Aspire for Decision-Makers

Aspire allows me the opportunity to pull data, analysis it, present it in a meaningful way, and work with our teams for continuous improvement towards profitability.

Vorteile:

Aspire is a huge data-collection machine: it facilities quick, sound decision-making for your landscaping business.

Nachteile:

Aspire is not a simple, cheap software - it can be pricey. Aspire requires commitment from stakeholders from sales, purchasing, accounting and operations from the very beginning to ensure the best setup.

Ease of Use

Kommentare: Positive and continually improving. We are now 95% paper free and have eliminated a large percentage of manual tasks (recurring scheduling, invoice assistant, employee time tracking, route management, customer relationship management etc etc.)

Vorteile:

We made the transition from LMN to Aspire a year ago. The ticket management system allows us to seamlessly schedule and make quick operational changes from the start of an estimate to the receivable balance. There is less room for error in each department and a system that keeps our billing on track.

Nachteile:

Initial implementation - It took a lot of time to set up and train employees to use (customizing to our operations vs. Aspire implementation/help with setup) The cost was an investment and commitment.

I am not happy at all that there isn't an onsite implementing Manager/ person. Dedicated to us during that season up to launch.

Kommentare: Overall I am very satisfied with Aspire. It provides real time information, several options of approaches while stating what they consider is best practice, and abundant customer service resources. Aspire is constantly making updates based on client recommendations and trying to create streamlined paths.

Vorteile:

I love that Aspire provides real time information regarding jobs, pipeline, receivables status, and more. It gives us a much larger comprehensive picture of where we stand at any point so impactful decisions can be made.

Nachteile:

Initially is was a drastic difference from our previous manual method of tracking jobs. Aspire has seemingly limitless options for reports; however, it takes awhile to learn what is most helpful and how to best utilize your options within each module. Each module has different search features so it can be challenging to figure out how to run comparable reports from different angles.

Aspire is Impressive

Kommentare: Overall, where we are sitting now is good. It was a rough start with the initial trainer not participating in the training and then soon quit leaving us to be passed around but Aspire did an excellent job of assigning us an amazing person to get us through our journey. We are utilizing the software in so many helpful ways.

Vorteile:

This software has so many positive pieces to it that has improved the way we communicate within the company as well as complete jobs on site. It has allowed us to become more paperless in the field which is something so many of us have wanted. Invoicing and job costing has become more transparent.

Nachteile:

The accounting portion is lacking a bit. You have to be creative to get all the information you may need at times and I feel the training lacked in the accounting area. Always being told to watch the videos or attend the online training sessions. We have so many training sessions regarding all other areas of the software repeatedly but nothing formal for the accounting. I understand there may be a legal or responsibility reason for this but we were a bit left out of the loop on this.

Kommentare: Overall it has helped but the financial problems with us, them, the trining we received, whatever has me feling like a stepchild instead of one of the family. We pay a lot to have this; I want that problem fixed.

Vorteile:

The pros are definitely the connectability of everything in one place. I am able to do much more work in half the time. Implementing this has cut my office staff which really adds to the bottom line. I was able to see waste by implementing Aspire through labor over usage, overall operations, and office staff. This made me make changes to all of these areas which has really added to our bottom line profits.

Nachteile:

The financial section is very clunky. The journal entries or moving payroll over to quickbooks does not integrate easily. I would like to run on a Cash basis. This system is all accrual. I still have yet to be able to get accurate financials so I think my business is better but I can't gauge that yet. That to me is the most ridiculous and will have me leave Aspire if we can't get it fixed asap. I would rather have nothing then messed up financials.

Kommentare: It's been great. Honestly, the partnership with our CSMs (or CSMs interim) back to implementation and the support we get from everyone at Aspire is amazing. We value relationships here at PGI, but didn't realize we were buying more than just a software.

Vorteile:

Being able to have easy access to see how much money we are making or losing on jobs. This is important to be able to know if we are bidding correctly or not. The goal is to grow, not sink.

Nachteile:

Honestly, as more and more releases and updates are done, the system just keeps getting better and better.

IMPLEMENTATION AND USE OF ASPIRE

The overall customer, employee, and document management.

Nachteile:

It is initially complicated and cumbersome to implement. But the complexity of setup supports the broad spectrum of functions associated with ASPIRE. Pain upfront, glory in the rear.

Kommentare: Been amazing. The longer we use it the more profitable we become.

Vorteile:

Love that it has the ability to manage everything from the initial phone call to the entire management of the project and time tracking for the guys out in the field. Love that it sinks with Fleet sharp and tracks equipment hours. Love having everything on the cloud to access all information from anywhere I have wifi. Love the ease in scheduling projects and love seeing the progress on the job. The list goes on and on. I love that the basis to the system to create and manage jobs is based on labor, equipment and materials. I love to adjust the complexity of the job for reasons such as drivetime, custom projects, and difficult clients, etc... Aspire protects our margins so that we capture great margins on small and large projects alike.

