After trying many systems... Ease Central comes out on top
Kommentare: The main benefit our agency has received from this product is the ability to streamline the enrollment experience for our clients. On of our top goals, as it relates to interacting with our clients and prospects, is to teach. We want people to deepen their understanding of healthcare, and their benefits options. Ease Central has helped us further our mission.
Vorteile:
Our agency has committed to using Ease Central as our default system. Though we use others from time to time, Ease Central continues to be the most user friendly choice we're aware of - For employees, company admin, and brokers like us. The reality is - Benefits administration can be complex... Having said that, Ease makes it as simple as our agency has seen.
Nachteile:
There are a few small features that we've requested, and that the Ease Central team is working on. Our first BIG feature request has been implemented - COBRA automation through our preferred COBRA vendor... Outside of that, we'd love to see the system auto-generate term forms for employees who are no longer with the employer or eligible for benefits.

Kommentare: When we selected EASE we were looking for a platform that would be simple to implement and would reduce administrative work time for our account management staff. We have found EASE can accomplish those tasks well. While we did need to designate time for implementation and training for our staff as well as our clients, we found that time spent on ongoing service work reduced.
Vorteile:
The Ease of implementation and carrier connections.
Nachteile:
The lack of options in the H.S.A. contribution build and the cap on broker users.

Kommentare: It's been... Okay. Support and billing really need to learn that they aren't the most important people in the world and should have a way better attitude.

Group benefits usage
Kommentare: Overall experience with ease has been good. The best features I personally like is the rate quoting tool, tracking of employees, and the enrollments.
Vorteile:
I liked the ease of learning and using the system.
Nachteile:
I feel sometimes support wasn't as helpful and getting our Agency subscription/billing fixed was a hassle.
Ease Benefit Management
Kommentare: Ease is a time saver for employee enrollments, for both new hire and open enrollment. Ease has been easy to use and download enrollment forms or reports needed to send to the carriers to get enrollment processed and completed. Ease provides good training for both us and out clients. Clients like using the Ease platform and like getting the reports with benefits information and contribution amounts after open enrollment closes. Ease had made my job easier and I don't have to get paper applications completed by hand by employees. Employees are able to sign electronically through Ease.
Vorteile:
The software is user friendly and easy for employees to navigate to enroll in company benefits. I like the EDI Feed option that some carriers are signed up for, I like the paperless submissions directly to the carriers. Ease is very good for yearly open enrollment set up. Ease provides great reports once open enrollment has closed. Easy to download forms that need to be submitted to carriers who do not use an EDI Feed. Our company group insureds like the Ease platform and find it easy to use. Ease provides good training to everyone. Ease support is friendly and helpful.
Nachteile:
The biggest con is not all carriers are set up on an EDI Feed, so email or faxed enrollment forms must be submitted to the carriers. Once in a while there are a few problems during open enrollment, but Ease does fix them quickly for us.

