Trustworthy and Streamlined Identity Management System

Kommentare: In general, all my dealings with Auth0 have been very satisfying. It is an efficient and flexible solution when it comes to user authentication and access management. This platform is ideal for businesses of all scales primarily due to its flexibility and integration capabilities. Even though some advanced features can take time to grasp, there are tools and support which kindle this problem. Auth0 has contributed to the enhancement of protection and simplicity of user authentication workflows within our company.

Vorteile:

What I enjoy most about Auth0 is that it is very flexible and can easily be integrated into different platforms. It is packed with numerous authentication functionalities such as Single Sign-On (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and social login that enhance the user experience intuitively. The extensive guidelines and fast configuration help promote the tool's use for even those not well-versed in identity management. Furthermore, owing to its architectural design, it ensures that it easily user verification from applications that may either be small scale or large scale.

Nachteile:

A main complaint about Auth0 is their pricing model, which can be very costly in scalability with the increase in the number of users, which especially is a concern for young companies or small establishments. On the other hand, while the free version is fairly good for experimentation, the big jump for the competitive subscriptions may not be reasonable for the smaller groups. Also, the system management tools can sometimes be a bit of a mess with too many tools because sometimes it is not easy to locate particular settings within the tool.

Great option of authentication system with learning curve on complex use cases

Kommentare: Auth0 was a great choice when implementing the authentication in the app. It took away all the complexities that come with the managing authentication system. However it was a bit hard and took some time to implement the third-party services, but once implemented they were working fine.

Vorteile:

I liked how Auth0 integrates with almost all the popular authentication services like Google, Facebook, and GitHub. It also worked great when I used a simple email & password with 2FA.

Nachteile:

While it is easier to implement a basic feature like email & password, when integrating with third-party services the SDKs were challenging as they lacked detailed documentation.

Feedback for Auth0

Kommentare: It fits our needs as an enterprise customer although it can be challenging to work with and we frequently hit limitations. Roll out of new features is very slow and roadmaps are frequently delayed by months to years.

Vorteile:

Out of the box experience covers most use cases

Nachteile:

If your needs are different from the out of the box experience you end up fighting against the system a lot of them to achieve basic things. Session management in Auth0 and logging information around that could be improved. New universal login is a step backwards from classic and still only requires very basic customisation.

Simplifying Enterprise Authentication with Auth0 by Okta

Kommentare: Implementing Auth0 has at a great extent changed our approach to authentication. The solution is user-friendly, and the onboarding process was quicker than our expectation. What has impressed me is the ease of use and robust functionality. Setting up basic configurations is straightforward, yet the platform also offers comprehensive tools for more complex customizations needed in our Company, however this poised a steep learning curve for our developers who had no prior knowledge of this customizations. Generally the experience has been positive.

Vorteile:

What I like about Auth0 by Okta is how it seamlessly handles access and Identity management. It's scalability which allows easy changes as Organizations needs grow. Its already pre-built MFA (Multi Factor Authentication), Social Login and the flexibility to customize them makes this a robust and secure solution for our Enterprise. It also provides deep insights through detailed logs and dashboards which helps to track users trends.

Nachteile:

Too Much updates which ends up disrupting the already designed workflows.

Login once and use for the entire day - Okta’s Auth0

Kommentare: I have been using this everyday for almost a year now. This is the first thing I interact with when I turn my laptop on. It is simple, login, authorise with Okta Verify and you are good to go with your daily tasks. Suppose if I lose network and when I gain it back, it doesn’t ask for password again

Vorteile:

I like the one login concept means just login once and use any service provisioned by my organisation under my name. It is simple and hassle free. I find it very handy, comes with easy integration with CI/CD tools like github, microsoft shared spaces, etc. The UI is simple, easy to understand

Nachteile:

The initial setup is complex followed by the costing slightly on the higher side. So not suitable for small firms. Need some initial tutorials before use.

Auth0: Simplifying Authentication

Kommentare: Auth0 is good for adding to different systems/ projects. We can easily use its basic features but for some advanced features could be better

Vorteile:

Easy to add Auth0 for different systems and also it takes less time to setup.

Nachteile:

Pricing is little confusing and support is also a bit slow.

Auth0 useful application for deployment of business features

Vorteile:

Its range of features from applications for browsers to virtual machines.

Nachteile:

None it is affordable and useful for any business.

