Simplified Landscaping Review

Kommentare: Aspire, while quite expensive has proven save us and increase revenue quite a bit. We have lost a lot of revenue in the past by not staying organized with billing and tracking time and materials to jobs better. It has easily paid for itself and then some and made my life a lot less complicated to manage.

Vorteile:

Contractors think in labor, equipment, and materials in order to create an estimate. It was the only product on the market that I found that really honed in on those three areas and made it simple before getting more complex.

Nachteile:

With any software comes a big learning curve. While Aspire couldn't have done a better job to deploy the software, I wish we had easier control over setting up estimate and invoice layouts. I also think the mobile app could have some more versatility added to it. Lastly if they had a better client notification side that would be helpful.

The Best Landscaping Production Software

Kommentare: Aspire has exceeded all our expectations and provides us with the real time knowledge of how we are performing as a company. Aspire is not a static software, they are always looking for new and better ways for the software to handle information and changes in the industry.

Vorteile:

Aspire has organized our production information so everyone can find what they need instantly and be sure that it is current applicable information. Aspire has streamlined our invoicing, which in turn has improved our cash flow. Before Aspire I was given invoicing at the end of the month for all the projects completed during the month. Since going live on Aspire, invoices are sent as soon as tickets are completed. Aspire also streamlined our payroll process, what used to take hours in our old software, now takes minutes. Aspire also got us running on a PO system for purchases, we had tried before but we didn't succeed. Once we started on Aspire, we were able to finally get some controls on our purchasing.

Nachteile:

The most challenges I have had are with customers wanting something special done to their invoices that can't be done within the system. However, I am able to print an editable version and send them what they want.

Kommentare: Overall i think Aspire is a good fit for our application. i think it provides a good system for job estimating and job costing.

Vorteile:

The aspire software offers a lot of solutions we needed for our business. The fact that the billing ties to QB is invaluable in my opinion. The PO system has saved us hundreds of thousands in unauthorized / or incorrect billing. Deployment was a nightmare at first, we definitely didn't make it easy on our consultant, but he also did a pool job of guiding us in the correct direction. We had a change in consultants about half way through and she got us back on track.

Nachteile:

There are small issues that are annoying... when you email a PO to a vendor it doesn't save a record on the opportunity or work ticket it's associated with, also it doesn't recall any email addresses, so you have to type in address every time. super waste of time. in the scheduler i sometimes have issues finding the work tickets i want to schedule (not sure if that's user error) Often times a work ticket will report committed costs against purchase receipts that have been received and approved making EOM procedures difficult, especially if the purchase receipt was approved ina closed month. I don't thnk the payroll function works for us... (not certain bc i don't do payroll)

Better, Faster, Stronger

Kommentare: Our experience has been a very positive one. Customer support during implementation was very good. Ongoing support for users is excellent with very fast response times and knowledgeable representatives. Aspire is constantly making improvements to the system based on user recommendations and so far, each new version release has improved our user experience.

Vorteile:

Intuitive user interface. Logical data query format makes finding granular data very easy. Reports are easily customized and shared with other users. Customer support during implementation was very good. Ongoing support for users is excellent with very fast response times and knowledgeable representatives.

Nachteile:

Initial concern was pricing. Aspire appears expensive when compared to similar systems but it actually saves our organization money through better management of the sales and production process, resulting in better gross margin and revenue per employee.

Aspire Financial Area

Kommentare: Overall it has helped but the financial problems with us, them, the trining we received, whatever has me feling like a stepchild instead of one of the family. We pay a lot to have this; I want that problem fixed.

Vorteile:

The pros are definitely the connectability of everything in one place. I am able to do much more work in half the time. Implementing this has cut my office staff which really adds to the bottom line. I was able to see waste by implementing Aspire through labor over usage, overall operations, and office staff. This made me make changes to all of these areas which has really added to our bottom line profits.

Nachteile:

The financial section is very clunky. The journal entries or moving payroll over to quickbooks does not integrate easily. I would like to run on a Cash basis. This system is all accrual. I still have yet to be able to get accurate financials so I think my business is better but I can't gauge that yet. That to me is the most ridiculous and will have me leave Aspire if we can't get it fixed asap. I would rather have nothing then messed up financials.

Kommentare: After some trial and error, my overall experience with Aspire is good. I enjoy the fact that they are constantly improving and interested to hear what their customers would like to see.

Vorteile:

I like the fact that everything is easily accessible and user friendly. They are also always improving the software to meet the needs of their clients. I believe once you learn the system, it is a really good software to use for our industry.

Nachteile:

We went from one software to this software and it was extremely difficult to transition. We had many trials and errors within our first year in how to properly manage within the software in order to correctly reflect what are costs were and what we were earning.

Terminology is different than I am use to. Finding logical direction to navigate is off to me. I haven’t learned the muscle memory yet to do things quickly. I have to ask often.

Vorteile:

Real-time reporting on estimated vs actual hours on maintenance and construction projects.

Nachteile:

App has some challenges loading in some locations, would be great to have estimates converted to Word as an option.

Great Landscaping Software

Kommentare: Great customer care. They are always updating and listening to their clients. They are responsive and are always available to help. This software will be the go to in the future of landscaping companies.

Vorteile:

The ease of use is great. We can train a new production worker in less than a day to be able to perform their daily tasks. New management can step right in and understand the basics within a week and takes them about a month to be able to function effectively in the program. Scheduling crews is great. Recurring work is easy to schedule for the year and the drag and drop is a great function. The software helps you not miss easy to miss work orders and invoicing. Reports are easy to pull up and be able to share with other team members. The ability to be able to work wherever we are. If we are out of town on a business trip we can still operate our normal jobs if needed.

