NGO Donation Platform

Kommentare: It has been good. We have used since 2018 and they have rolled out more and more features. It has accomplished the couple things we needed it to do successfully. Beautiful forms that are customizable. I didn't see need for use of WP plugin even though we use wordpress, it didn't really add much there.

Vorteile:

We loved giving donors the ability to login to recurring gift management. It also allows donor to cover processing fees (and they use it if it's there!).

Nachteile:

Still being developed out dashboard. I've been wanting to see on receipt how much donor paid (like a split) of donation fees. Not able to do that yet.

Useful Tool, Could Use Some Improvement

Kommentare: Im glad i chose it and we will continue to use it but I hope they will continue to refine the important features. The extremely qualified customer service department is super helpful, and able to operate by email which is important to me as I am hard of hearing.

Vorteile:

Its very easy to establish and distribute a fundraiser, and the html codes are user friendly even to a novice. The customer support by email is superb.

Nachteile:

Many features are buried in menus, there are not enough customization options, the banking and payment aspect is a bit muddy.

Great Service | Would Recommend

Kommentare: I had a great experience with Donorbox because Donorbox values people and individuals doing work like our organization and it shows in how they operate and how their services work. Set up and implementation were a breeze and the Donorbox representatives emailing me always gave me clear, honest, and direct answers to all inquiries.

Vorteile:

I like its accessibility most. Between the price, the pay options available to donors, the multiple notifications for contributions, and then the fast and friendly customer service, it was definitely a great choice for the needs of our organization.

Nachteile:

I do wish the donor-facing page for individual campaigns would have more styling options. A few more font options and a few more background options would do it for me. I think that wouldn't be too much to change, while still recognizing the service I used was free. Additionally, though I received a quick and thorough response about this from a Donorbox customer service representative, I also wish the information about Paypal and Stripe fees were a little more clear during set up. This wouldn't have changed our choice to go with Donorbox but it would have given us more room to prepare to add this information to our budgeting documents.

Kommentare: Do the fox gave me an easy, fast, creative solution to setting up online donations quickly and easily, managing my donors, giving great ways and tools to grow my donors and revenue, give great tools to expand online reach, give great ideas about peer to peer fundraising, and overall how to grow and expand my online revenue, campaigns, and engagement so I can have maximum impact

Vorteile:

It’s so easy to set up what is otherwise a complex set of functions to engage donors, engage your audience, manage campaigns, set up all types of giving options, and give you lots of great ideas at the same time to keep growing and engaging!

Nachteile:

Keep more videos on how to keep growing and engaging online company! Keep the customer support as fast and knowledgeable as it currently is!

Simple, Easy, Intuitive, Cost-Effective

Kommentare: Donorbox has allowed us to seamlessly integrate the giving into our accounting system and even has the option to integrate into the donor system should we choose that route. It makes the flow very simple and less time consuming for a small non-profit.

Vorteile:

This software is very simple to setup and integrate into a website to accept donations. The options included to create giving buttons or categories are intuitive and easy to use.

Nachteile:

I had to read several of the help files of how to make the connection between Donorbox, Stripe, and our bank account to accept ACH payments. However, it worked well. We have had a couple of donors who wanted to give by ACH, but could not find their bank in the stripe / plaid system. That was unfortunate, but hopefully they will find another option to give.

Best Choice| Best Price | Easy to Use

Vorteile:

As a nonprofit, DonorBox is the best choice for my organization. It checked all the boxes and makes my accepting donations, designing the donor form, providing auto-generated receipts, and record keeping, a seamless process. As a start-up, this frees up so much time to devote to running the programs.

Nachteile:

No issues at all so this far. Donorbox offers other features I will incorporate in the near future as we grow.

Why I Choose DonorBox

Kommentare: DonorBox is great. They have incredible features that high-paying donor management systems do not have. Their staff is excellent and their prices are genuinely affordable (Like FREE). If I want more integrations, I can pay to have them added. I love that I don't have to pay for tools I really don't use.

