get a refund but never received a reply. I also reached out to support and again never received a reply. I understand things go wrong, but being ignored is not acceptable. I will never again use or recommend SpamTitan

The web interface was easy to navigate for SpamTitan

Nachteile:

SpamTitan had a glitch and everything started getting greylisted. I reached out to support but they could not help. Several important emails were stuck and could not be released. I had to reach out to the sender and have them send those emails to another account. I was told by support several times that the problem was fixed but it continued for us, random marking emails as greylisted and then refusing to release them. I had to complete disable SpamTitan on our domain.

Spam Titan Spam Filter Service - highly recommend

Kommentare: fantastic spam filtering abilities - made an order of magnitude difference in the volume of spam my company employees recevied on a daily basis.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use. Easy to manage. Very effective

Nachteile:

I wish there was more active action to be taken on greylisted items. Greylisted emails are just bounced and you have to wait for them to come back. I would love to see greylisted emails put into a "greylist" quarantine or something so when we know they are valid, we can release them immediately instead of waiting for the sender to resend.

I dislike that individual users can't block an address and have it block that address for everyone easily.

Nice product, tried many others

Kommentare: I tried a bunch of products before purchasing this and i would make the same decision again

Vorteile:

The support has been great, my users like the ability to check on there own quarantine, the email digest has been popular.

Nachteile:

the filtering seems over sensitive, finer grained filter controls would be nice! being able to receive a digest more than once a day would make a few of us happy. We are struggling with the analytics to understand why some of these emails are being scored as high as they are.

Spam Titan is our first choice for our antispam solution.

Kommentare: I use it every day, life is impossible without such a service, the console has everything we need, we have gotten the spam down considerably, and support has always been quite efficient whenever I needed help. The spam reports that can be sent to user is very smart and saves us a lot of support time.

Vorteile:

It works, which is the main reason to use them. I like the admin interface, it has all that we need and it is not a headache to browze and use.

Nachteile:

Honestly, there is none, no spam filter is perfect, we need to work with it, and it is easy to work with SpamTitan console, and when we have an issue, the support is there.

An excellent spam blocker for the price!

Kommentare: Its been good, but on initial setup it grabbed a lot of good email and marked it as potential spam. Quarantining calmed down after a bit - we use the service with multi-tenants.

Vorteile:

Setup was fairly easy and the techs took their time to help us understand the install process.

Nachteile:

The 30 day storage aspect is weak as is the ability to read contents and once its been delivered there is no resending. The multi-server cluster setup often requiores making sure searches are on both nodes or you may miss what you're looking for!

Ease of use and Deployment is what we liked most of SpamTitan.

Nachteile:

Setting up to capture all the SPAM. Just takes some time to setup and get it to capture just the SPAM.

EGroupware Cloud services use SpamTian

Kommentare: Nice solution, does what it is supposed for, Support is good and good contact to TitanHD people.

Vorteile:

User can Blacklist/Whitelist from EGroupware directly or mark mails as Spam. The archive of the last X days gives the opportunity to resent mails customer by chance deleted and don't use an separat archiving solution.

Nachteile:

I'm missed to select internal flow easily (mails from users within the same domain). Its easy to select inbound & outbound, but we had situations where we needed to release a bunch of internal mails and that is more effort to select.

Cut through the Spam With Ease!

Kommentare: My whole goal was to cut down on spam. The product works very well for that.

I don't have any complaints. It works well and it's easy & accurate.

Filter all the email, and these is very powerful function and I use everyday. Sometime user would received lot of dunk mail, without this we would delete those email manually and waste time.

Easy to configure, effective Spam filter

Vorteile:

What's to say? It blocks spam, has an easy to use interface, and sends emails every day with emails caught in quarantine. SpamTitan works well enough that you forget it's there.

Nachteile:

For newsletters: I wish there was a setting that would let you whitelist the Reply-to address automatically instead of the auto-generated one time email.

