Kommentare: NAKIVO helped me in the event of a host failure as well as damage to the virtual machines. In these cases, a previously prepared backup helped.

Vorteile:

The most important thing is the reliability of this tool. It has saved me several times in my work.

Nachteile:

I don't see any disadvantages of NAKIVO. For me it would be easier to have backups in the form of easily transferable files than a complicated repository, but of course I appreciate functionality and reliability above all.

Nakivo

Vorteile:

I use Nakivo to backup AWS istances from a region to another and works very well. It is easy to use and configure.

Nachteile:

Enable the possibility to restore guest file from a replicated istances to restore file deleted or damage

NAKIVo review

Kommentare: Our overall experience is pretty good especially when it comes to support as the support team is very helpfull and fast when you have an issue or question.

Vorteile:

We use Nakivo to back up our VPS servers and NAS devices. The UI and features are quite satisfactory with several expansion possibilities. We liked the new MSP feature where you can give specific access to users for specific machines.

Nachteile:

There are features that we would like to be integrated such as the ability to exclude directories, the creation of an image for bare metal restore as well as the creation of Plesk integration to use Nakivo as a Plesk backup tool.

Nakivo Backup Works!

Kommentare: Overall it's been great. I set everythign up becuase I needed to get backups going. My account manager set up a meeting with an engineer and we went over what I did. He had a couple of helpful suggestions.

Vorteile:

Ease of integration, interface and job setup. Backup copy jobs were very simple to setup and take the options from the backup job. Customer support has been great when I did have a question. My account manager has been very attentive.

Nachteile:

Can't think of anyting right now. Still need to look at the reporting.

Nakivo: A Solution for Everyone

Kommentare: I have deployed the solution in the data center environment, managing both virtual machines and physical servers. Local backups have been implemented, and tasks that were previously done manually are now automated, increasing the productivity of the IT team, as they can focus on other tasks while the tool handles the backups. Additionally, the solution has been configured for database backups, which used to be a major headache for the database administrators, especially when databases were damaged. Now, with both full and incremental backups, the response time for data recovery has been significantly reduced. The experience has been excellent.

Vorteile:

Nakivo is a fast and efficient backup tool, but what I find most noteworthy is its granular backup capability, allowing for the backup of individual files

Nachteile:

Many people believe that due to its excellent price, it doesn't deliver on all the promised features. They couldn't be more wrong. It's an excellent solution.

Great Product

Kommentare: Highly recommend. Easy setup and configuration.

Vorteile:

Ability to do cloud backups, with different providers. The product is dependable with all the features of much more expensive products. Support is excellent.

Nachteile:

For big environments, don't like the snapshot method of doing backups, but for medium/small customer it is an excellent fit.

The best Support and configuration tools

From all the Backup sollutions that i tryed or searched, Nakivo was the best all around software in the market. Good prices, outstanding support, easy and secure configurations, and a very intuitive plataform. Easy choice for me

Nachteile:

Until now, no dislikes to report. Just waiting until the release of the Proxmox Backup.

Simple secure and reliable

Vorteile:

The quick overview dashboard is great for snap shot overview of the backup system, I really like that the issue are listed on the homepage and have good kb to help fix them

Nachteile:

Please please we need Google workspace mailbox and Google drive backups to be supported by Nakivo.

Tape Backup

Kommentare: Nakivo allowed us to perform monthly tape backups to protect our data offline, the solution provided is practically automated.

Vorteile:

Among the advantages of millet nakivo I can certainly confirm: Simplicity of the product integration with systems super efficient support team.

Nachteile:

We have been using Nakivo for some time now and have never had any problems or critical issues. Technical support has always satisfied us with every request.

Kommentare: From sales to support, the attention has been top-notch. Very attentive and quick to respond with quotes and resolutions. The application performance has exceeded our previous backup systems.

Vorteile:

Rapid deployment: We use Synology NAS devices for backups. The ability to deploy the app directly on the NAS itself was a big win for us. We reduced the load on our hypervisors and have everything needed for recovery on one device.

Nachteile:

A web UI refresh would be nice but that is just a matter of personal preference. A mobile app would be great.

Great support and always new features being added that I need

Kommentare: We got tired of the massive cost of renewals from our past backup software providers and decided to try Nakivo instead. They supported our need for Nutanix AHV, QNAP and Tape backups. I'm looking forward to trying the new PostgreSQL database option soon so that I can build my own reports.
Nakivo gets the job done and gets better with each version.

Vorteile:

- We really like being able to create a backup copy from our Windows Backup server to a QNAP NAS for immutable backups over our WAN to another site. - Synthetic full backups make daily backups fast. - I like how fast I can restore a VM to Hyper-V, even if the backup was from Nutanix, and even if the backup storage is on my QNAP NAS.

Nachteile:

- SQL Backups on Nutanix do not support hourly log backups like they do on Hyper-V, so we worked around that with an inexpensive tool called "SQL Backup Master". - No support for Microsoft SQL Server yet

It's easy to deploy, easy to setup. It works 100% it's reliable and easy to work with. the front end dashboard is easy to navigate and there is nothing complicated about the software at all. strait forward.

Nachteile:

Too many updates, but that probably the way they keep their software easy to use.

