Vorteile:

I love the ability to create packages and itinerary, send them to my clients, and have them to do everything else from there, with minimal interaction from myself.

Nachteile:

I utilize WeTravel for my safari company and my travel agency. On the travel agency side, I just wish there was a way to collect credit card information to pay suppliers without doing a transaction on WeTravel. On TravelJoy the feature is called "supplier payment" and it's designed to pay suppliers via their website. Everything is encrypted and you have to enter your password in order to view the card and billing information.

Kommentare: My biggest pain points in selling group trips were online booking and payment processing, and in those two arenas, WeTravel has completely solved my problems and revolutionized my business. The customer service has always been top notch, not to mention the personal conversations that make me feel like a valued customer. I so appreciate that you guys ask me what I'd like to see, and then you actually implement improvements. It feels good to align with a company that is so progressive and wants to keep getting better, which is exactly how I feel about my business too, and WeTravel is helping me get better!Also just for the record, it was horrible when you froze funds during Covid - I hope you never feel like you have to freeze our funds again!

Vorteile:

The online booking and payment processing functions are the real highlights of WeTravel for me. I love the easy integration of the direct to checkout button, payment plans and tracking, low processing fees, money transfer options, and payment and customer database management.

Nachteile:

I wish there were a real function for a full customer database (for example - in the current database, when more than one person is included in a booking, the second person isn't reflected accurately like they don't exist). Also it'd be great if I could customize fields and other info in a database, like how many and which trips a customer has been on (even before I used WeTravel), etc. Perhaps an integration with Wise as well, to easily send money internationally straight from the WeTravel account.

Kommentare: I found this platform, took a look at it and jump without doing further research, so this is on me. I started working on the page as they allow you to do so before verifying you, this is on them. After sending every little piece of documentation they asked me for (some of them very sensitive information, but understandable because they deal with people's money, almost 9 hours of work on the trip page, and almost paying the pro package to be able to access some features, I received an email telling me that they were "denying me service". No reason whatsoever, only that "the decision was final and would not be changed. I ran to the site to try to recuperate all the material I had uploaded to the page, but they had already removed my page and blocked my account. I have been trying to make sense of this as I have no idea what could had happened for them to be so drastic. I have emailed the same person that sent me the "decision", asking him to please let me have the material back as it is my intellectual property (this was for a destination wedding) but they have ignored every one of my emails. Now, they have my personal information, my intellectual property, and I have nothing, not even an email back with an explanation (which I still want) or an apology for removing my material without giving me the opportunity to recuperate it. Absolutely unprofessional!

Vorteile:

Feature is not that hard to manage. To incorporate it in your website is a different story.

Hi Carol, First of all, we are sorry for the challenge you experienced with verifying your business to use WeTravel. For context, here is an explanation of our verification policies and procedures. WeTravel has three possible verification decisions: 1. Full approval (funds available any time) 2. Partial approval (funds available after the trip) 3. Denial of service. This is stated in our public FAQ: https://help.wetravel.com/en/articles/1619345-how-to-get-verified-for-payouts We always encourage any new company or organizer to right away verify their account. All new users are notified several times through in-dashboard pop-ups and notifications about the necessity to verify their accounts. The verification process is also clearly outlined in our help center. Our verification process follows a strict, legally-binding process to ensure the highest standards are met, for all stakeholders. We are obliged to verify each user thoroughly due to the "future delivery risk" inherent in processing payments for travel companies. Many independent travel agents and individual organizers receive a "Partial Approval", meaning their funds are available only after a trip has ended. Most companies with several employees and a verifiable, multi-year track record receive "Full Approval". It's important to note that most of our individual organizers without established payment history choose to link their Stripe Standard accounts and receive all of their funds from the bookings directly there. When a business is issued a Denial of Service, the business is legally required to stop all communication with the individual/business. However, we can confirm, WeTravel does not store any financial or sensitive user data on WeTravel servers. Hi like that the platform is not only a paiement platform but also a complete solution to optimize your trips and booking.You will receive a complete training session if you need and all your staff will have access to itAn other very nice part is that you really have a personalized relationship with the staff managing your account - they are super easy to contact, super knowledgeable and really friendly at the time to answer your question or solve your problems - Special thanks to [sensitive content hidden] who have been working a lot in making our experience smoother and very friendly

Nachteile:

it's actually not exactly about WeTravel - but the time it takes from making a wire transfer and receiving - it's inconsistent (it can take just 1 day or 2 - or about a week) To be fair it's more an issue with the international wire transfer than WeTravel themselve

Other platforms allow to download a sort of "statement" with all the transaction per month. WeTravel only allows to download an excell with the data, but a more legal document would be prefered.

