Great software for any home inspection business

Kommentare: 9 out of 10. I prefer Spectora over many other software companies. The fee is a little more than others but you get what you pay for.

Vorteile:

The simplicity of the templates and the end product for my clients is top notch. I like the payment processing and contract delivery.

Nachteile:

Photo editing and the ability to easily navigate the financials of what payments are unpaid by clients vs what payments are paid or even processing.

Vorteile:

What I like most about Spectora is the combination of its visually appealing reports and its high level of customization. The reports look professional and polished, which impresses clients every time. The customization options allow me to tailor each report to specific needs, ensuring I can deliver exactly what is required. The customer service is exceptional, with a responsive and knowledgeable support team that is always ready to assist. The automation of emails and texts has significantly streamlined my communication process, saving me time and reducing the risk of missed follow-ups. Spectora’s integration with QuickBooks and Mailchimp is another standout feature. It simplifies my accounting and marketing efforts, making it easy to manage finances and stay connected with clients. Nachteile:

As the owner of my inspection company, I find the cost of using Spectora to be a bit high, especially when adding additional inspectors to my team. While I absolutely love the software and the extensive features it offers, the pricing can be a bit steep as my business grows. It's something I have to carefully consider to ensure it aligns with my budget and expansion plans. Nonetheless, the value Spectora brings to my inspection process in terms of efficiency, customization, and top-notch support makes it a worthwhile investment for my company.

No Clients Viewing Control

Kommentare: Spectora has good customer service and great pictures. The report writing is easy for in the field work. The customer service try's to help but is limited do to the software design. Your requested changes to the software get sent to die some where in the cloud. Probably just a way to pacify the users.
Customer call backs on how to use the system is very time consuming for our office staff. The customer confusion is the worst of part of using this software.

Vorteile:

The picture and video quality of the delivery to clients is beautiful to read. The summary page is nice. The online view separates the legal mumbo jumbo so the customer can actually read the report that we type.

Nachteile:

The inspector is in control of the in the field software but has no control on what the clients sees on there end. It like sending your report to a 3party website that you have no control over how the client gets to see things. There is no control over what your clients sees when sending info to clients, such as payments how to view the report. When the report is delivered customers cant find the report with all the extra menu items. The customers are confused with TO DO, Task, Documents. People are always calling our office on trying to figure out how to pay or sign the contract or even to find the report when we sent it to them. There is no way to send the report to another email in the software just clients and agents. So if contractors need the report to bid the job you have to try to copy and paste a link in your personal email to send it. Finding past jobs is difficult there is no search bar

Best Software!

Kommentare: Delightful! Amazing! An inspector's best friend!

Vorteile:

This app has taken away the burden of reporting. Its extremely easy to navigate, customize, and use in the field. I've used other software such as 3D Inspect and Home Guage and had to work for hours post inspection adding photos and comments. Spectora allows me to observe and report and deliver same day. Before spectora i could only do 2 inspections a day, and id have to work ALL day to do it. With Spectora, I've done as many as 5 inspections in a day and had the reports out that evening.

Nachteile:

The apple version works beyter than android currently.

Its the only program ill ever use

Vorteile:

The software and program are great but I think what I like the most is the team behind it. The fast online help when I have an issue or question. They are always there to help and go as far as sending how to vids or just fixing the problem for me. Very friendly staff. Again the best part of Spectora is feeling apart of the team with them.

Nachteile:

I can't thank them for all the amazing work they have done or helping me out in person.

Spectora is an all in one software. Im able to edit and tailor my reports and the templates to exactly how i like, which makes performing the inspection while doing the report very time efficient. I also like how inspections can be scheduled by clients or agents, and spectora captures your agreement and payment. Customer service is great too. Very much worth it!

Nachteile:

i couldnt transfer the exact software i was using prior but i found a better template to work from so it worked out

Nachteile:

As I delve into commercial inspections to navigate the slow real estate market, I attempted to make some edits to my automations only to hit a roadblock. Turns out, Spectora requires me to upgrade to their custom phone line service at $20 a month just to make simple text adjustments – more expensive than what I pay per line with my cell provider! It's frustrating to feel nickel and dimed, especially when all I need is a platform that doesn't charge for every little tweak. All I wanted was to remove the word 'home' and keep 'inspection' in my automated text.