Vorteile:

- Links with Stripe- Links with PayPal- Embeds campaigns onto my website- Has track of Donor Moments (Was a major selling point for me)- No Contract

Nachteile:

- It's a little hard to customize the campaign page- Importing Donors requires me to contact the support team

Great experience with Donorbox

Kommentare: It's great having a donation form we can just embed into the website. It makes monthly donations so much easier, as well as tracking donors.

Vorteile:

I really appreciated the ease of setup along with the variety of features offered. I am not super tech savvy, but even I was able to configure our campaign easily. I only remember having one question about set up, which customer support resolved for me quickly and helpfully. One of my favorite things about Donorbox is that they allow the donor to cover processing fees.

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Great platform for crowdfunding

Vorteile:

The UI of donorbox is very user friendly. It is very easy to start a campaign and link it to a payment gateway. Even as a donor it is quite easy to understand the campaign and then donate using one of the several available payment options.

Nachteile:

Only Stripe and PayPal are supported payment gateways. While these are largely popular, not every country is supported by them.

Game Changer

Kommentare: Integration with Salesforce NPSP, Pardot, and Wordpress - after a small learning curve, it's all seamless.

Vorteile:

I can't say enough good things about Donorbox. We were struggling to sync our data to Salesforce and manage recurring donors in prior systems. It was time consuming and inaccurate. We implemented Donorbox and bam - it just works. Their support is responsive. The integration is excellent. The interface is easy. Our recurring donors can manage their own profiles. It's been such a good fit that I recommended it to another client and helped them implement it. I don't usually write reviews but I had to do it here - it's just excellent and if it ever goes away I will cry.

Nachteile:

There's a learning curve. But it's small, and worth learning for our purposes.

Works fine but be prepared to pay extra for integrations

Vorteile:

It is easy to use and set up. Lots of option for integrations. Chat support is usually quite helpful and responds quickly.

Nachteile:

Donorbox's functionality is just fine. To get a great experience out of it, you will have to set up a few integrations that have their own monthly costs. Donorbox recently lost their contact with 360MatchPro and did not notify users, which was frustrating. Setting up field mapping to Salesforce has been challenging and Support has not been helpful.

Best Software

Kommentare: It is one of the best softwares for nonprofit start ups.

Vorteile:

The product is easy to navigate through. The set up was very quick and it integrates well with our work.

Nachteile:

It uses another software that required facebook for verification of information.

Highly Recommend!

Kommentare: I really love this app. It is so easy to use, and you can run multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Ability to run multiple campaigns at the same time. The ability to fully customize what information you want to collect and donor levels, also that you can put descriptions next to donation levels. For example, if you are fund raiser for a particular item, say a backpack, you cam say $20 - 1 backpack, $40 - 2 backpacks, etc.

Nachteile:

Customer service can only be accessed through email, but they are very good about getting back to you.

Off the Charts Useful!

Kommentare: After nearly 2 years use, it has been amazing to see the ongoing options added to this amazing software.

Vorteile:

Searched for a solution for a non-profit website donation page and found DonorBox interface. I was very happy with what I found, and have been even happier since starting use. From super easy end user experience, to simple implementation on websites, Donorbox rocks! Users can donate via bank card, PayPal, or bank account. No fees are charged by DonorBox unless $1000 per month is processed. Other merchant processing fees apply as usual. DonorBox loves mobile users too!

Nachteile:

Only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner!

Great product!

Kommentare: Our online donations have increased since using it. I love DonorBox.

Vorteile:

-Pricing -Easy to set up donation forms -Mobile responsive, makes it easy to give -Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, round up donations -So many nice features!

Nachteile:

It doesn't integrate with other things that we would like it to, so integrations are a little limited.

Great Customer Service

Kommentare: Great, a good platform to bring in regular and one off donations to our wildlife charity. Compared to other similar platforms the fees are just about the cheapest, and most of our donors opt to pay these for us.

