Like many when you're building a mobile and web application development business you need to get things moving quickly and without hassle. Iubenda offers that and simplifies the legal matters. As an end-user to many world-wide applications, my data and how it is stored, and processed matters to me, and I want the same for my end-users. Iubenda is simple to use and integrate into your web and mobile applications and its great if you want to understand data protection law.

Nachteile:

That I license covers an app or website and cannot be easily made to cover an entire organisation for example take a business that might have a mobile app, dashboard, and website. It would be great if Iubenda made it so one license covers the various applications even though yes they may have different data processing matters.

Worst customer service ever

Kommentare: We have been a client for 2 years. We had an issue with the cookie solution in one of our Wordpress sites and the team never responded despite several messages as that was critical for us. We needed to purchase another solution (so we ended up paying for two). As we are not renewing the yearly commitment we have just received a call. So sales department is up and running, not sure yet there is any customer support at all. Very bad experience for us.

Vorteile:

It is fairly easy to use and comprehensive.

Nachteile:

We had a problem with the cookie solution and despite many requests we never received any support.

We all search for lower cost services, maybe they can lower the price point for the simplest policies, but given the amount of effort it saves, in the end the price is OK.

Using iubenba will hurt your Google rankings

Kommentare: I cannot recommend iubenda to any company that uses SEO as part of their go to market strategy. Interestingly, fixing their cookie consent file is an opportunity for them to turn a weakness into a strength, but they haven't acted on that. If they do, I'll happily update this review.

I love the idea of iubenda. A great starting place for compliance.

Nachteile:

After six months of complaining that the "core" file used for cookie consent is causing our site to fall in Google's rankings, the company has still not made any changes. More than 70% of their core file is unused by our settings, and that slows down our page load speed enough for our site to now fail Google's Core Web Vitals. They claim they are looking into this, however, it's been six months so I'm writing this poor review to hopefully help motivate the team to fix this. We rely heavily on SEO and have isolated iubenda as our bottleneck, and the team has shown no actionable response.

A full-featured pruvacy & cookie policy solution

Kommentare: Iubenda is an unbeatable companion to manage my client's privacy policies: they are small businesses or professionals and they don't have a legal office who writes down their policies. Iubenda offers a valid solution to be compliant with EU, CalOPPA and APP.

Vorteile:

First of all, I'd like to mention the support: they always answer in a timely manner and their help is always effective. The software is the most complete tool to generate and maintain privacy and cookie policies and to gather cookie consent.

Nachteile:

Managing cookie consent is a little more tricky, as you have to set up more features. I guess that the GDPR rules don't help, though...

An easy and realiable solution for privacy and GDPR

Kommentare: My experience is very good, the software is very easy to use and complete, and the support is very good, they reply to my mail quickly.

Vorteile:

The product is complete and easy to use and customize, accomplish to privacy and GDPR requirements for my customers was difficult and with Iubenda I can give theme a reliable solution.

Nachteile:

The panel is easy to use, but some features are not so clear, it needs a bit of attention.

Essential!

Kommentare: Absolutely essential, I've been a super early adopter and it's the solution to a problem: the legal management of Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. A must have.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, easy to install, also for dummies. Fast and super useful!

Nachteile:

Just one thing: the Consent Solution is, currently, hard to manage due to the fact that it requires development knowledge and doesn't have a dashboard to manage the consent certificates generated when users allow to navigate a website.

GDPR made easy

Kommentare: GDPR is tedious; I'm a web designer but suddenly I'm supposed to be a lawyer too. Iubenda takes that problem away and gives me peace of mind.

Vorteile:

It's easy to set up and can be implemented on a Wordpress site with a simple plugin.

Nachteile:

I prefer to pay per site, and Iubenda is 'one size fits all'. Whether it's a simple one page site or a complex multi page site, the price is the same. More flexible pricing would be good or, better still, more availability of the free version for small projects.

Set it up and forget it until somethings is changed. This is he way, you find time for all the things, that you need to run your business and make money.

Nachteile:

Its not the software, that I did not like, but the complexity of websites, their compliance to law and how one person should be able to deal with it all on his or her own.

Maybe not suitable for complex solutions, could be pricey for websites with high traffic.

Saves me from chasing Attorneys

Kommentare: Their service, product and customer service have all made the price worth it. You should at least consider trying this out, you will see the savings in the long run, especially if you're running a high volume site (and not just a hobby site).

Vorteile:

It does a lot of work for you. Takes care of document structure and makes sure you don't forget a critical section. I also really like how it scans my website and lets me know what I should consider including in my policies.

Nachteile:

It is a bit pricey, you pay per site. But when you think about how much time and energy this saves in finding an attorney to help with this, it is worth it.