As an educational tour operator, we have heavy scrutiny not only on the user experience but on collecting sensitive student data, and with Wetravel we know that we are always in compliant with the requests of our University partners.

Vorteile:

Wetravel allows our business to focus on providing the service that is needed and takes care of our user registration, payment processing etc in a very seamless way. It is easy to train team members, provides a great user experience, and simply embeds in our website.

Nachteile:

Wetravel does a great job adding features on a continuous basis. There seems to be some confusion with users coming back to the platform, causing double registrations on certain programs as the user often forgets that they already made a wetravel account and registered for a trip.

The page design is great. It's pretty easy to use. It centralizes a lot of processes into one platform. The customer service is exceptional and the regular updates keep making it better and better.

Nachteile:

Character restrictions in many fields. Ability to pay a custom amount is only available with a payment plan. Added options pricing can't be changed by our company after booking.

What I like the most of We Travel is being able to keep track of incoming payments. And the accessibility to the clients database in real time.

Nachteile:

I do not dislike this feature. However, WE Travel representative will take up to 2 hours to answer to your questions via chat. On the other hand, once they answer to you they will also follow up via email to make sure your questions have been answer completely.

We Love WeTravel!

Vorteile:

As the owner of an international retreat travel business (SolSeed Retreats) that runs over 20 trips annually, WeTravel has been a huge asset to us! Not only are is their customer service team incredibly helpful and responsive, but their trip registration pages and payment processing features are very user friendly and easy to navigate and set up to your liking. We also love how they are constantly improving their softwares’ functionality and adding new features for payment collection in multiple currencies, vendor payouts, registrant information collection and more. The best part? Their fees are only 1% of your trip’s revenue, which is much less than Square or PayPal. We look forward to continuing to partner with WeTravel for our retreat registration and payment processing for years to come!

Nachteile:

The only con would be information collection. We're still trying to optimize the way we collect info from retreat participants to make it as easeful as possible. WeTravel has some great information collection features, but it would be nice to have more comprehensive and user friendly information collection abilities, or even an app where you can push out notifications to participants, and collect info from them that way.

Great for an Travel Tour Agency

Kommentare: Excellent - While we did list one wish list fix, our overall experience is great. I really like how the team responds quickly via chat and will work with you over little or big issues. Finance is easy with WeTravel and they built a system that looks great.

Vorteile:

We moved to WeTravel for the nice-looking pages and seamless customer experience. It is very easy to use for our customers (in our case members) and for our team on the back end. Payment processing is seamless and we are able to pass credit card fees onto the customer. Refunds are simple and easy as well.

Nachteile:

This system is great for a tour/travel agency that offers very simple experiences. We have more complicated trips and packages that we offer and the simplicity of the system requires us to "make it work". The previous system we used did not look as great, but some of the custom functionality really made the experience better for the end user. Example: Someone signs up for a TOUR. We need 2 required components select. 1) Lodging Option & 2) Flight Option - Right now the system only allows one require component. it would be nice to be able to create groupings of these required components for a trip or tour. We have a workaround by adding everything in "Options" and trying to walk customers through process of selecting those options.

Easy to use platform

Kommentare: Since we made the switch to WeTravel, we have saved time with our initial trip setup, as well as the day to day management of trips. Getting time back so that you can spend it on other things is a huge win. As I have learned to utilize all that the software has to offer, everyone I have talked to/worked with has been incredibly helpful.

