Kommentare: leicht zu bediehnen da die Funktionen logisch sind nach Autocad Befehlen.

Vorteile:

voll kompatiebel zu Autocad, keine Eingewöhnung erforderlich man kann sofort damit arbeiten

Nachteile:

die Menüs z.B Bemaßung können nicht gesamtheitlich angezeigt werden, z.B Fortfahren Bemaßung ist unter dem Untermenü Kommentieren statt unter Bemaßung im Startmeneu Bemaßung erst im nächsten Menü zu finden, jedoch kann man sich das Untermenü anzeigen lassen.

Kommentare: I am a consultant in the field of Chemicals production and have to design different equipment, the complete plant, utilities equipment, plant layout. I am 80 and would like to publish drawings of the equipment based on my experience of nearly 58 years. The problems I face if I have to design equipment based on totally a new concept, particularly in 3D format so that the client has clear idea of the equipment. Now certain Statutory authorities insist on submitting layout drawings in 3D. I would like to learn more on drawing complicated objects in 3D.

Vorteile:

The software has all features which a designer wants, opens all CAD drawings based on other software, irrespective of their issue dates.

Nachteile:

Since I am used to using some other software, the I find the format difficult to use, particularly when I use it after a long gap. I am only a designer of equipment and factory layouts and do not use it very frequently. After a long gap of time, it takes some time to recapitulate the commands. It would be really very helpful if you come out tutorials to draw various shapes of objects using the commands of your software.

The best Cad for the money

Vorteile:

I like just about everything about it. It is the closest that come to AutoCad that I have ever seen for a whale of a lot less money.

Nachteile:

Well, like the other cad it is very comprehensive and complex. It has a huge array of features, many that I will never use frankly. But it is nice to know that the features are there in case I will need them in the future.

As Good as most of the icads out there

Kommentare: We have used various versions of icad or autocad light for 30 years. ActCad is an acceptable product but does not stand out as compared to several others that we currently use in house.

Vorteile:

DWG files are compatible with all other autocad based software. The software has steadily gotten better with each release, as has tech support. Importing of text files is very good.

Nachteile:

The menu update option is non functional, making updates difficult at best because tech support must be contacted for a link and the original program completely uninstalled. Some of the snap options, especially to snaps, don't always work even when turned on as in options. The precision settings for Surveyor's Units do not function as they should.

Good product and service

Kommentare: Excellent software. It works well once you learn the menus and get used to the functions. This will be an easy task, even after years of using AutoCAD.

Vorteile:

Works just the the 'other' CAD software. Commands are the same. The menus are different, and that takes a little time to get used to if you use both applications. But other than that detail, you will not go wrong with this software. I've used it for 3-4 years now and it does everything I need it to do.

Nachteile:

It is tricky to use it on several computers (only one at a time). I could not get it to transfer the license because their web domain is blocked on our internal network. It required special settings by our IT department to work, and it's still buggy. This is the only problem I've ever had.

ActCad does what it is supposed to do....What more could you ask for ?

Vorteile:

All of the familar details of AutoCad but not the cost.....

Nachteile:

Program seems to need to reset and recover a file .... Not sure why this is, but it does recover the file and I am not loosing anything in the process.....

Vorteile:

It loads quickly It has all the necessary features that I use to design layouts and review equipment designs. It autosaves very often It saves processing time by focusing on performance rather than only aesthetics.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the select window misbehaves by selecting all. The cut selection, block convert and paste function sometimes deletes the selection.

Kommentare: Can avoid Autodesk monopoly and compliance issues. cost benefit with perpetual and Network license.
also customization can be done as per requirement with prompt support .

Nachteile:

Need to improve the features. We have sold one of Architect and they have so many problems and did not able to solve after taking the support.

ActCAD Compatibility

Kommentare: I commented above about slowness in opening large 3D projects, crashes, problems with paperspace viewports and conceptual rendering of views.

Vorteile:

It is set up very much like AutoCAD which has been my primary software.

Nachteile:

I found that it is very slow in opening previous large AutoCAD 3D projects and recently it crashed in doing so. Also I had difficulty viewing drawings with conceptual views in paperspace viewports. It seemed awkward and not the same as I was used to.

Patchett Joinery ActCAD Review

Kommentare: Using the software is great as I used AutoCAD before. However, the freezing problem has not been resolved and my emails to support are mow not being responded to.