Nachteile:

I don't have many cons, but the most difficult thing just comes down to using it daily. It is a powerful system with many, many tools. The learning curve is a bit taxing before you learn how really to make the program work for your liking. I wish that editing and changing layout was easier and that having the ability to do so personally didn't require another level of extended training. I wish it were more intuitive and easier to navigate so that any aspire user listed as an administrator could jump on and work on it. I wish you could have different brand names for different branches without showing all the names or choosing one as the main.

Good Commercial Landscaping Software Option

Kommentare: We have an Aspire rep assigned to keep track of our needs.Aspire Care, the Support side of Aspire, is responsive and there are many webinars offered to help companies work through any issues or learning gaps with Aspire.Aspire is a fairly detailed CRM so it takes a while for everyone to get on board with some processes, but once they do it seems everyone is happy with the functionality and amount of reporting available.

Vorteile:

Being able to add custom formulas to reports (lists) created in Aspire.Detailed quotes that look professional.Managing contacts of a property.SiteOne integration works well for us since they are our primary vendor for Irrigation inventory.Easy inventory pricing tool to quickly update prices.Easy to move jobs on the schedule and schedule for multiple days or as a series for repeated jobs.Since their acquisition by Service Titan development has really ramped up.

Nachteile:

Job Management is good until a change order is made. The best option is recreating the quote.Cost of software is based on your revenue not the amount of customers, so price doesn't really equal the amount of use if you just have a small number of large revenue customers.Too many functions. Sometimes if you don't use them all it skews reporting.

Kommentare: Overall its very good and would recommend to anyone. Our CSM is great and has been a guiding light for the last year or so. [sensitive content hidden] has been great for us and has really kept us in and not completely losing our faith in aspire. We see light at the end of the tunnel with the transition to earn rev and everything else is good. In the end you get out of the system what you put in, so we have a lot of ownership.

Vorteile:

I like that it has a very robust base to what you can do and how you can do it. I think aspire has done it's best to create a system that can be be used by many companies. WE are all in landscaping but we realy run things differently and want a system that allows us to do it "our way"

Nachteile:

-The issue base system is gutting better, but at one time that was a con for me. -The speed in that knew issues are resoled.- we recently moved from inv to earn rev. That was a big problem for us and i dont believe that aspire had a good way or a thought out process to get us trained and move us to earn rev.-Need a more CRM sales base function to aspire. I know its coming but not fast enough. -

Easy for the day to day user.

Vorteile:

Aspire requires "power" users to understand and fully implement the system for the team. If has a lot of possibility and getting it to all work for you or modifying your processes to fir with Aspire take real time and effort. But for the average user who is putting this to work on a day to day basis the software is fairly easy to use.

Nachteile:

Aspire's greatest weakness is the client facing side. The lack of easily changeable email templates is really a disappointing part of the software and certainly an area that they need to work on.

First Generation User- Aspire Has Evolved into an Industry Game Changer

Kommentare: Aspire has enabled our company to eliminate overhead positions from time keeping to estimating. Operations team can track efficiency in real time and sales team can estimate quickly.

Vorteile:

Ease of use from updating pricing structure to getting real time P&L information at the push of a button

Nachteile:

Running Sales Reports and Portfolio Reoccurring Reports can be challenging at times selecting correct criteria etc.

Aspire is great, but the support team needs more support!

Kommentare: Aspire is an awesome product, but you need to figure out why the support team is lacking so much. I suppose most people dont know, since you need admin access to contact them. At least figure out why bulk uploads are slower than manual uploads, and remove the "request zoom call" option if no one will honor it. It just looks bad. Why cant there just be a "Bulk Upload" option usable by admins in the web application instead of going through support?

Vorteile:

It is the future of landscaping!

Nachteile:

The support team is very slow, often replies in incomplete or gramatically incorrect scentences which makes it very hard to receive any instructions. At least get the support team the "Grammarly" app. And not once has the "request zoom call" option ever been honored. It also takes 2 weeks to start a bulk import (they have to escalate it), and then another 2 weeks for them to tell me its been done. The bulk upload is also very limited in what can be updated. In every case, it was actually quicker to do everything by hand instead of waiting for support. It's as if the support team is actually doing those "bulk uploads" by hand....

A great upgrade for a growing company

Kommentare: There was initially a giant learning curve with how the system works but 3 years in, I feel confident using the aspects that pertain to my role day to day. One thing I enjoy is that there constantly seems to be a new way or different approach to gathering and utilizing information on the platform.

Vorteile:

I appreciate the readily accessible information pertaining to all portions of the workflow. Being able to estimate, win, and schedule for upcoming work on one platform has been an absolute game changer for the way we do business.

Nachteile:

The mobile interface, especially the app could use some work. The latest version of aspire mobile is a great step in the right direction but is still missing components that are important. The ability to access overhead tickets has been a an issue that we would greatly like resolved.