The best choice

Vorteile:

This software is easy to setup and use. The price is competitive and can be afforded also in very little company or offices (SOHO) assuring security at low cost. The availability of the transporter module with most of NAS system (also SOHO) let the company work also with low cost devices. The option to have a flash VM boot reduces the RTO and the forever incremental backups (very fast) reduces the RPO.

Nachteile:

No availability for Citrix XEN and a full screen interface (the calendar would be more readable).

Simple and working tool for VMware backups

Kommentare: Nice approach for VMware backups with everything working from NAS device and no need to install any agents to servers. Working management with simple GUI using browser.

Vorteile:

No need to install agents to servers. Lightweight solution built over linux. Can be fully run from NAS device

Nachteile:

I think this product does just what it is supposed and promised to do.

NAKIVO is a great all round solution that won't break the bank

Kommentare: Excellent overall experience. The Pro's far outweight the Cons. Especially as all of the Cons were related to my understanding and techincal proficiency with Linux. We migrated to NAKIVO from VEEAM and are glad we did. Overall it's easier to use than VEEAM

Vorteile:

It's a low cost highly efficient backup of our VM server environment with file and disaster recovery. NAKIVO tech support is also excellent should you run into issues. As in they're fast to respond and their techs are highly efficient. In addition the later versions have a much more logical and intuitive GUI

Nachteile:

Did have some issues getting my head around how to deploy it with their "Transporters". And I needed tech support to add a Linux based NAS as the repository. However in fairness, I'm not very good with Linux administration.

Easy to use, full-featured cost effective backup solution

Kommentare: Nakivo is one of the rare software providers that is dedicated to improving their products by actively reaching out to customers to listen to their suggestions and implement them in future versions.

Vorteile:

The availability of friendly and helpful support staff. Along with the versatility of the software in virtual and "bare-metal" environments, what gives me the most peace of mind is that I know I can always rely on a support team to help me when there are problems I cannot solve just by consulting the help pages.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the documentation is not very clear to me - but again, support was always ready to step in and help when I couldn't make sense of the knowledge base. One addition I would like to see is to be able to encrypt data before it reaches a public cloud repository. This is unfortunately only possible in a few situations, and generic object storage is not among them.

Nakivo - Good Value, Easy to Install, Setup, and Use

Vorteile:

Easy to demo product before purchase. Easy to setup and use. Graphical Dashboard is clear and easy to understand.

Nachteile:

Real Time Hyper-V replication would be a nice addition.

Reliable Backup Solution

Kommentare: Nakivo platform is one stop shop for all of our backup and DR needs.

Vorteile:

Over the course of 3 years Nakivo proved to be an excellent choice for our backup and disaster recovery needs. After the initial setup the interface was very easy to use, had a logical layout and order of steps when performing various activities. Level of integration with major hypervisors is great. Network acceleration helps a lot when performing backups over slower WAN links. Multi-tenant platform in combination with per VM licensing model presents great sales opportunity for service providers offering DR solutions.

Nachteile:

Introduction of support for the latest releases of hypervisors takes too long.

Flexible, easy to deploy and affordable.

Kommentare: I use Nakivo in the 95% of my customers. It's an excellent software.

Vorteile:

Nakivo is an amazing software, flexible and easy to deploy. We use it in a lot of our customers IT infrastructures. The price is affordable for features in a virtual environment. The linux-based environment for the server and the transporters grant availability, efficiency and cost reduction.

Nachteile:

Lack of some features, like surebackup with services check. The ETA is not accurate as well as the progress bar. Also the log and history can be improved.

Nakivo, easy and useful

Undoubtedly, the most remarkable thing is that being extremely simple to use, it more than covers all the needs of a company to ensure the continuity of its information systems. In addition, the ability to integrate with the most common database solutions makes it essential.

Nachteile:

It is extremely easy, covering all the needs of the company in terms, backup & replication for business continuity

Good and intuitive procduct

Kommentare: We are using Nakivo B&R for our new server with quite a number of virtual machines (VM Ware). Backup of data is onto a Synology via 10GB/s. The backup makes use of all available network speed.
Once you understand how it works, its configuration is straight forward. Whenever we experienced some issues, Nakivo Service was very helpful (GoTo meeting) and pretty fast (next day at the latest). So far no complaints on their repsonse.

Vorteile:

Quite intuitive. Comparably fast backup. Price / performance value is good. Good service.

Nachteile:

USB rotation (to external harddrives) definitely needs improvement. Licensing scheme is a bit hard to understand at first glance ... but their sales will help you ;-) A little bit of too aggressive marketing (less would be better).

Small Insurance Broker users NAKIVO 9.0.0

Kommentare: We are a small privately owned insurance broker company and store our sensitive customer data in our own databases in our small WMWare server farm, which we operate on a physical standalone server. We operate 5 virtual machines, primarily a Windows Server 2016 Essentials domain controller including a file server, a Microsoft SQL server, an Ubuntu server and also two virtual Windows 10 PCs. We back up the virtual machines to a local Synology NAS using NAKIVO version 9.0.0. We save a NAKIVO backup copy to an external repository, which we temporarily integrate into the network. Once the data has been backed up, we store the external repository outside for disaster recovery reasons. Recovery tests were carried out successfully in a test environment.