Vorteile:

Virtually like for like to AutoCAD so the changeover was seamless

Nachteile:

I have issues with the software freezing and cutting out. This happens daily when I am using the software, usually on several occasions. I have to shutdown all my applications and restart my laptop every time it happens. Obviously this causes disruption to my daily tasks using other software.

Great value for the product capability and features.

Kommentare: Overall, I have been able to do the same 2D work with ActCad that I had been doing with AutoCad.

Vorteile:

Can open and edit and save drawings from 20+ years ago that were first drawing in DOS Autocad. Also opens and edits my most recent cad files from 2020 version of Autocad. No problems with transportability. I have used the same drawings on both systems with no issues.

Nachteile:

When snap tracking is on the software can grab points all around you intended target. The error is so small it is hard to detect until you zoom in and look at the corners. When you close the program, if you don't select yes to the prompt for saving, the UI settings and some drawing settings are lost. I have to reload tool bars and set the UI back to my preferred type.

Vorteile:

ActCAD helps our remote project teams track model issues using Revit files. That we can track changes straight from the site and interact immediately within the prepared form is fantastic. The ActCAD mobile app is equally simple to use, allowing field engineers to create assignments or respond to site issues directly with office employees. ActCAD also allows users who are unfamiliar with 3D drawing software to examine 3D designs. It is possible to grasp the planned designs and circumstances using 3D models. ActCAD allows you to collaborate with the rest of the team without crashing or affecting the model. ActCAD is a very user-friendly engineering software.

Nachteile:

Managing the platform can be somewhat cumbersome without training and setup help. ActCAD can be a bit slow at times when trying to sync and this can waste some time.

GOOD CAD PLATFORM.

Kommentare: Good for existing AutoCad users. They have one more option available now.

Vorteile:

This is very nice and user freiendly software. Very nice alternative CAD software at very reasonable price compare to other software. Most of the Cad user’s need are satisfied in this software. Strongly recommended for student and professionals.

Nachteile:

Courser speed is little slow. Need some improvement related to LISP loading. Also need some improvement for compaitability w.r.t other existing Cad software so that user can check the data in two different software to get more confidence of using ACTCAD.

A humble and honest review

Kommentare: It is by far the best non-Autodesk CAD application I ever used. Feels professional. In our company we use it for fast corrections upon existing drawings, mostly into electrical drawings and drawing of phtovoltaics' placement

Cheap and ideal for fast corrections upon existing drawings

Nachteile:

I have an issue with bugs mostly while I am trying to paste a part of the drawing on it. Inclined lines doesn't always give you the ability to click their end-points and continue them inclined as they are. Took me some time to find how to scale a line-type. Text change paragraph on its right if you don't have the text window dragged downwards enough for your text to fit in and that is pretty annoying to do.

Bit slow in handling heavy files (above 20mb file size) Some time hatch is not working properly..

ActCAD is a perfect complement to my Civil 3D product

Vorteile:

- AutoCAD compatibility and commands. - Fast loads. - Handles images and underlays well. - Supports AutoCAD file formats all the way back to the beginning. - Support always gets back quickly with suggestions and solutions to issues. - eMails keep you updated with the newest versions.

Nachteile:

My only beef is that it doesn't handle fonts well when creating a PDF document either using the export function or a PDF print driver. The same driver works well creating the fonts with AutoCAD.

ACTCAD is an inexpensive alternative to AutoCAD

Kommentare: It's ok right out of the box as long as you're not doing anything too complicated.

Vorteile:

Easy to get started from AutoCAd. Difficult modifying some functions to work like used to in AutoCAD.

Nachteile:

Some functions don't work as well as AutoCAD. Difficult and time consuming getting tech support.

Virtually all the facilities are available in this software like others, and, the cost is quite affordable. In addition to this, we get quick support from the ' support team '

Nachteile:

Not much really. But, there are some commands that need attention. Like repeat , spline command. Some times a green dotted lines appears on the screen while using some command, and , to remove it, drawing needs to be closed, and, reopened.

Critical Review of ActCAD 2021

Kommentare: Overall, my company's experience with ActCAD has been a minimum of 9 out of 10. The only work needed my tam sees is license transfer from their workstation to their travel computer.

Vorteile:

ActCAD presents a complete palette of 2D and annotation tools, critical to my business.

Nachteile:

License transfer to my travel computer is clumsy; wish there was a better mechanism to share a license between two computers.
