I like that I can do a quick overview of all claims and approve them and if it does not meat coding guidelines it will let me know so I can take a closer look.
Not universal for all PT conditions and was not able to be medicare compliant due to inability to fax documents.

AdvanceMD Review
Vorteile:
As an accountant for an Institute that provides therapeutic services for the public, AdvanceMD serves as our subledger. The software provides a versatile platform that helps implement customizable features that cater to our specfic needs to ensure that all records are accounted and transparent. We are a satisfied user of this software.
Nachteile:
The interface of the website portal offers a user-friendly experience; however, it does require time and effort to utilize all it's functions properly and with of ease, but that's a given. In other words, you only get what you put into it.

Vorteile:
I am a manager and therefore have full access. There are many features I rave about. The work flow ease from front desk personnel to billers to providers is amazingly user friendly. I do like that there are access limits to set for each job title within the company. The accountability of each service date is complete financially as well as historically. The scheduling module can be as complete as you design it. The fact that we are able to customize certain areas is absolutely wonderful. The EHR portion is very complete. I like that AMD allows additional information to be added at anytime to a patients record not effecting the scheduling. I also like that we are able to access this program on our Ipads for quick usage. I am glad we are able to export reports to excel to manipulate information as necessary. I rave about your program all the time! I have worked with three other programs and am the primary person that hand picked your company's program for Therapediatrics.
Nachteile:
There are always quirks in any system. REPORT ACCESS* and referral/authorization areas could use improvement. I do find that important reports for business purposes such as for finance, current active clients, marketing, HIPAA, rx renewals, referral counts, etc are not accessible unless your purchase an additional module with AMD. There is not a report that pulls all current active patients. There is a report that pulls discharged or deceased, and there should be a report that pull all active only. The referral area does not count referrals/authorizations the way the insurance companies count them, which is critical for our industry. Every single client comes to us by a script and could be accompanied by a referral or authorization. I would like to see this area reviewed to its usefulness for our industry.
Not the best for PT
Kommentare: We recently tried switching from WEBPT to AMD but we lost more money than we gained from the switch so we will be switching back to WEBPT. The problems were being solved but more problems were surfacing and we do not have time for solving more problems and not seeing patients along with not being medicare compliant.
Vorteile:
Importing information for medical history was easy as patient did that at home and automatically went into our evaluation.
Nachteile:
Not universal for all PT conditions and was not able to be medicare compliant due to inability to fax documents.
Our Transition to Advanced MD was easier than anyone could expect.
Vorteile:
Electronic charge entry and claim edits make billing out claims a breeze. I like that I can do a quick overview of all claims and approve them and if it does not meat coding guidelines it will let me know so I can take a closer look.
Nachteile:
cannot group AR module my individual commercial insurance. I can group it by financial class if I just want to look at Medicare or Workers Comp claims but I would like to be able to just look at Beacon Health, or just Tricare.
One of the best EHR systems we have worked with!
Vorteile:
It is very user friendly. Templates are created by the customer and designed specifically for the usage they serve. All of the information is in one area which makes obtaining old physician or therapy notes easy.
Nachteile:
With technology, there comes the risk of system errors. My team experiences system errors probably at least once a week. The errors or slow downs may occur once or it may occur over the course of a few hours.
The system is hard to implement, once it is implemented for most of the parts working smoothly.
Kommentare: I am able to run practice from one software.
Vorteile:
The reason we choose this software for our practice to have an opportunity to combine all of our needs in one system to be able to run smooth day to day functions. From scheduling patients, sending automatic appointment reminders , medical records, great billing possibilities EDI/EFT, credit card charges, and variety of reports. All functions within one system.
Nachteile:
If something does not work properly, some times, it takes for ever for support to figure out the problem and how to fix it.
Primarily positive although recently there has been very slow response time
Vorteile:
I like the ease of being able to schedule, send claims, get answers. I am impressed with almost all of the representatives I talk to. Your software is expensive but the savings and efficiency has been worth it.
Nachteile:
Right now there seems to be some response time issues. I have noticed it since adding the new scheduler format and am hoping it is just issues that will soon be fixed. The wait time can be extremely long and using the actual wait list often locks up the system completely.
Very user friendly and the support provided is always helpful.
Kommentare: I am now able to keep my patient information organized and my financials are easily accessible for accounting purposes.
Vorteile:
What I like most about this software is the ease of scheduling patients and the ability to seek support and ask questions at any time throughout the day. Also, most questions are easily answered by the help contents section on the website.
Nachteile:
Maybe there are too many features and functions within the software making it take quite awhile to learn them all. I also think a 24-hour help desk would be helpful for questions not available in the online help section.
Excellent billing software, large learning curve, helped us condense our operations
Kommentare: Ease of billing, flexibility with the scheduler, EHR for notes. Simplified our practice operations.
Vorteile:
The insurance billing is fairly seamless once you learn it. The EHR has worked in a way we were hoping for. The calendar can handle expansion/growth as we are forecasting. You can easily use this for multiple locations and multiple providers.
Nachteile:
It can take a long time to train new staff the features and functionality of the program. They charge per provider on different features, which can be a little frustrating.

