Easy, Helpful, Complete

Kommentare: I love the quick and easy financial reports and the way we can organize and bill our clientele.

Vorteile:

What I love about JackRabbit is how helpful and prompt their customer service has been, time and time again, since I began using their service in 2014. A close second place is the excellent organization and all the various tools at my fingertips. My administrator and I both use JR and enjoy how we can quickly find our clients and customize our financial reports.

Kommentare: A learning curve. Anything new comes with a learning curve, so I expected that. I do feel most of the features are missing key elements and could be easier to access.

The difficulty in finding what I need to do, and the lack of features that my program needs to be effective

Constant Frustration

Vorteile:

Uptime, Jackrabbit is very reliable it rarely goes down

Nachteile:

Jackrabbit is horrible for private one on one lessons. And they keep messing with things, once you find a way to use it for your business the change things and you’re starting all over. It’s constantly frustrating

A pleasant return

Kommentare: We are very happy with the product and after trying some different software to try and save costs, we ended up spending more on manual administrative tasks that Jackrabbit do automatically. We have returned to this superior product.

Vorteile:

Jackrabbit Music have a great quality database with all the features we need which cuts down on administration labour - such as billing, pro rata, automatic reminder emails to customers, book your own makeup classes. The other amazing feature is the detailed reports available that are completely customisable.

Nachteile:

Just a few of the American language, spelling and back to front dates. We are an Australian customer and it hasn't been fully switched to the way we do things in Oz.

Good for private Music School

Kommentare: Reviews Jackrabbit for years. It's the primary software that manages all the accounts for our Music School - scheduling and billing. We primarily focus on private lessons. I will say that Jackrabbit does seem to be more geared towards group classes, like for dance or karate schools. But it suits our needs.

Vorteile:

Jackrabbit works well as a basic CRM, but is especially good at keeping our lesson scheduled intact and for recurring billing.

Nachteile:

I'm not sure what the annual downtime is, but there have been a few outages throughout the year - maybe two or three each year.

We came back to Jack Rabbit Music as it's the best!

Kommentare: Seamless, reliable and does everything we need and more.

Vorteile:

We have come back to Jack Rabbit Music after leaving for a year to try different software. Big regrets! So we are back! We find it cuts down our admin time so much with its automation and we missed the reports which are so good.

Nachteile:

That it's based on Active student count so we have to filter and monitor our lists every few months.

Good product; some missing features

Nachteile:

Tuition post is tedious and not automatic. Recently, we’ve been having problems adding new staff. Repeating Costumers are not being asked to update their info at registration, which causes issues

Satisfied Jackrabbit Customer

Kommentare: We have used Jackrabbit Music for many years, and although we have investigated other programs, none fits our needs as well.

Vorteile:

It is a very robust management system at a very reasonable cost. The support team is very responsive, and they are constantly coming out with improvements and new features.

Nachteile:

I wish they had an inventory management system for our marching band uniforms. I also wish the reporting were more robust.

Jackrabbit has been very useful for our needs!

Kommentare: It is flexible enough that we have been able to find the best ways to use it that jibes with our workflow.

Vorteile:

The great technical support. Also the way so much information is consolidated in the view, including family information, transaction information and enrollment information.

Nachteile:

Trying to generate reports. The fact that JR TA is not versed in SafeSave and we need to deal with them directly. Having more of a liaison with SafeSave would be helpful.... just to streamline things when there are questions, or reports are needed.

Jackrabbit is Useful

Kommentare: Jackrabbit is a very useful too for all the classes I run and communication I do with families at our organization. I have never used another system so I don't have any other experience to compare it to.

Vorteile:

People can register themselves and pay for classes all online/through their account. I can easily email one class or a number of classes at the same time. I can search for and email students by class history, age, town, et.

Nachteile:

I cannot create classes that are every other week or monthly in a batch, I have to individually create them. When classes are prorated, families/customers don't see the prorated amount until it is in their cart. I feel this deters people from signing up if they think they have to pay the full amount.

Paducah Symphony Academy

Kommentare: It's been fine. I don't use it in my everyday work but when I need to, it is easy to pick back up

Vorteile:

I like the ease of finding each student and their class.

Nachteile:

When it opens a new tab for every button you click.

Great Purchase Decision

Kommentare: I have thoroughly enjoyed this software and the staff that keep it going. The groups on Facebook are ever so helpful and speaking with tech support ALWAYS yields a solution. Always.

Vorteile:

I love that the software is mostly intuitive. There are a few pains, but overall I can find the information I need rather quickly.

Nachteile:

I don't like the limited views that we require as a music school with mostly private lessons.

Overall helpful but needs greater customization

Kommentare: Overall it has helped us grow by maintaining basic family & student information and streamlining billing. I do not manage the billing so I can't speak to specifics, but I think it has helped streamline things for our team.

Vorteile:

Jackrabbit is most useful to us for registration, billing, and maintaining a contact database that is sortable by location, instructor, and other parameters.

