Simple, efficient – where were you 20 years ago!?

Kommentare: I came on board to take a small not-for-profit and expand it nationally. Board Pro instantly solved what could have been weeks of designing a governance system. Each month we save hours of administrative work.

Vorteile:

Board Pro replicates the board governance process that I have used for years. Everything in one place, board packets are easy to produce and modify. Board members are able to use the files as they wish – online or download the PDF. I love the fact that the formatting is automated. Board Pro saves at least four hours of administration time setting up the board packet. The price point makes it easy to decide to go with the software. It is without peer.

Nachteile:

Small and responsive, the team at Board Pro seemed to anticipate any improvements I could ask for. Impressively, they routinely ask for feedback and ideas.

BoardPro: One Year In and Going Strong

Kommentare: It is a lot of work to prepare meaningful board and committee meetings, BoardPro alerts our members in advance, and provide the opportunity for pre-meeting review of supporting documents. When in the board meeting they are able to access the meeting and documents on their laptops, and follow the discussion in real-time. It allows for deeper board engagement, their eyes are no longer glossing over from an abundance of paper packets and content.

Vorteile:

Ability to organize board meetings with supporting documents for each committee's report.

Nachteile:

Would like to be able to create a MASTER board meeting or committees' meeting, and then enter a recurring date range, or enter custom dates and have the software duplicate and repeat for the entire calendar year.

BoardPro doing all the hard work for you!

Kommentare: Easy to use, easy to figure out, and if in doubt you have an assistant to help you.

Vorteile:

It creates the Agenda for me. So easy and able to drop the files in.

Nachteile:

probably the font, and the overall look. Quite hard on the eyes, feel like it could be outlayed differently.

BoardPro -- the ONLY affordable Board portal solution

Kommentare: Easy billing, available extras like free continuing education programs on governance, and while they have higher paid programs they do not try to upsell you. Customer support is available through text. Note that they are an Australian company, so there are some word-spelling differences ("organisation" vs "organization") and their regular business hours are not convenient to Americans, but this is a minor inconvenience and actually something I like about them.

Vorteile:

BoardPro is the most affordable of all the board portal programs. It is a bit more bare-bones than some other programs, but it fits our needs and does so for a fraction of the cost. It keeps tracks of meeting schedules, agendas, and added documents for review. Our Board members are able to access the information for the meetings, and the system sends them reminder notifications automatically. The program works well for us.

Nachteile:

It is a bit more bare-bones than other software, so aesthetically there are a few things I would change but they are insignificant. The thing that I like least is that there are a couple of programs that are available for an upcharge that I would like to be included in the basic program. The one that I would most like included at the basic rate is the add on that allows Board members to vote online.

BoardPro is the best current offering on the market

Kommentare: Straight-forward. A far more user-friendly product than other platforms that we've used previously. The layout is cleaner and functional.

Vorteile:

Its a very user-friendly platform, that has all the features we need.

Nachteile:

Not much to be fair, it's a very good platform. The only thing I'd like to see is 'flying minutes' be automatically populated into the Board pack to be approved as they are with the previous meeting's minutes.

Boardpro for professional efficient meetings

Kommentare: I like Boardpro, I would and do recommend it.

Vorteile:

I am a Boardpro administrator and I find it very easy to load papers into the platform and organise them in a format specific to our companies and the type of meeting we are having, whether it be a board, strategy, or review meeting. I have used other platforms and this is by far the easiest and most efficient to use.

Nachteile:

The approval process for a decision seems to be a bit repetitive, entering in what we are approving a couple of times. Also it would be great if there was a button to indicate of the decision was approved unanimously or by majority vote.

Kommentare: Seamless, which is essential in my role.

Vorteile:

Ease of use and navigation makes BoardPro an essential component of our board process.

Nachteile:

I'd be keen to see our organisation introduce two factor authentication to access BoardPro given the sensitivity of the information it contains.