Ease is an excellent Benefit Admin system to use for all of our clients
Kommentare: I have used Ease almost every workday for almost 3 years and love that they are continually improving the system to be more user friendly for brokers, employers and employees.
Vorteile:
The simple and quick setup process to add a new benefit offering or even a new client.
Nachteile:
The customer service is a bit stretched for knowledge and availability The carrier connections are not as extensive as some other Ben admin systems
Ease is simple, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles.
Kommentare: I use Ease as a broker partner and as an employee of a group - I have experienced the system for set up through enrollment on the admin side as well as on the employee side.
Vorteile:
Simplicity of enrollment, for members (new hires and renewals). Document storage for past enrollment and changes. Quick set up, and easy to change rates and benefits if needed.
Nachteile:
ACA reporting - this can be challenging and sometimes they are not able to fix mistakes that occur (such as newborn dependents don't show up until the month after their birth). EDI capabilities with Core medical carriers (they are adding new carriers everyday for what they call Ease Connections, but no medical carriers yet). Ability to class out products - you have to make a new plan for a different class, you can't use the same and just have class distinctions.
Ease is always improving
Kommentare: I have had a great experience. Ease takes my suggestions for any type of improvement into consideration and is great on customer service.
Vorteile:
They are easy to navigate and they improve their software all the time.
Nachteile:
Nothing. This software is great and the employees love it.
Ease for small agency
Kommentare: Ease has been great. Once you have your data input, managing groups is easy. They even have the ability to connect to the carriers so that when a change is made in ease, it automatically updates the carrier with the change.
Vorteile:
Ease is an intuitive product with features that are easy to learn and use.
Nachteile:
It almost feels like you need to hijack the system a little bit to use it for underwriting a new group. The verbiage and instructions are geared toward a typical open enrollment and it can confuse employees who are completing applications for underwriting purposes.
Easy to use
Kommentare: This has simplified my clients and their employees to enroll onto the Benefit Packages that I sell. It has made it easy for my staff to enroll and terminate employees as well.
Vorteile:
It takes only an hour or so to set up a company onto Ease. We then review it with the client before we release it to the Employees.
Nachteile:
Sometime the functionality of the product it specific to Large Group and has to be adjusted for Small Group
Bill Warren's Ease Review
Vorteile:
The most value I find with the software is that information I need for my clients is readily available. Information on specific employees or the descriptions of a client's benefits are just a click away. Enrolling new groups and open enrollment are much easier since employees receive the enrollment material electronically which includes their benefits and payroll deductions so they can make informed decision. The employer and I can track progress and receive information on a more timely basis and the enrollment material we receive is legible. I can easily download employee enrollment information to the insurance company's enrollment format which save time and is completely accurate. Enrolling new employees during the plan year is much easier for the employer, employee and broker.
Nachteile:
The main issue that I find with the software is that it does not connect with my insurance companies. Currently only 1 of my insurance companies is connected with Ease. Due to the non-connectivity, I have to manually input changes in enrollment. When my customers add to delete employees on their insurance plan, I have to manually make the change on the insurance company's web site. It really simplifies the process for the 1 insurance company that's connected to Ease.
Account Manager
Kommentare: Several years ago, we used Ease to manage the benefits of a large employer with multiple benefits and multiple eligibility rules. The group was managing their benefits manually and via spreadsheets. The group was able to implement everything in Ease. An Ease representative made himself available over a holiday to help us import data and implement this group.
Vorteile:
Ease provides a great platform for onboarding and benefit enrollment. From the setup side, Ease is one place to store all benefit plan information, eligibility rates, employee demographics. I use Ease as my go-to place when I need to reference enrollment or benefit questions.
Nachteile:
I do not have anything specific I can say I do not like about Ease. There are continual enhancements being made and sometimes I do not know about the functionality until I am processing a change or a renewal.

