Vorteile:

Easy drag-drop and play! We use this from time to time to make informational content, video installation, and drip marketing materials for customers. Hundreds of templates to choose from, applicable to almost every platform we use.

Nachteile:

Can be time-consuming if you don't have edited material to upload into this software, blocking out sound adding audio, etc.

Which for a greater library of videos to use on videos.

Terrible experience

Kommentare: I tried to use Animoto to create a memorial service video. The experience was terrible, hard to navigate, and I couldn't produce anything useable, so quickly I asked for a refund and was denied, only told what I paid $180 could be applied to a future year.

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

Scam: They take your money and no refund or cancellation, only apply what you've paid to a future year - will never use again!

Branding Made Easy!

Kommentare: It enables users to upgrade their branding with ease. Almost anyone can create contents with it. I loved the user friendly interface. Ideal for small businesses. One of the best options available. A powerful tool but it certainly needs to add more features.

Vorteile:

It is very user friendly. Almost anyone can create amazing video content with it. The large template library makes it even easier for users. Creating videos takes a very little time and adding effects, transitions and text overlay is relatively very simple.

Nachteile:

The templates can sometimes be very restrictive. If a user has a proper idea about how the video should be then it is not for him.

Perfect videos

Vorteile:

Animoto is easy to use and can be successfully integrated into various school and extracurricular activities.

Nachteile:

Animoto does not present aspects that make its use difficult.

Very Basic Video Editing/Animation

Kommentare: If I had known how dated the templates would look at the lack of functionality and customization, I wouldn't have bothered testing it out.

Vorteile:

Animoto provides an easy to use platform to upload your videos and edit them together using various templates they have. The platform is very user-friendly and they have a decent amount of templates and animations to choose from.

Nachteile:

The overall app seems a bit expensive for what you get. The templates themselves appear very dated and there isn't a ton of flexibility with the templates. You kind of get what you see. I wasn't very impressed when comparing this to other tools like Promo.com

Take care with the auto-renewal!

Kommentare: The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away. You may struggle to get a refund after the auto renewal has gone through. So be careful.

Vorteile:

It works for what it is designed for. I used it a couple of times in 12 months to put together slideshow previews of photoshoots for clients. You can add music and it's not difficult to use. They have lots of YouTube videos on how to use it.

Nachteile:

The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away. Initially, they refused to give a refund after my auto-renewal had gone through. However, I wrote another polite email pointing out that the option to turn this off was not easy to find. They gave me 50% of my new one year subscription back. Not great, but better than nothing and lesson learned about auto-renewals. Interestingly, there is a Government review going on in the UK about subscription auto-renewals and it will (hopefully!) result in companies having to give you notice before a subscription auto-renews

Difficult program

Kommentare: Did not find the program as easy to use as others. Cost is way too high especially when they require a full year's payment up front to use. Poor customer service

Vorteile:

Very little. Would not recommend this product over the many others out there. No way to do a free trial without having their watermark all over your project.

Nachteile:

Forced to pay a yearly subscription. Difficult to use. No tutorials. No refund or partial charge when dissatisfied with service. Poor customer service. Would not respond back after I confronted them over fees.

Unauthorized Transaction

Kommentare: BAD BUSINESS they need to be SHUT DOWN and REFUND people back

Vorteile:

Great templates to use for slide shows. But to be honest the PRICE is way to HIGH.

Nachteile:

I had an Unauthorized Transaction of $180 and I had a dispute on PayPal and Animoto decides to not give me my MONEY BACK and Suspends my Animoto account so I don't have access to anything I tried reaching out and no RESPONSE.

FRAUD/SCAM

Kommentare: My wife signed up to make a funeral slideshow as she was grieving the loss of a grandparent. She signed up for what was advertised as a monthly 15 dollar a month cancel any time membership. Was fraudulently charged 180 for a recurring annual membership, immediately contacted company via email to rectify and they said too bad so sad! No number to call even. Don’t recommend, poor customer service.

Vorteile:

Nothing about this that I would recommend.

Nachteile:

Poor customer service, deceptive billing.

A great tool that enables us to produce amazing videos with simple steps.

Kommentare: Animoto provides us with great services that help us prepare amazing presentations. It also helped us a lot in producing videos for our marketing campaigns without the need to hire specialists.

Vorteile:

Animoto does not require much experience, as we can create great videos with just a few simple steps. The options for preparing content and editing the video are very easy, and the inclusion of slides within the video to prepare and format presentations, including texts, images and diagrams is very easy, also we can easily add music to the presentation, which I greatly appreciate. In addition, Animoto provides a lot of ready-made templates, which we can handle easily, so that we can produce video and format texts as required. It is also good that the videos that are produced by Animoto can be easily shared and published on social media platforms.

Nachteile:

Animoto is easy to use and almost flawless, and we can use it for free, and at an affordable price we can take advantage of all the tools.

Look like a video pro

Kommentare: I was up and running the very first time I tried the app. I created a great 30 sec video for our Facebook page which generated over 26K views. The video looked great, and was so easy to make. Animoto is a great resource for anyone who wants to make professional looking videos in flash!

Vorteile:

The ease of creating high quality videos extremely fast without using complicated video editing software. Animoto provides a variety of templates that can easily be adapted. You can change fonts and basic color themes, and in the paid version, upload your logo to brand all your videos. I didn't have a lot of videos on hand, but I did have lots of still images. With Animoto, all I had to do was upload photos and place in suggested frames within a theme. I could move things around, sync with music and export the movie in a variety of formats. All very simple.