Why I love Boardpro

Kommentare: Very easy transition from paper to Boardpro, the help center has been very responsive and helpful in getting us set up

Vorteile:

Its intuitive and user friendly, no more chasing around trying to find documents, no more scanning and emailing

Nachteile:

I was initially nervous at the prospect of changing from paper to online, but it's been so easy, and I have recommended Boardpro to all my business colleagues.

Governance Game Changer

Kommentare: Really efficient and easy to use. An excellent time-saving tool for governance professionals.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Updates can be made in real time.

Nachteile:

There are no features that I find difficult to use.

Best thing we have done.

Kommentare: One of the best things we have done. We are a small not-for-profit whose committee unfortunately tends to have people elected to it from an AGM who don't understand governance and who too easily delve into trivia wasting a lot of time. BoardPro assists greatly in structuring agendas which helps the chair keep people on message.

Vorteile:

It's simplicity and well structured layout. The generation of documents such as agendas and minutes are just a matter of adding text where needed, the layout template works well. The automatic cross referencing of 'decisions' 'action' & 'notes' makes it easy to do follow ups and have them stored in the appropriate places. We now have our meeting documentation on a screen, no need to print out screeds of paper to take to the meeting. The ability to search on a topic to see previous occurrences of an issue.

Nachteile:

It's not a matter of not liking something but there are some areas where I would like to see improvements. We use 'Documents' as an archiving or filing system for our key documents, but if you want to edit a document you have to download it back to say word and then upload it again when done. Would be nice to be able to edit a document inside BoardPro. Meeting attendees at say an AGM can't be listed easily, there can be dozens at an AGM. This could be a category labeled 'member' or something similar, with no access rights but can be listed as attendees. You can't go straight to 'documents' upon opening BoardPro, you need to open a meeting first. May have this wrong, but we have a committee chair, but he doesn't always chair the meeting. Can't see how who chaired the meeting can be noted. We usually note this in the Introduction section.

Great for charities

Kommentare: As a new user of BoardPro, my experience has been fantastic. I have found it easy to earn and it considerably reduces the time it takes me to put together the agenda and to record meeting minutes and actions. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to simplify their meeting records and maintain consistency.

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to plan meetings and record minutes. I also love how BoardPro records who is responsible for actions, then emails them reminders about completing these actions. The layout is easy to edit to suit our needs and easy for the team to read.

Nachteile:

We are a charity and get the nonprofit rate. It is still of largest subscription expense so it would be nice if the discount was greater. But as BoardPro is so good, we are happy to pay the amount we do.

BoardPro is a great app for administering board meetings

Kommentare: Been super positive experience. The team at BoardPro are always on hand to help with training and clarify any issues.

Vorteile:

Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to use. It saves me so much time from collating a pile of PDFs and having to create page numbers, hyperlinks etc. The Board love being able to use it in the meetings and for pre-reads and it's great for taking minutes in the meeting too. It's nicely automated with action points and it's great to have everything in one place for everyone to access, including governance docs, policies etc. Great customer service too - very prompt and good information and advice. So pleased to have it!

Nachteile:

It's not quite up to my normal standard of presentation with fonts and layout so I have to get over it looking a bit ugly! You need to remember to save the minutes (notes) as you go - they don't do it automatically.

Great easy platform for board/governance support!

It is a great platform for governance support. An easy programme to use with specific functions for governance work. The layout of the menu bar is clear dashboard, meetings/calendar schedule, actions, documents...etc. are all really clear functions helping governance/board meeting support. i really enjoy the easy transfer of info for minute taking, confirming minutes for upcoming meetings and communication with members. it's really easy to use overall

Nachteile:

To duplicate agenda items into future meetings. For example, I have a scheduled meeting for December and previous agenda items from September I would like to duplicate an item/s for December meeting instead having to re-write it/copy paste etc. I know I can re-create a new meeting and duplicate agenda items that way but it would be great to be able to duplicate specific agenda items AND its content into meetings instead deleting the meeting and starting a new one Also, if there was a way to connect our outlook app to the schedule meeting as an event and inform our members, team. that would be great

Good choice for our bank board

Kommentare: Excellent. Our board includes people with a variety of technical expertise. They've all managed to become competent navigating within the system. I'd be very reluctant to move to a different provider.

