Open Source Tool für Zusammenarbeit

Vorteile:

Das es eine Open Source Lösung ist, die keine Lizenzgebühren kostet.

Nachteile:

Die Bedienung ist nicht immer intuitiv. Es erschließt sich nicht alles von selbst.

Einfaches Filesharing - leicht gemacht

Kommentare: Kompaktes Tool mit vielen Möglichkeiten.

Vorteile:

Einfache Bedienung, gerade für die Mitarbeiter ist es eine Erleichterung und man hat wenig Administrationsaufwand. Es ist sozusagen ein Kinderspiel das Produkt zu nutzen. Von kostenlos bis einem humanen Lizenzmodell bei Erweiterung ist alles dabei. Der Client synchronisiert in Echtzeit und kann auf nah zu allen Plattformen genutzt werden.

Nachteile:

Vereinzelt kommt es mal zu bugs in der Windows-App vor, die werden aber auch schnell in einer neuen Version behoben.

Gut für Datenschutz

Kommentare: Gut. Das Ökosystem bietet viel, auch gibt es viele Firmen welche Consulting, Support oder sogar den Betrieb anbieten.

Vorteile:

Die Software kann selbst betrieben werden, was insbesondere aus Datenschutzgründen einen Vorteil bietet.

Nachteile:

Die Wartbarkeit ist anstrengend, da es Nextcloud immer wieder schafft Bugs einzuführen, welche frustrieren.

Die perfekte Cloud zum Selberhosten

Kommentare: Ich nutze Nextcloud für meine private und berufliche Dokumentenfreigabe. Ich kann sowohl persönliche Dokumente (auf eigenem Server) hochladen als auch Materialien für meinen Chor oder meine Kunden zur Verfügung stellen. Durch ein geschicktes Rechtemanagement (Nutzer, Gruppen, Linkfreigabe) geht das alles problemlos zusammen mit einer Cloud.

Vorteile:

Schnell eingerichtetes Cloud-Hosting. Selbstgehostet, daher keine Datenschutzbedenken.Leichte Konfigurierbarkeit und einfache Updates.Bei Bedarf sind alle Wartungsfunktionen über die Server-Kommandozeile verfügbar.Der Nextcloud-Client zur Synchronisierung (Windows, Android) ist einfach, schnell und zuverlässig

Nachteile:

Hin und wieder kommt es zu Fehlermeldungen beim Dateiupload.Synchronisierung einer verschlüsselten Passwort-Datenbank mit Android-Smartphone klappt manchmal nicht zuverlässig.Die Einrichtung von Nextcloud mit All-Inkl-Hosting war etwas tricky (mit entsprechender Anleitung aber gut machbar)

Gute Ansätze

Strikte Begrenzung der Datenmenge durch die Admins

Bester Cloud Anbieter im KMU Bereich

Kommentare: Wirklich durwegs positiv. Arbeite nun schon etliche Jahre damit und bin sehr zufrieden!

Vorteile:

Wenn man eine günstige/gratis Lösung sucht ist Nextcloud momentan mit Abstand einer der besten Lösungen! Kann eigentlich alles im Bereich von Sharing und hat Apps dazu, wo man beliebig Erweiterungen installieren kann.

Nachteile:

Nicht ganz so schnell wie Google Drive oder Ähnliche Dienste, wobei es natürlich auch immer auf den eigenen Server ankommt.

Gute open source cloud hosting software

Vorteile:

Orientiert sich stark an den UI-Interfaces der anderen Clouddienste. Performance und Stabilität sind gut. Es gibt einen guten Mobile-client. Man kann Dateien oder Ordner mit Links spezifisch freigeben.

Nachteile:

Design ein wenig altmodisch. Produkt noch nicht ganz ausgereift.

Nextcloud

Vorteile:

Nextcloud lässt sich einfach administrieren, es können sehr einfach Freigaben erzeugt werden

Nachteile:

Integration von anderen Diensten ist abhängig von der Nextcloudversion und funktioniert nicht immer einafach

Gute Lösung

Vorteile:

Bin zufrieden . Läuft rund und ist eine gute Cloud Lösung. Wirkt sehr sicher

Nachteile:

Manchmal dauert das synchronisieren etwas lange

Sehr gute Alternative zu Dropbox & Co.

Unbegrenzte Nutzeranzahl, leichte Administrierbarkeit, Plattformunabhängigkeit, viele verfügbare Apps, auch von Drittanbietern

Nachteile:

Noch nicht vollkommen ausgereifte Integration in MacOS. Einige Funktionen, die bei Dropbox möglich sind, fehlen noch oder sind nicht 100% ausgereift

Nicht gut geeignet für embeddet Video geht nur mit zusätzlicher App

Vorteile:

Nextcloud Talk und das Teilen von Dokumenten

Keine On Demand Speicherung wie bei MS Onedrive (d.h. es müssen immer alle Dateien am PC gespeichert sein)

Own your own cloud server

Kommentare: You phone is important and the data on it is even more important. With some products, it uploads a small amount of information but misses text messages, caller loags, and other critical files. With an 8tb hard drive, expenses from other commercial cloud art era go down keeping your information safe and secure.

