Great product and pricing model

Vorteile:

It is easy to setup and one can have different links to track the different users that will take the test. We usually set to take the images of the candidates while they do the test so that we know that they are alone. It is a great tool to filter our clients

Nachteile:

It was a bit unclear in the beginning that the free questions are widely available online, so it would be very easy for the candidates to google them. It was a very easy setup altogether.

Great bang for the buck

Kommentare: We use it as a primary filter primarily for Engineering roles.

Vorteile:

Easy to get effective questions to candidates. The content is relevant, the times are realistic, and my team is confident in how it reflects abilities.

Nachteile:

The UI is a bit clunky. It seems like it could be a bit more "modern" with fewer clicks to send tests, and it would be great to see more analytics on test performance as it relates to their universe of people who have used a given question.

Difficulty to find good question, it's long and hard to go through the whole question list to build my online test

Nachteile:

Could have more level-specific tests to cater for different roles/seniority. Not easy to find when assessing alternatives to more expensive tools.

Vorteile:

On-demand approach allows budget saving for dev recruiting.

Nachteile:

Exercise validation conditions are not displayed from a techincal implementation point of view

Pre-employment testing

Kommentare: We wanted to reduce effort for tests for applictants, on our side but also on the applicant side. Testdome solved our problems and we can now filter candidates much faster without the need for much manual work.

Vorteile:

We know exactly upfront how long test is approximatly going to take. We can use the predefined questions out of many different categories which give us a great overview about the applicants.

Nachteile:

The questions are often quite theoretical, more real life questions with more complex answers may would additionaly improve testdome.

Easy-to-use UI/UX but not up-to-date Test

Vorteile:

- Easy-to-use tracking test's deadline and result - Unlimited access accounts to share roles

Nachteile:

- Not up-to-date questions of all tech-stacks, options are quite limited - Not good plagiarism checking - Minus point: Test credits should be shown on the main page, it's easier to follow how many tests remain.

Great for Java and SQL tests

Vorteile:

Quick and easy to setup, choosing questions to match our role and get candidates answering them; the mix of multi-choice and coding questions is great

Nachteile:

mostly all good, we ended up buying several small packages initially before going to the larger ones

Great for online testing

Kommentare: We've been using TestDome for over 4 years for all our recruitment in software development and it has worked very well for us. Also received positive feedback from the candidates that we invited to the test.

Vorteile:

Ability to create multiple tests, to cover different platforms and seniority level. Alert for 'possible cheating'. Candidates get their results and pass or fail info at the end of the test.

Nachteile:

None so far, it works well for our needs.

Vorteile:

There is a wide range of question categories. The tool speeded up my interview preparation process

Nachteile:

It seems not enough clear number of available credits in the account

It is the only tool that you can pay for what you need

Vorteile:

- Unlimited management users - You only pay for what you need, you pay only for test taken - Easy to use - Easy to invite candidates

Nachteile:

- Not the most beautiful GUI - Questions are very limited, and we have to create more questions - Very few configuration options to customize notifications - Lack of department structure in user management

Kommentare: It has been great! It works really well, the results are very useful for our selection process.
I'm not sure if I missed it, but the lack of tests to send caught me by surprise, a quick notification when you only have 10, would be very nice!

Vorteile:

It's very easy to use, it sends notifications (which really helps when it comes to tracking), and you can export the information. Aside from the platform itself, I really like the availability from people working at test dome, to help us navigate through the platform and creating new tests according to our needs.

Nachteile:

What I like the least about the software, is that questions cannot be translated, and that may affect the comprehension of some questions for non native English speakers.

If you need to have instant results use Testdome

Kommentare: It is a very friendly software, you can start using it without any previuos experience and launch you tests five minutos after buying. The payment process is very trasnparent and secure and you can adjust many details related to your tests

Vorteile:

Low price, easy of use, adaptation, can select from a vast archive of questions related to many technologies

Nachteile:

It could have more technologies covered, and some of the included need to have more questions

Flexible payment plans

Kommentare: It was easy to set up and invite candidates in a short time.

Vorteile:

I like the fact you can purchase a small number of online tests and then top up when required.

Nachteile:

A little expensive If you only require a small number of tests, as it is priced the more you buy the cheaper it gets.

We have been using Testdome for several years, and it has helped us source great applicants. The software is simple to use and highly customizable.

Nachteile:

We wish it integrated directly with Breezy or Workable which are the two recruiting softwares we have used over the years.

Easy to use tool for assessing technical skills prior to interviews

Kommentare: I used to review a lot of software developer CV's and they all look good on paper. I will eventually spend hours interviewing them and will end up discovering they are not at par with our expectations. Having TestDome in place has cut down the unnecessary interviews and did help us find good candidates.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, has good variety of test questions, and provides timely notifications and results

Nachteile:

I would like to see TestDome add more test questions more frequently

Good testing tool but results are not too accurate

Kommentare: I couldn't find any other that is better for now. But I see too many flaws.

Vorteile:

How easy it is to build a test that can be specific to a certain subject or an array of topics.

Nachteile:

Very expensive and some of the responses are marked wrong when there are answers that demonstrate even better technical skills than the "default answer"

TestDome for Recruitment Process

Vorteile:

Easy to use. Easy to setup. Huge library of out-of-the-box tests covering most of the programming languages and frameworks. Includes a debug/run tool to check the programming code real-time. Possibility to include your own questions (multiple choice, programming, etc.)

Nachteile:

Because the current utilization is limited to online recruitment process, there have not been any downsides for this software.

TestDome is a viable alternative to requesting a code sample for software engineer candidates.

Kommentare: TestDome is a reasonable alternative to our required code sample for our software engineer candidates. The tests we assign take less than an hour and give a technical interviewer a point of reference for their technical phone screens.

Vorteile:

Our recruiting team reviewed, customized, implemented and began using TestDome within a couple hours. This product is very easy to use.

Nachteile:

I wish there were more object oriented C++ test questions for us to use.

Good technical (coding) assessment platform

Kommentare: It was good.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use, easy to customize tests and share with candidates.

Nachteile:

Lack of coding questions on the latest software languages and platform.

Kommentare: Overall has been very good in helping us vet candidates before we interview. So far the Pass/Fail rating have been pretty spot on as the candidates we did interview who failed tests also did not go well on interviews.

Vorteile:

Cost, cloud managed, easy to invite candidates, history of tests

Searching to find candidates that did not take tests

Great Tool for Technical Assessments

Kommentare: Very good experience and solid tool to compare candidates pre-employment.

Vorteile:

We enjoy how easy it is to create and modify assessments and send to candidates.

Nachteile:

Occasionally we have to create our own questions as appropriate questions are not available in the test bank.

Testing potential candidates

Kommentare: Very positive overall experience, and I have found some amazing staff using testdome

Vorteile:

The tests were very simple to setup and email to candidates and it certainly separated the wheat from the chaff.

Nachteile:

I would have liked more shorter to solve questions

Nachteile:

Question bank has very less number of questions. If I have to assess more candidates, I have to repeat same questions due to lack to availability of new questions.

Testdome is a gem

Vorteile:

Testdome has a large question library with all kinds of very good tests. More and more tests are becoming AI-resistant which is important in these days of ChatGPT.

Nachteile:

At the moment the amount of AI-resistant questions is still a bit low.
