Simple & effective product analytics tool
Kommentare: Overall, I'm pretty happy with the product. Since we had just launched the product in the market, we were not expecting too much from the analytics perspective. We were just looking for basic cohorts, funnels and customer-wise events data across different channels. All these can be solved via Mixpanel and the price point is definitely attractive. We also applied via startup program which saved us 1 yr fees as well.
Vorteile:
I always liked the simplicity of Mixpanel and the level of support & document available to make the entire integration fast & smooth. The feature of Funnels is very good and it definitely gives the ability to understand a lot of data points.
Nachteile:
Customer segmentation and the ability to slice & dice the cohorts data is something that can be improved for sure.

Data tool for more established companies
Kommentare: When working Mixpanel is fantastic. It can help companies see their acquisition, activation, retention, revenue and referral. But I think the product is primarily for more mature companies that have used queries and excel sheets in the beginning to make their initial KPI's. Don't use this from the get go as a startup. But use once you know exactly what you want to track, and get somebody on your team to be the super user of Mixpanel (data scientist) and do the same on the development team.
Vorteile:
Mixpanel can tell you a lot of things about your users. Especially the Signal feature is great – we've used it as a guideline instead of having a full time data scientist. You can also follow different cohorts of users and create funnels to see where these users fall of or not.
Nachteile:
The dashboard function is not great. Besides that the system is pretty complex, so you really need to dive deep into the tutorials to understand how to use it.

Kommentare: The experience has been great. Although, I requested a refund once and it took a while.
Vorteile:
Mixpanel is best user tracking tool I have experienced. With Mixpanel, you can tell the last location a user used your product from, last action, last login - You can track so many things with it.
Nachteile:
Mixpanel is very expensive from my experience but then I guess it is so because it is a very good software.
This is a must. If a client doesn't have a tool for user-side analytics, Mixpanel's my first choice.

- JQL skills required for many analytics use cases - sometimes buggy - very slow lately - I don't know what happened but the MP team must have made major changes to their tech stack - the tool has been really slow since March

Customers may see all of this on personalized panels, along with reports that are easy to interpret. Every tiny change can be shared with my coworkers, which extends the possibility for finding solutions and leveraging that information to establish precise timeframes.
Nachteile:
The platform's master requires lengthy training before he or she can use it to its full potential. There are instances when there are errors in the data that have been gathered, or when you do not receive what you are looking for, and this may be due to the fact that the data has not been set up correctly by the user, which can be quite distracting.

MixPanel has a very tough onboarding and feature adoption, too many user properties and filters further extend the learning curve.

Mixpanel provides you best analytics. You can easily integrate it in your app, website, member area etc. It also offers email campaigns and push notification. You can easily create segmentation and target the audience easily. You can automate the campaigns and push notifications with the help of funnel.
Nachteile:
Pricing is too high. Should support dynamic dashboard support for reporting.

Sign-up was too easy and the free tier is very generous. Installation was time consuming but this is mainly related to our codebase. Segment integration is working like a charm. The best app for setting up analytics for SaaS apps.
Nachteile:
Emailing user experience should be reimagined and made much more intuitive to match the amazing user experience of the whole app.
Great analytics platform but difficult to integrate
Kommentare: Overall it has been kind of a love and hate relationship. Again when the integration was done correctly I loved the tool but everytime I want to create a new event , I need the tech support.
Vorteile:
The reports and the dashboards are amazing. I can run analysis on basically everything, all the events that are happening outside and inside my software.
Nachteile:
It takes long time to integrate it and It's difficult to do it right. It's maybe more suitable for enterprise customers.
Great for studying user behaviour - works perfectly with low code
Kommentare: I was suggested Mixpanel by a friend of mine, it took me very little time to implement it on my webapp, and have most of the user-behaviour tracking features in place. The dashboard is very easy to use and this allowed me to see the results immediately. You need to know what users do on your platform or website, and this was an effortless winner.
Vorteile:
Mixpanel is the perfect tool to track user behaviour, analyze behavioural data and optimize your website or webapp. It integrates seamlessly with low-code platforms, such as Bubble. It offers a highly customisable set of features, and you can track basically any action on your website. Their UI is easy, setup time is very short. It's also very conveniently priced, so great for bootstrapped projects.
Nachteile:
In my experience, I still have to find negative sides, or features that are missing. Overall a great product, easy to implement, and conveniently priced. It's a solid solution, with not many negative sides to it.

Limitations on creating custom reports. I wanted to export all data from MixPanel to an Excel sheet. But since there are limitations on creating custom reports, the Excel sheet cannot fit all data into one sheet.

Super powerful analytics
Vorteile:
I used to always use google analytics but have become a huge fan of Mixpanel. It's super easy to set up and to integrate into your workflow. It's easy to set up segmentations and flows so you can see how people move through your site or product. This has been hugely helpful in our ability to optimize conversion.
Nachteile:
I'm curious how they can improve the collaboration abilities with teammates and allow for more streamlined experiments.
Great even tracking platform
Vorteile:
Mixpanel lets me track how often users are performing a specific pattern of interactions with my websites/web apps. It makes it easy to visualize the frequency and incidence of these events, and use the data in conjunction with other platforms like Google Analytics.
Nachteile:
There's a bit of a learning curve, especially if you haven't used a similar platform in the past. I have also found that certain ad-blockers might cause events not to register.
Valuable Tool for Understanding Your Customer's Behaviours in Depth

Mixpanel is an invaluable tool for every marketing & product team. We were able to learn very useful insights about how our customers using our product which helped us identify areas for product improvement.
Nachteile:
To get the maximum value from Mixpanel, it pays off to have a data analyst on your team. This can be hard for early / growing stage startups as they typically rely on few people executing multiple jobs.
Great software once you get it going
Kommentare: With mixpanel keeping me updated on the latest statistics I can enhance my business because I make more money if I know what people want instead of getting outdated information and leaving it up to guess work.
Vorteile:
I like getting answers as soon as I need them it's very on the go since statistics change constantly it's nice to have them easily available. Customer service is very friendly and when you're having issues bringing up your stats they can find them easily and help you out.
Nachteile:
What I liked least is when going to sign up for an account for some reason their webpage makes your tablet crash repetitively and then keeps freezing up your browser so it was very hard to set up an account.
Best analytics product there is but very expensive.
Kommentare: Great analytics but the pricing is no longer worth it.
Vorteile:
Compared to others like Flurry and Amplitude there are much more features in Mixpanel. Lets you explore user profiles and see each users revenue and target push notifications to users with campaigns. Also lets you set properties on users so that you can enable features specific users and do A/B testing.
Nachteile:
The pricing is way to high for anyone other then a large company they used to have a good free plan but the current free plan with its limits is useless for production apps.

I liked that it was very intuitive to use. For example creating dashboards, product analysis (both web and mobile) and making funnels is very easy.
Nachteile:
There has always been an issue where we have trouble attributing events to client IDs when we bring the Mixpanel data outside of Mixpanel (for example our data warehouse). We end up having events that are missing or that are not attributed back to our clients.