Kommentare: This is the first time in decades that I have a payment rate of over 99% of services provided. I cannot believe how easy it now is to do my own billing and monitor payments.
Vorteile:
Staff support availability and skill is really outstanding. They have consistently been able to train me and repair my mistakes. It is very easy to review problems and income.
Nachteile:
It is a bit too complex for my needs as a psychotherapy sole practice. It would be great if I could get a version that is more tailored to my simple needs.

Vorteile:
Have no issues with this software, but if I do customer service is quick to help. Easy software to use. Set-up seems like a lot in the beginning, but once you actually use it everyday, you can see why the set-up process is the way it is.
I have found that the software is quite powerful and has many parts that I have not yet used
Kommentare: We don't have to spend a ton of money and we're able to bill with ease.
Vorteile:
It is fairly user friendly. The help files are extremely well written and are very easy to understand.
Nachteile:
I find it frustrating having to wait on hold for very long periods of time for Customer Service and often the people that answer are not well versed and give incorrect solutions.
Overall the experience has been pretty good, training could have been better and longer.
Vorteile:
Once you get used to it there is ease at working it. From other billing software that I have seen this is by far easier to maneuver through and find where and what you need to be doing.
Nachteile:
We have had trouble, not sure if its the software or internet, but it will kick you off during the afternoon hours. This happened frequently for a while but now is down to just a few times a month. You can just be working and it just stops.
Best of several EMR systems I've used in my career
Vorteile:
intuitive layout, software reflects knowledge of actual workflows, cloud-based , best set of ready-to-use reports I've encountered. It does not require a separate IT specialist systems administrator to keep it going.
Nachteile:
occasionally I have to hold for a while waiting for a rep on the phone, but the reps are very knowledgeable and understand our business and are able to remote in and help, which is great.
I use the PM daily and really like AMD Insight
Vorteile:
With AMD Insight, I can create and change reports as needed depending on the funding source, location, or by therapist.
Nachteile:
Pricing and the price changing is not the easiest thing for us since we are a nonprofit and every penny is needed.
AMD has been a great switch for our organization.
Kommentare: The ease and accuracy of sending clean claims out and the speed of getting payments in from the payers.
Vorteile:
The training and the follow up was outstanding. The trainer was very patient and helpful taking us through each step of the process. The Support Team has been outstanding with answering those questions that come up.
Nachteile:
Nothing. We've been very satisfied. This is the fourth practice management software I have used over the past 12 years and I have not had any of the issues we have encountered in the past with other systems.
Very knowledgeable and friendly support staff. Trainings when I started were great.

Vorteile:
Easy to use, good support, excellent communication. Software meets all my needs. As a small, solo practice the complexity of billing is not easy for me,. I appreciate the good support I get.
Nachteile:
Complexity of setting up new insurance companies so system recognizes them. I don't think this is necessarily an AMD issue, it is related to our monstrous health care system.
Everyone at Advanced MD has been so helpful, knowledgeable, and has made the experience a pleasure.
Kommentare: It makes my job easier and will help me with focusing on my clients. I am looking forward to using this product for many years. The billing aspect of the software also is quite intuitive and it makes a difficult job manageable.
Vorteile:
It is very intuitive and offers many options to personalize the forms. Claims submission is fast and easy.

Vorteile:
The AMD Dashboard is my most favorite because I can see the health of our company every month. I also like the accounts receivable information in the dashboard that shows how much amount we are expecting to be billed.
Nachteile:
The insurance information sometimes does not flow into AMD when we used the "check eligibility" functionality. We should be given the flexibility to design our own filter(s) in AMD as it relates to our own business reporting requirements.

functionality of software .. has ability to do reports that my billing company likes ... biller states she likes the program after she got used to it and got the training she needed to figure it all out.

Vorteile:
User friendly, very professional designed and the same time simple to work with. The system has a lot of functionalities and definitely meets our requirements.
The sales process was fast; the rest has been downhill.

It is user friendly ; you do not actually need to watch the videos to set it up. I also like the dashboard.
Nachteile:
It's not geared for PT clinics at all. It doesn't even have basic PT modifiers in the program like GP or KX

Kommentare: Overall, I've had a positive experience. I like the security and the reliability of the software.
Vorteile:
I really like that there is a password to join, a waiting room, and I have to be admitted by the doctor prior to meeting. This shows the level of security.
Nachteile:
I wish there was an option to dial out to my phone when joining meetings this way to would not have to use my computer audio.

This software is an all in one program that encompasses 4 different programs our office is currently using.
Nachteile:
While it has highly convenient features, it is costly in that you pay per encounter versus paying one lump sum for the program.