GOOD - STILL ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

Kommentare: Overall, I do believe Spectora is the best software available for report writing, but there is still room for improvement.

Vorteile:

There are several things that I appreciate about Spectora report writing software. Time is currency and Spectora certainly minimizes how much time it takes to set up appointments, manage clerical tasks, generate business reports, communicate with clients, and process payments.

Nachteile:

Small user functions within the report building side of the software do not offer functions that other fluid report writing programs provide- such as, quick comments for photos. I use about 150-500 photos in a report, depending on the size of the structure. With a quick comment feature, small captions could be applied to general or common photos of systems, materials, and components with the click of a button, instead of typing out full sentences for each photo. This would shave about 30 minutes to an hour off of the report writing process for me, personally. Having a scrollable multi-file well/window within the report writing page, to pull pictures and illustrations from, would be ideal! That way, the report writing page would not have to be minimized in order to pull pictures and illustrations from a separate window on the screen. It would be nice to have everything fit on one page, instead of having to flip through several windows on the computer screen. This would minimize time spent writing the reports. The customer support is known to be available, but the chat help is spotty and often unreliable. If a question is presented to the chat feature during times of use (likely not normal business hours) the quickest common response time I receive is is the next morning on EST, when I am no longer available. Other times, I am satisfied with with how prompt a response is presented by an online service agent.

Best Customer support Ever

Kommentare: My Over all experience has been wonderful!, I am not a tech kinda person, due to the my advanced age, but that never is a problem with the support team!!.

Vorteile:

The customer support is beyond anything in the industry. It does not matter, what kind of issue or problem I have, or had, the customer support team squashes every single problem or issue. NOTHING phases this team of professionals. They are absolutely the best in the industry, everyone of the deserves a pay raise, with a support team like this, there is no limit to what can be accomplished!!!.

Spectora is an Essential Tool for Home Inspectors

Kommentare: Won't live without it. Spectora is an Essential Tool for Home Inspectors that caters to the industry and continuously improves.

Vorteile:

I use Spectora Software. They also provide and host my website which includes integrated features with the software. User friendly and great support. It also pulls all my credentials from the International Assocation of Certified Home Inspectors.

Nachteile:

I'm not sure I've experienced any cons worth writing about. I'm growing along with them, and we are both continuously improving.

Spectora is a one stop shop. They cover everything from scheduling, my website hosting / design, and the final product that is my home inspection report.

Nachteile:

To be honest I have no feedback for improvement. They run a tight ship.

Best Customer Service in the Segment

Kommentare: I have been with them since before the launch of the new platform. It is far superior to the other companies that I have used.

Vorteile:

Very easy to customize. Simple to adjust on site.

Nachteile:

Syncing reports is too time consuming. Getting info from handheld device (iPad) to desk top takes too long.

It is very easy to use for the client and inspector.

That the software can't be tailored to each inspector individually. When settings are set they are for all inspectors. For example, the availability setting can't be different per inspector.

The Top Software

Kommentare: I would highly recommend this software to any inspector. I have tried using all of the big names and this one is above them all. The report writing is fast and the online portal for clients is easy for anyone to work their way through. Setting up inspections takes a minute or two, automatic emails to confirm/layout your inspection details for clients and give them access to the online portal where they can view the report, invoice and other helpful information.
Keep it up Spectora!

Vorteile:

The ease of use when first starting your company out and then the automation is second to none. Very easy to use software for elderly clients and for those with difficulty understanding English. Can complete even the most invasive report in a very reasonable time.

Nachteile:

The only con is the price compared to the other top brands.

Least - I hate how it works (or should say does NOT work) with regards to use with …oh I dont know lets start with iPads (newer Pro), also certain browsers —- pretty much any other than Chrome - especially regards to watching vids once youve recorded them. But man! I love the ability to draft vids within the report - this is huge!

Leaving the previous payment processing company and using the current payment system is the only “con”.
