PrimePay Good Service

Kommentare: PrimePay in general has been very responsive to our needs and requests. Having worked with multiple payroll companies in the past, I appreciate the large array of features combined with high touch customer service. I definitely recommend them.

Vorteile:

The software is more customizable than most. The customer service and responsiveness is quite good for a payroll company. PrimePay manages to deliver high quality features like a large company, but more high touch service like a smaller company.

Nachteile:

There is a limit to customization. The software cannot show a running tally of a person's hours worked per workweek on their time card in the mobile version. This has caused our mobile employees some issues in the field because they must manually add their timecards to stay on track for weekly hours and avoid unauthorized overtime.

Kommentare: Overall, I like Primepay. They worked professionally and helped me resolve any issue that came up.

Vorteile:

I like the onboarding process. From getting all of your documents together to communication, it was really good. The price is average for what you can pay. I like when you get one deticated person to deal with from onboarding to runing payrolls. I like that she was really hands on with making sure you know all the ins and outs of getting started. She was very meticulous and task driven. She did not run it untill we confirmed everything.

Nachteile:

I didn't like the switiching to a new person to handle my account. Like other payroll services, you get one person for on boarding and another for the rest of your term. That was the case here. The second person wan't bad at her job she just wasn't as experienced or meticulous. We had a few times that weren't entered correctly or something was missed in email. We eventually got it. It just took time.

PrimePay Review

Kommentare: PrimePay has been very helpful with implementing the software throughout our company and has been willing to meet through calls for training and understanding. The support team has been great through the transition of leaving implementation.

Vorteile:

PrimePay has a great grasp on important payroll functions like taxes and seamless processing of direct deposits and third party payments. There is an opportunity to create an integration to NetSuite which appealed to us.

Nachteile:

There are slow loading times for reporting and payroll calculation, the help articles seem a little outdated. I think some of the implementation objects might have been done out of order leading us to reorganize a few things.

TOO MANY ISSUES - HAD TO LEAVE THEM AFTER 15 YEARS

Kommentare: In the last 2 years we have had so many issues I had no choice but to fire them. In one month they forgot to pay someone, the next period, forgot to pay 2 employees OT, then the following month forgot to pay everyone. In addition, they screwed up our 1099's and forgot to pay a tax that resulted in a fine! Sorry, but small businesses do not have the manpower to deal with this.

Vorteile:

Their customer service line people have been awesome.

Nachteile:

Errors. Lack of follow-up. Did not find the website particularly user friendly when I took over 4 years ago, but every year since they seem to be making upgrades and they are trying to improve but it is no where as user friendly than others I have worked with.

Kommentare: Disaster. By far the worst business experience I have had. I'm not sure if they were just that incapable or just didn't blatantly care. Either way, it caused immense stress for me and my team. Still waiting to see if they paid all the taxes in a timely manner as they were not able to do anything else effectively - like call a client back or answer ANY questions.

Vorteile:

Leaving them and hiring someone who was competent at the product they are selling.

Nachteile:

The entire time there. We still have multiple issues which have not been resolved. We requested to leave our contract after 8 weeks! due to the constant/excessive issues with Prime Pay and still have not received a response on next steps to terminate our relationship.

Kommentare: We had higher expectations when implementing PrimePay. I am hoping with time we can get it to where we need it, but so far it has not met our expectations.

Vorteile:

I like the position management feature and they sold us on state of the art dashboards; however, once live we realized you can't actually get any data behind the dashboards.

Nachteile:

Lack of integration between HRIS and T&L/payroll. Lack of functionality on payroll. Lack of reporting capabilities.

Kommentare: As with any product, it has its pros and cons.

Vorteile:

Integration with our financial software. Configurable reports. Ease of use in payroll management and processing. Ease of use in time off requesting, life events, and benefit management. I9 management and verification. The implementation and customer support teams have been great to work with.