Long Time EASE user
Kommentare: Overall I have had a positive experience and this option works for 98% of groups with 100 or fewer employees.
Vorteile:
I like that you can easily set up and deploy groups. The user interface is easy and clean. Also, this product has great form mapping with real signatures.
Nachteile:
Some more sophisticated benefits may not be supported. Not much in the way of customizing for specific use.
Enroll with EASE
Kommentare: Less paper, more connectivity with carriers and TPA's has improved tremendously.
Vorteile:
All employee information and forms would be stored in one place. All of the company benefits are also in one place and easy to access.
Nachteile:
Voluntary Life connectivity and updates. If the software is going to allow enrollment connection with Voluntary Life products, there should be a feature that will update EASE if an employee is denied Vol Life coverage. This employee benefit piece is hard to manage.
Easy to use, responsive support team, excellent service & training options, very secure.
Vorteile:
LOVE that EaseCentral provides brokers with a single source, easy-to-use system that integrates onboarding, employee benefits, payroll and many additional HR and compliance features to support and bring value to our small business clients. Complex (multiple eligibilities, classes, locations, ...) and customized benefit options are made simple for the employee - allowing them to compare benefit plans, enroll and access their benefit information 24/7. EaseCentral has been an invaluable tool and has allowed us to grow our business and better serve our clients.
Nachteile:
Brokers and Admin are not copied on emails they send out from the EaseCentral site. Unable to search all Employer Groups by an employee's name.
Ease Review
Kommentare: Love it.
Vorteile:
This is such a powerful tool and is helpful in so many ways as far as employee management, benefit management, pulling reports, access to a multitude of information in one place. I have used it both to setup client groups and utilized on the other side as an employee. The employee side was easy, flows well and walks you through it!
Nachteile:
As an administrator, the build is daunting. Unless you have a small group, with a minimal amount of benefits, it can take a long time to build, usually needing to stop and ask questions for the setup. It can get even more frustrating for big groups with multiple classes, locations, divisions, contributions, etc. However, these are the groups that usually need or want to utilize all Ease can offer. As an admin, it takes a lot of time to build, taking away from the day to day work for a broker.
Time Saver
Kommentare: My work requires obtaining accurate census details and the Ease provides that at a moments notice. It speeds up my work in getting insurance proposals and reduces the work my employer clients have to do. The excel spreadsheets makes it so easy to customize each report.
Vorteile:
So easy to conduct enrollments and keep health information confidential. Employees can enroll at home where they can discuss choices with a spouse and have access to medication details for the necessary medical information required.
Nachteile:
The customized reporting option is great, but it's a little complicated to get started and took some time to get good at it.
Ease truly as named can make benefits online a simple process
Kommentare: Really good from our agency and the customer implementation, the simplicity is what a customer needs and they delivered that.
Vorteile:
Simplicity of navigating through the software and the onboarding process is truly excellent.
Nachteile:
The lack of book of business reporting, they can have a better reporting system
Pleasant but can be frustrating
Vorteile:
The ability to have applications generated extremely easily. Applications will typically have all of the necessary information. It is easy to use once you have learned it. It is constantly changing and they are constantly adding new information. Saves a ton of time when working properly.
Nachteile:
There is a lot of room for error. The program does not save everything like it is supposed to at all points. Mapping errors have sometimes caused bigger issues with the company as a whole. Not constantly reliable as certain information does not get mapped despite the website being set up for it. Finding out why issues are happening can be extremely frustrating
Small business Dream
Vorteile:
Ease is great for Small business owners. Ease is a multifunctional tool that helps with all aspects of having employees. There is no need for employees to complete multiple forms and applications and changes are a breeze.
Nachteile:
The reports are sometimes missing information during benefit open enrollment. Be careful with newly eligible employees during open enrollment. They must complete both current and open enrollment plan selections.
Easy to Use and Implement
Kommentare: The ability to give clients a portal in which employees can enroll in benefits without the hassle of paper forms.
Vorteile:
The ease of use, the fact that we have complete control over the site set up and do not have to rely on the team at EaseCentral to set up sites on our behalf
Nachteile:
Waiting patiently for file feeds to the carriers to be set up. The only piece of EaseCentral that is lacking is the inability to actually send enrollments to the carriers. But I know they are working on it.
If time is money, then you'll save a lot of money
Kommentare: No need to hire additional staff to manage growing book of business. Ease allows our team members to process enrollments in a fraction of the time versus paper method.
Vorteile:
Online enrollment platform is simple, clean, and mobile friendly. Support and development is broker centric. Constant improvements and upgraded without losing it's core functionality.
Nachteile:
Does not have the CRM and AMS capabilities I wish it had.
Enrollment made easy!
Kommentare: My experience overall Ease has been fantastic! I have been using it for many years and each year they upgrade it to make it even better.
Vorteile:
This software provides all the data you need to quickly look up rates, contributions, etc.
Nachteile:
Rates with the GA's have different titles within Ease rates. It would be easier if they were all uniform. Some have infertility listed in the rate and some do not.
Very useful enrollment tool
Kommentare: Customer retention. Less back-and-forth with clients (due to complete forms).
Vorteile:
Ease of use by our brokerage and also our client's HR managers and employees. It allows client's employees to enroll even if they are remote, and forms are complete. I like the customization features. Most of the time, your help desk is knowledgeable and responsive.
Nachteile:
Learning curve for our client's HR. Not all forms populate correctly (although I understand this is difficult to remedy). The build-out of the portal can be tricky.
Ease review
Kommentare: We now have most all of our groups in Ease and are able to manage their benefits much more efficiently
Vorteile:
So much easier when our groups are in Ease - all employee and benefit information is at our fingertips

Some companies take a long time to establish a connection and everything does not always feed over correctly.