Vorteile:

BoardPro is easy to use and more affordable than comparable products. This system has greatly simplified the distribution of monthly board packages.

Nachteile:

The only real problem we've had was convincing our auditors and examiners that a company based in New Zealand was safe. As a bank, we're under extra scrutiny but the team at BoardPro worked to help provide documentation needed.

Multi-agency boards

Kommentare: Very good - easy to set up and use, saves me time and good support from the team

Vorteile:

Really intuitive to set up and use. Boards have taken to it really well, with very little support required from management. Putting meeting packs together is a million times easier than bundling PDFs

Nachteile:

Minutes function is a bit clunky - lots of back and forth between notes, decisions and actions Visual presentation in PDF format is unattractive with limited (and not very user friendly) design options Our boards would like the app version to provide same functionality as web version

BoardPro is preety cool.

Kommentare: Overall it works very well, easy to find way around, keeps people update on position of action, couldn't run a board now with out BoardPro. Webinars and associated resources very good and useful

Vorteile:

It works very well for our board - keeps everything running smoothly. Good backup resources if needed. Prompt help when asked for.

Nachteile:

Woulds like to be able to make notes in documents that only i can see when i open board pro - not to be saved in the long term

A Refreshing and Helpful change

Kommentare: A refreshing change for our committees which makes for a better meeting experience.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to navigate compared to our usual system. All documents are in the one place and meeting planner clearly visible. Love the format of the agenda doc, ie hyperlink to the relevant document and then back arrow to the main agenda. Also everyone could use it first time, so very user friendly.

Nachteile:

I wanted to make my own highlights and notes in preparation for the meeting but the BoardPro Notes version meant the notes were visible to everyone.

It Just Works!

Kommentare: Since introduced to our Directors in 2021, BoardPro has provided a very positive experience for all users, not just Directors. It just works!

Vorteile:

Ease of use, prompt support and a very nice look when you’re navigating around the screen.

Nachteile:

I can’t think of anything negative about BoardPro.

Great tool for professional directors

Kommentare: Have used for 2-3 years without any problem and I see the BoardPro system as being very useful and helps produce meaningful board meetings

Vorteile:

It keeps everything in one central place and I have reasonable certainty of the security of confidential info.

Nachteile:

When I mark up sections in yellow for specific reference during meetings I need to be careful that words do not get obliterated.

A+ for BoardPro

That minutes can be captured and is transferred over to the next meeting to confirm.

Board Pro feedback

Kommentare: Great, easy to use & read and everything I need sitting in one place.

Easy to access and refer to, no need for paper. Love the added tools of highlight and writing notes.

Nachteile:

was a b it clunky to use at first. and once I navigated my way round it works well for me. Use Board pro on several boards I am on.

Auditor using Board Pro

Kommentare: Satisfied. Maintains a perfect log for audit purposes and showcases / ensures boards are performing controls as intended to.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, ability to have all documents stored in one place. Best is maintaining a digital log/trace that can be referred to at any convenient time.

Nachteile:

I use my login for audit purposes - to review board packs and when i have to go early on in the year I have no manually go scrolling. Would be really handy if there was an ability to personalise dashboard for the user, or perhaps add a calendar on the side with a coloured circle on meeting dates just to make it quicker to scroll through.

BoardPro - game changer

Kommentare: Game-changing. It takes me less time to put the Board Papers together and the Board can also take notes as they go through BoardPro at the meetings

Really intuitive, saves me time, and easy to copy agendas

I haven't had any problems with BoardPro - everything is great.