SpamTitan - a great service for a great price

Kommentare: We had to quickly change spam filtering services due to licensing changes, and some other circumstances. We didn't want to sign a year or longer contract. SpamTitan was highly rated in a number of the forums that I looked at. The pricing was great for what we needed, and it was month to month. When I set it up to test, it worked just as I had hoped. The migration from our previous vendor was painless, and kudos to them that we were able to export things like our allow/block lists. There was a minimum of massaging of those lists to get them into SpamTitan. We did have some snags the first few days, and support was ready and able to get things fixed. There was sufficient follow-up. The experience overall was fantastic.

SpamTitan works great -- until it doesn't

Kommentare: I am spending 30 minutes writing a review in the hope that other people will make a better first selection than we did. Our experience showed us that the product is only marginally reliable and their support is god-awful.

Was easy to implement and, as the title said, it worked great until it did not.

Nachteile:

This is a cloud-based product. In early August, the product totally failed. (it was a Friday morning in the US, but dont remember the date as we have moved on to an)other product). Just noticed that we were no longer receiving emails. Rerouted DNS to cut SpamTitan out of the loop and email (unfiltered) started flowing. Contacted Spam Titan and they confirmed that the cloud instance on which we were running was offline for unknown reasons. Our business is 24x7. We ran without Spam Titan on Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday, and Monday. We called for updates, on Friday afternoon, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. Each time, there were no updates and were told that we would updated by email and by phone if we left our best contact number. Well, that never happened. Interestingly, we were not offered to route through any other web-instances. By late Tuesday, we had already vetted another product and moved our production platform to the new provider. Their support SUCKS. Moreover, I am going through the same goat-ropin' with trying to cancel my subscription. If you call them and make the appropriate selection, you always go to voice-mail (again, no callbacks). If you select "technical support", they have to connect you with Customer Service (one time out of two tries, I got a live CS person and they told me that they would have to connect me with "retention". Again, no one was available but was promised that someone would call me back -- never happened.

SpamTitan Provides Excellent Protection

Vorteile:

Integration was easy, post sales team ensured all the steps were taken correctly and it is highly effective.

Nachteile:

The layout is slightly dated and reminds me of older software like Magento's backend. Graphs could be flashier and there could be more of them, but these are minor things for me. However, they may matter more to others.

My choice for anti-spam software

Vorteile:

SpamTitan is actually really worked, and has really decreasing the amount of spam email that i have receive before. It only need to be setup onetime, and most of the time, i don't even have to monitor the report as they rarely blocking a legitimate email that are sent to my email.

Nachteile:

There are some feature that are not available at the moment on the software, like to preview the content of the spam email, without having to whitelisting the email. It will be a good feature, so user can totally know what is the content of the email that has been blocked from the main inbox.

Decent features for the price could do with some more features. Would still recommend.

Vorteile:

Cloud based software so nothing to install on site. The dashboard allows you to see what emails have been quarantined, allows white listing of domains. Decent set of basic features. Price point reflects what you get.

Nachteile:

The following lets it down: 1. The quarantine reports to the users are once a day, i get a lot of emails from staff saying they haven't received a email from a client and i have to log in to check, a quarantine email once a hour would be much better. 2. Some email which don't even match basic standards get block but not reported, took us a while to realise this as we had a ioT device misconfigured but had no idea Spam Titan was blocking it. 3. It can fail to deliver to the endpoint mail server, but doesn't report whether the email was successfully delivered or not just that it passed or didn't pass the spam listing, you have to go into the actual email and look at the headers. 4. Would be nice if there was a encrypted SMTP relay too that could scan email going out. Haven't had a compromised laptop or email account but could see how this would help.

Kommentare: I'm very satisfied with this product. We manage several installation on both single mail server and multi mail server configuration. It is very easy to setup and maintain which makes it a perfect software for production environments.

Vorteile:

What I like the most about this software is the fact it is an appliance that can run as a Virtual Machine. It highly simplifies the implementation of the product in any environment or architecture. It is easy to manage any internet domain and all the rules to them related. It supports more mail servers. It makes use of 2 different Anti-Virus to reduce the risk to let Viruses pass the appliance.

Nachteile:

the outlook addin or the way for the user to manage their quarantine is not the easiest. it could be managed in a different way, especially for MS Exchange users.