Vorteile:

Fast and secured file transfers from phones and cloud server using VPN and SSL options.

Nachteile:

Sometimes you work on app but when an update happens, it isn't available (probably for good reasons).

NextCloud for Businees Cloud

Vorteile:

The biggest plus is that it is open source. Multifunctional software with apps that can be added

Nachteile:

Sometimes it becomes unstable and takes time to recover.

Nextcloud Software: A Dissatisfying Experience

Kommentare: I was disappointed because I wanted more than what I received.

Vorteile:

My first impression of Nextcloud software was quite good. Initially, I used it as external storage. My initial impression of Nextcloud was positive.

Nachteile:

I wanted to leverage its online collaboration capabilities to work with my team. However, I encountered recurring problems with the online edition, and it works poorly, leading to significant frustration.

Works well for file sharing service

Kommentare: Overall, the software performs the specific task we needed it for, so have no complaints as a whole. As noted, there are a couple of "nice to have" things, though, that would make it much better.

Vorteile:

We needed the ability to accept files (e.g., a file drop service), and this was easily accomplished with Nextcloud. It was fairly simple to set up and has worked very well.

Nachteile:

I wish integrations like Microsoft 365 authentication were better built in. There is some support, but it's extremely cumbersome. I had it working for a while, and then out of nowhere it just stopped. No clue what happened. I didn't want to risk that in production, so for now, we've disabled that and created separate accounts. I would also like better local encryption options.

An open source alternative to Micrososft 365

Vorteile:

Nextcloud is open source and you can keep the control of your datas.

Nachteile:

Mail app is not good enough yet. It is slow and lacks some essential functionalities.

Nextcloud a must have company tool

Vorteile:

Open source, high level of security and privacy, fully configurable without software restrictions. Great support

Nachteile:

Although Nextcloud is well documented and a big community is providing support, setting up Nextcloud from scratch requires some IT skills and knowledge.

All premium features for a cloud system, on premise.

Vorteile:

I use self-hosted Nextcloud for me and for some of our customers and we are all satisfied: in a click you can save, share, search your files and documents. There are many extensions available as OCR, photo retouch and so on and you can connect also external sourced as S3, Google Drive, Dropbox and others.

Nachteile:

Nextcloud community is not easy to install, but if you know systems a little and follow instructions you can do it by yourself. As an alternative you can buy Nextcloud

Great solution for file sharing

Vorteile:

I tried 4 different solutions for my simple use case of keeping family photos on my personal “cloud” aka a computer in my house that has access to the Internet. Complex, feature rich, open source! A fork of ownCloud, it covers way more cases than the one I was looking for, so I decided to use one that does just photo management, but I really appreciated the ease of use and the seamless installation of this software! I am sure, that once I’ll have an use case that Nextcloud offers, it will be my first stop! :)

Nachteile:

Not a con! But for me, it was a _bit_ too feature rich for my liking - I like tools that do one thing, and one thing only. Safely ignore my opinion, nextCloud team does a great job at developing this solution!

Managing Confidential Data with Nextcloud for a Small Business

Kommentare: We manage data that has RESIDENCY requirements. We cannot use public cloud companies for data storage. Nextcloud solves that problem for us: we use it for all of our client and company data, and we have high confidence in our ability to keep confidential data PRIVATE. We share our data with customers using Nextcloud 2FA and this just works so well. We use the Nextcloud apps to replace the privacy-mining apps that our standard Android phones otherwise steal from us. Nextcloud rocks!

Vorteile:

Robustness. It just WORKS, and it's layered approach to security (where you can add your own layers) gives it World Class security management for your data, if you go to the trouble of implementing it. Simple and intuitive for users and customers to navigate. Incredibly good file sharing capabilities, with 2FA so easy to implement you'd be crazy not to do it! File restore...for when things go wrong at the Users end. Ability to integrate third-party apps and services (Cryptomator, Mountain Duck, sftp file servers) to create a server so easy we WANT to use it (most are so hard to operate but require you to use it...making it less attractive and thus likely not used properly).

Nachteile:

Updates are too frequent and sometimes break things that were not broken. Update cycle needs to be a lot slower OR old versions need to be kept running for longer. The update cycle is the thing we fear the most. Sometimes I do so hate engineers. But in fairness, Nextcloud offer subscription options that buy more stability - they just don't offer such options that are attractive for small businesses (sorry guys). Never blindingly fast (but fast enough to not frustrate anyone). Native E2E encryption has not worked well for us, but arguably that makes it BETTER as we now add our own layer: we use CRYPTOMATOR instead as it's vastly superior to any other cloud encryption software.
