Highly Recommend Crowdin for Translation Work
Kommentare: I highly recommend Crowdin for translation work. I have already recommended it to friends who are using it for their projects. Of all the translation tools I have used, it is my favorite.
Vorteile:
Crowdin is a fantastic platform that has made the translation process incredibly smooth. It's super easy to use, even for beginners, with a user-friendly interface that anyone can navigate. The website loads quickly, which is a huge plus when managing large projects. The machine translation feature provides helpful context based on work you have already done. Plus, the glossary feature ensures consistency across all translations, maintaining our high-quality standards.
Nachteile:
The overall project management on Crowdin could use some improvement. The dashboard process, in particular, needs refining. It would be great to have more intuitive and easy-to-understand dashboards that clearly show the amount of work completed over time. This enhancement would make tracking progress much more efficient and user-friendly.
Versatile tool that accommodates to your needs
Kommentare: Starting off as a translator, the Editor is very easy to use. Once I went about localising my own projects, I started using Crowdin without any doubts and this sped up the process significantly. The support team is amazing and the product is very versatile.

When starting off with localising my projects, the support team reached out to see if they could accommodate to my needs. Some of my projects are open sourced, and Crowdin has special resources for projects like this. Everything was disclosed and handled very clearly, and there were no (unpleasant) surprises. I even managed to move a project to Crowdin Enterprise relatively easily once the project became too large to manage on Crowdin.com.
Nachteile:
It is sometimes a bit annoying that Crowdin Enterprise and Crowdin.com are each restricted and confusing to use in their own way. Crowdin Enterprise is not very friendly for translators. Crowdin.com doesn't offer all the management tools you'd like. It would be better if the two products fused together into one great product.

Lacking Crucial Features
Vorteile:
The interface is well designed and the task feature is extremely time saving.
Nachteile:
Why are TM matches vs string history vs MT suggestions in the same spot and not easily distinguished? It makes translation difficult for all parties. From an LSP partner perspective, it does not make sense to use CrowdIn. The security access controls are not present. So unless your organization is purely crowd-sourcing, the ability to comply with ISO and other standards is near impossible. But also the key concept of having multiple linguists work on a project at the same time without the ability to cross over into each other's content is missing.
Great localization product
Vorteile:
Crowdin has been a huge help for our localization projects. Our Localization manager and all translaters are using this tool on daily basis with ease and without any complaints. The user experience is great as well as the customer experience . The implementation of the tool was a breeze and I can recommend this tool to everyone.
Nachteile:
I am happy to note that nothing comes to mind at the moment to dislike about Crowdin.
A complete service for your app

Crowdin was simple to setup, the UI is very simple and it has a lot of feature. Support always been here via chat when I needed some help. There are a few issue sometimes but overall it's a very complete, robust and useful tool for i18n in our web app
Nachteile:
It is a bit hard to understand some complex flow and correct implementation with Crowdin. Like it would be very helpful to have some better documentation and explanation of the flow suggested by crowdin.

Vorteile:
UI for managing projects and perform translations/proofreading is very good. Activity section is also very useful.
Nachteile:
As of purchasing translation UI - it's not always intuitive and can be improved.
Cost efficient product
Kommentare: The overall experience with Crowdin is good.
Vorteile:
Crowdin provides the most capabilities on the market while being a very reasonably priced SaaS.
Nachteile:
Many apps are of low quality and constantly have issues, customer support is helpful, however is not going over the board to solve the issue. Developer seats should not be priced as manager seats.

One of the best translation tools
Kommentare: I'm translator of an open-source project and I also propose, implement and use this tool in multiple companies I work for.
Vorteile:
All my translators can work with this tool without asking many questions. Support for many formats.
Nachteile:
Sometimes slower UI for larger projects.

Great translation platform, legendary support
Kommentare: We have used Crowdin to manage translations of our software and our whitepaper. Now we're looking at translating our documentation too. We crowd sourced the translations to 30+ languages by nearly 100 translators so far. Thanks to the GitHub integration, our open-source software codebase is continuously synchronized with our Crowdin project across versions. Finally, we have leveraged the Webhok and Crowdin APIs to build a fine-grained integration with our product, which will allow us to further gamify and incentivize translations.
Vorteile:
Good UX, excellent support, great integration capabilities, and supports all kinds of translation workflows.
Nachteile:
Because it's so powerful, it has a lot of settings that can be intimidating to administrate.