Nachteile:

No 360 EDI feed for our benefits. Tax allocation issues with crews working in multiple states. No option to upload person documents per employees, just has company upload. Can't customize access/permission per managers and administrators, strictly role based. We have a parent company with multiple subsidiaries, there is no way to transfer between without termination and rehire, which makes a mess with benefits and tenure. :(

PrimePay Timeworks and Payroll

Kommentare: We have been able to address the majority of our needs and concerns with the Timeworks product. The personal assigned rep for payroll is a great benefit. We had repeatedly requested an increase to functionality with Timeworks. We were told it wasn't possible, however we found out that there was an upgrade to the Timeworks app that addressed the particular issue. While we were pleased with that, we were never informed this upgrade had been done or was available, so we missed out on the use of the upgraded product for nearly a year before we discovered it had been released.

Vorteile:

It is customizable and tailored to our business needs. The previous functionality issues with Timeworks have been addressed with the upgrade.

Nachteile:

It does occasionally have "bugs" especially with the geotagging feature. Since geotagging is a requirement for regulatory compliance within our business, we must monitor this carefully.

Kommentare: It used to be good and I referred all my clients to it. Now I am not referring anyone to PrimePay and many of my clients have decided to move away from it.

Vorteile:

When it was local in the NW it was my go to resource for payroll- now not so much.

Nachteile:

ZERO customer support. Inordinate wait times on hold and no timely responses to emails.

New HR Platform

Kommentare: Neutral experience with the implementation of the new HR platform.
It was way more work than we were led to believe.
Only about 5% of employee files from HR3 were transferred to PrimePay HR, when I was told multiple times that everything was complete.
Never received links to recorded training sessions after they were complete.
Very minimal training.
No idea how to run a decent report.
Not sure who are support staff is after implementation.
Support tickets are still not getting answered.

Vorteile:

The payroll module is very user friendly. No issues. The time clock module is very user friendly. No issues.

Nachteile:

The new HR module is not user friendly. It is more for very large companies. We only have 55 employees and there are just too many features that we will never need or use. The actions section could have different verbiage as it's not very easy to figure how to complete basic updates if someone has a change. There are too many 'profiles' that just don't help at all and then make it hard to change a date or anything if there is a mistake. Reporting is terrible. The 'positions' feature is just a nightmare, I just want to be able to put in a basic position for my staff, we don't have that many and have to create a whole new position when we have a new hire. HR3 was much more user friendly.

Kommentare: It was a no brainer to switch when we got the change since it was far too difficult to use for what we needed. It had a few positive but we wanted to not waste our time anymore with it. If you have a small company with a few employees it would be fine but not if you have over fifty of them.

Vorteile:

It did a decent job of getting payroll together and sending the paychecks to where they needed to go. Very accurate on the employee PTO and Sick Time as well as the tax codes for them.

Nachteile:

Getting a report was extremely difficult. If you needed one you would need to know in advance to actually needing it since it takes so much time to get it together. Any small hiccup would need you to call customer service to get handled. No way to really change anything yourself which makes it very time consuming.

Kommentare: payroll and tlm program are solid, and the gh onboarding platform integration is great. The response time from the email customer support team is non-existent and infuriating.

Vorteile:

We continue to receive no response on our open tickets. It's been a couple of weeks and no courtesy update has been provided to our questions. Since inception, the timeliness of responses (if any are received) continues to degrade. Is there any hope on the horizon for adding resources to the email [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] team?

Nachteile:

customer support takes weeks to respond, if they respond at all.

Won't leave us alone after cancelling service

Kommentare: Lots of mistakes and decided to do on our own. Since we cancelled they keep calling month in and month out and and we have told them we are successfully doing in-house with less mistakes and less cost, and requested not to call back. Won't take NO for an answer. Need to Buzz Off!

Vorteile:

We used for years and had periodic tax issues. Okay, but can't get rid of them.

Nachteile:

Expensive and can do and track better on our own.