Nachteile:

I don't have complete control! I can't make some minor adjustments. Example: text can be places in one of several "zones" within a frame. It's not possible to move the text a nudge! Although there are lots of templates, I wish there were more! Sometimes I need a hybrid type of video...in between "memories" and "marketing."

We create custom videos that are more than a simple slideshow, and our clients love them

Kommentare: Using this to deliver slideshow videos to clients for a photo studio.

Vorteile:

The templates are my favorite part of this software, by far. These include short clips of video, which make a slideshow that would otherwise be just a collection of photos set to music, a much more interactive piece of content that our clients love sharing on social media and with their friends. I love how easy it is to add photos, pace them, decide whether they'll be automatically ordered and paced or if I want specific timeframes, etc. I also think the music that comes with this is very nice and it almost always fits our galleries' themes.

Nachteile:

Though the templates are the whole point (and, again, one of my favorite aspects of this solution) I would also like to be able to produce the regular kind of slideshow, which I now have to go to other software such as iMovie to make. I have found that adding a solid block of text is not as easy as it maybe could be, and I also have to do it separately. Other than that, no complaints!

Nachteile:

Not enough templates for the price. Price is too high for what's offered

Excellent Video Slideshow Creations for Small Business Owners

Kommentare: It has allowed me to quickly create video content for my clients that I would never have had the time to conceptualize previously.

Vorteile:

Compile my clients event photos into a quick 3-4 minute video segment that I can send to them after they pay their final invoice.

Nachteile:

I do not like the new pricing structures within the past couple years. It used to be a non-tiered plan and now it has three tiers with the lowest tier only offering 720 video, which is kind of a deal breaker for most. The next step up is nearly six times the cost of the lowest tier, which makes it not the most affordable for those that don't create more than a video a week.

Could Be Better

Kommentare: I have used other slideshow building softwares and they are not as easy to use or have the quantity of music options, but overall it's expensive. I don't feel the value is worth it but also, the ability to quickly throw something together is nce.

Vorteile:

The quick ability to add images, text, and deliver a final production. The full, high resolution production as well as other size availabilities.

Nachteile:

It's incredibly expensive for a monthly plan and then the options in the templates do not allow for customization. Some of the templates are corny or old fashion and the ones that are not overly plain. Some do not allow for image adjustments from portrait to landscape. Overall, it could be revised with template options for the cost.

Time Saver!!!

Vorteile:

Our company would make a lot of videos with minor changes in AfterEffects. We decided to check out a software that saves more time. This completely changed the way we do our digital marketing. Extremely easy to use, greate templates, and awesome videos! If you are wanting to have a lot of control on how your videos look, this might not be for you. If you are trying to get a nice video done that looks like it took you an hour, this is for you!

Nachteile:

Sometimes photos will look blurry and some slides will look glitchy, even after looking over the quality of the photos. I wish there was more options to customize the smaller details, but for the money and the time saved its totally worth it!

Unethical Company, below average product

Vorteile:

Nothing really. Its a very basic video editor

Nachteile:

It is a highly unethical company that has an auto-renew feature and no refund policy, even within 24 hours of the coerced renewal.

Kommentare: This online creator is packed with value. I have used this in my classes and photography to create professional, artistic presentations that really inspire your audience. The paid version is worth it if your business depends on that extra spark that engages audiences and customers.

Vorteile:

Animoto's slideshow creator is great for automation and time saving. It allows for highly customizable slideshow presentations that look like a professional media company did them for thousands of dollars! Easy to use features that allows the users to upload and choose their own transitions and music.

Nachteile:

The paid version offers more features with a music library and more quality transitions and no watermarks.

Best starter video creation tool going

Kommentare: Animoto has remained a basic tool in my video software arsenal. I know what I can accomplish quite quickly with it, so I can identify and schedule certain projects for completion in a short amount of time.

Vorteile:

The best thing about Animoto is the ease of use for anyone, not just video editors, to create professional-looking videos. Easy-to-use means that you'll create more content in less time which is half the battle in content creation.

Nachteile:

There are limitations to what can be customized in this video software, but it still covers all the basics pretty well.

Unresponsive customer support, not honest or ethical

Amazing video making product, helps us create good content at a great speed

Vorteile:

Animoto makes the process of building amazing presentation and videos easy. We create a lot of videos for our social media campaigns and with the help of animoto the process is super simple and fast. Lots of fonts, music/soundtracks, colors, styling etc are the major points that keeps us on the platform.

Nachteile:

No cons as such, but they put a very big watermark even during the trail period. Apart from that i just love this product.

Animoto- Like nothing I've seen before

Vorteile:

I like to think of Animoto as a “fun” presentation platform. Their software makes if super easy to create great looking videos. Because it is cloud based, I found it super easy to start on my laptop and pick up on my iPad.

Nachteile:

While Animoto provides plenty of unique themes, all the finished product ends up looking kind of the same. Everything look great, but unlike a slideshow there is no granular control over transitions and small details.

Secret weapon

Kommentare: Overall, I found that once I had a bank of 'ideas' I was able to quickly put together fun videos that servce a variety of purposes. Highly recommend!

Vorteile:

I have found so many uses for Animoto. It's great for employee recognition, student graduation, entertaining videos to use in employee trainings and also for use in classroom instruction.

Nachteile:

I can't really think of any negatives. There is always a learning curve with a new software/program, but Animoto is intuitive and has great support and self-serve trainings.