Vorteile:
Ease of use. Can be "branded". API, upon release of the site we can just upload files to Crowdin, and fetch the latest translations.
Nachteile:
The pricing is actually expensive for us. And yet we still have a plan that hasn't existed for years. We have community translators that translates for free. But it's not even a hundred strings per year. And for that, the price is quite expensive.
Great for our purpose
Kommentare: Very useful to collate multiple language translations for the same English text. Excellent customer service; responses are very quick, proficient and provide answers to any issues you raise.
Vorteile:
Easy to add in new requests for translations, like adding screenshots and tagging scripts. Can see the progress of each translated language. Can use the completed translations to directly upload into out platform when relevant (to our system).
Nachteile:
Messaging facility to translators could be improved so there is an easier way to communicate, how to understand what the translators see, would be good to get notified when a translation is completed. A way to download a complete and easy to use file of all translations for a task.

Useful for everyone
Kommentare: I have started using Crowdin few years back to help translate so many apps to my native language and make it more easy-to-use then. Since then I started to love this because of its easy, clear and fast using among all the projects, translations etc. I dont like other services that are used for translating to be honest! This is 10/10!

I really love listing all the translations as a one, because some other webs that devs are using for translations, have all in one strings, which is annoying and finding new ones is even more annyoing there. Here in crowdin? Easy and fast. Also searching new or old strings is fast and easy, too!

I have found anything bad about Crowdin to be honest.

Kommentare: Good work when comparing especially with direct text string translation by other software developers I use to translate from English into Slovak language.
Vorteile:
For translator database and machine translation as both of them are saving work for translator.
Nachteile:
Sometimes it is not clear how to translate special characters, various types of line break and spaces. Also it is not always clear what is limit length for translation as many times it is longer than English source. Sometimes is missing context of the translation.
Convenient platform for multilingual projects
Kommentare: I like Crowdin multifunctionality, it's very easy to use, and it's interface is very helpful to have everything near at hand

Centralized tool for bigger teams to work on the same project, easy to use, clear interface, TM availability, search option

Poor TM editing options, search is not perfect - sometimes it's more effective to use "search in file" rather that search TM
One of the most efficient translation tool
Kommentare: I'm pretty happy with Crowdin. Although the free plan is a bit limited, the platform is well-thought-out and works very well. It allows you to be efficient without too much configuration, whether you're an individual or a large company.

The cost might be high, and the free plan is very limited. Some documentation is missing on some points, such as integrations

The spell check feature is amazing. As a translator I sometimes get corrected in things I didn't even have a grammatical clue.

The interface is kind of overwhelming with all the available tools everywhere but it's a matter of time to get used to it.
My localization platform of choice

Vorteile:
The UI is very responsive, with a good feature-set, easy to use and there are always enough translators around to help out.
Nachteile:
No real downsides. The interface can be complicated on the small screens, but it is sadly to be expected.
A good product to get both CES and CSAT
Vorteile:
Easy to set up new flows, as we evaluate several processes separately and start it based on events, it is very important for us that we don't spend too much time implementing the evaluation of the new processes using CES.
Nachteile:
Not many. Sometimes could be easier to understand some configurations, but when you have learned it, it works.
Crowdin Review 2023
Vorteile:
I like most about Crowdin, the ease of access to the platforms I worked on and that Crowdin keeps track of every word I type or correct. The fact that Crowdin let's me use my Google Log In, makes it so much easier to remember a single password instead of one more on the list.
Nachteile:
Yhere is nothing I did not like about Crowdin. I was part of a team and our team leader would have a more accurate idea of what to write here.
Good internationalization and translations manager
Vorteile:
It's easy to use and allows our company to have content in different languages and be able to have internationalization for our pages easily. Also, it allows us to delegate the translation of the content to other team.
Nachteile:
You don't have environments for testing, so you have all the translations in the same account, therefor you have to be more careful when you change keys so they don't disappear from production