Nachteile:

It can be a bit clunky and lacks robust customization. 1. We need the ability to customize student info such as gender options beyond male/female, instrument, etc. We use the user defined fields to gather this info but there is no way to make these fields appear on a student's "main" page. I end up manually copying & pasting or typing it all into a spreadsheet. If we could customize further, I could take care of all of this. I'd also like parents/mentors/caregivers/step parents be able to manually enter their relationship to students instead of selecting from a drop down menu. The options are just too limited. 2. We rely on Google calendar to actually manage and reschedule lessons.

Music School software Review

Vorteile:

Since day one we install this software and it was life-saving, the transition was easy. The entire system is very easy to use and there are many capabilities to manage the school. The customer service is just outstanding, this is what really has them apart from any other customer service I have worked with, they really take time to walk you through and fix your issue. The material available for training on your own is also easy and very complete.

Nachteile:

Our school is primarily for private students and the software has been designed for group lessons, so there are times we have to make some tweaks in order to work for the way the school is structured.

Saves time and money!

Kommentare: My business has gotten easier and easier to manage as a result of using Jackrabbit Class. It is the lifeline of my business, and I couldn't do without my Jackrabbit!!

Vorteile:

I've been a loyal Jackrabbit user for over 10 years now. We chose the program because of its powerful capabilities and proven track record. With an enrollment of nearly 700 families, I love having so much data about every student in our music school at just a click away. The reports, Staff Portal, online registration, and ease of billing/collection have saved me countless hours and therefore, so much money! Best of all, Jackrabbit Support is unparalleled - accessible, responsive, and always super helpful. I have also benefited tremendously from the regular software reviews that Jackrabbit offers. Jackrabbit really listens to their customers too, always making enhancements that make the software easier and better to use!

Nachteile:

There is a bit of a learning curve, and Jackrabbit doesn't have some of the slick add-on's that other software offers, but it's other features and benefits outweigh this, in my mind.

Jackrabbit has everything you need!

Kommentare: As a director I enjoy being able to look up each families and staffs information that we have on file. It makes it easy to have good communication with our clients.

Vorteile:

I like that Jackrabbit allows you to keep important client and class information in place so it is easier to keep track of these aspects of running a business.

Nachteile:

The only downside of Jackrabbit is that the interface could be simplified.

Steep learning curve

Kommentare: Some people on our team really struggle with it. Setting up classes is very time-consuming. Once you know how to set up the classes so the billing and registration work well, it's easier.

Vorteile:

I've had excellent experiences with customer support. The training modules are also very helpful. It's worth investing time into those modules and getting the certifications.

Nachteile:

There are a lot of aspects of the admin interface/dashboard/calendar that I do not care for. I am still finding features that would have been helpful to know about before, but they were sort of hidden in the menus (which are awkwardly named). It would be very helpful to have a feature that lets you "test drive" the Parent Portal - to get a handle on what the viewer sees. Right now we have to set it up on the back end and then log in with a test account, which is not very convenient.

Safesave

Kommentare: I love the registration, class creation, & other functions of the software. I think other payment processing options should be available to smaller organizations.

Vorteile:

Registration is great. Parent portal is extremely helpful!

Nachteile:

Safesave is expensive. We’re a small non profit and would benefit from another form of payment processing.

I love the software - it is critical for my business. My staff and I use it daily. Works flawlessly. I also LOVE the customer service. They are always there to help me and answer my questions.

Nachteile:

I have nothing negative to say about the software.

Music School User

Vorteile:

I love that all of my student and staff information is in one place. I can email, run payments, check schedules, clock hours in one spot. The interface with Quickbooks is easy, too. We are new to student portals and connecting resources for virtual learning, but so far that is going well.

Nachteile:

There is not much space available for uploading resources for students into their class. However, I have not checked in to see if there is an option to upgrade. You are able to link to Dropbox or Youtube which is a good alternative.

Not Intuitive

Kommentare: I don't love the aesthetic. And again, it is not very user friendly. I like that it has so many options and can be used for so many different things, it just feels like you need to be very thoroughly trained.

Vorteile:

I like the class management. Seeing exactly who is enrolled in each session is fairly simple.

Nachteile:

It is not intuitive at all. Once you learn the ins and outs of JR life becomes a lot easier, but until then, it is not very user friendly.

Good. Does what we want. The autopay and ability to show availability on our website is key.

Vorteile:

The ability to show customers what is open by going to our website. Having autopay. Having good contact info for our students. I wish we could have the parent thing only be required if they are under 18. People get confused when they are adults that sign up. It's too oriented for kids.

Nachteile:

Sometimes we feel like we have to trick the software to get it to do what we want. We have to post fees lots of times to bill for each class a month. I can't just bill for all the mondays or all the days of the coming month.

Copying/editing private lessons could be simplier. For instance, it would be helpful to be able to copy classes by teacher/by day. And if class names had defined fields, then global edits could be made to class titles

Jackrabbit Music is a Must Have for Large Music Schools

Kommentare: Jackrabbit Music is a coordinating platform which allows for easy tracking and management of registrations, paychecks, and customer help. In my experience, it rarely experiences server latency and allows for quick and efficient corporate communication!

Vorteile:

Jackrabbit provides fluid workflow and quick payments. It's interface for invoicing customers is particularly easy to use!

Nachteile:

Some data, such as appointment and scheduling data can be difficult to modify. I have run into a few cases in which a cancelled lesson or tardy tag could not be removed