Vorteile:

I have been the administrator of our Donorbox account for over a year and whenever I need help I have had a reply the same day, and my queries have all been solved. I have spoken to [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] several times and always sorts everything out for me.

Nachteile:

I can't think of any cons

Great Software and Simple to Use

Kommentare: We have a non profit website and have run various fundraising projects from our site and Donorbox makes it super easy to set up custom donation campaigns and take payments. We use Wix as our website and it was very easy to set up on our site. Also, Donorbox makes it very easy to connect with our payment processor (Strype). In short, donorbox is awesome and critical to enabling us to take donations on our website.

Vorteile:

Very easy to set up, manage and create donation capabilities on my website. Also, super easy integrations with my third party payment processor. I also like the data and reporting. I can see all of my donors, their status, their history, etc.

Nachteile:

I would like to see some improvements to email capabilities. Emails are easy to set-up, use and execute but they are pretty generic. Would love to have some template options to chose from.

Donorbox has been everything we needed it to be!

Vorteile:

Everything about Donorbox has been great. Simple to create, implement, and edit if needed. I've appreciated it's their customer service and willingness to look into unique problems related to my needs/desires for the product. All in all its been a simple and well built product to receive donations.

Nachteile:

One time we ran into some customization hopes we had around design/layout that weren't possible.

Support our needs very well

Kommentare: I can now do trending analysis through the extract function - although need the above enhancement!

It's ease and simplicity is what I like best!

Nachteile:

I submitted a request that would make SO MUCH difference and I'd like to know if it's in the works - Specifically, I want an "account" id to be captured for each donor - which I did add as comments. However, in order to capitalize on this - it has to be added to the TRANSACTIONAL extract I do each month so that I can LINK that account id to my monthly off-line transactional reporting - Please feel free to contact me for more clarity.

I Need Help. Customer Service at Donorbox is On It!

Vorteile:

I absolutely love the Donorbox customer service. I have been a user for years now and don't have problems with the software, my problems come from our customers needing answers for their questions about their donations, my fundraising, etc. If I'm not sure how to answer my customers and donors, time and time again I have reached out to customer service at Donorbox and they have been on it with helpful help and quick solutions. I also love just how simple everything is laid out and at my fingertips. Thank you, guys. We are big fans!

Nachteile:

So far, and it's been years, we are nothing but pleased all the way around.

Perfect For My Nonprofit

Kommentare: They have been a great partner for nonprofit. Our donation page looks professional and sending out tax receipts at the end of the year is as easy as it gets. I recommend them to other nonprofits.

Vorteile:

- Charge very minimal and fair fees for my nonprofit which really helps. - Responsive and helpful customer service. - Easy integration and looks good on our website.

Nachteile:

- Have to download a csv and navigate Excel to track specific fundraising goals.

Well suited for nonprofits

Vorteile:

We like the ability to easily set up campaigns as needed. Everything is within the customer’s control. The feature to email annual donation letters for tax purposes is invaluable. Hours of tedious work was avoided eith a literal click of a button.

Nachteile:

We would like the ability to record in-kind donations so that it can be included in our annual reporting.

Love using Donorbox to Manage my NFP!

Vorteile:

Ease of use & signup! Provides a platform for even the smallest & newest of Not for Profits! The ability to ask donors to pay the fee with their donation helps cover the fees.

Nachteile:

I don't have any Cons to report. All experiences have been positive.

Customer support is outstanding!

Kommentare: My experience with Donorbox is fabulous! Every time I reach out, help seems to be there magically and immediately. The people at Donorbox go above and beyond to help me with every single detail. They never lose patience, are polite, friendly and remain professional.

Vorteile:

It's well designed aesthetically, works well, offers a lot of options and is concise.

Nachteile:

I'm not able to make changes on my own. It's difficult for me to grasp the concept/procedure. I always try to use it first on my own but ultimately, need help from support to accomplish my goal.