Nachteile:

Certain scheduling aspects would be nice to be able to duplicate with the click of a button. Ex: Scheduling out turf cares would be nice to be able to do this. Set the first round and then say schedule the remaining turf rounds in the same exact order.

Excellent Tool For Green Industry

Kommentare: Can't say enough good things. Aspire is a great product to operate a landscape and/or snow removal business on. They pride themselves is providing a great product and have a top flight customer service in supporting their users. They are a great company and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a ERP for their business.

Vorteile:

Aspire is a fantastic tool for our industry. It is built with the user in mind. It is pretty intuitive at all levels from the mobile to high level reports. It is easy to use and is constantly getting better. Aspire gives me the ability to collect data is as real time as possible and return usable business intelligence allowing for the type of adjustments that need to be made to be successful in today's marketplace.

Nachteile:

My only issue is the difficulty we have had in getting Aspire to work with another tool that is instrumental to our business. They are working on integrations but pick their own partners and then tell us which other tools they will work with. Aspire has generally picked great companies to partner with but there is one out there that they have resisted and it is has been a barrier to Aspire being a holistic solution to running our business.

Don't Get Mad, Get Data

Kommentare: I love Aspire and would highly recommend it to anyone in the landscaping business; however, it's especially a great tool for scalable, profitable growth.

Vorteile:

I love that the Aspire team operates in "Continuous Improvement" mode: they are always working to create a better product for the industry. Additionally, this software provides the platform to capture so much data that can then be used to help our company manage scalable, profitable growth.

Nachteile:

Understanding the software was created for a specific industry, my least favorite aspect of Aspire is that a lot of accounting-type functions are either not great or missing altogether. Inventory specific reports are somewhat lacking; there's not an easy way to put accounts on "credit hold" until clients bring their account current; etc.

Vorteile:

I can open Aspire and create a Proposal, print and or email it out to a client within 5 minutes, Really only took me the time to type the verbiage out. It was very easy to learn my way around and I love it.

Nachteile:

I have to copy and print out each proposal and past it into the invoice section, so our managers can see what each invoice is for.

Vorteile:

All inclusive! Constant improvement. A someone able to help with every aspect of your busiest as.

Nachteile:

Somewhat obvious functions that would increase productivity are not in place, it is like they have thought of all of the really complicated stuff but some of the simple things are too complicated. Example - geo mapping / routing properties on daily routes based on their location/ efficiently or the ability to print multiple opportunities into one pdf. Aspire care is great, but it would be nice to have one single person be devoted to learning our processes and being available for consultation.

Aspire has streamlined many facets of our landscape contracting business into one software.

Vorteile:

Aspire has eliminated double entry of many items throughout the process of landscape contracting. The software has provided our company the ability to have real time access to information in a way we never had before. Like many landscape companies, we had been operating on several spreadsheet documents to operate our business. The move to Aspire allowed us to have all our information in one place that is readily available anywhere that we have an internet connection. The Aspire team is very responsive any time we have a problem or concern. Aspire was the step we needed to take in order to keep scaling our business and to get to the next level.

Nachteile:

As with all software, there are bugs that pop up that can be frustrating at times. The software was originally designed for landscape maintenance, therefore sometimes we have to come up with creative ways to handle things for our landscape construction part of the business (though Aspire is working on solutions for many of these instances now).

Best grounds management software in existence; no one else is close

Kommentare: Reliable information for business management, ability to track activity and effectiveness of employees in all departments

Vorteile:

It provides all the necessary job costing information necessary to run our organization properly. Great customer service and excellent commitment to regular updates and improvements.

Nachteile:

There are still some improvements I'd like to see (permissions, pivot table functions), but I know they'll come along eventually. Really, no major complaints or frustrations.

Vorteile:

Job management and bidding. Bidding jobs are fast and easy once you are set up. Having all your account information stored on the cloud in one spot makes managing the job simpler.

Nachteile:

When posting materials to a ticket the drop down menu has issues. Sometime the material or the drop box opens on the bottom of the screen where you can't see it. Also when posting material to inventory its puts it for some reason in the wrong inventory account.

We Love Aspire

Kommentare: The level of support and assistance we’ve received has been exceptional. Our deployment schedule was aggressive, and most of our challenges at this point relate to gaps in training (or lack of retention).

Vorteile:

The visibility it creates.l for branch management and it’s integrated features (qualified lead to estimating, estimating to tickets, tickets to scheduling & purchasing, and invoicing...)

Nachteile:

Inability to put system controls in place to minimize mistakes, particularly related to mishandling tickets and selecting services within an estimate tied to the wrong division.

Kommentare: Better job costing data and the ability to track work orders which will hopefully eliminate missed Billings!

Vorteile:

The team and the fact that the company is constantly innovating. The software has much of the necessary functionality for all sized Landscaping companies. The company has also been very flexible to meet our unique needs.

Nachteile:

How hard it can be to change some of the data once it has been created and lack of API development to make it easy to link to all accounting packages.

Difficulty with reading some of the reports. (Pivot tables). This is more a leaning issue

Aspire is the most well thought out software I have ever brought on board.

Kommentare: We have researched many CRM/estimating/presentation/scheduling/routing/cost accounting software packages over the past 10 years. I nearly launched one two years ago and pulled out at the 11th hour due to shortcomings. Aspire has the answers to our questions because they have done their homework on every aspect of the challenges we face as an industry. The Aspire team works well together and has our success as the primary goal with every conference call and visit.

Vorteile:

Web based software for mobile devices and laptops. All customer related information can be attached to the specific job and the data is entered once and access throughout the process of estimating to producing to invoicing.

Nachteile:

I have yet to find any pitfalls in Aspire.