Robust but pricey: A mixed review of Auth0

Kommentare: I've use is in my app and it really was a good experience, much easier from devoloping specific apis for login and all other features. Gives a SPA guide that make the integration fluid

Excellent Authentication Product

Kommentare: Overall, I'm very happy with Auth0. I'm using it for 2 clients at the moment and will recommend it for future clients.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use with integration Auth0 with my .NET Core projects. The sample apps are great and make the process easy.

Nachteile:

I don't like the fact that I have to have a paying account to have separate tenants. I would like to be able to manage multiple clients using the product with one email without the need to have a paid account.

How easy it is to get started on it. I have worked with python and node js on it so far and it is been really easy to set up.

Nothing really, maybe I could find cons as my projects grow.

Auth0 experience

Kommentare: Great, Excellency, the only option for secure authentication.

Vorteile:

I subsume a comprehensive login methods, secure and very fast, it covers most the prominent frameworks and library to authenticate user.

Nachteile:

The docs is so confusing somethings, you'll need to search via google.

Good documentation and very supportive customer support. Fairly easy to integrate into existing projects.

Would be nice to have more examples of projects/software that use Auth0.

Solid Authorization Platform

Kommentare: The Auth0 system has provided our company a solid authorization foundation to build our various external-facing applications. With the variety of Auth0 features, we have been able to integrate an increasing number of applications from companies we have acquired. From web applications to system processes to desktop applications, Auth0 has given us the means to centralize all of our product offerings and provide our customers a consistent unified experience.

Vorteile:

Administration site is fairly easy to understand. Metadata along with Rules and Hooks allow for flexibility for token generation . Multiple ways to authenticate (internal and external user data sources, SSO, OAuth2.0 workflow support, etc...) The active developer community is helpful to resolve issues, and if we can't find an issue there, the Support staff are very responsive

Nachteile:

Management of source and deployment of code and configurations across tenants is not very good. Auth0 admin users can have either very limited access or have global access to everything. We would like to have the ability to limit certain functionality to sets of admin users. We were charged for each Machine-To-Machine call (client-credentials workflow), so we needed to be careful how we implemented.

Auth0 Rocks, big time!

Kommentare: All in all, I'd say Auth0 has saved us AT LEAST 10 Man Years of development effort (to date) at a cost of a few dozen $ per month. Fantastic ROI.

Vorteile:

Auth0 is an extraordinarily versatile SaaS. We use it for all our IAM needs across multiple and diverse applications and use cases. We use a whole range of Auth0 features, and have Auth0 integrated with a whole bunch of other 3rd party software solutions that we use. Never seen any problems (suchbas outages etc.), although setting up some features can be complex.

Nachteile:

I have one small gripe. We use Google as our "Social Login" provider, and use Auth0 Rules to allow only users from authorised domains to authenticate. This works, but not perfectly. Users who authenticate with their personal gmail.com addresses (happens inadvertently all the time when users are logged in to their personal gmail accounts) are blocked by tbe Rules, but don't get a meaningful error message.

Identity Management shortcut

Kommentare: Overall, easy to use, fast to implement, and great user management dashboard makes it a rather compelling experience.

Vorteile:

Absolutely love how easy it is to take care of all things identity. It's a real shortcut: they take care of managing users, security, accounts, and more. Saved me a ton of time.

Nachteile:

Some of the feature implementation code is a bit convoluted, but nothing crazy. Support is available as well, and they know their product well enough to get you through whatever blockers you've got.

Kommentare: The overall experience with Auth0 has been very satisfied. The integration process was thorough but easy. Customization options are ample.

Vorteile:

The thing I like the most about Auth0 is the ability to connect any API or application written in . any language or technology to Auth0 with ease.

Nachteile:

The pricing is very expensive compared to other solutions. Also, the API is changed frequently leading to frequent required code changes.

Kommentare: really great -- hard problem to solve - only thing better would be open source or even simpler turnkey add auth;

Vorteile:

oauth is a *messy space* and auth0 is one of the few startup friendly options around that (a) lets you add other providers and (b) has a pay-as-you SaaS and small biz startup friendly pricing

it's a bit complicated to work with and wish someone just had an API that let devs have a standard access model and abstracted away with auth service using

Developers friendly

Kommentare: I'll keep using in my projects for long time. All plans quota are enough to start for any company.

Vorteile:

Use theirs code sample in many languages to start a project faster or add to your existing code with a few lines of codes, add credentials and start using it in less than 15 minutes.

Nachteile:

Sometimes documentation would be hard to understand but when you got it... You got it.