Change and the Character to Adapt

Kommentare: We worked with Prime Pay under the umbrella of a larger organization - however we ran payroll as a separate entity with a separate employer ID # and paid them separately. The organization decided to change, so our last payroll was Friday - March 4. Our logins were cutoff apparently last week and we no longer have access to our reports - It is Monday March 7. I am a CPA in public accounting and I have NEVER seen a payroll company cutoff a customer from obtaining reports even in some of the most unusual circumstances after a final payroll. This tells me about the integrity and character at the top of this company. As a CPA I have a 3 year record retention requirement. I would never refer this company based on this experience. Shame on them.

No Comment Nothing Questionable Integrity

Nachteile:

If you plan to transition to another payroll company - One can always tell the integrity and character of an organization when you leave a company, what the response to the change is. We have choices - we can retain our integrity, character and professionalism with the many companies that were part of the payroll process or we can spite them and cutoff access to reporting.

Kommentare: The software is allowing us to meet DOL requirements for exempt and non-exempt workers.

Vorteile:

It is nice that our employees can login and out remotely. Also, the ability to edit "punches" allows for flexibility in workdays to record compensable time.

Nachteile:

PTO approval process after the fact (ie. someone is ill so doesn't request time off in advance because they don't know they will be ill) is clunky.

Kommentare: software blocks too much access for a user to do what needs to be done and if you have a big problem expect it to take a long period of time and your employees not to get paid before they fix it even if it was due to there lack of communication.

Vorteile:

at first it was user friendly with great customer service. now its all automated and there online reps are rude and act as if there above the customers concerns and do not try to help with there problems.

Nachteile:

the software access for a user is very limited customer service is impossible to help with problems, reps do not want to listen to your concerns and when you ask for a superviser they put you on hold for extended time and argue rather then hear your problems to fix it.

Payroll Services

Kommentare: The benefits I see from using Prime Pay are that I do not have to take much time to get my payroll logged and receive the proper pays for each employee. In the past I would have to spell out every deduction to my payroll service and then it would still come in incorrectly.

Vorteile:

I have been using Prime Pay for my business payroll for quite some time. I really appreciate the customer service I receive. Although my company is small we have many different categories and I have never had a problem getting all of the my employees paid correctly.

Nachteile:

I do not have much need to use the software because once my payroll is complete, I do not need to look at it again until the following week.

Worst Payroll Service Out There

Kommentare: Super frustrating. Way too many mistakes. I'd spend time every week going over payroll journals to make sure they didn't screw them up.

Vorteile:

Years ago, PrimePay was great. You could actually call and talk to someone.

Nachteile:

As their prices skyrocketed, the service diminished. Way too many mistakes. They could not even keep our accruals in order. I'd have to check them weekly. Many day to return a call or email is unacceptable. Moved over to PayChex. So much better. Now PrimePay says I'm on a subsciption bases and want to charge me for the next 6 months. I asked for proof of this with no response.

Prime Pay is Easy

Kommentare: The best customer service, longtime employees, you are not getting someone differnt everytime you contact them That means a lot in the world of business.

Vorteile:

PrimePay and Prime tax make it easy to do our payrolll, and to get any information whenever we need it thru the web portal. We can get pay history, vacation history, tracking of sick days, quickly & easily. If we DO have a question or concern the friendly staff handles it quickly & efficiently. We would never use a different payroll service.

Nachteile:

I have nothing that I dislike, I am pleased with it to no end

Links don't work, can't even reset password. Tech support was no help.

Kommentare: Well it was a good way to get my blood pressure up. Other than that the website is a total fail. I wouldn't have a job if my product sucked this bad.

Vorteile:

Not one thing, the links they e-mailed don't work, can't even reset password. Tech support was no help they told me I needed to talk to my company administrator didn't even ask if I had an account set up already.

Nachteile:

You could make it so people could reset there passwords, your links work that get e-mailed they take you back to the login page. Which is no help the if you don't recall your password. Tech support tells you have to get with your employer. He told me before I logged in that it probably wouldn't work... Shouldn't have wasted my time.

good in most areas but TERRIBLE in trying to access up to date information on quarters completed on 940 and 941