WeTravel is incredibly intuitive to use and the customer service is amazing! Our dedicated agent [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is fantastic and keeps me informed about new features as they are added, so that I am getting the most use out of the platform. The ability to either customize an trip or work off of a "stock template" has been great. There are so many great features that are offered, I simply can't list them all! So getting an easy to use platform (for both us and our customers) with an amazing amount of tools to work with has been a game-changer for our company.

Nachteile:

As of now, I don't know as though I have anything I don't like about the software!

Vorteile:

They care about their clients and are very accessible and responsive. The continuing education is very informative and a nice perk. Nice, clean aesthetic that befits a modern tour company.

Nachteile:

They are just starting to scale to bigger companies after working with smaller entities in the past, so not all the features you want are there. Certain features are not as flexible and building a tour is not as dynamic as would be with other companies.

A useful platform to accept bookings

Kommentare: It is the main platform we use for new bookings for our experiences (retreats). The main reason we use it is because we like the option to list different experiences with different packages and instalments at each one. However, we find very time consuming to handle new bookings after they've been made, as we have to copy paste manually all the fields on our excels to have this dynamic overview of bookings that is missing.

Vorteile:

- Option to add several instalments to a product package - Automatic reminders to customers for due payments - Quick customer support ([SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been very quick and knowledgeable) - Easy to refund and cancel a booking without extra fees

Nachteile:

- No dynamic dashboard to view bookings, payments, instalmets due (You can only download the excel of the bookings but once a new booking is made, you need to re-download it and any notes you kept at the excel are gone.) - No feature to view an overview of bookings. You can add notes to each guest, but there there is no overview to see them. You have to click on every partIcipant to view notes (which is not practical/ useful) - Receipt Number appears ONLY on the confirmation email we receive when someone pays. On the payment dashboard there is no place where the receipt number of each transaction can be found

Great tool for small companies

Kommentare: We used PayPal before and it was a headache! They retained my money twice and it was impossible to contact a human being to solve the problem. We lost our money and I didn't feel comfortable asking for payments with PayPal.I loved the support that both [sensitive content hidden] has given us, even after hours.I feel that they care!Maybe I am "old school" and to be able to reach a person has been a real treat for me. As mentioned before, the difficulty in interpreting payments when they arrive to my bank account, when more than one transaction is lumped together.Also, the slowness of receiving payments from Bank transfers.My clients are often confused when they see WeTravel branding instead of Excursions from the Square

Great platform for promoting and booking tours

Kommentare: Onboarding was very easy and the support staff has been great at responding to questions quickly. I really like the quarterly meetings with my account manager to update on what's going on and talk through any suggestions/issues.

Vorteile:

Like the ease of creating an itinerary and sending a link with payment options directly to a client. Also helpful for creating groups and letting individual travelers book into them. Collecting client information is a breeze and you can customize what you want to know from your travelers.

Nachteile:

I wish there was a way to produce a final itinerary/documents or vouchers.

Great platform to manage retreat bookings

Kommentare: I personally love working with WeTravel. Customer service is excellent, and I felt very supported during the pandemic.

Vorteile:

WeTravel has made running retreats easy to use and helps keep me organized.

Nachteile:

I feel the monthly fee on top of the transaction fees feels like a lot. Especially since I do not have retreats booked throughout the entire year. Other features that I wish were present are waivers being mandatory to sign during the registration process, direct links to rooming options, photos for rooming options, better formatting for the cover photo, or perhaps even a video option (or a video option any place on the site itself), and the overall home page being more engaging. It feels very text heavy and I wish there was a way to customize it a bit more.

Kommentare: Overall it’s been a good for us to use WeTravel for all of our booking needs. We’ve been using them since 2017 so it’s wild to see how much it’s grown and evolved over the years.

At this time we only use WeTravel for all our booking needs. We love the ease of use, backend logistics, and direct access to customer service if something comes up or there is a question we need answered.

Nachteile:

Wish there was a way to break up discounts and waiting lists to only be available for a certain trip instead of for all trips under the same url.

Kommentare: Very good, the only thing is when the page crashes, this happens from time to time, not often but when it does it is very annoying.

Sometimes it crashes when we are working not saving any advances, this is very draining.
